Deep into Black Friday, Amazon has finally offered a pretty sweet deal on a Meta Quest 3 512GB VR headset. You can get it for the current retail price of $499.99, however Amazon is throwing in a bonus $75 in Amazon digital credit.
This is very similar to the super popular Meta Quest 3S VR headset deal that has been floating around since the beginning of the week. I am not complaining, because it was less than two months go that Meta dropped the official retail price from $649.99 to $499.99. The bonus $75 credit is just icing on the cake.

The Meta Quest 3 is the best standalone consumer-oriented VR headset you can get right now. It continues Meta’s legacy of offering a cost-effective headset that doesn’t require an expensive gaming PC, but can still benefit from one if you have it. That’s a unique feature that sets it apart from almost every other VR headset out there, other than its own predecessors. It's not the best value for a VR headset. That title goes to the Meta Quest 3S. However, the Quest 3 has enough features under its belt to make it the better purchase for experienced VR enthusiasts who want a better visual experience.
What really sets this deal above all other VR deals (like the PlayStation VR2) is that the Meta Quest 3 can be played completely untethered. In essence, the Quest 3S has very similar internals, and the same Touch controllers, but with downgraded optics. That's more significant than it looks on paper. How much you enjoy your VR headset is largely affected by the quality of the image. There might be some haptic feedback involved, but what you're most perceiving is visual. If the image that you see if blurry, or distorted, it takes you out of the immersion.
In my Quest 3 review, I wrote that "the Quest 3 continues Meta’s legacy of offering a cost-effective headset that doesn’t require an expensive gaming PC, but can still benefit from one if you have it. That’s a unique feature that sets it apart from almost every other VR headset out there, other than its own predecessors. The sheer amount of upgrades are well worth the $200 generational price increase. For everyone else is willing to make the splurge, the Quest 3 sets the new standard for VR and mixed reality gaming."

The Acer Nitro 5 is the perfect pick for thrifty gamers looking for the performance of a higher-priced gaming laptop without breaking the bank. Its retail price is already fairly competitive, with models in the Nitro 5 series ranging from anywhere between $580 to $1,200.
Right now, Amazon is offering one of the best prices of the year for the $779.99 version at just $599.99, saving buyers a total of $180. It's a low price to pay for a laptop powered by the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU, which makes playing a game like Cyberpunk 2077 on the highest settings possible (which, let's be honest, is a pretty lofty feat on a laptop).

While its competitor, the Ryzen 5 Processor, is typically better for handling multi-threaded workloads, the i5 features much faster speeds overall when it comes to single-core performance.
In terms of storage space, the laptop comes installed with 8GB of RAM but can reach a capacity of 32GB. It's equipped with a 512GB Gen 4 SSD that may not be big enough for gamers with profoundly large gaming archives, but certainly does the trick if you're downloading a few games at a time from your Steam library. The computer's battery also has the advantage on its competitors with a lifespan of 57 Watt Hours, which lasted around 9 hours and 40 minutes in practice based on PCMark's battery test.
When it comes to visuals, the Acer Nitro 5 certainly does not feel budget, despite its low price. This version offers a 15.6" screen with a quick 144Hz refresh rate and a display resolution of 1920x1080 that makes gameplay effective and incredibly immersive. The backlit keyboard takes this laptop to the next level and heavily caters to gamers by using a brighter outline that's used to illuminate the WASD and arrow keys.
Beyond how it looks, feels, and plays, one of the most notable features of this gaming laptop is the Nitro V 15 dual fans and exhaust system that keep the computer chilled during use. Say goodbye to crashing mid-game due to overheating. Alienware's most recent Black Friday deal is a good one. As part of the Alienware Black Friday Sale, Dell (which owns the Alienware brand) is offering an Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 4070 Ti Super gaming PC for only $1,499.99 with free shipping after a $600 instant discount. This is currently the least expensive Black Friday deal on an RTX 4070 Ti gaming PC so far. The RTX 4070 Ti GPU is powerful enough to handle gaming at up to 4K at a solid 60fps, even with the recently released games like Black Myth: Wukong or Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC features an Intel Core i7-14700F CPU, RTX 4070 Ti Super GPU, 16GB of DDR5-1600MHz RAM, and a 1TB M.2 SSD. The Intel Core i7-14700F Raptor Lake Refresh CPU boasts a max clock of 5.4GHz with 20 cores, 28 threads, and a 33MB cache. If you plan to use this PC as a gaming rig, then an i7 is a better choice in terms of value than an i9. Performance is nearly identical because games cannot utilize the extra cores that the i9 has and at higher resolutions, games are almost always GPU-bound.
The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super is about 10% more powerful than the RTX 4070 Ti. This is a great card for gaming at any resolution, from 1080p all the way to 4K. At 1080p and 1440p you'll be able to achieve 144fps or beyond in most games, so it's a great complement to FHD or QHD monitors capable of achieving high refresh rates. 4K is a much more demanding resolution, but you should still be able to run most games at a consistent 60fps. The RTX 4070 Ti Super also has more VRAM than the RTX 4070 Ti (16GB vs 12GB), which means it's a great economical option for AI work.

It features a simple yet proven airflow pattern; air is drawn in through the side intake vents over the GPU area and a 120mm fan at the front of the case, and exhausts by way of a 120mm rear fan and two 120mm top fans. So it’s no surprise that this year’s Walmart Black Friday sale features the best deal on a new iPhone we’ve seen all year: Buy a select iPhone at Walmart, and you’ll get up to $500 in Walmart gift cards (see the deal here). At a store that sells just about everything, that’s nearly as good as cash. And it’s by far the best iPhone deal we’ve found this Black Friday.

The deal is valid on pretty much all models of iPhone 16 and 15, including iPhone and iPhone Plus (the larger model), as well as iPhone Pro and Pro Max. Alternatively, if you want to hop to the Android side, you can get the same gift card deal on Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24 Ultra. All you have to do is select the one you want on the carrier of your choice: Verizon, AT&T, or Straight Talk.
Personally, I would recommend going with an iPhone 16 since it’s the newest model, and the standard iPhone 16 is very close to the 16 Pro in terms of features. Both can run Apple Intelligence, the new AI features that have begun rolling out and will continue throughout this year and next. In its current state, Apple Intelligence can do things like write and edit emails, create images, identify plants and animals in your photos, and more. Siri is also getting major improvevments and can connect to ChatGPT for help when Siri doesn’t have an answer.
As noted above, if you have an eligible trade-in to offer, you can crank the free gift card amount all the way up to $1,500, which can buy you a lot at Walmart. This deal runs through December 8, which is a week past Cyber Monday. That means you have a good deal of time to consider your options and make the right choice for you.

AirPod Pro (2nd Gen with USB-C) is on sale at Amazon for $153.99 right now. That’s the lowest price they've ever been, and I don't think they'll drop lower. Grab them if you're in the market. As for standard AirPods, both Amazon and Target are offering a $10 off the new 4th gen AirPods with active noise cancellation, as well as the identical model without ANC. I personally prefer the Pro model because the silicon ear tips work well for me, but some people don't like them.
The iPad deals are also live. A baseline 9th-gen iPad is on sale for $199, the same price it was during last year’s Black Friday sale. Personally, I wouldn't pick this one up, because that model is three years old. I'd go with the 10th-gen iPad, which is on sale at Amazon for just $50 more and has a faster processor that will last longer. The iPad mini deals are great if you like that form factor, or you can get significantly more power with an Air or Pro.
The Apple Watch is the best smartwatch for iOS users. It's sleek, stylish and full of useful features that complement your iPhone. This year's baseline MacBook Air with an M3 chip is on sale at Amazon for $849, a steep $250 discount off MSRP. This is a fantastic laptop for just about anybody, and will last many years with solid performance. And if you have any other Apple device (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, AirPods), it syncs up your data automatically, which is always nice. Alternatively, you can pick up 2022's M2 chip-powered model for $100 less. I'd personally stick with the M3 if you can swing it, since it'll give you more bang for your buck. However, if you need even more power for editing, creative work or gaming, the brand-new 2024 MacBook Pro with M4 chip is also on sale for $1,399.
Just like the Mini, the iMac, an all-in-one desktop computer, got the M4 upgrade this year. This computer starts at 16GB of RAM and comes in seven stunning color options, from a staid silver to bold green, blue, and red, to name a few. The 4.5K display is the standout feature here, measuring 24". The iMac also comes with a Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse, both of which now have USB-C ports for charging. This machine looks great on any desk you put it on, and it packs a whole lot of computing power.
AirTags are the unsung heroes of the Apple lineup. They’re not flashy like some of the other products, but they get the job done and give you peace of mind. AirTags tell you the location of whatever you’ve attached them to; be that your keys, wallet, or even your child. A four-pack is currently on sale for $72.99, which is real close to their all-time low price of $69.99. I wouldn’t expect them to drop much lower this Black Friday.

Pretty much any major product Apple sells: iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, etc. Personally, I'd rather have an up-front discount at the retailers listed above, but if you plan on shopping at the Apple Store in the near future, a gift card could be a fine option too.
While sales start whenever a given retailer sees fit, actual Black Friday 2024 falls on November 29 this year. That said, many final Black Friday deals are already underway, as mentioned above. Use your best judgement about when is the right time to buy any item you're in the market for.
