A new animated series is on the way for the world of Pokémon, from a very famous UK animation studio. Aardman Animation Studio announced today that it's partnering with Pokémon for a stop-motion animated series, Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch'd & Pichu, arriving in 2027.
Aardamn Animation Studio is well-known for its work on stop-motion animated features, perhaps most notably the Wallace & Gromit series. With Pokémon Tales, Aardman is centering two particular Pokémon: Sirfetch'd and Pichu.
As co-founder Peter Lord said in today's Pokémon Presents showcase, the new series will take place in a region "very close" to the studio's hearts, told from the perspective of Pokémon and with Aardman's comedy chops. Given Aardman's UK background and Sirfetch'd being featured, we can easily assume Pokémon Tales will take place in the Galar region.
The short teaser we got today shows Sirfetch'd and Pichu up to some hijinks, as a Wooloo calmly enjoys the outdoors. It does seem like the comedy and tone are already in the right place.
Alongside Pokémon Tales, the second season of Pokémon Concierge got a firm release date at today's Pokémon Presents. Netflix's stop-motion animated series about an employee at a Pokémon resort won over some hearts when it first premiered, and now we're getting a follow-up on September 4.
It looks like Haru is back at work again, this time dealing with the sudden re-appearance of her ex. Chill vibes, cute Pokémon, and relatable crises seem to all be in store for Pokémon Concierge Season 2, which is now only a little over a month away.
Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch'd & Pichu, meanwhile, is aiming for a much further target in 2027.

Pokémon Legends Z-A will include a new set of Mega Pokémon, it's been confirmed.
The new Switch and Switch 2 game sees a return to Pokémon X and Y's Kalos region, and a renewed focus on the franchise's popular Mega Evolution mechanic that's taken something of a backseat in recent years.
Now, we know that Pokémon Legends will feature all-new Mega Evolved Pokémon such as Mega Dragonite.
A previous trailer confirmed the return of other, already-existing Mega Evoutions, such as Mega Kangaskhan, Mega Absol, and Mega Charizard X.
While something of a spin-off from the main series of Pokémon games, fans had expected Pokémon Legends Z-A to indeed feature new Mega Pokémon, in a similar way to Pokémon Legends: Arceus also introduced new species.
But where Arceus offered a different time period for its version of Sinnoh, now retitled Hisui, allowing it to offer now-extinct Pokémon to catch and add to the franchise's Pokédex, Legends Z-A is set in the modern day, making adding all-new entries to the Kalos region's Pokédex more difficult. Except, of course, if those entries are Mega Pokémon — additional evolution stages that don't get their own bespoke Pokédex number.

IGN can exclusively reveal Dark Horse and Absurd Ventures' American Caper, a new crime fiction comic series from the mind of Dan Houser, the co-founder of Rockstar Games and longtime head writer and creative director of the Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption series.
The first issue of American Caper will be released on November 12, 2025, and the first arc of the series will consist of 12 issues. You can check out the trailer for American Caper below.
The official description below sheds more light on the story, which is set in Verona, Washington:
"American Caper is a tale of two totally normal, completely damaged families in a world of corrupt business, inept politics, bungling crime, leisure wear, and self-righteous justice," the synopsis reads. "We follow the fortunes of two neighbors who are on the point of collapse: a Mormon hitman and a gambling addict lawyer, both intertwined in a real estate deal gone wrong. Added to the mix are a Mexican beauty queen on the run from her past, two escaped convicts in love, a Wall Street billionaire who has become a cowboy, and a maniac hell-bent on revenge.
"From the tax avoiders in the manicured wilderness of Wyoming, to the thought police of Brooklyn, to the confused political battlegrounds of Florida, one thing is certain: this tragedy is someone else’s fault."
Houser said in a statement: “American Caper is based on my lifelong fascination with hypocrites, sociopaths, political idiots, dysfunctional families, and violence. Dark, morally ambiguous, very vulgar and, we hope, funny, American Caper is a comic for the confusing world in which we live right now."
Houser won't be alone in bringing this "brutal crime fiction satire set against the backdrop of our current, hopelessly fractured, preposterous political nightmare" to life, as he will be joined by fellow Grand Theft Auto veteran Lazlow, who will be producing and contributing additional writing to American Caper.
The series will also be illustrated by Eisner Award-winning artist David Lapham (Stray Bullets, EC Epitaphs from the Abyss) with finishes by Chris Anderson (Creepshow, Lost Angels), colored by Lee Loughridge (Nemesis: Rogue’s Gallery, G.I. Joe), and lettered by Nate Piekos (Minor Threats, The Umbrella Academy: Plan B).
Issue #1, which is available for pre-order now at local comic shops for $4.99, will feature covers from Tyler Boss, Simon Bisley, Martin Simmonds, Joe Quinones, and Marguerite Savage. America Caper is edited by Shelly Bond and Daniel Chabon.
For more details about American Caper, Dark Horse Comics and Absurd Ventures will reveal more at San Diego Comic Con, with a Sunday panel and weekends signings featuring Lazlow, David Lapham, Shelly Bond, and More. The Dark Horse booth (#2615) will be hosting giveaways of American Caper ashcans, t-shirts, and more.

There's a new version of Resident Evil 2 made specifically for arcades, and an early version of it is already playable at Namco Funscape in the UK.
Resident Evil 2: Dead Shot, as this on-rails lightgun iteration is known, is the product of a collaboration between Bandai Namco and Capcom to create a fresh arcade iteration of the latter's survival horror classic.
IGN has visited Namco Funscape in Romford, north-east London, and gone hands-on with Resident Evil 2: Dead Shot ourselves — as you can see in our first footage above.
In it, we can see that Dead Shot has split Resident Evil 2's narrative into five episodes, with the first two already unlocked. It's believed that this arcade cabinet has been installed within Namco Funscape for testing, with early bugs ironed out after public play.
Dead Shot's first episode is its prologue, with a second episode titled "Hunted". Loading up the prologue, the game then introduces Resident Evil 2's setting to players: "Leon and Claire find one another on the streets of Raccoon City. Chased by zombies, they evacuate to the police department only to discover further horrors within."
As you select your episode, a zombified hand shatters through the screen, pulling you (and your co-op partner) in.
The opening section sees Leon and Claire fighting their way into the Raccoon City Police Department, past zombie cops and zombie dogs. The game's visuals appear to be based on Capcom's 2019 Resident Evil 2 Remake.
Once inside the building, the pair introduce themselves to each other before more zombie cops interrupt the party. Still, there's time for a little bit of exposition from just-about-still-alive cop Marvin Branagh, before the action continues.
As with other arcade lightgun games, you'll need to point the gun away from the screen and pull the trigger to reload. You'll automatically reload when you run out of bullets, but manual reloading is faster.
It's unclear how long Resident Evil 2: Dead Shot will remain playable at Namco Funscape, but if you're headed down in the near future look out for the neon red-lit cabinet with images of Leon, Claire and Ada Wong.
It's intriguing to see the Resident Evil series featuring Raccoon City here once again, ahead of the franchise's 30th anniversary next year, and the launch of Resident Evil: Requiem.
Capcom has teased that Requiem will see a return to the "overarching narrative" of Resident Evil begun 30 years ago, and an early trailer has already featured the reappearance of the RCPD — albeit after its later destruction in Resident Evil 3. (Fans are also certain Leon will appear, though for now, Capcom is keeping schtum.)

If you're after some additional resources in Brainrot Evolution, you've come to the right place. Below, we've assembled all of the Roblox experience's currently active and redeemable codes, so you can get your hands on crates, EXP potions, tickets, and more.
Below, you'll find all the currently active and redeemable Brainrot Evolution Codes for July.
To redeem Brainrot Revolution codes, boot up the game and, once you’re in, follow the steps below:
If your Brainrot Evolution code isn’t working, it’s likely due to one of two scenarios. The first is that the Brainrot Evolution code was input incorrectly. Check the spelling and that the case is correct, then redeem again. You can even copy and paste the codes directly from this article over to Roblox if you want to make sure you’re inputting them correctly.
The other possibility is that the code has expired or you’ve already used it. In this scenario, you should see an error message pop up below the code bar informing you that the code has already been redeemed or is invalid.
If you're on the hunt for more Brainrot Evolution codes, you'll want to search several spots. The most common place to find new codes is the game's Discord server. The team posts new codes alongside every update, and you'll be able to find them in the announcements channel. Unique codes also crop up on the i2Perfect YouTube channel and xFrozen Studios' X account, so it's always worth checking both social media pages in case new codes have dropped there.
Brainrot Evolution is incredibly similar to xFrozen Studios' other popular Roblox evolution sim, Cabybara Evolution. You start out as a lowly Brainrot minion and must fight your way to evolve, growing to inhabit more powerful forms, including Bombardiro Crocodilo, Tralalero Tralala, and Chimpanzini Bananini. All the while, you'll be able to buff your character with purchasable pets, unlock gear with loot chests and take on towering bosses to cement yourself as the ultimate life form at the top of the Brainrot hierarchy.

Despite the ongoing stock shortages throughout the Pokémon TCG community, retailers like Amazon have still been able to get stock of in-demand expansions like Destined Rivals, Black Bolt and White Flare, Paradox Rift, Temporal Forces, Surging Sparks, and Shrouded Fable.
The big caveat, however, is that while Amazon is hosting a variety of listings from different sellers, products from some sets are being sold well above their MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) due to higher marketing demand vs supply.
While this does deter standard scalpers and the coordinators of bot accounts, this has unfortunately inflated the expected prices of each set. Still, if you want to buy the latest Pokémon cards regardless of cost, here is the best of what Amazon has available for you right now.
Only released last week, the Elite Trainer Boxes for the Black Bolt & White Flare S&V expansions have been in hot demand most of all, but Amazon has listings for both ready to buy right now.
I previously found a deal on the Black Bolt ETB going for under $80, but those listings have been selling out awfully quick. For now, the White Flare ETB being sold for as low as $109.59 at the time of writing. Black Bolt Elite Trainer Boxes are still available, but the lowest is a higher $99.95.
The popular Destined Rivals expansion has also been just as elusive since launching in late May, but you can grab an ETB from Amazon for as low as $102.44 right now. That is a much higher price tag than its MSRP of $49.99, but eight-pack Booster Lots are alternatively available for $69.95, or six-pack Booster Bundles for $59.
If you just want to buy a pack or two, Destined Rivals Sleeve Boosters are available for as low as $11.89 each.
“Super Premium” is a fitting title with the minimum $93 price tag, but any Charmander fan will get a kick out of this Charizard ex Collection. The 10 included booster packs are a random selection of different sets, but will guarantee promo cards of Charizard ex, Charmleon, and Charmander, and a cool-looking Charizard card display figure.
At a still high (but not the most expensive) $94 for the cheapest Amazon listing, the Paradox Rift Elite Trainer Box will include a full-art foil promo card of Roaring Moon or Iron Valiant, along with nine Paradox Rift booster packs and all the usual bonus Pokémon TCG accessories
Supposedly in more demand due to being a newer set compared to Paradox Rift, Amazon is selling the Twilight Masquerade Elite Trainer Boxes for $104.50 at the lowest. Along with the usual nine boosters respective to its set, the bonus full-art Pokémon card you’ll get this time is Teal Mask Ogerpon.
Another mixture of different sets from $54.98, Cynthia’s Garchomp ex Premium Collection features a three-card trio; Cynthia’s Garchomp ex, Cynthia’s Gabite, and Cynthia’s Gible; along with six booster packs. The packs are an interesting assortment of three boosters of Paradox Rift, one of Journey Together, and two from Destined Rivals.
Feeling slightly cheaper by comparison to Destined Rivals’ equivalent bundle, the six-pack Journey Together Booster Bundle has actually gone down in price to $44.90 from $59.99.
From $52.88, this second Charizard-based collection boasts its own full-art Charizard ex promo card, two more foil cards of Charmeleon and Charmander, and five TCG booster packs.
For those who want to bolster their Destined Rivals decks, this slightly cheaper set included Team Rocket’s Mewtwo (plus an oversized version), along with Team Rocket’s Meowth and Team Rocket’s Giovanni and bonus foil cards.
As for packs, you’ll get four boosters. At least two packs of Destined Rivals are shown in the product pictures, but we believe the actual variety to be randomised.
For $39.89, the Paldea Legends Tin on Amazon will give you a random tin between those containing either Koraidon ex or Miraidon ex as a foil promo card. Then, alongside the code card for Pokemon TCG Live, like most of the other products on this list, you’ll get five booster packs.
You’ll get one of several random designs for the Stacking Tins as well, but for a cheaper $26.32. You only get three TCG booster packs, but also two Pokémon sticker sheets.
Another Pokemon card restock with a sticker sheet, buying a Shrouded Fable Mini Tin guarantees you two Shrouded Fable booster packs, alongside a Pokemon art card showcasing each tin’s illustration.
Usually going for around $16, Amazon has Temporal Forces Boosters going for as little as $9.89 each at the time of writing. Each packs gives you 10 from its overall 218-card set.
Also still in demand since releasing in late 2024, Amazon has sleeved Surging Sparks Boosters to grab for $9.99 each. These also contain Pokémon 10 cards per pack from its 252-card set.

The new Monster Hunter Wilds update is almost here. From tomorrow, July 23, the Festival of Accord: Flamefete seasonal event kicks off, ushering in new quests and cosmetic gear, as well as special equipment earned from "event-exclusive login bonuses and event quests." It runs for two weeks.
The "majestically decorated" Grand Hub is all set for summer, as is your feathery friend, courtesy of the new Firebird Caparison Seikret Decoration. There's also special forgeable equipment up for grabs — use the tickets you earn throughout the event — as well as complimentary vouchers that can be used at the canteen.
Tickets can also be used to forge the Afi α armor set and Felyne Afi α Palico equipment. Equipping it will help you unlock even more bonus event rewards, such as additional tickets and Beach Barrel Bombs. You can also expect to see a new nameplate, background, and pose for your hunter profile, plus a tent customization item and camp gear options.
"You can have Alma try on the Summer Poncho outfit, Gemma try on the Summer Coveralls outfit, and Erik try on the Summer Hat outfit during the event!" Capcom teases. Oh, and did I mention the water gun? Yes. There's a water gun.
The Flamefete DLC pack includes summer-themed outfits, a special pendant, gesture, sticker set, and seikret decoration, all of which will be available at the store once the event goes live.

Earlier this month, Capcom said it had received requests to make time-limited Arch-tempered monsters permanently available to hunt, so it did, making the fights with Arch-tempered Rey Dau and Uth Duna permanent. They both arrive in Monster Hunter Wilds for a permanent stay on July 23.
Capcom has been gradually working to address feedback and issues players have with Monster Hunter Wilds, even as it's reportedly received harassment over the latest entry in the Monster Hunter series. This seems like a solid change, and a sign the team is listening, even as it continues to roll out pretty big additions like the new battle with Lagiacrus.

Saber Interactive, the video game company behind Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, has announced a brand new Hellraiser game alongside a trailer that’s not for the faint of heart.
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is a story-driven, single-player survival horror action game set in the Hellraiser universe. It's developed by Boss Team Games, creator of the recently delisted Evil Dead: The Game, and is due out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC via Steam.
Hellraiser, for the uninitiated, is a cult classic horror franchise made up of 11 films and various comic books, all based on The Hellbound Heart novella by English author Clive Barker. The star of the show is Pinhead, a ‘Cenobite’ who harvests human souls to torture in sadistic experiments. And you can see that in action in the trailer, which — content warning! — contains as much sex as it does body horror.
The trailer is certainly in keeping with the look and feel of Barker's original Hellraiser movie, which began life in the late 80s. We see one character use the franchise's infamous puzzle box, the Lament Configuration, to open a gateway to hell, and the Cenobites made famous by the movies walk through to do their thing. In a move sure to delight fans, actor Doug Bradley returns to the role of Pinhead for the first time in nearly two decades.
Barker is also involved in this new Hellraiser video game, helping out with the story. "Working on the first true Hellraiser game has been a venture deep into the recesses of my darkest imaginings,” he commented.
“The dedication that Saber and Boss Team Games have shown is nothing short of remarkable. They’ve immersed themselves in the Hellraiser universe, capturing its essence — the seductive pull of suffering, the beauty within the grotesque — and forged a narrative that invites players to step beyond the threshold. I’m eager for both the curious and the damned to experience this new chapter in the Hellraiser mythos, where every moment balances on the brink of nightmare and revelation.”
Here’s the official blurb:
Discover the tale of Aidan, who must unlock the dark powers of the Genesis Configuration, a mysterious puzzle box, to help his girlfriend from a hellish abyss. As Aidan, you’ll harness the box’s infernal abilities to survive your pact with the sinister Pinhead and battle against the twisted cult that worships him and the Cenobites. Fail, and your suffering will be legendary, even in Hell.
There’s talk of harnessing the abilities of the Genesis Configuration in combination with “earthly” weapons to “inflict bone-breaking, flesh-searing pain (or pleasure?) upon your enemies.” You fight hell's wretches, deviants, cultists, and priests.
Hellraiser was thrust back into the public consciousness in 2022 with a franchise reboot film. IGN’s Hellraiser review returned an 8/10. We said: “Hellraiser is a reinvigorated reboot that gets the blood pumping, starting with Jamie Clayton’s worthy Pinhead performance that sets a fresh tone with immense reverence paid to Clive Barker's works.”

The Pokémon Trading Card Game shows no signs of slowing down in 2025. Whether you're a competitive player, a casual collector, or someone who's just dropped way too much money on framed booster art, this year's TCG lineup is going all in with new mechanics, nostalgic reprints, and plenty of chances to chase that cardboard high.
Amazon has quietly become one of the best places to pick up Pokémon TCG products this week, with a surprise restock that brings several popular Elite Trainer Boxes closer to MSRP than we’ve seen in months.
The best deal right now is the Black Bolt Elite Trainer Box at just $78.75. Throw in the Paradox Rift ETB for under $78 and a handful of affordable premium collections like Cynthia’s Garchomp ex and Charizard ex.
Just when you thought the Pokémon TCG had enough going on with Destined Rivals and Black Bolt and White Flare, in comes a brand new series altogether with the Mega Evolution sets.
Announced at Japan's Championship tournament, the two new sets featuring Mega Lucario ex and Mega Gardevoir ex mark the popular trading card game stepping away from its Scarlet and Violet era.
It will release on August 1, 2025, in Japan, and September 26 in English markets (with more preorders also supposedly taking place on September 13).
It’s already shaping up to be a huge year, so here’s everything from the rest of the Pokémon TCG releases in 2025. And yes, IGN will be tracking all the preorder and buy links, both here and on socials at @IGNDeals.
Scarlet & Violet: Black Bolt and White Flare are now available. We recently previewed the new sets that brought 156 Unova Illustration cards to Pokémon TCG, and it's pretty good!
If you haven't secured your boosters for Black Bolt and White Flare sealed products, feel free to try your luck at launch at your local brick and mortar or online, or even at Amazon right now.
Alternatively, TCGPlayer pricing for presale sealed product is crashing, so I reckon we're seeing the usual price crash post-launch coming earlier.
What do I think of the set? I think it's great and possibly the best opportunity to pull Illustration Rares in the Scarlet and Violet era, it's ending on a high note.
Personally I'm not a fan of stuffing the set with Pokéball and Masterball rares, but in terms of quality and presentation they look cool. It would be grand to see Mega Evolution double down on the dual format and loads of Illustration Rares, but this is an encouraging sneek peek into what's next for Pokémon TCG.
Black Bolt and White Flare focus on the 156 Pokémon originally discovered in the Unova region. Each Unova Pokémon will appear as either an illustration rare or a special illustration rare card, with different versions available in Black Bolt and White Flare products.
Things really kicked off on May 30 with Destined Rivals. This set brings back Trainer’s Pokémon, reintroduces Team Rocket for another round of villainous fun, and includes some of the best card art we’ve seen in ages.
Destined Rivals top chase card prices are also finally stabilizing, making it a great time to snap some up. Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex SIR has been going for anything over $450 since release, but is starting to settle on a more respectable $370.
A few weeks ago the Destined Rivals singles market was bouncing all over the place. Some cards were doubling in price overnight and it was tough to tell what was hype and what would hold. Now prices feel a lot more stable.
Some have dipped. Some Destined Rivals bangers are just cruising right at market. It feels like we’re finally seeing what these cards are actually worth.
Above are the ten most expensive cards in the set right now. A couple of them are legit strong in decks. A few are pure collector bait. Team Rocket's Mewtwo ex was the hottest card in the set for a while and it’s still holding close to market. The artwork is what does it for me.
Mewtwo looks like it's about to explode, floating in this dim lab setting with everything glowing around it. The ability makes it tough to use unless you’re running a full Rocket build, but once it's active, Erasure Ball gives you some serious power. Definitely still a top-tier pull even with the market calming down.
It’s about time we got a set like this. Bringing back nostalgic Trainer’s Pokémon cards from the Gym Heroes era. N’s Zoroark ex and Lillie’s Clefairy ex end the chaos of endless secret arts for a more curated, collectible experience.
With just 16 Pokémon ex, 11 illustration rares, and three hyper rare gold cards, it’s easier to track what’s worth pulling without feeling like you need a PhD in pack odds.
Fancy snagging the Enhanced Booster Display Box with its bonus N’s Reshiram illustration rare or pull Iono’s Bellibolt ex? This set screams nostalgia with a new coat of paint.
If you’re into collecting, this set hits the sweet spot. It’s got 16 Pokémon ex, six unique illustrations rares, and just three hyper rare gold cards, which means you won’t have to mortgage your house chasing every rarity. And the artwork? Illustrating rares like N’s Zoroark ex will look incredible in your binder.
Pokémon Center’s Enhanced Booster Display Box is the one to grab for preorder exclusives. It comes with a bonus N’s Reshiram illustration rare card—a little extra flex for your collection.
The Scarlet & Violet—Journey Together expansion is a nod to fans who've been in it for a long time. Remember Gym Heroes?
This set revives the much-loved Trainer's Pokémon cards, spotlighting the bond between iconic Trainers and their Pokémon.
Cards like N's Zoroark ex, Hop's Zacian ex, and Iono's Bellibolt ex aren't just cool to look at; they call back to the late '90s and early '00s Pokémania. We're all for that here.
What's even better? This expansion ditches the overload of secret rares that made recent sets feel overwhelming.
Instead, Journey Together keeps things tight, making tracking what you want to pull easier. Whether it's an illustration rare, a special art card, or one of those hyper-rare gold beauties, you can finally open packs without feeling like you need a flowchart to figure out what's in the set.
Prismatic Evolutions, kicked off 2025, and it’s all about Eevee and its many evolutions. This set is doing things differently, which is probably why stock sells out as soon as it comes in.
This is another 151 situation, but there's plenty of stock refeshes coming throughout 2025. You won’t find these cards in the usual booster packs.
Instead, they’ll be released in boxed sets throughout the year, each packed full of exclusive cards celebrating Eevee and friends. With over 175 cards, including unique designs and new game mechanics, Prismatic Evolutions is shaping to be a hit with collectors and competitive players alike.
For collectors, Prismatic Evolutions isn’t short on treasures. Each Eevee evolution has its special illustration and hyper-rare gold Pokémon ex card, making them must-haves for anyone building a showcase-worthy collection.
The set includes 32 illustration rares featuring detailed artwork for Pokémon ex and Supporter cards, so plenty of eye candy is here. With so many unique finishes and designs, it’s bound to make a few waves among fans.
Between the fresh artwork, inventive mechanics, and the undeniable charm of Eevee and friends, Prismatic Evolutions is set to be one of the year’s standout sets. Collectors and players alike will find something to love here, from stunning illustration rares to powerful new game cards that can make a real difference in play.
This set brings some new gameplay tricks and visually striking designs. The big attraction is the debut of Stellar Tera Pokémon ex cards, which showcase Eevee and each of its evolutions with Terastal-inspired art.
These aren’t just nice to look at—they come with moves that need multiple energy types to activate, encouraging players to build balanced, flexible decks. And for the first time, Eevee’s ex card can evolve into other ex forms, giving trainers even more options to play with.
Collectors will appreciate some cool new reverse holo designs featuring Poké Ball and Master Ball patterns that pop on any card. And if you’re into rare cards, six ACE SPEC Trainer cards are in the set, limited to one per deck.
Each one packs a serious punch in gameplay—like the MAX Rod ACE SPEC card, which lets players retrieve up to five Pokémon or Energy cards from their discard pile. On top of that, Prismatic Evolutions features a mix of ultra-rare illustration cards, gold-edged rares, and special art that takes these cards to another level.
Released on November 8, 2024, Surging Sparks was last Pokémon TCG Scarlet & Violet series main expansion for 2024.
Adapted from the Japanese sets Supercharged Breaker and Paradise Dragona, this expansion combines the raw power of electric Pokémon with the majestic strength of Dragon-types like Alolan Exeggutor ex and Latias ex.
With over 250 cards, including new ACE SPEC cards and Stellar Tera ex Pokémon, Surging Sparks has exciting new additions that will shake up the competitive scene and include some epic chase cards for collectors.
Beyond the headlining Pikachu ex, Surging Sparks offers a diverse range of powerful cards, including nine regular ex Tera Pokémon, 23 illustration rares, and six golden secret rares, making it a must-have for any serious Pokémon TCG fan.
Stellar Crown is set to launch on September 13, 2024, as the seventh main expansion in the Scarlet & Violet series. This highly anticipated set introduces the Legendary Pokémon Terapagos and a new wave of Stellar-type Tera Pokémon. With over 170 cards, including over a dozen new Pokémon ex and a variety of Trainer and ACE SPEC cards, Stellar Crown is packed with powerful new mechanics and stunning artwork.
Fans can look forward to the first English appearances of Illustration Rare cards for classics like Squirtle and Bulbasaur, alongside chase cards like Special Illustration Rare versions of Hydrapple ex, Galvantual ex, and Terapagos ex. This set also introduces innovative strategies with cards like Briar, Sparkling Crystal, and the ACE SPEC Stadium card Great Tree, which could revolutionize Tera-focused decks.
Shrouded Fable brings Pokémon from the Mochi Mayhem mission to the TCG. This set features woodcut-style illustration rares and introduces new ex-cards for Pecharunt and The Loyal Three. With unique cards and showcase collections, Shrouded Fable promises to be a visually stunning and strategically rich set.
Twilight Masquerade is inspired by the Teal Mask DLC from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This set features four different Ogerpon ex cards, each with unique types and abilities based on the mask it wears. New Ace Spec cards are also introduced, adding strategic depth to the game.
Stay tuned for more exciting Pokémon TCG releases throughout 2024. With each set bringing unique themes and mechanics, there's something for every fan to enjoy. While waiting, why not check out today's best Pokémon TCG deals? That's right, we're that awesome!
Paldean Fates released in three waves, offering a unique approach with no individual booster packs. Instead, products like the Elite Trainer Box and Premium Collections provided a variety of boosters and exclusive cards. After years of pre-production work and "three or four" different versions of the film being considered, Marvel has finally nailed down the fact its long-awaited Blade reboot will be set in the modern day.
First announced back in 2019 and once set to begin filming in 2022, the Mahershala Ali-starring movie has struggled to get off the ground within Marvel over the past few years.
Now, Marvel boss Kevin Feige has shed light on what has held up the project, the truth about all those historical costumes Marvel gave to Ryan Coogler for use on Sinners, and offered confirmation there was a path forward for its long-gestating vampire Blade project still.
Speaking to Variety, Feige explained Blade's continuing delays as a result of the film's expected quality not being good enough.
"We didn't want to simply just put a leather outfit on him and have him start killing vampires. It had to be unique," Feige said of Ali's take on the character. "It fell into the time when we started pulling back and saying, 'Only accept insanely great.' And it wasn't 'insanely great' at the time."
Here, Feige is referencing Marvel's more recent decision to cut back on its output after admitting that, post-Avengers Endgame, it had suffered from focusing too much on quantity over quality.
"We didn't feel like, as we often do, you can have a good script and make it a great script through production," Feige continued. "We didn't feel confident that we could do that on Blade, and we didn't want to do that to Mahershala and didn't want to do that to us."
Marvel continued to try and develop the project, running through "three or four" iterations of a story, two of which were period pieces. At least one of these we know was due to be set around the 1920s, as production got so close to beginning there was a warehouse of costumes made — that then were left surplus to requirements.
Earlier this month, Sinners producer Sev Ohanian made the surprising revelation that these costumes were then worn on Sinners instead — something aided by the fact that costume designer Ruth Carter worked on both projects.
"She happened to have a warehouse full of period-appropriate clothes, and it was like, 'Yo, we got to shoot this movie like tomorrow.' And Marvel was generous enough and kind enough to let us basically purchase it at price," Ohanian said.
Now, Feige has not only confirmed that this sale happened, but that it was a result of Marvel's renewed focus on developing Blade as a modern day-set story instead.
"We've landed on modern day," Feige said. "Which is why we could give those costumes back to Ruth, and that's what we're focusing on."
All of that said, Blade's arrival still seems some way off. The next few years will see Marvel heads down on getting Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars out the door, as well as Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
And speaking of the Avengers films, with numerous other old faces returning, could we see another reappearance of Wesley Snipes' classic version of Blade, last seen in Deadpool & Wolverine? And could Feige's recent comments about Secret Wars acting as a "reset" for the franchise be Marvel's way of introducing Mahershala Ali's Blade, in the same way the studio has now said it will recast the X-Men?

Magic: The Gathering feels like it's everywhere at the moment, and while at the time of writing we're deep into Universes Beyond: Final Fantasy, we're just days from Edge of Eternities arriving to whisk us away to new planets and star systems.
That doesn't factor in Secret Lair, either, with Wizards of the Coast running near-constant drops of limited edition cards and sets with new artwork that range from Sonic to Spongebob. Here's everything from 2025 so far, including the items that are still in stock.
Sure, we're getting a smidge ahead of ourselves here, but there are three Sonic The Hedgehog x Secret Lair drops that arrived on July 14.
We've got the full lowdown, but the short (and spiky) version is that the drops will be divided into Sonic: Friends & Foes, Sonic: Chasing Adventure, and Sonic: Turbo Gear. Here's what each includes, with the original Magic card in brackets where appropriate.
Friends & Foes:
Chasing Adventure:
Turbo Gear
With each Secret Lair drop being particularly limited in its availability, your best bet is naturally to look on the secondhand market.
While some can be found at Amazon and other generalist stores, these don’t have the same level of quality assurance as specialist retailers like TCGPlayer, Card Kingdom, Magic Madhouse, and others.
So what's been popular in 2025 besides Final Fantasy? As things stand, the most notable heavy-hitters from this year so far include Deadpool, Spongebob, and our furry friends. Here's where you can still buy the sets at market price.
There’s also a good chance you may need to buy cards individually, rather than in predetermined Secret Lair sets, so consider picking them up piecemeal if the opportunity presents itself.
If you’re lucky enough to have a local game store that’s offering a large collection of Magic: The Gathering singles, it’s worth taking a look—you might end up finding a Secret Lair card lurking in a binder or loose in a box somewhere (perish the thought!).
We’ve got the full list below for every Secret Lair drop already released in 2025, alongside the best places to buy each set, or even the individual cards. Let’s dig in.
Animar and Friends - February 3
This five-card set includes art from Jack Teagle for Mulldrifter, All Will Be One, Benevolent Hydra, Forgotten Ancient and Animar, Soul of Elements.

Spongebob: Squarepants - March 24
With Spongebob and pals taking cardboard forms, collectors can grab 7 individual pieces, including Plankton, Mr. Krabs, Squidward, and, of course, Patrick Star and Spongebob SquarePants himself as part of the Legends of Bikini Bottom set.
There’s also a Lands bundle for the Nickelodeon favorite, and a meme-focused set of spells, too.
Twisted Toons - March 24
A little Spongebob-adjacent, these full-art, Toon-inspired cards give us Cuphead vibes.
Tragic Romance - March 24
Following a ‘Romantasy’ theme, these cards include Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon, Master of Cruelties, Angel of Despair and Kaalia of the Vast.

This Dragon-centric drop has five cards, each with two versions of Dragonlords like Atarka and Dromoka. Both versions are the same card, but with a young and mature version of each dragon.

This intriguing set is still in stock, and offers cards and accompanying stickers for players to customise them with. Clever Impersonator, Hedron Crab, Pitiless Plunderer, a Treasure Token and Thalia, Heretic Cathar are included.
Garden Buds - March 24

Oishi! Tokens - March 26
Inspired by Japanese food packaging, this set includes four Food Tokens, and is sold out.

This set of Land cards includes two of each basic land type for a total of 10 in the set, and is inspired by the independent radio station KEXP.
Secret Lair X KEXP: You Are Not Alone - April 28
Another KEXP collab, this one has a series of colorful card varients that lean into a “group-hug” deck theme. Cultural Exchange, Folio of Fancies, Concordant Crossroads, Rites of Flourishing and Font of Mythos are included.
Everyone’s Invited! - May 12
This double rainbow foil Secret Lair drop is still available (for $200, we might add) and includes Shapeshifters, Dryads, Elementals, Faeries, Slivers, Cats and more. Ten foil cards, four foil tokens, one foil display card and 90 reprints.
Slay the Day - May 19
The latest set at the time of writing includes Marwyn, the Nurturer as well as Liesa, Shroud of Dusk, Oloro, Ageless Ascetic, and Slythis, Harvest’s Hand.
Final Fantasy - June 9
Magic: The Gathering x Final Fantasy has finally launched, and while there are boosters, Commander decks, and even a new Starter Kit to pick up (if you can find it in stock), collectors will perhaps be most interested in the new Secret Lair x Final Fantasy drops.
It’s been a busy year for Wizards of the Coast’s limited-time mini-sets, and while the company sold out of all three Final Fantasy drops in record time (leaving many disappointed), you can still get them via third-party sellers... if you're willing to pay the inflated costs, that is.
Before we start, it’s worth pointing out that you won’t find Secret Lair drops at the same price as you’d find them directly from Wizards of the Coast (standard $30 nonfoil, $40 rainbow foil), with most being listed anywhere between $80-$150 or above.
This is a huge markup, so if you're looking to buy, be sure you're 100% informed of what you're paying for. You can buy them from eBay, but we’ve always found TCGPlayer, while still eBay-owned, to be the most secure and trustworthy way to nab Secret Lair drops post-release.
There are a trio of Final Fantasy Secret Lair sets, Weapons, Grimoire, and Game Over, each offering unique art and names for Magic: The Gathering cards. Everything is available in standard and foil, alongside the Japanese variants as well.
Here’s how you can grab each, what’s included, and all the key info you need to help you decide whether you still want these to add to your collection via third party seller listings selling at a premium.
Secret Lair is a limited-time drop of cards that are usually offered as bundles for a day or two at the most before they sell out.
They’ve had some wild theming in the past, but with Magic: The Gathering channelling its inner Fortnite, the crossovers are becoming more and more frequent (in fact, Fortnite has had its own Secret Lair set because, of course, it has).
The cards have new artwork, but are based on existing cards in terms of gameplay functionality, so you can expect to use them in competitive play, so long as the original card is still in the standard rotation.
As of the debut of Final Fantasy’s Universes Beyond set, that list of Standard rotation sets runs until Brother’s War.

If you’ve been looking to pick up a Nintendo Switch 2 in recent weeks but found stock limited, or you’ve been caught up in the (very justified) Donkey Kong: Bananza hype, then there’s good news.
Not only is the console back in stock at Target, but the retailer also has the Mario Kart World bundle, with both options being offered at MSRP and with delivery available for this week.
Switch 2 had been easier to find than we anticipated ahead of launch, but the console has seemingly gained in popularity as word of mouth spread.
That makes a restock at Target worth covering, especially since you could order now and be playing the console within 48 hours with delivery.
If you’ve not been keeping up with things, the Switch 2 is a great console that improves just about everything from the 2017 original. It’s still a hybrid system, but now hits 1080p when playing portably on a larger display (although it’s not OLED), with 4K output when docked.
The included Joy-Con controllers are much more comfortable and now connect magnetically, while there’s a handy USB-C connection on the top for adding peripherals like the new camera, which can be used for GameChat.
As for Mario Kart World, our reviewer Logan Plant awarded it an 8 out of 10.
“Mario Kart World may not make the most convincing case that going open-world was the boost the series needed, but excellent multiplayer racing, incredible polish, and the thrilling new Knockout Tour mode still more than live up to its legacy,” he said.
Just in case you miss out on the Target restock, it's worth noting that listings for the Nintendo Switch 2 and the Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle at Amazon now include a "Request Invite" button, signaling a soft rollout for direct purchases.
And according to IGN's own data, Amazon has already begun sending out invites to buy daily.
That means the system is live, stock is moving, and your shot at securing the new console could be just a few clicks away.
If you want to avoid eBay scalpers or third-party markups, now’s the time to visit the listings and request an invite.

The voice actors who have stepped up to voice Mario Kart World's Toad and Peach have broken their silence after Samantha Kelly was unexpectedly replaced after 18 years.
Voice actor Samantha Kelly discovered her 18-year tenure as Super Mario characters Princess Peach and Toad was over on Nintendo Switch 2 launch day — when Mario Kart World released without her in it. She had featured as Peach and Toad in more than 70 games for Nintendo DS, 3DS, Wii, Wii U, and Switch since Mario Strikers Charged released in 2007.
Now, as spotted by Eurogamer, Paul Castro Jr. and Courtney Lin — who lend their voices to Toad and Peach, respectively — have each posted to their X/Twitter accounts to confirm their new roles.
"I can finally share who I voice in Mario Kart World... TOAD!(s)," Castro wrote. "Male Toads you hear throughout your travels in Mario Kart World are voiced by me! Been playing on my trips and it's so much darn fun. Can't thank Nintendo enough for letting me live out this childhood dream."
Lin wrote: "I can finally say… I’m the voice of Princess Peach and Baby Peach in Mario Kart World! Eternally grateful for Nintendo, for trusting me to help carry the legacy of this icon."
"These characters are so much bigger than ourselves. I am so honored and honestly can still hardly believe it. I have so much respect for all of the Peaches that came before me, especially the one I grew up with. I will do my best with every opportunity I am given, and I hope you all have been enjoying the game. Wahooo!! Sweet."
Nintendo has become increasingly strict when it comes to sharing information found in the credits of its video games ahead of time — to the extent that it frequently refuses to acknowledge the developer of its games before their release.
In similar news, we recently learned that Takashi Nagasako, who previously voiced Donkey Kong for 21 years, was no longer credited for the character as of Mario Kart World, either. Kouji Takeda is instead credited as Donkey Kong in all of the game's various language options, including Bananza. Takeda previously voiced Donkey Kong in the Japanese dub of the Super Mario Bros. Movie and now appears to have taken over as the video game voice of Donkey Kong as well.
The changes in Nintendo's hitherto consistent voice casting come after the retirement of Charles Martinet as the voice of Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi after almost 30 years.

Looking to bolster your DC Worlds Collide squad with a few more heroes? You've come to the right place. Below, we've assembled a list of all of the active codes available in the free-to-play superhero autobattler, so you can get your hands on some powerful new heroes and villains to help vanquish any threats that stand in your path.
Below, you'll find all of the current and active codes for DC Worlds Collide as of July 2025.
(Note that the redeem codes feature in DC Worlds Collide seems to not register copy and pasted codes. If pasting your code returns an error message, try typing it manually).
If you're looking to redeem a code in DC Worlds Collide, follow the steps below:
If your DC Worlds Collide code isn’t working, it’s likely due to one of three scenarios. The first is that the code was input incorrectly. Check the spelling and that the case is correct, then redeem again.
The second is that you copied and pasted the code. DC Worlds Collide seems to register copied and pasted codes as being invalid, so try typing out the code manually and then redeeming it.
The final possibility is that the code has expired or you’ve already used it. In this scenario, you should see an error message pop up informing you that the code has already been redeemed or is invalid.
As of right now, DC Worlds Collide is still relatively new, and so it's unclear where the best spot to search for codes will be going forward. But if you want the best chance, check out the game's official Discord server, X account, Facebook Profile, and website. You can also bookmark this page, as we'll be searching daily to make sure our list of active codes is up to date with the latest drops.

The Dark Knight and LEGO are the sort of odd couple pairing that shouldn't work on paper, but are brilliant in practice. The moodiness and psychological torment of the source material, and the blocky medium through which it's translated, creates a humorous juxtapostion. The Joker, terrifying though he is, looks adorable as a LEGO Minifigure.
LEGO Batman sets tend to cycle very quickly, from the time that they're launched to the time they're retired. The designers have a near endless well of Batman media to draw from – from comic books, to TV shows, to Hollywood blockbusters.
One of their most recent designs, inspired by the 1966 classic television show starring Adam West, is an 1822-piece homage to the show's Batmobile.
LEGO retired the bulk of its Batman sets, including the Batcave Shadow Box, at the end of 2024. Here are the best LEGO Batman sets that you can buy in 2025.
For people who prefer their Batman funny rather than brooding, LEGO recreaed the Batmobile from the 1966 Adam West-led TV series. If you open the trunk, you'll find Batman's trusty Bat-Computer. And of course, it also comes with minifigure of Batman, clad in his signature gray throwback costume.
Based on Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, this set pays homage to Batman's tank-like tumbler. The tumbler is scaled to minifigure size, allowing Batman to sit comfortably inside. The set also comes with a Bat Signal and two villain minifigures: one of Aaron Eckhart's Two-Face, and the other of Heath Ledger's Joker, complete with a Glasgow smile.
This set is inspired by Batman: The Animated Series, which aired on the FOX Kids cartoon block from 1992-1995. It's a 3D Art Deco relief portrait of the Gotham City skyline, complete with its iconic red sky.
When you open up the buildings, you can find numerous Easter Eggs and references to famous episodes and noteworthy locations in the show's universe. It comes with four Minifigures: Batman, Catwoman, Joker, and Harley Quinn, who made her debut in the series. Check out our "We Build" feature on putting this set together.
Inspired by The Dark Knight (2008), this sturdy, chunky set is two separate builds: a Bat-Pod Bike with triggered stud shooters, and an articulable Batman figure with a cowl and a cape.
As of July 2025, 10 LEGO Batman sets are available for purchase on the official LEGO store.
LEGO has recognized and paid homage to every iteration of Batman – from the Adam West television series to the Pattinson-led films beginning in 2022. So no matter your age, or which Caped Crusader is your childhood hero, you can buy a set that will tickle your nostalgia and fandom.
