The Game Awards 2026 Sets December Premiere Date as Fans Expect Big Things from the New Year

2 février 2026 à 19:56

Geoff Keighley has already set Thursday, December 10, as the date for The Game Awards 2026.

The show’s creator and host announced the “save the date” news in a post on social media today. It’s early confirmation for this year’s show, securing its spot at Peacock Theater in Los Angeles nine months before viewers tune into what Keighley has previously referred to as “gaming’s biggest night.”

Gaming fans often spend the months leading up to the award show predicting which titles will take home awards for major categories like Game of the Year, Best Narrative, Best Game Direction, and Best Performance. At just one month into 2026, you’d think there would be no reasonable predictions as far as the winners (and losers) go for this year’s Game Awards, but fans already have one game on their minds: Grand Theft Auto 6.

Rockstar Games has a history of big wins at shows like these (Red Dead Redemption 2 had the most awards at The Game Awards 2018), so the long-in-development sixth mainline GTA game is on everyone’s radar. Other highly anticipated titles, like Resident Evil Requiem, Saros, Fable, and Control Resonant have some expecting steep competition, especially when it comes to the Game of the Year award, but there are a few other issues to consider, too.

Like any other industry award show, The Game Awards has a cutoff date a few weeks before the event itself, keeping some games from being competing despite being released in the year the show is held. For The Game Awards 2025, the cutoff date was November 21, 2025, at 9 p.m. PT / 12 a.m. ET. GTA 6 has a release date of November 19, 2026 – and that’s if it can dodge yet another delay. Meanwhile, with so much time left in the year, there’s a high likelihood at some of the year’s best game may not have even been announced yet.

— GTA 6 Countdown ⏳ (@GTAVI_Countdown) February 2, 2026

Today’s announcement arrives less than two months after Keighley hosted The Game Awards 2025 on December 11. The show brought a number of bombshell announcements and reveals, including Divinity, a first look at Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil Requiem, two Tomb Raider games, footage from The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and more. The one-last-thing reveal of the night was a first look at Highguard.

While we wait to see what surprises Keighley will eventually have up his sleeves for The Game Awards 2026, you can see IGN’s list of the biggest games coming in 2026. You can also check out our breakdown of the projects we think are most likely to walk away with the Game of the Year prize, as well as our pick for the best game of 2025.

The Zootopia 2 4K Steelbook Is Now Up for Preorder at Amazon

2 février 2026 à 19:30

Zootopia 2 became one of the highest grossing animated movies of all time last year, behind only China's Ne Zha 2 in 2025. The Disney film was made available on digital platforms just last week after its record-breaking box office run and the official Blu-ray release date was announced for March 3, 2026.

Preorders for the physical release of Disney's hit sequel are finally dropping online. The limited-edition 4K steelbook for collectors is available right now, but there's still no sign of the Blu-ray or DVD versions just yet. The steelbook is currently priced at $44.99, which is almost twice as much as it costs to rent the film digitally.

The Zootopia 2 4K Steelbook Is Available at Amazon

The Zootopia 2 Steelbook comes with both the 4K and Blu-ray discs as well as loads of bonus features. The main draw of this edition of the film is the steelbook itself, but it's also currently the only 4K or Blu-ray option available to buy. There will be a standard 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release of this movie later on, but for now you can only preorder this one. Like all preorders on Amazon, this steelbook includes Amazon's preorder price guarantee if you buy now. That means that even though the price is currently at $44.99, you'll likely pay a little bit less than that if the price drops any time between now and its release date.

The Zootopia 2 Steelbook also comes with a variety of bonus features and deleted scenes. Here's all of the extras you get with the physical release:

Bonus Features and Deleted Scenes

  • Featurettes:
    • The Zookeepers — Trot along with writer/director Jared Bush and director Byron Howard for a tour of Walt Disney Animation Studios! Get a behind the scenes look as they open up the doors to meet cast and crew and share about all the work done to bring the movie to life.
    • A City of Stars — Meet the fur-tastic voice actors behind the cast of Zootopia 2 as filmmakers share the joy of having the original cast returning and how each new role found its purr-fect match.
    • Everybody Can Draw! — Sketch along with Benson Shum, Animation Supervisor, as he talks about his role on Zootopia 2 and guides viewers in drawing everyone's favorite new beaver, Nibbles!

    • Wilde Times in the Booth — Hop inside the recording booth for plenty of laughs and behind-the-scenes fun. See how the hilarious cast brings their characters to life!

The Best Books of 2025 That You Might Have Missed – Here’s What To Read Next

2 février 2026 à 19:30

2025 saw the release of so many incredible books, and I’ve already shared my roundup of the best books of 2025 so far, which included the likes of The Hunger Games prequel, Sunrise On The Reaping, Emily Henry’s latest release, Great Big Beautiful Life, and many more.

But, as we move into 2026, I’m taking a look back at some of the other best books of 2025 that you might have missed. And I’ve included all the major genres to hopefully pique your interest - and, of course, add a few more books to your shelves this year.

If you’re looking for more reading inspiration or you’ve challenged yourself to read a certain number of books, you’ll also find my recommendations of the best books of each month of 2025 (starting with January) - and I’ll be continuing to do so in 2026 to make sure you’re kept in the loop.

Until then, here are the best books of 2025.

Heart the Lover by Lily King (Contemporary Fiction)

Beginning with a college-age love triangle that jumps forward decades later, Heart the Lover follows the lives of our narrator–dubbed Jordan, a moniker inspired by the character of the same name from The Great Gatsby–as well as Sam and Yash. All we can say is, get the tissues at the ready for the second half of this story.

After finding herself drawn back into Sam and Yash’s orbit years later, we see the trio navigate love, friendship, ambition, grief, loss, and forgiveness. It definitely has a similar feel and vibe to Gabrielle Zevin’s Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, if you enjoyed that book, too.

Coffin Moon by Keith Rosson (Horror)

We put together an entire list of the best 2025 horror books back in October, but another one you won’t want to miss is Coffin Moon by Keith Rosson. Set in the 1970s, the story follows Duane, who has just returned home from a tour in Vietnam, and is dealing with the aftermath while resettling back into his previous life, if that even exists anymore. And things only get worse when he crosses paths with a vampire.

Soon, Duane and his adopted niece find themselves driven by vengeance and revenge after the vampire kills Duane’s wife, with them hunting and being hunted by the seemingly immortal being.

The Raven Scholar by Antonia Hodgson (Fantasy)

Combining epic fantasy and a brilliant murder mystery, all in a dark academia setting, it’s easy to see why readers weren’t able to get enough of The Raven Scholar last year. And this first tale sets things up for what looks to be an incredible trilogy.

With the long-standing emperor set to step down, the competition for his replacement begins. However, when one of the options is murdered, it falls to Neema to find out who is responsible and why. It’s a task that won’t really end all that well for her either way. On one hand, if she is successful, she could end up on the throne herself, whether she wants to or not. Alternatively, her failure will essentially amount to a death sentence and could have serious repercussions for the entire empire.

King Of Ashes by S.A. Cosby (Mystery/Crime)

S.A. Cosby never fails to keep us on the edge of our seats, and his latest release is no different. After Roman’s father is left for dead following a hit-and-run, which appears to be no accident, he finds that he must step up to protect his family.

Yet, when he returns home, he discovers that his younger brother, Dante, owes a number of dangerous criminals and gangsters money. At the same time, his sister, Neveah, is exhausted from helping their father run the family crematorium.

How far will Roman go to help his family?

The Compound by Aisling Rawle (Sci-fi/Dystopian)

Giving us a twisted take on reality TV shows like Love Island, The Compound takes what we know about these shows and flips them on their heads in a sinister way.

With the world outside quite literally falling apart, Lily is happy to compete amongst her fellow twenty-somethings for love. Yet, when things take a turn from the norm, and the contestants are forced to take part in increasingly dangerous challenges, what will she do to win? And what exactly will happen to those who lose? We can’t wait to pick this one up ASAP.

Everything Is Tuberculosis: The History and Persistence of Our Deadliest Infection by John Green (Non-fiction)

2025 was a standout year for non-fiction, with books like The Let Them Theory, The New Age Of Sexism, and No More Tears all catching our eye, but John Green’s Everything Is Tuberculosis quickly made it to the top of many of our TBR (to be read) lists.

After meeting a young tuberculosis patient named Henry at a hospital in Sierra Leone, John tells Henry’s story alongside the scientific and social histories of what is a curable and preventable bacterial infection that still kills over a million people a year, all while pondering the future of the disease. At a little over 200 pages, it’s a great introduction to non-fiction–especially if you normally shy away from it–and at that length, it will have you well on your way when it comes to any reading challenge pledges for the new year.

The Names by Florence Knapp (Contemporary Fiction)

A difficult read, in many ways, The Names asks the question, what is in a name? How will life differ for one little boy if he is named Bear, Julian, or Gordon? Flipping back and forth between the three versions of one life, this Sliding Doors-style debut highlights how one, seemingly simple, decision can alter the course of a life, and the lives of those around him, as each section jumps forward a number of years to offer us a snapshot of how life is unfurling with the three different names.

A story of family, perseverance, the pervasive impact of domestic abuse, as well as fate, I’ve just picked this up myself and can’t wait to dive in.

One Golden Summer by Carley Fortune (Romance)

A fantastically escapist beach or summer read–let’s just say, we’re already counting down the days until winter is over–Carley Fortune’s One Golden Summer is the perfect romance to pick up, if you haven’t already.

The story follows Alice as she heads back to the lakeside town of Barry’s Bay, a place she has fond memories of visiting in her youth, to look after her beloved Nan. This has a coming-of-age feel to it, even though Alice is now grown, as she rediscovers the joy of such a place and contemplates where her life is heading back home, all while getting to know the boy (now a man) that she admired from afar all those years ago.

Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros (Romantasy)

It would be remiss of us not to mention one of the biggest books of 2025 - Onyx Storm. The third book in the Empyrean series, this is the kind of escapist fantasy that you won’t be able to put down.

In this latest tome, Violet finds herself embarking on what might just be her most dangerous mission yet, as she risks everything to save the ones closest to her, even if it means keeping a secret close to her chest that could destroy every one of them.

The Apple AirPods Pro 3 Noise Canceling Earbuds Drops to a New Lowest Price (Better Than Black Friday)

2 février 2026 à 19:10

Heads up: AirPods Pro 3 earbuds just got a new price cut that beats all previous deals, including Black Friday. The Verizon Store has lowered the price of the Apple AirPods Pro 3 earbuds to just $184 with free delivery. That's $65 off retail price and the lowest price I've seen to date. You do not need to be a Verizon subscriber to get in on this deal. The AirPods Pro 3 is a solid upgrade and potentially a worthwhile purchase even if you already own a previous generation model.

AirPods Pro 3 Earbuds for $184 (New All-Time Low Price)

The AirPods Pro 3 launched on September 19 and is the newest generation AirPods Pro. Like its predecessor, this is easily the best earbuds for anyone who uses an iPhone. Although it looks pretty similar to the 2nd gen AirPods, there are some pretty significant improvements under the hood. The most notable new feature is the built-in heart rate sensing (which means you don't need an Apple Watch anymore), but the AirPods Pro 3 improves in other subtle ways as well, including better audio quality, better noise cancelation, long battery life, and a more weatherproof IP57 shell.

Released alongside the AirPods Pro 3 was Apple's "Live Translation", which is an Apple Intelligence feature that translates other languages on the fly. This isn't exclusive to the AirPods Pro since it can also be used with the 2nd gen AirPods Pro and the AirPods 4. First hand reports have been generally very positive, including this take from PCMag.

Best Buy Has Open Box Asus ROG Strix G16 RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Laptops for Just $1,268

2 février 2026 à 19:05

Best Buy is offering yet another fantastic deal on a preowned gaming laptop. While supplies last, you can pick up an open box "excellent condition" Asus ROG Strix G16 RTX 5070 Ti gaming laptop for just $1,267.99 with free shipping. If you were to get it new, it would cost $1,600. These preowned laptops are Geek Squad verified and sometimes still have all or some of their original warranty. Note that open box availability depends on your location.

Asus ROG Strix G16 RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Laptop for $1,268

Open Box - Excellent Condition

The Asus ROG Strix G16 gaming laptop features a 16" 1920x1200 IPS display, AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor, GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5600MHz, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. It measures 0.9" thin and weighs about 5.5 pounds. It's not the lightest laptop on the block, but that's because the Strix models put more emphasis on maximum performance and cooling. This is a pretty high-end model from Asus, sitting just under the Scar lineup and side by side with the Zephyrus lineup. The top lid boasts solid aluminum construction, but the base is made of plastic to keep the weight down and reduce heat transfer to the keyboard and palm area so that your hands don't get toasty while gaming.

The GeForce RTX 5070 Ti mobile GPU can handle the most demanding games

The RTX 5070 Ti mobile GPU is comparable in performance to the previous generation's RTX 4080 and pulls ahead of it in games that support DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation. It should easily be able to handle even the newest and most demanding games like Ghost of Yotei, Battlefield 6, and Borderlands 4 on the native 1920x1200 display.

Resident Evil Requiem Live-Action Trailer Provides a Fresh Look at Ruined Raccoon City

2 février 2026 à 19:00

Capcom has published a live-action Resident Evil Requiem trailer that showcases our best look yet at the ruins of Raccoon City, a few weeks before players get to explore it for themselves.

The live-action short features Longlegs actress Maika Monroe, who plays a mother living in Raccoon City shortly before its infamous zombie outbreak. Things sadly do not end well for her (or her daughter) in this three-minute short film that is meant to set the scene ahead of Requiem's arrival.

Fans can now find the short film by scanning QR codes found on viral marketing appearing in New York's Time Square and around Hollywood. Alternatively, its YouTube link is now live and fans are sharing it around social media:

Capcom released a live action short film for Resident Evil Requiem called 'Evil Has Always Had A Name'https://t.co/5yf0Dm7cTL pic.twitter.com/bkl11bxCyC

— Stealth (@Stealth40k) February 2, 2026

The trailer features cops, dogs, and numerous background actors as zombies. A wide shot shows the huge crater left by the missile strike at the end of Resident Evil 3, designed to ultimately neutralize the city's undead outbreak. At street level, the city subsequently looks post-apocalyptic, with burnt out cars and part-collapsed skyscrapers as far as the eye can see.

Fans are already discussing the trailer's end, which features two shadows moving past. Dialogue is then heard saying "That's the last of them, facility secured," and then "Copy that, Raccoon City is ours." These voices certainly don't sound like Requiem's leading duo of Leon S. Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft, so who are they? And who has claimed the city now — Umbrella?

Resident Evil fans have known for some time that they will finally get to return to Raccoon City in the series' upcoming Requiem, which is set to tie-up long-gestating plot threads related to the location and to the shadowy Umbrella Corportation that have been dangling ever since the franchise's origins. An early trailer for Requiem featured a glimpse at the ruined city, and Leon's former Raccoon City Police Department headquarters.

How much more will we get to explore? With only a few weeks to go until launch, Capcom seems to have kept much of Resident Evil Requiem under wraps. That said, the game's director recently made a point of clearing up fan speculation that the game will be open world.

"This year is the 30th anniversary of the Resident Evil series, so it feels like no coincidence that 2026’s Resident Evil Requiem is combining the best ideas of the saga into what appears to be a fantastically constructed tribute to everything that makes the series so great," IGN wrote in our recent Resident Evil Requiem final preview. "Do you like tense survival horror? It’s here. Wanna go all guns blazing with intense action and a quip-obsessed hero? You get that too."

'A CGI Embalming' — Xfinity's Jurassic Park Super Bowl Ad Features Digitally De-Aged Sam Neil, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum

2 février 2026 à 18:56

Super Bowl LX may still be a few days away, but Xfinity has already released its Jurassic Park-themed ad that features a digitally de-aged Sam Neil, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum.

Directed by Thor: Love & Thunder's Taika Waititi, the commercial includes clips from the original Jurassic Park intercut with new scenes starring its leading trio — albeit with some wonky CGI to make them appear 30 years younger.

While Xfinity's concept — what if Jurassic Park didn't go wrong? — is fun, viewers are already criticizing the ad's odd-looking de-aging, which was worked on by Industrial Light & Magic — the visual effects studio that also de-aged Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian to a mixed response.

🚨 ‘JURASSIC PARK’ returns in a new advertisement for Xfinity 🚨 pic.twitter.com/W2xcg4NmGU

— Swrve 🦖 'Jurassic' News & Content (@SwrveYT) February 2, 2026

The commercial begins with Jurassic Park's technical systems failing, as seen in the original movie. Luckily, here a jolly Xfinity technician shows up to plug in a new router, saving the day. With Jurassic Park now open and operating safely, a CGI-faced Sam Neil goes dinosaur watching, while a similarly altered Jeff Goldblum enjoys a mountain of shrimp.

"Yes, uh, Wi-Fi finds a way," Goldblum says, lounging at the pool with a tablet.

"He doesn't look like a younger man," responded one fan on social media, referring to the CGI behind Sam Neil's de-aged look. "He looks like a mannequin of a younger man, dreamed up by an AI that's only ever seen '90s movies through a vaseline-smeared lens. It's a CGI embalming."

"The actors look so uncanny," wrote benmannxd on reddit. "The Jurassic franchise is renowned for using CGI to reanimate dinosaurs!" responded Pitbullpandemonium.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the ad has been made possible because Xfinity owner Comcast owns NBCUniversal. Jurassic Park is owned by Universal, while NBC is airing Super Bowl LX.

"Bringing Jurassic Park back to life for this campaign has been an extraordinary collaboration across Comcast NBCUniversal," said David O'Connor, chief brand officer, Universal Entertainment. "For more than three decades, the franchise has captured the imagination of audiences around the world, and this partnership with Xfinity allows fans to experience that world in a completely fresh way.

"By combining the timeless characters and iconic moments of the original film with modern technology, we’re celebrating the legacy of Jurassic Park while introducing it to a new generation," O'Connor went on. "It’s a testament to the enduring power of the franchise and the kind of creative, cross-company storytelling that only NBCUniversal can deliver."

The Liquid Cooled Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC Drops to $2,250 at Dell

2 février 2026 à 18:45

2026 has already seen surges in the cost of DDR5 RAM and higher end Nvidia GPUs. Unfortunately, this also affects the price of prebuilt gaming PCs. Obviously this isn't an ideal time to be buying new computer parts, but if that's not stopping you from upgrading, I would suggest jumping on a deal you find now rather than waiting a little longer. Fortunately, there are still good deals when you know where to look.

Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC for $2250

Dell is currently offering an Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 gaming PC for $2,249.99 with free delivery after a $580 instant discount. This isn't the lowest price it has ever been, but it's a significant drop from the beginning of the year when it was priced closer to $2,800. If you're looking for a future-proof system, this RTX 5080 equipped PC should be powerful enough to set you up for 4K gaming for years to come.

This customizable system is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F is a 20-core processor with a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz. It's cooled by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooling system. The 1,000W power supply gives you headroom for upgrades down the road.

The GeForce RTX 5080 GPU will run any game in 4K

Performance-wise, the RTX 5080 is no slouch. It's one of the fastest cards on the market, bested only by the $2,000 RTX 5090 and the discontinued $1,600 RTX 4090. This is a phenomenal card for playing the latest, most demanding games in 4K resolution at high settings and ray tracing enabled. The RTX 5080 supports DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation, which means you can push even more frames out of games that support the technology with minimal visual compromise. Recent games that support it include Doom: The Dark Ages, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Borderlands 4, Stellar Blade, and Battlefield 6. Check out our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review for our hands-on impressions.

The 10 Most Valuable Ascended Heroes Pokémon Cards That I'm Already Chasing

2 février 2026 à 18:30

The Mega Evolution set’s Ascended Heroes expansion has quickly become yet another collector-driven Pokémon TCG release, with demand greatly outweighing the supply and maxing out the value of certain cards.

With Mega Evolutions returning in force and Special Illustration Rares pushing presentation to extravagant new heights, the set has created another sharp divide between playable staples and true luxury chase cards.

While not every premium pull is destined for competitive dominance, each of the top ten most expensive cards so far has earned a lofty market price with jaw-dropping artwork, gameplay relevance, pure scarcity, or a combination of the three.

Using the dedicated trading card marketplace TCGplayer, we’ve ranked the 10 most valuable Pokémon cards from Ascended Heroes by their current market price at the time of writing, how their artwork stands out, and why their gameplay impact has kept collectors and competitive players chasing them alike.

10. Mega Froslass ex (275/217)

Mega Froslass ex may sit at the bottom of this list, but its appeal is far from modest. The artwork leans into icy elegance, placing Froslass against a stark, wintry backdrop that feels painterly rather than action-packed. That sort of subdued aesthetic stands apart from the chaos of other Mega Evolutions, making it a sure favourite among collectors who value atmospheric art over spectacle.

In play, Mega Froslass ex has carved out a niche as a disruptive attacker. Its ability to punish large hands and inflict Sleep introduces awkward sequencing for opponents, particularly in slower, resource-heavy matchups. While not a format-defining threat, its control-oriented design has kept it relevant enough to justify its premium status.

9. N’s Zoroark ex (286/217)

Another of the most valuable Pokémon cards in Ascended Heroes, this Special Illustration Rare thrives on narrative as much as mechanics. The artwork places N alongside Zoroark in a richly detailed scene that echoes the duo’s moral ambiguity, rendered in muted tones that feel almost storybook-like.

Gameplay-wise, N’s Zoroark ex remains a utility powerhouse. Its Trade ability seems like one of the most efficient new draw engines in the game, while Night Joker’s attack-copying effect grants immense flexibility. That versatility should keep Zoroark shells relevant across multiple formats, making this version a collector favourite that still earns its keep at the table.

8. Iono’s Bellibolt ex (279/217)

Few Pokémon cards in Ascended Heroes feel as vibrant as Iono’s Bellibolt ex; bursting with neon colours and cartoony expressions, the artwork mirrors Iono’s on-screen energy perfectly — instantly giving the card the kind of big personality we know her for.

That personality translates cleanly into gameplay, too. Electric Streamer allows relentless Energy acceleration, enabling aggressive Lightning strategies to overwhelm opponents before they stabilise. While Bellibolt ex requires careful management to avoid overextending, as Thunderous Bolt stops it from attacking the next turn, its all-around explosiveness has made it a popular addition.

7. Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex (287/217)

Dark, brooding, and unapologetically stylish, Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex delivers one of the expansion’s particularly striking character moments — with Marnie’s defiant look pairing with Grimmsnarl’s looming presence, feeling like a thrilling anime snapshot.

Competitively, Grimmsnarl ex rewards evolution-based strategies with efficient Energy acceleration and reliable spread damage. Its consistency has made it a staple in Darkness archetypes, and the Trainer-Pokémon pairing adds enduring collector appeal beyond raw power.

6. Mega Feraligatr ex (274/217)

Another expensive Pokémon TCG entry from Ascended Heroes, this card feels like pure momentum, with Mega Feraligatr’s erupting from crashing water, all sharp angles and violent motion, perfectly communicating its role as a bruiser.

Mortal Crunch excels at punishing damaged Pokémon, allowing Mega Feraligatr ex to close games with alarming speed once pressure is applied. Its straightforward, punishing design should resonate with players who favour decisive turns and collectors who appreciate its unapologetic ferocity.

5. Lillie’s Clefairy ex (280/217)

Few cards in Ascended Heroes are as emotionally resonant as Lillie’s Clefairy ex. The artwork is soft, joyful, and intimate, capturing a tender moment that stands in deliberate contrast to the set’s more bombastic Megas.

Despite its gentle presentation, Clefairy ex carries surprising competitive weight. Fairy Zone’s Weakness manipulation can completely warp matchups, while Full Moon Rondo scales effectively in Bench-heavy formats. Its blend of charm and tactical impact is expected to keep pushing demand well beyond casual collectors.

4. Mega Diancie ex (282/217)

One of Ascended Heroes’ most bedazzling cards, Mega Diancie ex looks like a gemstone brought to life before going under a Sailor Moon transformation. Like Mega Gardevoir ex in the Mega Evolution base set, the pastel-heavy illustration gives off pure elegance and symmetry, creating one of the most visually refined cards in the set.

Diamond Coat grants meaningful damage reduction, while Garland Ray offers flexible scaling that rewards precise Energy management. Mega Diancie ex will likely find a comfortable role in defensive Psychic builds, and its graceful presentation ensures it remains highly desirable even outside tournament play.

3. Mega Dragonite ex (290/217)

The poster child of Ascended Heroes, it’s no surprise that Mega Dragonite ex is one of the most valuable Pokémon TCG newcomers in the expansions, as well as being a pure joy rendered in colour. The artwork is lively and whimsical in an almost magical tone, depicting Dragonite soaring through a dreamlike sky.

On the battlefield, though, Sky Transport introduces constant positional control, while Ryuno Glide delivers devastating damage with surprising efficiency. Dragonite’s popularity as a Pokémon in general, combined with genuine competitive utility, has made this one of the most sought-after pulls in Ascended Heroes.

2. Mega Charizard Y ex (294/217)

Gold cards rarely divide opinion, but Mega Charizard Y ex embraces the style choice’s excess unapologetically. Like those that came before, this Mega Hyper Rare treatment transforms Charizard into a glowing icon, stripped of detail yet radiating prestige.

Explosion Y hits brutally hard, too, with this singular move capable of swinging games in just one attack. That raw power, paired with Charizard’s evergreen popularity, is likely to keep this card a centrepiece of big collections.

1. Mega Gengar ex (284/217)

The most valuable card among the Pokémon TCG’s new Ascended Heroes expansion, Mega Gengar ex stands at the summit of this expensive top ten. Not only is the artwork grippingly chaotic with five menacing, swirling colours, but Gengar’s predatory grin feels alive within the frame, too.

Gameplay-wise, Mega Gengar ex offers both disruption and efficiency. Shadowy Concealment’s Prize manipulation subtly shifts tempo, while Void Gale enables smooth Energy redistribution. Combined with Ascended Heroes’ extreme scarcity at MSRP and iconic design, it’s little wonder this card commands a near four-figure market price.

Where to Buy Ascended Heroes Sealed Boosters

The Ascended Heroes expansion has officially kicked off Pokémon TCG’s 2026 run, but there are only a couple of places where you can reliably buy ETBs, booster packs, and collections right now. Note, outside of keeping up with deal trackers, you’ll likely have to pay above retail price for the time being.

That’s along with not every product even being launched on that 30 January release date. That said, we’ll give you a full breakdown of the best places to get your buy for Pokémon preorders for whichever Mega Evolution: Ascended Heroes products you’re looking out for.

The Best HBO Max Deals (February 2026)

2 février 2026 à 18:03

Max is officially back to being HBO Max. Even though the name has changed (returned?), the library is still full of great films and shows to watch. HBO Max is home to some incredibly high-quality watches, including House of the Dragon, The White Lotus, The Last of Us, and Sinners. You can tune in to Season 2 of Peacemaker and even catch up on James Gunn's Superman beforehand.

If you've been hoping to start up an account to dig into that library, we're here to help. While HBO Max recently increased the price of all of its monthly plans by around $1, we're keeping track of the best price for subscriptions, along with any deals as they appear. Let's get into what's available right now.

Our Top Pick: The Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max Streaming Bundle

There are no active discounts available for HBO Max, so your best bet for savings (assuming you're already on the hook for more than one subscription) is by checking out some bundles.

Our favorite streaming bundle includes Disney Plus, Hulu, and HBO Max. The deal can be purchased through any of the three streaming services and starts at $19.99/month for the ad-supported tier or $32.99/month for ad-free access across all three platforms. It'll save you quite a bit compared to what you'd pay for the three of them separately per month – 43% on the ad-supported plan and 42% on the ad-free plan.

To learn more about how to get started with this bundle as a new or existing subscriber, head to our guide on how to get (or switch over to) the Disney+/Hulu/HBO Max streaming bundle.

Students Get 50% off HBO Max Basic With Ads

If you're a student, you can score the HBO Max Basic With Ads plan for just $5.49/month. That's 50% off the usual price, which is a very nice deal to take advantage of. In order to get the discount, you'll need to verify your student status with UNiDAYS, then you'll get a unique code that you can use to redeem the discounted plan.

Subscribe to HBO Max

If you're just looking to sign up for a HBO Max subscription, there are a few different options to choose from:

The Basic and Standard tiers allow up to two concurrent streams and offer Full HD resolution. The Standard tier allows users to download shows and movies to watch on the go, too.

HBO Max also has an additional Premium tier, which offers 4K UHD resolution and Dolby Atmos sound alongside four concurrent streams. The details are as follows:

There is currently no HBO Max free trial available, so you'll need to be a paying subscriber to access the service.

What's Streaming on HBO Max?

HBO Max features a wide variety of programming. New additions to HBO Max in February include Paddington 2, The Shape of Water, and The Notebook, as well as the continued first season of the new Game of Thrones spin-off, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

Otherwise, the service includes shows from brands like HGTV, Food Network, TLC, and the Magnolia Network. Of course, one of the big draws of HBO Max is HBO Originals like The Last of Us, Succession, Barry, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The White Lotus, House of the Dragon, and more. It also includes DC's slate of movies and shows like Superman and Peacemaker, as well as other popular Warner Bros. films like Mickey 17 and Sinners. Plus, HBO Max continues to house popular streaming series like Friends, Full House, and the Harry Potter movie collection.

Back when it was still called 'Max', we gave the streaming service an 8/10 in our review, stating that, "For all its problems and an app that still runs a little too heavy, the extensive selection of well-curated choices make Max a worthwhile investment for cinema and TV lovers."

What's the Difference Between 4K and Blu-ray?

The distinction between 4K and Blu-ray is mostly about resolution. A standard Blu-ray disc will usually offer 1080p resolution whereas a 4K disc will offer 2160p resolution. And while all Blu-ray players will be able to play those 1080p discs, not every machine is equipped for 4K.

Best 4K TVs

If you're looking to buy a new TV that will make your 4K movies shine, you'll definitely want to take a look at our favorites. Our tech editors have selected the best 4K TVs for gaming, which will also work great for movie-watching. And since both the PS5 and Xbox Series X have 4K Blu-ray play-back built in, you'll probably be doing plenty of gaming on them as well.

LG C5 OLED Smart Gaming TV

The LG G5 is currently our top pick for a gaming TV, but the price on those refelcts their quality. Which is to say they're really expensive. If you want a deal on a terrific TV in a more reasonable price range, you might want to consider picking an LG C3, which costs significantly less for the same size TV. Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream Preorders Are Now Live – Out April 16

2 février 2026 à 18:06

Get ready for an island adventure with your Mii this year. Nintendo Switch owners can now preorder Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream at a variety of retailers (see it here at Amazon). All have it listed for $59.99, with a release date of April 16 this year, so you can kick off spring with your new Mii characters.

Below, we've included several places where preorders for the game are available at the moment, alongside some more details on what you can expect when you jump in.

Preorder Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is only available to preorder for the original Switch, though Nintendo did note in a recent announcement that the game will "be playable on Nintendo Switch 2." It's currently unclear if a dedicated Switch 2 version will eventually be released. There's also no mention of a preorder bonus at the moment, though we're keeping an eye out to see if anything changes.

What Is Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream?

It's been over a decade since the last Tomodachi game, and the most recent Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream Nintendo Direct gave us plenty of details about what to expect from this new installment. Set against a little island paradise you get to make your own, the game allows you to fully customize the Mii characters that inhabit it.

According to Nintendo, you can customize them "right down to their personalities, little quirks and living spaces, then see what weird and wonderful things they’ll get up to. Give them an occasional nudge to divulge what’s on their minds, help them solve life’s problems, cultivate their friendships and more." Nintendo has also made the game more inclusive than before, offering a range of options for your character's gender, voice, and dating preferences.

Other Preorder Guides

Curious what else is available to preorder right now? Have a look through our list of preorder guides below to start securing some new additions for your library, whether you're interested in Pokémon Pokopia, Mario Tennis Fever, or Resident Evil Requiem. There's plenty of upcoming Switch 2 games to look forward to in 2026 already.

Dead by Daylight: The Hillbilly #1 Spotlights an Iconic Killer

2 février 2026 à 18:00

The Hillbilly is easily one of the most memorable Killers in Dead by Daylight. That makes him a perfect choice to get the spotlight in Titan Comics' latest Dead by Daylight tie-in comic.

Last month, IGN debuted the trailer for Dead by Daylight: The Hillbilly #1. Now we can reveal a new preview of this issue. Check it out in the slideshow gallery below:

Dead by Daylight: The Hillbilly is written by Derek Fridolfs (Stranger Things) and drawn by Dean Kotz (James Bond), with colors by Allison Hu. The first issue features cover art by Kotz, Alex Horley, Francesca Ciregia, Ilan Sheady, and Niclas Mortensen. Each issue of the series also comes with a code for exclusive DLC for the game.

Here's Titan's official description of this issue:

When Officer Darnell Hollis makes the largest drugs bust in his small town’s history, the success draws the attention of City Hall. On the fast-track to success, this could be life-changing for Hollis and his young family. But the Rookie is haunted by horrific visions of violence and viscera in waking nightmares. And on Coldwind Farm, Hollis is confronted by a monster who is kept in a dark basement and lives for the slaughter. In the dense fog, a man called Boy tests the strengths of his chains, waiting for the day he’ll break free...

Dead by Daylight: The Hillbilly #1 will be released on April 8, 2026. You can find out more about the series here.

In other Dead by Daylight news, you can check out a new trailer for the game's Stranger Things: Season 2 content.

The Best Disney+ Deals and Bundles for February 2026

2 février 2026 à 15:32

Considering what it offers, Disney+ is one of the best streaming services on the block. From classic Disney animated films to the latest from the MCU (currently Wonder Man), Star Wars, and so much more, Disney+ puts an incredible range of high-quality viewing options at your fingertips. There's tons to watch, but after another round of price hikes, you might want to revisit your streaming subscriptions. We're here to help.

At the moment, one of the best Disney Plus bundle deals available is the massive Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max streaming bundle. This starts at $19.99/month to get you all three streaming services with ads. Bundles are definitely worth considering, especially following the news of Hulu eventually fully integrating into the Disney+ app.

Limited-Time Deal: One Month of Disney+ and Hulu With Ads for $9.99

Until February 17, you can get one month of Disney+ and Hulu (with ads) for $9.99, $2 less than standalone subscriptions to either service. Sure, it's not a door-stopping discount, but it's a decent way to test out the Disney waters or catch up on a particular series.

How to Get the Disney Plus, Hulu, and HBO Max Streaming Bundle

Want a way to save on your Disney+ membership sooner rather than later? Bundles are a great, affordable way to go. Our top recommendation is the Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max streaming bundle can be purchased through any of the three streaming services and starts at $19.99/month for the ad-supported tier or $32.99/month for ad-free access across the three platforms. If you currently own all three and want to cut down on costs, this is a great way to bundle them together and save big on what you'd pay for them separately per month – 42% on the ad-supported plan and 43% on the ad-free plan.

Every Other Disney+ Bundle Option

Beyond HBO Max, you can also choose to bundle Disney+ with just Hulu or the all-new ESPN Unlimited service. Here's the breakdown of all your bundle options:

  • Disney+, Hulu Bundle is $12.99/month and comes with subscriptions to Disney+ and Hulu. This plan lets you stream on multiple devices at once and comes with ad-supported versions of both services.
  • Disney+, Hulu Bundle Premium is $19.99/month and comes with Hulu and Disney+ with no ads. It also includes Disney+ Premium features like the ability to download shows to watch on the go.
  • Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Select Bundle adds ESPN Select (With Ads) to the mix alongside Disney+ (With Ads) and Hulu (With Ads), bumping up the price to $19.99/month. You can also download and watch select content on ESPN Select at this level.
  • Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Select Bundle Premium is $29.99/month and comes with ESPN Select (With Ads) and ad-free versions of Disney+ and Hulu. You can also download select content across all three streaming services.
  • Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited Bundle is $35.99/month and includes the new ESPN Unlimited service with live ESPN coverage as well as Hulu and Disney+ (With Ads).
  • Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited Bundle Premium is $44.99/month. The big difference here is you get the ad-free versions of Hulu and Disney+.

What About Standalone Disney+ Subscriptions?

Disney+ is available in a couple of different tiers. You can get the least expensive option (simply called Disney+) for $11.99/month, which gives you access to everything except the ability to download select shows to watch on the go. This tier is ad supported. If you want to get rid of ads and be able to download certain shows, you can spring for the $18.99/month or $189.99/year Disney+ Premium package.

What Is the Paid Sharing Plan on Disney Plus?

In an effort to crack down on password sharing, Disney has added a paid sharing plan for individuals outside of your household. Basically, anyone using your account that's not within your household will have to be added as an "Extra Member" to your account. This costs an additional $6.99/month for the ad-supported subscription and $9.99/month for the Premium ad-free plan, and only one Extra Member slot is available per account. You can learn more from Disney's paid sharing explainer here.

Disney+ Gift Cards

If you want to help someone out and give them a gift that will keep on giving, gifting a one-year Disney+ card is a great option. It provides all the great things Disney+ offers and it costs a fraction of what it would take to buy even a small sampling of those movies physically.

What Can You Watch on Disney+?

There is a bonkers array of shows and movies you can watch on Disney+. Highlights coming to Disney+ in February include the return of The Muppet Show, a new season of The Artful Dodger, and a 24/7 Hannah Montana stream. For new and potential subscribers, here's a deeper dive into what's available on the service:

Disney

On the Disney front, you have awesome classic movies like The Sword In The Stone, Robin Hood, 101 Dalmations, Hercules, and Sleeping Beauty, modern classics like The Princess & The Frog, Tangled, and Frozen, and a wide range of animated shows, including Phineas & Ferb.

You also gain access to a ton of vintage content like Escape to Witch Mountain, The Apple Dumpling Gang, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, The Love Bug, and a whole lot more. The Disney Junior section is home to absolutely top tier animated shows like Bluey (which, for my money, is worth the price of admission on its own).

There's way more on offer, too, including a ton of Muppet movies, new live-action films and adaptions (including the new Snow White), nature programs, documentaries, Pirates of the Caribbean, and musical programs featuring Taylor Swift (like her wildly popular The Eras Tour), Elton John, Ed Sheeran, and more.

Pixar

When it comes to computer generated films, Pixar stands alone. Kicking off the revolution with Toy Story, Pixar has consistently put out fantastic films, and they are all here. From the Toy Story series to Finding Nemo, Cars, and more recent hits like Inside Out 2, there is a ton to love.

Beyond even that, there are incredible shorts like Bao and Party Central, as well as a wide range of originals and series based on major films, such as Dory's Reef Cam, Forky Asks A Question, Cars On The Road, and more.

Marvel

The MCU has become a true juggernaut, and there are many viewers who subscribe to Disney+ purely for access to nearly the entire MCU lineup of films and shows.

Whether you are a fan of the blockbuster action films, you are an appreciator of the classic 90s runs of "Saturday morning" cartoons like X-Men, or you are currently vibing to the funky theme of the 1981 Spider-Man series, there is a ton of Marvel to enjoy on Disney+. And with new movies and shows being added to the MCU all the time, including most recently the series Wonder Man, there is always more coming.

Star Wars

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, there was a film that changed everything. The original Star Wars is a seminal sci-fi fantasy work that inspired generations of creators, but there is still nothing quite like that far away galaxy. Disney+ grants access to all things Star Wars, including the remastered versions of the original trilogy (hopefully some day they'll add the theatrical cuts, too), as well as the prequels and sequels.

You can also stay up-to-date on all the latest shows, including The Mandalorian and the critically-lauded Andor, which recently wrapped up its second and final season. There are also fantastic short series like Star Wars Visions, and longer-form series like The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch, Young Jedi Adventures, and a whole lot more.
