Yunzii debuts the M1 – its first lightweight gaming mouse

3 mars 2026 à 18:30

Yunzii is known for its keyboards, but it seems the company hasn't stopped there. Although it had launched mice before (the C-series), these weren't clearly for gaming and were more like cute compact mice. Now with the new M1, Yunzii hopes to get some of that market with an affordable, configurable gaming mouse.

The Yunzii M1 (via TechPowerUP) is a lightweight gaming mouse designed for both competitive play and productivity. Weighing in at just 60 grams, it is engineered to reduce wrist strain during long sessions without sacrificing durability. Its ergonomic shape supports multiple grip styles, following the natural curve of the hand for a more comfortable experience.

Equipped with the PAW3311 sensor, the M1 offers precise tracking at 300 IPS and 35G acceleration. It supports a 1000 Hz polling rate for a 1 ms latency, ensuring your movements are translated to the screen instantly. For versatility, it features tri-mode connectivity, allowing you to switch between 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and USB-C wired modes across Windows and macOS devices.

Customisation is a core feature, with seven preset DPI levels ranging from 400 to 10,000 and the ability to reach 22,000 DPI via software. The mouse also includes a 500 mAh rechargeable battery and a built-in storage compartment for the 2.4G receiver. The Yunzii M1 is now available in pink, white, or black for $39.99.

KitGuru says: Would you consider the Yunzii M1 for your next gaming mouse, or does it lack some features that you require?

Nacon delays Connect showcase amid financial restructuring

3 mars 2026 à 18:00

Nacon has confirmed that its upcoming digital showcase, Nacon Connect, has been postponed to May 2026. This decision follows a recent insolvency filing by the publisher after its parent company, Bigben Interactive, was unable to meet a partial loan repayment.

In a statement addressed to fans, the Nacon team acknowledged the “difficult moment” for the company but emphasised that the situation is a hurdle rather than a conclusion. The delay is intended to allow the team to stabilise their financial position and focus on the final polish of their current projects.

Despite the corporate restructuring, Nacon maintains that its announced release schedule remains on track. The most immediate title on the horizon is GreedFall: The Dying World, which is still slated for launch on March 12th. The publisher currently has several high-profile games in active development across PC and consoles, including the survival-focused Terminator Survivors, Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss, Dragonkin: The Banished, and Hunting Simulator 3. Other projects, such as Edge of Memories and The Mound Omen of Cthulhu, are also progressing as planned while the company awaits a ruling from a French court on its debt restructuring request.

Besides games, the May broadcast is expected to provide deeper looks at Nacon's new gaming accessories and peripherals.

KitGuru says: It's rare to see a publisher be this transparent about insolvency, but Nacon's honesty might buy them some much-needed goodwill from the community. With GreedFall: The Dying World launching in just a few days, the stakes are incredibly high, as a successful launch there could provide the momentum needed to carry them through.

Iron Galaxy may have teased a Fallout New Vegas remaster

3 mars 2026 à 17:30

For years, fans have wanted to see Obsidian's Fallout: New Vegas remastered for newer hardware. Development may have actually just begun on that exact thing, according to a teaser from Iron Galaxy Studios.

In a teaser image shared by the studio, Iron Galaxy declared that it had held its February meeting, attaching an image of the ‘Please Stand By' loading screen from Fallout: New Vegas. The belief now is that Iron Galaxy has been tapped to aid in the development of a New Vegas remaster. So far, neither Iron Galaxy nor Bethesda have denied the rumour.

Iron Galaxy Studios has worked closely with both Xbox and Bethesda in the past, handling development for Killer Instinct 3, as well as providing support for projects like The Elder Scrolls Online, Skyrim (various ports) and Fallout 76.

Considering Iron Galaxy's history with Bethesda and the Fallout IP, the studio does make sense for helping out on a remaster. Hopefully it will match the same quality bar that Virtuos set with the Oblivion remaster.

KitGuru Says: Would you like to see a New Vegas remaster? Or would you prefer to revisit one of the other Fallout games?

Apple launches new M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro

3 mars 2026 à 17:00

Apple has launched a major update across its Mac lineup, introducing the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips alongside refreshed MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models. The new processors bring Apple’s Fusion Architecture, higher CPU and GPU performance, and expanded on‑device AI capabilities.

The M5 Pro and M5 Max are built from two 3nm dies connected into a single SoC, enabling higher bandwidth and more parallel compute. Both chips feature an 18‑core CPU with six ‘super cores' and twelve performance cores, which Apple says deliver up to 30% faster performance in professional workflows. GPU configurations scale up to 40 cores, each with a Neural Accelerator, resulting in more than 4x the peak GPU compute for AI compared to the previous generation.

These chips power the updated 14‑inch and 16‑inch MacBook Pro models, which retain the same design but gain faster SSDs, Wi‑Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 via Apple’s N1 wireless chip, and higher base storage. The 14‑inch MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro starts at $2,199, while the 16‑inch version starts at $2,699. Configurations with the M5 Max begin at $3,599 (14‑inch) and $3,899 (16‑inch).

Apple also introduced the new MacBook Air with M5, available in 13‑inch and 15‑inch sizes. The M5 chip features a 10‑core CPU and up to a 10‑core GPU, with each GPU core also including a Neural Accelerator for AI workloads. The MacBook Air now starts at 512GB of storage, replacing the old 256GB baseline. The newer model can be upgraded to up to 4TB of storage and it also gains the new N1 wireless chip, providing support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Pricing starts at $1,099 for the 13‑inch model and $1,299 for the 15‑inch model.

Elgato makes Wave Link 3.0 software free and rolls out new audio gear line-up

3 mars 2026 à 16:30

Elgato has announced Wave Next, a major expansion of its audio ecosystem and the biggest update to the Wave platform since its debut in 2020. The new lineup brings together six products – Wave Link 3.0, Wave:3 MK.2, Wave XLR MK.2, XLR Dock MK.2, Wave XLR Pro, and the Stream Deck + XL.

Wave Link 3.0 sits at the centre of the update as a fully redesigned, free audio mixer for Windows and macOS. It works with almost any microphone or interface and supports up to five independent submixes for streaming, recording, calls, and monitoring. A new horizontal routing table provides a clearer overview of the signal path, while per‑channel VST support allows detailed shaping of individual sources. Native Stream Deck integration automatically generates control profiles based on a user’s setup.

All new Wave hardware is powered by Wave FX Processor, a custom chip co‑developed with Lewitt Audio. It moves key processing into hardware, starting with Clipguard 2.0 to prevent distortion, followed by five onboard DSP effects with zero latency. VST Insert support creates a low‑latency loop between hardware and software, injecting processed audio directly into any application without virtual devices.

The hardware lineup includes the Wave:3 MK.2 USB microphone, the Wave XLR MK.2 interface for XLR mics, and the XLR Dock MK.2 module for Stream Deck +. The flagship Wave XLR Pro arrives in Q2 2026 with dual XLR inputs, five hardware mixes, dual headphone outputs, USB Aux for a second PC or console, and standalone operation. Stream Deck + XL rounds out the ecosystem with 36 LCD keys, six dials, and a wide touch strip for tactile control.

The Wave:3 MK.2, Wave XLR MK.2, XLR Dock MK.2, and Stream Deck + XL are all available now. Meanwhile, the Wave XLR Pro will start shipping sometime between April and June. The new Wave Link 3.0 software is freely available to download on the Elgato website.

DLSS comes to Death Stranding 2, Marathon and more this month

3 mars 2026 à 15:30

This week Nvidia is announcing the next round of DLSS-supported titles for March. This month will see more big hitters landing, following up last week's Resident Evil Requiem launch with the likes of Monster Hunter Stories 3, Marathon and Death Stranding 2.

Death Stranding 2 is the headlining game this month, The game launches on March 19th for PC, ending a roughly 9-month period of PS5 exclusivity. When the game lands on PC, it will support DLSS 4 from day-one, enabling standard Frame Generation on RTX 40 GPUs and Multi-Frame Generation on RTX 50 series graphics cards. Through the Nvidia App, this is also one of the games supported by the DLSS 4.5 Override, so you can squeeze out even better visuals.

Marathon is another big game launching this week with DLSS support. This is the latest PvP-focused shooter from Bungie, the creators of Halo and Destiny. This time around though, there is no campaign, just a tense extraction shooter where multiple groups fight over land and loot before attempting to make their escape. The game will support DLSS 4 from day-one, as well as the DLSS 4.5 override via the Nvidia App.

Monter Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is also launching very soon, offering a more traditional JRPG take on the Monster Hunter franchise. The new game in the series launches on March 13th for PC, complete with DLSS, DLAA and Nvidia Reflex.

Two other titles on the list today include Demonologist, which supports DLSS 4 and DLSS 4.5 Override, and Black One Blood Brothers, a new single-player military shooter with support for DLSS 4, as well as the DLSS 4.5 Override in the Nvidia App.

Nvidia corrects critical fan failure with 595.71 driver update

3 mars 2026 à 10:00

Nvidia recently hit a major snag with its 595.59 driver release, which was meant to be the “Game Ready” for the launches of Resident Evil Requiem and Marathon. Instead of delivering smooth frames, it delivered a genuine hardware scare. Just hours after launch, the company had to remove the driver and advise users to roll back because the driver was disabling fan controls.

To solve the issue, the development team released the 595.71 WHQL driver. This corrected version squashes the bugs that caused those cooling failures. It also includes a fix for a crash in Blackmagic Design that occurred during AV1 decoding. If you've been holding off on your Raccoon City return because of overheating fears, this is the update that makes it safe to go back in the water.

Despite the emergency nature of this patch, all performance enhancements remain in place. That means you can still leverage DLSS 4 in Resident Evil Requiem to maximise your frame rates, while Marathon players still get access to DLSS and Reflex. It is the same performance boost promised last week, but this time, your hardware will actually stay cool while delivering it. The detailed patch notes can be found below:

Fixed Gaming Bugs

  • The Ascent: Intermittent black bar on top of screen on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs [5859818]
  • Total War: THREE KINGDOMS: Green artifacts appear on GeForce RTX 50 series [5745647]
  • FINAL FANTASY XII The Zodiac Age crashes with fatal error after driver update [5741199]
  • Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019) displays image corruption after driver update [5733427]
  • Quantum Break: Performance drops significantly on Act 4 Part 1 [5607678]

Fixed General Bugs

  • 595.59: HW monitoring utilities not detecting all fans on the GPU [5934264]
  • 595.59: One or more fans not spinning on GPUs after driver update [5934333]
  • Blackmagic Design: AV1 decode crash [5671098]

KitGuru says: Are you planning on downloading the new driver ASAP, or will you wait a few days to see how it goes?

Nintendo Indie World Showcases goes live later today

3 mars 2026 à 13:30

While fans have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of a brand new first-party Nintendo Direct showcase, the console maker has seemingly been doing everything but; having gone live with a partner showcase, a Nintendo Treehouse stream, and now an Indie World event. Set to go live later today, the relatively short presentation will include 15 minutes of new and upcoming Switch releases.

Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, the official Nintendo UK page shared the following: “Join us, March 3rd at 14:00 (UK time) for a new #IndieWorld Showcase! Tune in for roughly 15 minutes of news and updates on indie games coming to #NintendoSwitch2 and #NintendoSwitch.”

While quite a short showcase, Nintendo’s Indie Worlds are typically rather rapid in their announcements, and so it is possible we will still get quite a few notable titles unveiled.

Curiously, the Japanese version of the showcase is set to be 10 minutes longer, landing at roughly 25 minutes long, suggesting that it could include a number of region-exclusive releases.

As mentioned, many fans have been waiting for the official announcement of a new mainline first-party Nintendo Direct, and so the confirmation of an Indie World instead could be disappointing.

That said, indies are the lifeblood of the industry, and so it is always interesting to see what these smaller teams have been cooking up. The Indie World showcase goes live later today at 2PM UK time.

KitGuru says: Are you excited for the Indie World showcase? When do you think we’ll get the next mainline Direct? Let us know down below.

Testing and Performance

Geekbench 6 Multi Core

in Geekbench 6 Multi Core we see the Asus Zenbook Duo performing well, with the Intel Core Ultra X9 388H some 30% ahead of the previous Core Ultra 9 285H.

Cinebennch 2026 Multi Core

It is a slightly different story in Cinebench 2026 Multi Core where we again see the new Intel Panther Lake wreck the previous Lunar Lake, however the top honours go to AMD with the mighty Strix Halo in the HP Zbook Ultra G1a.

Cinebench 2026 Multi Core points per Watt

Our Cinebench 2026 power efficiency calculation shows the amazing efficiency of Intel's new Core Ultra X9 388H which has good performance and very low power draw.

Far Cry 6 at 2,880×1,800 with FSR Performance Mode

In Far Cry 6 at the massive resolution of 2,880×1,800 running on the Ultra preset we used the FSR Performance Mode and saw average frame rates north of 70fps. This is remarkable performance from Intel's latest iGPU and it looks great on the Asus OLED screen.

Cyberpunk 2077 at 1,920×1,200 with Frame Gen Enabled

Cyberpunk 2077 is a stiff test with the Ultra preset, but running at 1,920×1,200 with Frame Gen Enabled we saw excellent frame rates from the Asus Zenbook Duo. Having said that, the HP Zbook Ultra G1a smashed it out of the park.

Battery Life

Battery life is a critical aspect of a laptop and the new Zenbook Duo does monumentally well, running for just under 24 hours. This is a superb testament to both Asus and Intel.

Closing Thoughts

The changes made by Asus to the 2026 version of Zenbook Duo are very good and we love the way the dual OLED screens almost merge into one display. As an added bonus the 2026 laptop is notably more compact than previous versions, and this approach to packing two full sized 14-inch displays into a fairly regular laptop demonstrates some impressive engineering by Asus.

The new Intel Core Ultra X9 388H is an impressive piece of silicon and our first impressions mark the Intel 18A process as a success. The CPU part of the chip has decent performance and requires very little power. In addition the 12x Xe3 graphics core delivers sufficient performance for daily use as well as serious gaming sessions.

You can buy the Asus Zenbook Duo UX8407A for £2,499.99 HERE

Pros:

  • The dual 14-inch OLED screens are superb.
  • Battery life is monumental.
  • Intel 12x Xe3 graphics are impressive.
  • Intel Panther Lake CPU is good.

Cons:

  • Zenbook Duo is somewhat chunky and slightly heavy.
  • Price is high.
  • Ports and connectors are rather close together.

KitGuru says: The latest version of Asus Zenbook Duo comes with Intel Core Ultra X9 and delivers a superb experience.

Starfield comes to PS5 on the 7th of April, according to leakers

3 mars 2026 à 12:00

For the past year or so, we’ve been hearing an increasing number of leaks and rumours claiming that Bethesda Game Studio’s somewhat contentious Starfield would be leaving its Xbox console exclusivity behind with an impending arrival on PlayStation 5 (and possibly Switch 2). Though yet to be officially announced, known insiders have now offered what appears to be finalised details for Starfield’s PS5 launch, including its price and release date.

As reported by BillBil-Kun via dealabs (who has accurately reported on a bunch of PlayStation-related releases in the past), Starfield is set to land on PlayStation in just over a month’s time – launching on the 7th of April 2026.

The game will reportedly come in two forms – a Standard Edition costing £44.99 and a Premium Edition for £59.99, both of which will be offered in disc form. The contents of the Premium Edition is currently unknown, however Billbil confirmed that there is no advanced access planned for those with the Premium version.

Starfield PlayStation

While not included as part of the report, it is highly likely that Bethesda will launch Starfield's long-awaited 2.0 patch at or around the same time. The exact specifics surrounding this update remains somewhat vague, however Todd Howard himself has told fans to keep their expectations in check.

Starfield is easily one of the Bethesda Game Studios’ most controversial titles (Fallout 76 aside) and while the game has seen some improvements since its initial release back in 2023, it will be interesting to see how the game performs on PlayStation come its release next month.

KitGuru says: Did you play Starfield back when it was first released? What did you think? Do you have high hopes for the upcoming update? Let us know your thoughts down below.

Blackout-inspired ‘Black Ops Royale’ officially arrives next week

3 mars 2026 à 11:15

Black Ops 7: Season 2 Reloaded is set to be massive for Call of Duty, with the mid-Season update reintroducing the fan-favourite Blackout mode from BO4 – an alternate take on the Battle Royale formula. Ahead of the update’s arrival next week, Activision have shared everything you need to know about Season 2 Reloaded and its Black Ops Royale mode.

Taking to their blog, the team at Activision offered a deep-dive into the new Black Ops Royale mode. Inspired by Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode, this alternate take on the BR formula is set to launch on the 12th of March and offers a ton of changes compared to Warzone – including but not limited to:

  • No loadouts
  • No gulag
  • No buy stations
  • Wingsuits instead of parachutes
  • 5 attachment upgrade paths
  • New backpack menu
  • Lootable perks with no fixed slots
  • Returning equipment including grapple hook and sensor dart
  • Full omni-movement support
  • Cradle Breaches featuring zombies

All of this will of course be taking place on the Avalon map which has so far been used for BO7’s Endgame mode (albeit with some visual changes).

Full details on the new Black Ops Royale mode can be found HERE, but in essence it seems to be sticking surprisingly close to the original Blackout experience.

Over the years, sentiment surrounding Blackout has grown, with many claiming that its biggest issue was being tied to the premium Black Ops 4 – meaning finding matches over time became increasingly tough. With this new Black Ops Royale however being tied to Warzone, it will be interesting to see how the mode is received, especially compared to the somewhat stale Warzone. We won’t have to wait long to find out.

KitGuru says: Are you excited for Season 2 Reloaded? Did you enjoy the OG Blackout back in the day? How does it compare to Warzone? Let us know your thoughts down below.

  • Street Fighter 6
  • Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection
  • Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection
  • Pragmata
  • Mega Man Dual Override

By far the most interesting of these titles is Mega Man Dual Override, with the 2027 game being the first brand new entry in the franchise since 2018’s Mega Man 11. Based on the previous teaser shared, the game looks to follow in the footsteps of the classic Mega Man entries. That said, we will likely learn much more regarding the minutiae of the game during this upcoming showcase.

Aside from a few stumbles (Monster Hunter Wilds), Capcom has been on a generational run, and so it will be interesting to see what they have planned for Mega Man.

KitGuru says: Are you looking forward to the showcase? What are your expectations for the new Mega Man? Do you want them to keep it simple? Let us know down below.
