Brad Pitt's F1 Movie Gets New Poster Alongside Confirmed Summer 2025 Release

5 juillet 2024 à 18:09

Brad Pitt gears up to take to the track in the first poster for Joseph Kosinski's Formula 1 movie, "F1," coming to theaters in Summer 2025.

Apple confirmed the official title of its new motorsports drama on X/Twitter alongside a poster of Pitt in his racing gear, though it only offers a glimpse of his helmet. "Brad Pitt stars in F1, coming to cinemas Summer 2025," the post confirms, adding that a "sneak peek" will arrive on July 7 at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix.

Pitt, who stars as former F1 driver Sonny Hayes, looks to be sitting in his racing vehicle, which features an ultra-seek design with a black and gold color scheme — but not everyone is a fan of it. He looks ready to take his wheels for a spin, but only in a mentorship role for a young racer on the fictional APXGP team.

"[Sonny Hayes] has a horrible crash, kind of craps out and disappears and is racing in other disciplines," Pitt told Sky Sports standing in the paddock at Silverstone last summer. "His friend, played by Javier Bardem, is a team owner. They're a last-placed team... They've never scored a point. They have a young phenom played by Damson Idris. He brings me in as a kind of Hail Mary, and hijinks ensue."

Kosinski has teamed with writer Ehren Kruger, who worked on Top Gun: Maverick, and Jerry Bruckheimer to bring F1 to the screen. He previously revealed that he intended to use practical effects to film F1 rather than relying on CGI, following the success of his Top Gun sequel and its breathtaking in-camera flight sequences.

We'll likely see some of this high-speed driving in action when Apple and Warner Bros. release the first teaser trailer for F1 on Sunday.

Original Fantastic Four Star Jessica Alba Would 'Jump at the Chance' to Join the MCU

5 juillet 2024 à 16:47

Jessica Alba has shared fond memories of playing Sue Storm and says she would "jump at the chance" to reprise her Fantastic Four role.

Alba, who played Sue Storm (aka The Invisible Woman) in 2005's Fantastic Four and its 2007 sequel Rise of the Silver Surfer, told Entertainment Tonight she would be up for joining the MCU as she "loved" her role in Fox's live-action Fantastic Four films — but Marvel Studios has yet to approach her about a return.

"I loved those movies, and [it] also changed my life, that series," Alba said, reflecting on her superhero outing. "No one has talked to me about [a return], but I would jump at the chance... I loved that character, and I felt like she was so unique in the Marvel universe at the time. There weren't kind of female superheroes like her."

Marvel Studios is rebooting The Fantastic Four with Vanessa Kirby taking on the role of Sue Storm alongside Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, who will band together and go up against Ralph Ineson's Galactus.

The Fantastic Four will be a 1960s-period piece set in an alternate MCU timeline, which could set the stage for variant heroes to appear (similarly to the debut of Earth-838's Illuminati in 2022's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness). Julia Garner is reportedly playing "an alternate version" of Silver Surfer, suggesting that this is the version from Earth-X — one of Marvel's most notable alternate realities.

The Fantastic Four will hit theaters on July 25, 2025. That means we have three MCU movies — Deadpool and Wolverine, Captain America: Brave New World, and Thunderbolts — to watch before that date arrives, along with a few Disney+ shows.

Star Wars Actor Temuera Morrison Wants to Star in The Mandalorian After Pedro Pascal 'Stole' Book of Boba Fett Episode

5 juillet 2024 à 14:18

Star Wars actor Temuera Morrison wants to star in The Mandalorian after Pedro Pascal came in and "stole" an episode of The Book of Boba Fett.

According to Yahoo! News, Morrison revealed his plans to take over an episode of The Mandalorian during a recent appearance at MCM London Comic Con. He said he would like to follow in the footsteps of Pascal's Din Djarin, who stepped in and stole the spotlight in Episode 5 of The Book of Boba Fett, 'The Return of the Mandalorian.'

The way he did and came into my show and stole an episode of my show.

"I would actually like my character to visit The Mandalorian, the Mando fort or something, and come in there and kick some real serious a** as well," Morrison said, sharing his hopes to reprise the role of Boba Fett. "The way he did and came into my show and stole an episode of my show — so I'd like to do the same thing."

There is no word on a fourth season of The Mandalorian or a second season of The Book of Boba Fett. The announcement of The Mandalorian & Grogu spinoff movie may mean the former series has ended its small-screen run, even though Jon Favreau confirmed in February 2023 that he had finished the script for Season 4.

News of The Mandalorian & Grogu arrived sometime after that, so the assumption is that the movie is taking the place of The Mandalorian Season 4, at least in the short-term, with Favreau directing the upcoming big-screen adventure of everybody's favorite Beskar-sporting space dad and his trusty sidekick Grogu.

Production on The Mandalorian & Grogu will begin later this year ahead of its release on May 22, 2026, meaning it could wind up being the first Star Wars project to hit the big screen since 2019's The Rise of Skywalker (and the first since Disney revealed that Star Wars movies would be going on a hiatus after The Skywalker Saga).

It is unknown which characters may show up in The Mandalorian & Grogu outside of the titular two, so a Boba Fett cameo is possible, though there are plenty of other movies in the pipeline, including Dave Filoni's New Republic movie, which is said to tie together shows like The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and more.
