Grab a Blazing Fast 4TB PCIe x4 M.2 SSD (7000MB/s) for Only $182.74

Par : Eric Song
17 mai 2024 à 20:50

SSD prices are trending upwards for 2024, so it's much more difficult to find a fast 4TB M.2 SSD for under $200. Fortunately for a limited time, Amazon has dropped the price of the Silicon Power 4TB PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 solid state drive (SSD) to only $182.74 shipped after you apply a 15% off coupon code "U7ZRKH588ANB". This SSD is fully compatible with the PlayStation 5 console, but it also functions admirably as a blazing fast and generously sized boot drive for your PC. This is far less expensive than any other 4TB PS5 SSD on Amazon.

Silicon Power 4TB SSD (PS5-Compatible) for $182.74

The Silicon Power 4TB meets all the requirements for your PS5 SSD upgrade. It supports transfer speeds of up to 7,000MB/s read and 6,500MB/s write which is well above the 5,500MB/s minimum threshold. However, it does not include a heatsink. Compatible heatsinks starts at $7 and they are very easy to install yourself.

If you have a gaming PC, this is one of the best SSDs you can get in terms of speed and capacity at this price point. Windows 11 requires 64GB all by itself. Games require as much or more space than even a gaming console. A 4TB SSD should be able to handle all the apps you'll ever need to install. If you've built your own PC, you might have purchased a motherboard that already has an integrated SSD cooler. If that's the case, you'll be glad that this SSD doesn't have a heatsink pre-installed.

Silicon Power 2TB PS5 SSD with Heatsink for $125.99

This same coupon code works on most Silicon Power SSDs. That means this 2TB Silicon Power XS70 SSD with preinstalled robust aluminum heatsink costs is also on sale. It's $125.99 after the code "U7ZRKH588ANB" is applied, making it the best price we're seeing right now for a 2TB PS5 with heatsink from a brand that we recognize and recommend.

Save 29% Off Super Mario RPG for Nintendo Switch

Par : Eric Song
17 mai 2024 à 18:55

Starting today, Amazon has the excellent Super Mario RPG remake for Nintendo Switch for only $42.90. That's nearly 30% off the original $60 MSRP and the best price we've ever seen. Even better, this game is a physical copy that's sold and shipped from Amazon direct, not a marketplace vendor.

Super Mario RPG for $42.90

Super Mario RPG is a remake of the 1996 SNES classic. It was one of the best games to grace the console back then amidst a sea of other incredible titles, and Nintendo did a great job of staying faithful to the game's charm and fun factor. A whole slew of improvements have been implemented to bring this game up to modern day standards, including updated visuals, music, gameplay mechanics, and several small yet welcome quality-of-life UI improvements. Check out our Super Mario RPG review for a detailed rundown of all of the the changes and our official impressions of the game. Still, it's understandably difficult to pay $60 for a remake no matter how good it is, so a deal like this is certainly welcome.

The Best PS5 2TB SSD Deals (May 2024)

Par : Eric Song
17 mai 2024 à 17:05

2023 and 2024 have shown that 2TB PS5 SSD upgrades are actually worth the price. In 2022, prices for 1TB PS5 SSDs averaged around $150, whereas 2TB SSDs hovered closer to $300. Now, we're seeing 1TB SSDs trickle below the $70 price point and 2TB SSDs can drop to around $100 or sometimes even lower if there's a good sale. It's worth noting, though, that you can't use any old SSD and expect it to perform well on the PS5 console. You'll want to pick up a PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 solid-state drive with at least a 5,500MB/s read speed to match the PS5's internal drive.

TL;DR - The Best 2TB PS5 SSD Deals Right Now

Note that Sony recommends a heatsink attached to your SSD and not all SSDs listed here have pre-installed heatsinks. For the ones that do, we'll be sure to mention it. For the ones that don't, all you have to do is purchase your own heatsink (like this one for $9) and install it yourself. For our top recommended picks for 2024, check out our full breakdown for the Best PS5 SSDs.

Silicon Power 2TB SSD (PS5-Compatible) for $109.99

Amazon Prime member exclusive deal

This is one of our absolute favorite deals at the moment, though it's exclusive to Amazon Prime members. This 2TB SSD is a perfect fit for your PS5, supporting transfer speeds of up to 7,000MB/s read and 6,500MB/s write which is well above the 5,500MB/s minimum threshold. Unfortunately, it does not include a heatsink, but as stated earlier, you can pick one up for just $9 here.

Adata Legend Max 2TB PS5 SSD with Heatsink for $129.99

Amazon Prime member exclusive deal

If you're looking for an option with a heatsink, you can't go wrong with this SSD. This is one of the faster SSDs on the market with read speeds of up to 7400MB/s and write speeds of up to 6800MB/s. Alongside 2TB of storage, it also has a very slim preinstalled heatsink that can slot perfectly into your PS5. Right now, you can score it for an excellent price of $129.99.

Perfect PS5 4TB SSD with Heatsink for $269.99 at Amazon

So we're cheating a little here, but are you looking to completely maximize your PS5 storage capabilities? Then this is the deal for you. For a limited time only, this PS5 4TB SSD is available at Amazon for just $269.99 (see here). It has an MSRP of $699.99 which is rather dramatic, but in reality, this and many other 4TB SSDs have been sitting around $280-$300 recently. The 1TB version is also down to just $84.99 as well. Again, we're unlikely to see better deals than this until Prime Day in the summer.

Fantom Drives VENOM8 2TB SSD with Heatsink for $139.95

Thanks to a $15 coupon that can be clipped on the Amazon store page, this 2TB SSD has dropped even further in price to $139.95 from its usual price of $164.95. Featuring read/write speeds of 7400/6500MB/s, it's a perfect fit for your PS5 that even comes complete with a heatsink!

Silicon Power 2TB XS70 SSD with Built-in PS5 Heatsink for $149.99

This SSD offers 2TB of storage, excellent read and write speeds (read speeds of up to 7,300MB/s and write speeds up to 6,800MB/s), and a built-in heatsink all at a fantastic price. It's currently available for $149.99 on Amazon, 17% off its MSRP of $179.99, so well worth picking up for your PS5.

XPG 2TB GAMMIX S70 Blade PCIe Gen4 M.2 2280 SSD for $149.99

This is another 2TB SSD deal that's well worth taking advantage of. This option from XPG has dropped 29% in price, from $209.99 to $149.99, but you'll have to grab a heatsink to go with it as well (which you can do here for $9). This SSD has read and write speeds of 7400/6800MB/s as well.

WD_BLACK PS5 4TB SSD for $311.75 at Amazon

This is another deal for those looking to maximize their PS5's storage. For a limited time only, this PS5 4TB SSD is available at Amazon for just $311.75 (see here). Normally, it has an MSRP of $699.99, but nowadays, this and many other 4TB SSDs have been sitting around $280-$300 recently. You'll also have to grab a heatsink to go with it (which you can do here for $9).

2024 Crucial T705 2TB SSD for $279.99

This is the newest model from Crucial and it already has an excellent discount on Amazon. For a limited time, you can get 30% off this SSD, bringing it down to $279.99 from $399.99. It's well worth the investment as well, as it offers crazy good sequential read/write speeds up to 14,500/12,700MB/s. If you feel the need for speed, this SSD will certainly get you there.

Crucial T500 2TB SSD with Heatsink for $154.99

Amazon is offering a nice deal at the moment on the Crucial T500 2TB SSD, which is discounted down to $154.99. This SSD has a heatsink all ready to go, so you can install it right away in your PS5, and even offers excellent read/write speeds of 7,400/7,000MB/s.

Samsung 980 Pro 2TB M.2 SSD for $169.99

Samsung SSDs need no introduction. They've made some of the most popular and reliable PS5 SSDs on the market. The 980 Pro has been out for a long time, way back in January of 2020. A testament to its reliability is the fact that Samsung didn't feel any need to release any newer flagship model until 2022. In terms of performance, it's no longer the fastest SSD on the market (the 990 Pro is), but it's still a very fast drive. It certainly more than meets the minimum 5600MB/s speed requirement to be used as a PS5 storage upgrade, with speeds of up to 7,100MB/s.

Samsung 990 Pro 2TB PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 SSD for $169.99

The Samsung 990 Pro is an excellent SSD for your PS5. From a purely performance perspective, it's overkill; the stock SSD in your PS5 will be the limiting factor. You'll want to pick up a PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 solid state drive with a rated 5,500MB/s read speed to match the PS5's internal drive and the 990 Pro is much faster. This one does not come with a heatsink, though, so you'll need to invest in one.

What if the SSD Doesn't Include a Heatsink?

Sony recommends you install an SSD that has an attached heatsink. If the SSD you purchase doesn't include one, it's simple enough to buy one for $9 on Amazon and add it yourself. Most of these heatsinks are just attached using an adhesive like thermal tape.

Budget to Best: PS5 SSDs

There may be other SSD deals out there, but these are the PS5 SSDs we've tried ourselves and highly recommend. They also double up as outstanding boot drives for your gaming PC, in case you don't need additional storage for your PS5 console.

How To Install a New PS5 SSD

It's extremely easy! Removing the case cover is completely toolless. In fact, the only screw you have to remove is the one that keeps the cover for the SSD bay in place. You don't even put it back when you're done. Sony has a quick and easy YouTube video guide.

The New White SteelSeries Nova Pro Wireless Gaming Headset Is on Sale at Amazon

Par : Eric Song
17 mai 2024 à 01:25

The Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro wireless gaming headset has been out for a few years now, but only in black. For those of you looking for something brighter, Steelseries just released a new white colorway and Amazon currently has it on sale for $285.92 (normally $350). This is technically the Xbox model, which is a good thing because only this particular variant is compatible with the Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and PC. The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro is rated the best gaming headset of 2024, and as someone who owns and uses this headset on a daily basis, I wholeheartedly agree.

New White Model Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless Gaming Headset for $285.92 (Normally $350)

The Arctis Nova Pro is the highest-end gaming headset in Steelseries' repertoire. It combines excellent sound quality with comfortable ergonomics, a high-performance mic, and unique yet extremely practical features. One of the biggest standout features of the SteelSeries Nova Pro wireless headset is the ingenious hot-swappable battery system. SteelSeries was generous enough to includes two batteries; one that's in use in your headset and the other that's charging in the separate DAC controller. This way you'll get the best of both worlds: glorious wireless freedom and no waiting to recharge.

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro is also one of few wireless gaming headsets with built-in active noise cancellation. It doesn't cancel out noise as well as dedicated noise-cancelling headphones, but it's still capable enough to isolate distractions to your gaming sessions like the noises coming from your PC when it's running at 100% with all fans at full tilt.

Some other welcome features include adjustable telescoping arms (in addition to the elastic headband) and leatherette ear cushions for a better customized fit. The earcups are smaller in size so that they can easily create a seal around your ears for better noise isolation and thus better audio quality. In terms of wireless connectivity, the Nova Pro connects to both 2.4GHz WiFi as well as Bluetooth. In fact, you can utilize both connections simultaneously, for example to your PC and to your phone.

You can read our IGN SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro review to read more about why we think this is the best gaming headset you can buy. Keep in mind we wrote this review with the mindset that this is priced at $350.

This Powerful Alienware Aurora R15 RTX 4080 Gaming PC Is Down to $1935

Par : Eric Song
16 mai 2024 à 23:25

Dell is currently offering this Alienware Aurora R15 RTX 4080 gaming PC for only $1934.99 after a $200 instant discount and extra 10% off coupon code "10AMD". The RTX 4080 GPU is one of the most powerful graphics cards available and will allow you to comfortably run any game out there at 4K resolution.

Alienware Aurora R15 RTX 4080 Gaming PC for $1935

This particular config features an AMD Ryzen 7 7700 CPU, GeForce RTX 4080 GPU, 64GB of DDR5-4800MHz RAM, and a 512GB SSD. It's all powered by a 750W 80PLUS Platinum power supply. The AMD Ryzen 7 7700 CPU boasts a max boost clock of 5.3GHz with 8 cores, 16 threads, and a 32MB L3 cache. It's cooled by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooling system that exhausts the hot air out of the case.

The RTX 4080 is one of the most powerful GPUs on the market. On the AMD front, only the Radeon RX 7900 XTX can keep up (and that's if you ignore DLSS and ray tracing). You'll be able to run any currently released game at 60+ fps at 4K resolution. Like all RTX 40 series GPUs, it supports DLSS 3.0 and it's better than AMD GPUs at ray tracing. It's actually only 20%-30% slower than the RTX 4090 while costing hundreds of dollars less. Check out our RTX 4080 review.

Why Pick a Dell or Alienware Gaming PC?

Not everyone is the DIY type, and these days prebuilt gaming PC aren't that much more expensive than building your own computer. In fact, depending on the demand of certain components like the GPU, it might even be cheaper. Alienware gaming laptops and desktops offer a staggering array of options, all built into a custom chassis that's both easy on the eyes and easy on the wallet. The newest Alienware gaming PCs have significantly improved their cooling performance, especially when paired with a liquid cooling solution. Alienware gaming laptops in recent years have been redesigned to be thinner and lighter while still offering the same immense power under the hood. Consistent build quality, available inventory, frequent sales, and solid customer service are the main reasons why Dell is one of our picks for best prebuilt gaming PCs.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER GPU Is Actually Discounted (Below MSRP) at Dell

Par : Eric Song
16 mai 2024 à 22:25

Only recently has the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER graphics card dropped back down to its original launch price of $999.99, but we haven't yet seen an actual discount... until today. Dell is currently offering a PNY GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16GB Verto OC video card for $949.99, a discount of $50. This is easily the most powerful GPU you'll find for under $1K.

PNY GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER GPU for $949.99

It's not a surprise that the RTX 4080 SUPER is so popular. At MSRP, it's $200 less expensive than the RTX 4080 it replaces while also being 5%-10% faster in performance. It also handily beats out AMD's most powerful card, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, espeically with both DLSS 3.0 and ray tracing enabled. It still has a long way to go to compete with the $1600 RTX 4090 GPU, but this card gives you more than enough horsepower to handle any game in 4K. Check out our RTX 4080 SUPER review for benchmarks and a deeper dive into its upgrades over the RTX 4080, but sufficed to say, the main reason to get this GPU over the 4080 is the price drop. Paying higher than MSRP negates most of the advantage.

This 2TB PS5 Compatible SSD Is Only $109.99

Par : Eric Song
16 mai 2024 à 19:55

SSD prices are trending upwards for 2024, so it's much more difficult to find a PS5 compatible 2TB M.2 SSD for the same low prices we saw last year. Even so, Amazon Prime members can pick up a Silicon Power 2TB PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 solid state drive (SSD) for only $109.99 shipped. This is one of the lowest prices we've seen this year for a PS5-compatible SSD.

Silicon Power 2TB SSD (PS5-Compatible) for $109.99

Amazon Prime member exclusive deal

The Silicon Power 2TB meets all the requirements for your PS5 SSD upgrade. It supports transfer speeds of up to 7,000MB/s read and 6,500MB/s write which is well above the 5,500MB/s minimum threshold. However, it does not include a heatsink. Compatible heatsinks starts at $7 and they are very easy to install yourself.

The PS5 is an outstanding gaming console, but the 1TB SSD is a real bottleneck. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, for example, can exceed 200GB alone. NBA 2K23 weighs in at 150GB and even older games like God of War: Ragnarok and Horizon Forbidden West require 90GB of space. Future games like Grand Theft Auto VI will undoubtedly demand even more space.

If you have a gaming PC, this SSD would make a great boot drive. There are faster drives out there, but for OS and general app performance, you won't notice any real world performance difference compared to this drive, which is already very, very fast. The capacity is also ideal. For most people, a 2TB SSD should be enough to cover your OS, apps, and games. A 4TB would be even better, but it would run you over $200. Instead, put all of your other files on a bigger, cheaper, traditional hard drive and you're set.

A 2TB PS5 SSD with preinstalled heatsink costs $129.99

Installing your own heatsink is very, very easy. However, if you don't want to get your hands dirty, there's an A-Data Legend 960 Max 2TB SSD that's currently on sale for Amazon Prime memberes for $129.99. It has a robust aluminum heatsink pre-installed and it's definitely fast enough for your PS5 console.

One of the Best Anker Power Banks for Steam Deck Is on Sale Today

Par : Eric Song
16 mai 2024 à 02:50

Today, Amazon is offering Amazon Prime members the powerful and high capacity Anker Prime 20,000mAh USB Power Bank for only $89.98, a hefty 31% price drop from its original $130 MSRP. This is the successor to the Anker 737 that we deemed the best Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally charger. It boasts an absolutely massive 200W of USB power delivery to charge all of your mobile devices simultaneously.

Anker Prime 20,000mAh Power Bank for $90

with 200W of USB Type-C Power Delivery

The Anker Prime can be used like any other power bank; it does a fine job of charging any of your standard mobile electronics. However, its main purpose is to charge more power hungry devices like laptops, portable gaming systems, and high end phones. It has two USB Type-C ports and one USB Type-A port. Each USB Type C port supports up to 100W of Power Delivery. In fact, both ports can charge 100W at the same time. If you want to charge using all three ports simultaneously, then the power distribution will be 100W (Type C), 60W (Type-C) and 40W (Type-A). The 20,000mAh is under the TSA's 27,000mAh limit so it can be brought onto airplanes; it can charge a Nintendo Switch OLED about 4 times, iPhone 15 Pro Max about 4 times, Steam Deck about 3 times, and an ASUS ROG Ally about 7 times.

What makes the Prime unique compared to most other power banks is the LCD digital readout which displays a lot of useful real-time information like remaining battery capacity, power input, and power output from each port. The power bank measures 5"x2"x2" and weighs in at 1.2 pounds.

The Anker Prime is an excellent Steam Deck / ASUS ROG Ally charger

The Anker Prime is an outstanding charger for the Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally portable gaming handhelds. The Steam Deck accepts up to 38W of USB Power Delivery and the ASUS ROG Ally accepts up to 65W. That means the Prime can charge three Steam Decks or two ASUS ROG Allys simultaneously at their maximum charging rate. Both the ROG Ally and Steam Deck suffer from a short battery life when gaming on the go. For instance, when playing most games at 60 FPS, you're likely looking at four hours of battery life for the Steam Deck and far less with the ASUS ROG Ally, which is equipped with a measly 2600mAh battery. During our Steam Deck review, we even found games like God of War or Spider-Man would tap out in under 2-hours as well. At the end of the day, you'll never get the full potential out of your Steam Deck or ROG Ally if you're not equipped with a decent portable charger.

The Lenovo Legion Tower 5 RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Gaming PC Is on Sale for Under $1600

Par : Eric Song
15 mai 2024 à 22:30

Lenovo currently has the Lenovo Legion Tower 5i Gen 8 gaming PC equipped with a GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER graphics card for only $1567.49 after coupon code: SURPRISEOFFER is applied (it may already be automatically applied in cart). The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER GPU is powerful enough to run games at up to 4K. Lenovo Legion gaming PCs feature better and more rugged build quality than what you'd find from most other prebuilt PCs. Lenovo does not use many proprietary components, so the PCs are easy to upgrade with off-the-shelf parts. Lenovo Legion PCs come standard with a 1 year warranty.

Lenovo Legion RTX 4070 Ti SUPER PC for $1567.49

The Lenovo Legion Tower 5 Gen 8 is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 7700 CPU, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER GPU, 32GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD. The AMD Ryzen 7 7700 CPU boasts a max boost clock of 5.3GHz with 8 cores, 16 threads, and a 32MB L3 cache. It's cooled by a robust 120mm tower heatsink fan. There are three additional 120mm system fans to maintain proper ambient temps, both for the CPU and the rest of the components. The Legion Tower 5 uses a traditional front-to-back airflow configuration with few restrictions (the entire front grille is perforated) to provide ample amounts of cooling.

The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is about 10% more powerful than the RTX 4070 Ti and 15%-25% faster than the RTX 4070 SUPER. This is an outstanding card for 1440p gaming, and it's powerful enough to handle 4K gaming as well. In fact, this is the least expensive GPU I'd recommend for comfortable 4K gaming, at least from the NVIDIA camp. The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER also increases the GDDR6X RAM count to 16GB compared the the RTX 4070 Ti's 12GB, which means it's a great card for VR hungry apps such as Stable Diffusion.

Why Choose Lenovo?

The Lenovo Legion Tower 5 made it into our list of best budget gaming PCs of 2024. People like the fact that Lenovo does not use very many proprietary components in their rigs, so the Legion gaming PCs are DIY upgrade friendly with easiy obtainable off-the-shelf components compared to some other popular prebuilt PC brands. Lenovo gaming rigs generally also utilize solid cooling, especially for the CPU, even if you opt for the less expensive air cooled option.

Save $630 Off the Most Powerful Alienware m18 AMD-Based Gaming Laptop

Par : Eric Song
15 mai 2024 à 19:50

Dell is currently offering a powerful Alienware m18 18" Ryzen Edition Radeon RX 7900M gaming laptop for only $2069.99 after $400 instant savings an an extra 10% off coupon code "10AMD". This is the most powerful AMD-based m18 laptop that Dell sells right now, and the RX 7900M GPU performs on par with the considerably pricier GeForce RTX 4080 (mobile).

Alienware m18 Radeon RX 7900M Gaming Laptop for $2070

The m18 is Alienware's flagship laptop. This is the biggest Alienware laptop you can buy, with an imposing 18" 2560x1600 QHD+ display and weigning in at 8.9 pounds. It's designed to be more of a desktop replacement than something you carry around to work every day. The build quality is exceptional, with a bead-blasted anodized aluminum chassis and plenty of RGB accent lighting. The Alienware m18 does a great job of keeping the internal components cool, thanks to a Cryo-Tech cooling sytem that incorporates a vapor chamber with quad heatpipes and four system fans exhausing heat out of the case.

Other specs include an AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX CPU, Radeon RX 7900M GPU, 32GB of DDR5-4800MHz RAM, and a 1TB M.2 SSD. The AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX CPU features a 5.4GHz max boost clock with 16 cores, 32 threads, and a sizeable 80MB cache. This is currently the fastest mobie AMD chip available and goes toe to toe with Intel's top-of-the-line i9 Raptor Lake CPU. It's performance is within 5%-10% of the desktop 7950X.

The Radeon RX 7900M is an outstanding mobile GPU whose performance matches that of the GeForce RTX 4080. That's really impressive performace considering the Alienware m18 RTX 4080 model currently costs $2700 (and the coupon doesn't work on that one). The GPU offers enough horsepower to drive any game on the market at 60+ fps on the display's QHD+ resolution. It's also a hard GPU to track down; it launched in October 2023 specifically for the Alienware m18 laptop and currently no other laptop - either from Dell or any other brand - that has the option to equip this GPU.

Save 49% Off the Beats Studio Pro Noise Cancelling Wireless Headphones

Par : Eric Song
15 mai 2024 à 18:15

Beats' flagship headphone has been marked down to the lowest price we've seen all year. Right now Amazon has the Beats Studio Pro wireless noise cancelling headphones for only $179.95. That's 49% off the $350 MSRP. The Studio Pro is the highest end Beats headphone currently available. It sounds as good as other high-end counterparts from Bose and Sony. We deemed it one of the best over-ear headphones of 2024.

Beats Studio Pro Headphones for $179.95

Beats is owned by Apple, and the Studio Pro is marketed towards people like me who want a quality over-ear wireless noise cancelling headphone but also don't want to spend $500+ on the AirPods Max. The Studio Pro offers great audio quality, better than any other Beats headphone, and very good active noise cancellation. It carries over a lot of Apple's trademark features like spatial audio with head tracking, one touch pairing, and "Find My" functionality. It also has a Transparency mode so you can listen to the environment around you without removing your headphones.

The Beats Studio Pro charges via the newer USB Type-C standard and it even has a built-in USB dac so you can listen to lossless audio files over USB. That's a very rare feature for headphones nowadays. Of course you can also choose to listen to your music wirelessly over Bluetooth or via a 3.5mm audio cable. The Beats Studio Pro travels well because it's pretty small, it boasts up to 40 hours of battery life, and the earcups fold in for easy transport in its case.

If you're looking for a smaller earbud alternative, check out the Apple AirPods Pro, which is on sale right now.

The Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K OLED Gaming Monitor Is $400 Off at Dell Outlet

Par : Eric Song
15 mai 2024 à 18:10

Dell currently sells one of the very few 32" 4K QD OLED monitors on the market. The Alienware AW3225QF 32" 4K QD OLED gaming monitor normally retails for $1199.99, but right now you can pick up a refurbished model at Dell Outlet for only $799.99 shipped. Note that it comes with a 90-day warranty. This is one of the best 240Hz gaming monitors as well as one of the best OLED gaming monitors around.

32" Alienware AW3225QF 4K 240Hz QD OLED Gaming Monitor (Refurb) for $799.99

The 32" 4K QD OLED 240Hz panel from Samsung was first unveiled during CES 2024. Previous it was nearly impossible to find a 4K OLED panel in the 32" size... you had to get a much larger monitor like a 42" or higher to get that 4K resolution. A number of manufacturers have announced upcoming monitors that will utilize this technology, but only a few have actually delivered on that promise so far. The Alienware AW3225QF is one such monitor, and it is generally considered one of the best gaming monitors you can get right now.

The Alienware AW3225QF is a 32" monitor with a 3840x2160 true 4K resolution, 1700R curved panel, 240Hz refresh rate, and G-SYNC compatibility. Quantum dot, or "QD", OLED panels are brighter and offer richer colors than traditional OLED panels without losing the incredible black levels and near instantaneous response time that OLEDs are known for. The AW3225QF boasts a 99.3% DCI-P3 color range and is factory calibrated with a Delta E less than 2. It is HDR True Black 400 certified with up to 1,000nits of peak brightness. It also supports Dolby Vision HDR. Connectivity wise, the AW3225QF has two HDMI 2.1 ports (one with eARC) and one DisplayPort 1.4 port, all of which are capable of 4K at up to 240Hz. There are also a couple of USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports for attaching peripherals and a single USB Type-C port for charging.

I personally use the Alienware AW3225QF as my main monitor, both for work and for gaming, and it's a nice upgrade from my converted LG OLED TV. It's definitely the best monitor I've owned.

The Best iPad Deals

2022 Apple iPad Air 10.9" 64GB WiFi from $399

The 5th generation Apple iPad Air was released in March of 2022 with a $599 MSRP. Yes, it's substantially pricier than the original iPad, but it upgrades virtually every aspect of its hardware. It boasts a larger screen size (10.9" vs 10.2") with both True Tone and P3 wide color. It has the same powerful Apple M1 chip found in the 2021 iPad Pro. Despite the more powerful hardware, the iPad Air is roughly the same size as the 10.2-inch iPad, thanks to the slimmer bezel, and weighs less. There's even a universal USB Type-C port.

2021 Apple iPad (9th Gen) 10.2" 64GB for $249

Amazon is offering the 2021 Apple iPad 10.2" Wi-Fi 64GB tablet for only $249. This iPad normally retails for $329, so you're saving about 24%. Even at its $329 MSRP, the 2021 Apple iPad is $120 cheaper than the 2022 Apple iPad, $170 cheaper than the iPad Mini, $270 cheaper than the iPad Air, and $470 cheaper than the iPad Pro.

2021 Apple iPad Mini 8.3" 64GB WiFi from $399.99

The iPad Mini may be the most diminutive tablet of the bunch, but that doesn't mean it's gimped in any way. Although it was released back in 2021, the newest generation Apple iPad Mini is still more powerful than the standard sized iPad that was release in late 2022. The iPad Mini features an 8.3" Liquid Retina display with True Tone and Wide Color, a very capable A15 Bionic processor, universal USB Type-C port for fast charging, and Apple Pencil 2 compatiblity. If you're looking for the most portable iPad, the iPad Mini is your pick.

2022 Apple iPad (10th Gen) 10.9" 64GB WiFi for $334

The 2022 Apple iPad had a price hike, from an MSRP of $329 for the 2021 model to an MSRP of $449 for the 2022 model, which was released at the end of October 2022. It currently has a nice discount at Amazon down to $334. This new iPad benefits from several upgrades, including a newer A14 Bionic chip, larger and nicer 10.9" display, a better camera, a fingerprint sensor, and the USB Type-C port now replacing the Lightning port.

The Best Gaming PC Deals Today: Get An RTX 4080 SUPER Gaming PC for $2399.99

Par : Eric Song
15 mai 2024 à 16:52

For most PC gamers, buying a prebuilt gaming rig is far more attractive than it used to be. Years ago, it was inarguably cheaper to build your own gaming PC than to buy a boutique gaming rig. That's not the case anymore. It's not uncommon for major brands like Alienware, HP, and Lenovo to offer quality pre-built PCs for cheaper than the cost of building your own PC with the exact same specs.

We've compiled a list of the best current gaming PC deals, both from the manufacturers themselves like Dell (Alienware), HP, and Lenovo, as well as from reliable 3rd party retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart. These PCs are significantly discounted from their normal retail price and are going to be less expensive than comparable models from other brands.

Alienware RTX 4080 SUPER Gaming PC for $2399.99

Alienware Aurora Ryzen RTX 4090 Gaming PC $2519.99

Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 4090 Gaming PC for $3199.99

Alienware Aurora R15 RX 7900 XTX Gaming PC for $1889.99

More Dell and Alienware Gaming PC Deals

If you're in the market for a prebuilt gaming PC, Dell is one of the brands we'd recommend. Alienware gaming desktops offer a staggering array of options, all built into a custom chassis that's both easy on the eyes and easy on the wallet. Consistent build quality, available inventory, frequent sales, and solid customer service are the main reasons why Dell is at the top of our buying list.

Alienware RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Gaming PC for $1799.99

Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 4070 SUPER Gaming PC for $1899.99

Dell XPS i7 RTX 4060 Ti Gaming PC for $1099.99

More HP Gaming PC Deals

Of the big three OEM PC manufacturers, HP usually offers the lowest price on equivalently configured items. HP carries several different models of gaming PCs depending on how much power you need. At the upper end of the scale, the HP OMEN 45L offers a massive tower chassis with space for up to a 360mm all-in-one liquid cooler as well as a total of four additional 120mm case fans for ventilation. This is also the only model that can be configured with the latest RTX 40 series GPUs. On the other end of the scale, the HP Victus, Eny, and OMEN 25L gaming PCs feature understated aesthetics and a bargain price point. These PCs can still be configured into formidable gaming rigs.

HP OMEN 45L RTX 4060 Ti Gaming PC for $1599.99

HP OMEN 40L RTX 4070 SUPER Desktop for $1949.99

HP OMEN 40L GeForce RTX 4060 Gaming PC for $799.99

More Lenovo Gaming PC Deals

Lenovo Legion gaming PCs may be the priciest of the big three OEM manufacturers, but they are also generally the highest praised among gamers and reviewers alike. The Legion gaming PCs are highly rated for their build quality. People like the fact that Lenovo does not use proprietary components in their rigs, so they're much easier to upgrade with easily obtainable, off-the-shelf components compared to some other popular prebuilt PC brands. Lenovo gaming rigs generally also utilize solid cooling, especially for the CPU, even if you opt for the base models.

Lenovo Legion Tower 7i Gen 8 (Intel) with RTX 4080 Super for $2469.99

Lenovo Legion Tower 5 Gen 8 (AMD) with RTX 4070 Super for $1415.49

Lenovo Legion Tower 5 Gen 8 (AMD) with RTX 4070 Ti Super for $1567.49

Things to Consider When Buying a Gaming PC

Which video card is enough for me?

As a general rule of thumb, you want to size your gaming rig based on (1) the resolution, not size, of your monitor and (2) the games you play. A 4K monitor has 2.25 times more pixels than a QHD (2560x1440) monitor and 4 times more pixels than a 1080p (1920x1080) monitor. Simply put, the more pixels on your monitor, the more power your GPU needs. Some games are also more performance intensive than other games, but that's often scalable by tweaking your settings. This is a rough recommendation:

  • 1080p - RTX 3060 to RTX 3060 Ti (RX 6600 XT to RX 6700 XT)
  • QHD - RTX 3060 Ti to RTX 3080 (RX 6700 XT to RX 6900 XT)
  • 4K - RTX 3080 to RTX 4090 (RX 6900 XT)

If you have a gaming PC already and want to simply upgrade the GPU yourself, check out our picks for the best graphics cards in 2024.

Console vs Gaming PC?

Consoles may have come a long way in terms of graphical improvements, but gaming PCs still remain uncontested when it comes to absolute technical performance. A PS5 or Xbox Series X might be the most powerful consoles ever created, but they seem antiquated compared to the likes of a PC equipped with GeForce RTX 4080 or 4090 video card. Unlike consoles, gaming PCs are also infinitely backwards compatible, and the thousands upon thousands of games available at your disposal via Steam, Xbox Live, Origin, Battle.net, and more puts any console library to shame. Even better, most games that are released for the current gen consoles are often also available for the PC as well, often with even more extensive customization and graphics options.

Gaming PC vs Gaming Laptop?

Gaming laptops have become more and more popular in recent years, but they certainly don't make gaming PCs obsolete. First and foremost, a gaming laptop simply isn't as powerful as an equivalently priced gaming PC. Gaming laptops requires more delicate (and thus more expensive) engineering; because the laptop is such a compact form factor, and gaming components generally draw a lot of power and heat, compromises need to be made. The most powerful gaming laptops are about as powerful as a mid-range gaming PC. The highest end gaming PCs use video cards that are larger and heavier than your average laptop and can draw up to 600W of power all by itself. If you're on the fence between getting one of the other, you will have to weigh your priorities. If you want to know more, check out our in-depth article on the gaming laptop vs gaming desktop dilemma. If price isn't a factor and you're only concerned about getting the best PC for your needs, check out our picks for best gaming PCs of 2024. The New Steelseries Arctis Nova 5 Wireless Gaming Headset Is Now Available

Par : Eric Song
15 mai 2024 à 00:20

It has been a while since Steelseries has released a new lineup of their well-rated gaming headsets, but the time has finally come. Steelseries has just released the new Arctis Nova 5 wireless gaming headset. The Nova 5 boasts a retail price of $129.99. That's $50 less expensive than the Nova 7 while retaining most of the features we love. More importantly, the Nova 5 is the first Steelseries headset to support on-the-fly Sonar audio presets on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S gaming consoles.

New Release: Steelseries Arctis Nova 5 Gaming Headset

For the first time, console gamers can quickly and easily select different audio presets on the fly much like their PC brethren. The new Arctis Nova 5 is compatible out of the box with Steelseries' new mobile app. Much like the Sonar software that PC users have used to customize their game audio profiles, this companion app allows PS5 and Xbox gamers to choose different audio presets depending on the game they're playing. Over 100 different presets are already available at launch. The way you want your audio tailored for an FPS, for example, is definitely not the same way you want your action adventure or RPG to sound. Many of these presets have been optimized by the actual devs, so you're listening to the game as it was intended. The app installs on your smartphone and the changes you make are applied in real time. You don't even have to quit out of your game for the changes to take effect. Currently this app is only compatible with the Nova 5, so existing Nova 7 or 7 Pro owners are out of luck.

Hardware wise, the Arctis Nova 5 looks and feels pretty similarly to the Nova 7. To keep the price point down, there are some features that are removed compared to the Nova 7. The headband is comprised of a plastic instead of steel core, probably the only downgrade that's really worth mentioning. Although the Nova 5 supports both WiFi and Bluetooth, you can't have both enabled simultaneously. And finally, the unique detachable earcup covers aren't compatible.

In terms of ergonomics, the Nova 5 has the same suspension headband and air-weave cushions that makes the Nova 7 so comfortable. Sound quality is largely identical as well, thanks the the same 40mm neodymium drivers with 360-degree spatial support. Other creature comforts include a fully retractable boom mic, on-ear controls, USB Type-C charging port, and both 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth connectivity. The Nova 5 does improve on the battery life; Steelseries claims 60 hours, versus the approximately 40 hours on the Nova 7. That's really impressive and the only thing that would make it better would be hot swappable batteries (like the $350 Nova Pro). At $129.99, the Nova 5 has just about everything you'd want from the Nova 7 and leaves out everything you probably won't even use.

We Love Steelseries Headsets

We picked both the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 and the Nova Pro as two of the best wireless gaming headsets of 2024. We also included Steelseries in our best Xbox headsets, best PS5 headsets and best PC headsets roundups. I myself own and use the Nova Pro as my daily driver after going through several headsets over the years, and it's easily the best one I've used. Unfortunately, these two headsets are expensive: the Pro (wireless) retails for $350 and the Nova 7 for $180. The Nova 5 at $129.99 is a better value for most.

Save Over $1,100 Off Alienware's Most Powerful AMD-Based Gaming PC

Par : Eric Song
17 mai 2024 à 18:10

Dell has a great deal on an Alienware gaming PC equipped with the most powerful AMD GPU on the market. Right now you can pick up an Alienware Aurora R15 Ryzen Edition Radeon RX 7900 XTX Gaming PC for only $1934.99 after a 10% off code "10AMD" is applied. This is an outstanding deal for anyone looking to get a tremendously powerful gaming PC without paying NVIDIA prices.

Alienware Aurora R15 RX 7900 XTX Gaming PC for $1935

The full specs include an AMD Ryzen 9 7900 CPU, Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPU, a very generous 64GB of DDR5-4800MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVME SSD. The Ryzen 9 7900X features a max boost clock of 5.4GHz with 12 cores, 24 threads, and 76MB of total cache. This is one of the highest end gaming and workstation combo chips from AMD. It's cooled by a Cryo-Tech Edition 240mm all-in-one liquid CPU cooler and three additional 120mm system fans. The entire system is powered by a beefy 1350W 80PLUS Platinum certified power supply.

The Radeon RX 7900 XTX is AMD's flagship card, and it's mean enough to challenge the crazy powerful GeForce RTX 40 series cards. When you look at raw benchmarks (without ray tracing or DLSS), the RX 7900 XTX actually edges out the GeForce RTX 4080 in several games. This card won't break a sweat in 4K gaming, even at 60+ fps. Note that if you do want to enable ray tracing, you're better off going with NVIDIA. That is one feature that NIVDIA does better, but you'll definitely be paying a lot more for what is, in my opinion, a neglible improvement. You can read our Radeon RX 7900 XTX review for more details on the GPU.

Best AirPods Deals Ahead of Memorial Day (May 2024)

Par : Eric Song
14 mai 2024 à 19:00

Apple AirPods are renowned for their popularity and practicality. They boast a sleek design, snug fit, and impressive sound quality, making them ideal companions for various activities like mowing the lawn, hitting the gym, or tackling household chores. Additionally, they're often available at discounted prices, particularly leading up to Memorial Day, provided you know where to look.

For those interested, we've curated the top Apple deals currently available, featuring AirPods 2nd Gen starting at $79.99 and AirPods Pro at $189.99. However, if you're open to exploring alternatives outside the Apple ecosystem, we've compiled recommendations for the best wireless earbuds of 2024 as well. For now, here are all the best AirPods deals available today.

TL;DR - Best AirPods Deals

Best AirPods Pro Deals

AirPods Pro (2nd Gen) distinguishes itself with a USB-C charging port, departing from the Lightning port utilized in its predecessor. This transition mirrors Apple's strategy seen in recent releases like the iPhone 15 and the latest iPads. Notably, "True wireless" earbuds epitomize cable-free convenience, eliminating even the cords connecting each earpiece. This design not only reduces the risk of dislodgement but also permits individual use if needed. Moreover, boasting exceptional sound quality, the AirPods Pro stands out as the sole AirPods variant equipped with active noise-canceling technology.

Cheapest AirPods Deals

If you're keen to hop aboard the AirPods trend without breaking the bank, take a peek at this offer for the 2nd generation Apple AirPods. Whether the added perks like spatial audio and enhanced battery life justify the higher price point is entirely up to you. However, at $79.99, you're snagging authentic AirPods earbuds that deliver nearly identical sound quality to the latest generation. Plus, should you misplace one, the loss won't sting quite as much.

Best AirPods Max Deal

If you lean towards over-ear headphones over earbuds, rejoice! The Apple AirPods Max are presently enjoying a modest discount on Amazon. Typically priced at a substantial $549, they're presently available for $449.99, allowing you to pocket $99.01 in savings. Their value is undeniable, boasting top-notch audio quality courtesy of the Apple H1 chip, Active Noise Cancellation, a generous battery life of up to 20 hours, a comfortable build, and a host of other impressive features.

Best AirPods (3rd Gen) Deals

Apple's third-generation AirPods bring several noteworthy upgrades compared to the 2nd gen model. One standout enhancement is spatial audio, enhancing the immersive experience by creating a sensation of sound coming from various directions. Additionally, the inclusion of adaptive EQ adjusts the audio output based on the unique contours of your ear.

In terms of practicality, the most significant improvement lies in the battery life. These earbuds provide up to six hours of usage on a single charge. Moreover, the case boasts a larger battery capacity, facilitating four additional charges. Consequently, storing your AirPods between uses extends the total listening time to an impressive 30 hours. Here's a nifty tip to check your Apple AirPod battery on any device, even an Android phone.

It also supports quick charging, giving you an hour's worth of use with just a five-minute charge. You can pay $10 more to get the case with wireless charging capability. It works with wireless-Qi chargers, including, of course, Apple's MagSafe charger.

When is The Next Apple Event?

Curious to know what's next in the world of Apple? Apple will be hosting a keynote at WWDC on Monday, June 10, which is well worth keeping an eye on to see what they've got up their sleeve for the rest of the year.

Are AirPods Pro Worth it Over the AirPods?

Short answer, absolutely, especially given the current price points. Here's why:

The AirPods Pro feature active (and passive) noise isolation

The AirPods Pro has a key feature that the AirPods do not have, and that is active noise cancellation. Being able to drown out the background noise while listening to your music is an absolute game changer. Those of you who have already experienced it will probably agree, and those of you who haven't will be in for an eye opening experience.

The AirPods Pro feature a better fit

This one's another obvious win for the AirPods Pro. The AirPods Pro have replaceable silicone ear tips that can be swapped out for different sizes depending on your ear. They also fit snugly in your ear to help create the proper seal for the noise cancellation to work optimally. The AirPods, on the other hand, have no adjustable eartips at all. They rest on the outer rim of your ear and don't stay in place as well as the AirPods Pro.

The AirPods Pro features better sound quality

There are a couple of reasons why, but the biggest reason is, again, the inclusion of adjustable ear tips. Because the AirPods Pro fit snugly in your ear, there's much less sound leakage. That means you'll hear bigger and more nuanced sound compared to a pair of unsealed earbuds that are resting on the outer rim of your ear. The 2nd gen AirPods Pro also features the new H2 chip compared to the H1 chip found on the standard AirPods, which Apple claims offers better audio performance.

This HP OMEN 40L GeForce RTX 4060 Equipped Gaming PC Is Only $799.99

Par : Eric Song
14 mai 2024 à 18:25

HP has an HP OMEN 40L gaming PC equipped with the GeForce RTX 4060 GPU for only $799.99 after a $670 off instant discount. These is a solid gaming desktop PC with good components and cooling like an Intel Core i5 CPU with heatpipe cooler, an Intel Z790 motherboard, Kingston FURY RAM, WD Black PCIe SSD, and an 800W 80PLUS Gold power supply, all housed in an elegant tempered glass and steel case.

HP OMEN 40L GeForce RTX 4060 Gaming PC for $799.99

This HP OMEN 40L is well equipped for its price point, featuring an Intel Core i5-13400 CPU, GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, 16GB of Kingston Fury RGB DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 512GB WD Black M.2 SSD. The 13th gen Intel Core i5-13400 CPU features a Max Turbo frequency of 4.6GHz with 10 cores, 16 threads, and 20MB of total cache. This is a good gaming chip that won't bottleneck your RTX 4060 GPU.

The RTX 4060 is considerably more powerful than the RTX 3060 and almost nearly matches the RTX 3060 Ti. I would recommend this card for comfortable 1080p gaming. You could also run games at 1440p with relaxed graphic settings, but at that point I'd recommend upgrading to an RTX 4060 Ti or higher. Because it's a current generation card, the RTX 4060 supports the newer DLSS 3.0 and 3.5 tech. It gives you a very nice framerate boost compared to equivalent AMD cards without sacrificing visual quality.

For those of you on a budget, the RTX 4060 is going to be your best NVIDIA GPU that you're going to find for under $1000, and this HP OMEN is $180 under that threshold. What's more, this is a pre-built HP config with a manufacturer's warranty, so you'll avoid the hassle of building DIY and dealing with component warranties. Check out our best budget gaming PCs of 2024 to see what other alternatives we recommend.

Why Choose an HP Gaming PC?

Comparatively speaking, HP usually has the best prices compared to similar models from Lenovo and Dell. You also get free shipping on all all computer purchases as well as the industry standard 1 year warranty. The HP OMEN line of gaming PCs and laptops feature great aesthetics, premium build quality, and powerful components. We especially like HP's OMEN desktop PCs; we picked the OMEN 45L as our best pre-built gaming PC of 2024 and the Victus 15L as our best budget gaming PC of 2024. At this price, the 40L is actually less expensive than a Victus equipped with the same GPU.

2022 Apple iPad Air 10.9" 64GB WiFi for $399

The 5th generation Apple iPad Air was released in March of 2022 with a $599 MSRP. It's on sale with a hefty $200 discount thanks to the recently announced 2024 iPad Air with the M2 chip. The 2022 iPad Air is still a very relevant tablet in 2023 and a far better value. It features a 10.9" 2360x1640 Retina display with True Tone and P3 wide color and the powerful Apple M1 chip (the newer 2022 model now has the Apple M2 chip). It's considerably more powerful than the iPad, but it's still thinner and weighs less. Like all of the newer iPads released, the iPad Air features the universal USB Type-C connector.

We chose the iPad Air as our best iPad of 2024 because it’s the ideal tablet for both casual and professional use -- from watching videos, listening to music, drawing with the Apple Pencil to getting some work done with the Apple Smart Keyboard Folio or Apple Magic Keyboard.
