A brand-new Pokémon Presents has arrived and, alongside giving us a glimpse at the adventure ahead in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, we were given a new look at Pokémon Champions, a sneak peek at Aardman's Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch'd & Pichu, and even a surprise game called Pokémon Friends that is available right now!
There were a lot of exciting announcements during today's Pokémon Presents, and we're here to break them all down for you in one place!
Pokemon Legends: Z-A Footage Showcases Mega-Evolutions, Team MZ, the Rust Syndicate, Side-Quests, and More
Pokémon Legends: Z-A is headed to Switch and Switch 2 on October 16, 2025, and the latest Pokémon Presents gave us one of our best looks yet at the upcoming title set in Lumiose City. The star of this new footage just may have been Mega Dragonite, who is one of the new and returning Mega Evolution Pokémon that will be featured in Z-A. Mega Dragonite actually takes inspiration from Dragonair with the wings on its head and pearl on its tail.
Mega Evolutions will factor into the story as well, as there will be Rogue Mega Evolution Pokémon who can't contain their own strength for some reason and need to be stopped. Luckily, you won't need to do it alone and can fight these powerful Pokémon with friends you make along the way.
Speaking of friends, we were also introduced to many of the other people we'll be interacting with in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, including members of your team, Team MZ. These new friends include a fashion designer named Naveen and a professional dancer named Lida. Depending on your character, you'll also be introduced to either Urbain or Taunie, who will be an integral part of your team.

Not everyone will be your friend, however, as you just may run into the Rust Syndicate and its boss, Corbeau, as you are competing in the nighttime Z-A Royale event. While Pokemon Legends: Z-A's daytime hours are all about exploring Lumiose City and finding Pokemon to add to your party, nighttime is about battling trainers and climbing the ranks in this competition, and Corbeau is just one of the obstacles that will be in your path.
The city will additionally be home to a ton of side activities, including the ability to change your look at will. If you have a Pokemon like Furfrou, you'll even be able to change their appearance as well. Trainers will then be able to embark on side quests from characters like a detective named Emma and the acting director of Pokemon Research Lab, Mable.

Pokémon Champions Gets a Gameplay Overview
A new gameplay overview for Pokémon Champions was revealed, the upcoming battle-focused game headed to Switch, iOS, and Android in 2026, and it showcased how trainers will be fighting and training their Pokémon teams.
While players will be able to connect Pokémon Home and bring their caught Pokémon into Pokémon Champions, there will be an extensive recruiting system that lets players pick other Pokémon they'd like to test out for a limited time.
