The Fortnite South Park trailer is (officially) here, revealing an all-new short as Butters, Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny all drop in for five-player battle royale matches – a.k.a. Quints.

Epic Games published the full trailer for its South Park crossover content following a leak that wormed its way online earlier today. While the low-quality, unofficial version of the footage did show the Fortnite content in its entirety, there were a few key details saved while players wait for the event to launch this Friday, January 9.

Epic’s official trailer comes in at about two-and-a-half minutes longer than the leaked trailer, with the vast majority of that runtime filled with fresh scenes set in that iconic animated South Park style. The short sees the show’s main quartet back at their computers to play some video games while leaving Butters to sit alone in a lobby, all because he “lowkey” sucks at Fortnite.

“Actually, you just suck at Fortnite,” Cartman quips. “It’s not even lowkey.”

Butters, donning his tinfoil Professor Chaos costume, then uses the power of the Stick of Truth to transform the South Park school bus into a proper Battle Bus that whisks the group away into the world of Fortnite (and Cartmanland). It’s here the group is forced to add Butters to their squad, making for a pretty natural segway for Epic to introduce its big new feature: Quints.

As the fourth graders have proper battle royale mech suit skins built around them, Epic has used the trailer’s description to confirm that Quints is a five-player playlist for players to enjoy until the event concludes February 5. It’s an update that finally brings bigger party sizes to Fortnite after years of calls for increases, though additional details currently remain under wraps.

As for other changes the Fortnite x South Park event brings to the table, the studio has confirmed the crossover’s Born in Chaos pass will be free. This departure from previous mini passes, which typically cost players and included new skins, will now not include the new South Park outfits, instead allowing players to purchase them in the Shop.

The Fortnite South Park event comes to Chapter 7 for one month starting this Friday. While we wait to see how Towelie fits in as a Sidekick and what Easter Eggs Cartmanland has in store, you can see where Epic’s long-running battle royale landed in the list of top-played PlayStation and Xbox games in 2025. Gaming keyboards all do the same job more or less; it mostly comes down to the different type of switches and keycaps you prefer. If you like a low-profile laptop keyboard, Razer Joro is a good pick. If you want clicky button presses, wireless functionality and all the bells and whistles you could possibly want on a keyboard, ASUS ROG Azoth Extreme Wireless is $100 off right now.

A solid mid-range pick would be the Razer BlackWidow V4 Mini HyperSpeed Wireless. It has a massive 200-hour battery with quiet orange switches and pudding keycaps. Again, it really comes down to preference when it comes to gaming mice. I prefer having something I can grip with some curves built into the sides. When it comes to a cheap wired option that's built well and has some RGB to make me game faster, I'd go for Glorious Model D (Minus) at a reasonable $28.68.

Half the challenge of going to the gym is getting into the mindset to get in there and put some graft in; it's intimidating for a lot of people. Kirby Air Riders was officially announced during the April 2025 Nintendo Direct as a follow-up to the 2003 Kirby Air Ride racing game on GameCube. Masahiro Sakurai, creator of both the Kirby series and Super Smash Bros., returns as director of the new game, and has described it as having a similar feel to Mario Kart. As its title suggests, Legacy of the Dark Knight is a LEGO Batman game. While LEGO games used to be a dime a dozen, this Gotham-set one looks to continue the trend begun with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, in that it’s a high quality game that appears to be made with a lot of care.

In fact, it uses some of the same combat elements found in the Batman: Arkham series of games, if you remember those. It also has puzzles to solve and clue-based detective work, which fits with Batman’s character.

The story starts at Batman’s beginning, with Bruce Wayne training with The League of Shadows before donning the cape and cowl. Back in Gotham, he teams up with the likes of Jim Gordon, Robin, Catwoman, Nightwing, and Batgirl (all of whom are playable characters) as he takes on all manner of color villains, from Joker and Poison Ivy to Bane, Mr. Freeze, and more.

Along the way, there’s a heavy focus on collecting things, including 100 suits, more than 20 vehicles, and over 250 props and trophies to display in the Batcave.

The collaborative relationship between LEGO and Nintendo, two world leaders in family-friendly entertainment that operate in the adjacent realms of toys and games, began with the 1999 release of LEGO Racers on N64. At least one LEGO game has been released on a Nintendo platform nearly every year since, and multiple Nintendo-themed LEGO sets have been released each year since they debuted in 2020.

The LEGO-Nintendo synergy has persisted through the Switch era, and with the Switch 2 now out in the wild, we’re looking back on the legacy of LEGO on the Switch.

How Many LEGO Games Are There on Nintendo Switch?

As of 2026, 19 LEGO games have been released on Switch, from LEGO Undercover City in 2017 to the most recent LEGO Party! game in 2025. Of the 19 games, nine are LEGO originals and 10 are licensed collaborations with other intellectual properties.

LEGO City Undercover (2017)

In April 2017, one month after the console’s launch, the series’ first game to hit the Switch was LEGO City Undercover, which is an original LEGO game originally released for Wii U in 2013. It’s based on the LEGO City series of themed building sets and tells the tale of an undercover police officer tracking an escaped prisoner.

LEGO Worlds (2017)

LEGO Worlds is another original game released on the Switch in 2017. Worlds is the most authentically LEGO game available on Switch; it steps out of the series’ usual action-adventure genre into the world of sandbox games (think Minecraft), allowing you to build structures and environments brick by brick.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game (2017)

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game is, as its name makes clear, an adaptation of The LEGO Ninjago Movie. The game and movie, both based on LEGO’s own Ninjago line, were released in the U.S. on September 22, 2017. The action-adventure game features eight locations and several playable characters from the movie.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 (2017)

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes draws characters and locations from Marvel movies and comics alike, with a massive roster of characters that (probably) includes every Marvel hero and villain you can think of. It’s a direct sequel to LEGO Marvel Super Heroes that ultimately pits you against the time-travelling villain Kang the Conqueror.

The first game is also available on the Switch, though you’ll find it further down this list – it wasn’t ported until 2021.

LEGO The Incredibles (2018)

Another LEGO-Disney collaboration, LEGO The Incredibles combines story beats from both movies, the 2004 original and 2018 sequel. The game was released alongside The Incredibles 2 in June 2018. It features over 100 playable characters, including all five members of the Parr family. This game is one of many Disney games currently available on the Switch in 2025.

LEGO DC Super-Villains (2018)

LEGO DC Super-Villains is a LEGO Batman spinoff focused on a collection of villains from the deep history of DC Comics, including The Joker and Lex Luthor. The villains must navigate the internal threat of personality conflict while pursuing the mysterious Justice Syndicate. It’s notably the first LEGO game to center its story around a player-created character.

LEGO Harry Potter Collection (2018)

The LEGO Harry Potter Collection is a compilation of two games: LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 and LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7. The collection includes the complete LEGO Harry Potter experience, pulling characters, stories, and activities from all seven books and eight movies. This collaboration goes hand-in-hand with the many LEGO Harry Potter sets that have released over the last few years.

The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame (2019)

The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame is a movie tie-in that was largely knocked for its lack of originality and innovation. The game blends elements of traditional action-adventure LEGO games with the building elements introduced in LEGO Worlds.

LEGO Jurassic World (2019)

Originally released alongside the movie in 2015, LEGO Jurassic World came to Switch four years later in 2019. It features a 20-level campaign with five levels from each movie that had been released up until that point in time (Jurassic Park 1-3 and Jurassic World). In addition to characters from the Jurassic World movies, you can unlock playable versions of the franchise’s primary directors, Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow.

LEGO Builder’s Journey (2021)

LEGO Builder’s Journey came to Switch in 2021 after debuting on Apple Arcade in 2019. While most LEGO games incorporate puzzle-solving, Builder’s Journey is all puzzles, all the time. It’s a beautifully designed game that tells its father-son story one geometric puzzle at a time.

LEGO Marvel Superheroes (2021)

First released in 2013, LEGO Marvel Superheroes didn’t come to Switch until 2021. It tells an original story with several of Marvel’s most recognizable heroes – Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Wolverine, Captain America, and others – teaming up to foil the apocalyptic plans of Doctor Doom and Loki.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (2022)

The definitive LEGO Star Wars experience, The Skywalker Saga features reimagined scenes from all nine Skywalker movies: the original trilogy, prequel trilogy, and sequel trilogy. Within this sprawling collection are over 300 playable characters, 23 planets, and 100 vehicles. Compared to past LEGO games, The Skywalker Saga moves you closer to the action by shifting the camera from a zoomed-out third-person perspective to a tighter over-the-shoulder view. Considering the sheer amount of Star Wars LEGO sets out there, it's no surprise this made for one of the best Star Wars games of all time.

LEGO Brawls (2022)

LEGO Brawls is the worst-reviewed game on this list, based on Metascore (46). It’s an accessible, Smash Bros.-inspired fighting game originally released for Apple Arcade in 2019. Brawls features well over 100 minifigures/fighters from over 10 LEGO sets, including Ninjago and Jurassic World.

LEGO Bricktales (2022)

LEGO Bricktales is an original, puzzle-based adventure similar to LEGO Builder’s Journey, though on a larger scale. The game takes you to dioramas set in jungles, deserts, cities, medieval castles, and tropical islands. Bricktales was made by ClockStone Studio, the developer best known for its Bridge Constructor series.

LEGO 2K Drive (2023)

LEGO 2K Drive, from prolific sports game developer Visual Concepts, is a racing game set in the open world of Bricklandia. 2K Drive is a robust racing game that features street, off-road, and water races; story, single race, tournament, minigame, and free-roam modes; and a custom car-builder that our review called “excellent.”

LEGO Fortnite (2023)

LEGO Fortnite is a collection of LEGO-themed games housed within Fortnite. Epic Games and the LEGO Group have created several LEGO Fornite experiences since the collaboration was launched in late 2023. Among the current ways to play are a survival-crafting game called Odyssey, an online social RPG called Brick Life, and a level designer called LEGO Islands.

LEGO Horizon Adventures (2024)

The franchise’s latest game is LEGO Horizon Adventures, a collaboration between PlayStation’s Guerrilla Games and English support studio Studio Gobo. It’s a retelling of Horizon Zero Dawn, simplified and sanitized for a wider audience, that leans into the combat and platforming mechanics of LEGO action games before it.

LEGO Voyagers (2025)

The latest LEGO game is a two-player co-op adventure that is short and sweet. In our 8 out of 10 review, IGN praised its meorable puzzle games and fantasticly presented world. It doesn't have the same level of depth as co-op games like Split Fiction, or It Takes Two, but it's a fun game you can play together with someone.

LEGO Party (2025)

The second LEGO game we got in 2025, LEGO Party is, as you might guess, a party game along the lines of Mario Party. IGN's 8/10 review describes it as "Creative, colourful, and a consistent crack up... purpose-built to turn any boring old night into a block party filled with belly laughs." It feaures 60 minigames across LEGO sets from the Ninjago, Pirates, and Space themes. You can also customize your own minifigure and tackle Challenge Zones with up to three friends.

Upcoming LEGO Games on Switch 2

The Switch 2 has officially arrived, but plenty of games are still making their way to the original system. A new Batman game called LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is releasing on May 29, supposedly featuring an open-world Gotham City. We don't know too much more about upcoming games, but on the brick-building side of things, LEGO recently announced a new Smart Brick.

Arc Raiders players hoping for a new game update may not have to wait much longer, as developer Embark Studios says it is “looking into” balance changes for some of its most controversial weapons.

In a public message posted to the official Arc Raiders Discord, an Embark community manager known as Birdie teased the next patch “shouldn’t take too long” to launch “now that the team is back from the holidays.”

There’s no word on when exactly the new Arc Raiders update will be published, but any amount of communication suggesting a short wait is enough to get fans excited. Fans have spent the time since the December 16 launch of update 1.7.0 (a.k.a. Cold Snap) theorizing about what the new year may hold while sharing any new concerns with Embark. Although The Goalie Raider Deck helped tide players over late last month, the lack of a firm 2026 roadmap has left some fans curious about what’s to come.

One player tapped into some of their more pressing issues and shared them with Embark yesterday. They specifically take issue with what they believe is a “lack of urgency” at the studio, calling for communication and tweaks for Stella Montis, cheaters, the skill tree, Trigger Nades, and more. Birdie replied, and while not every point was addressed, it seems Embark has plans to tackle balance changes sooner rather than later – and a Trigger Nade nerf may be on the docket.

“The holidays delayed things a bit, but the dev team want you to know that they are looking into balance, for example, the stitcher, kettle, and trigger nade,” the community manager explained. “Rest assured that we hear you and work on delivering a good gaming experience, things are just not immediate.”

The shape these nerfs will take remains unclear for now, leaving some players concerned that they’ll do more harm than good before actually evening the playing field. It’s also unclear if the next Arc Raiders update will feature some of these teased balance adjustments, but it’s least being looked into as Embark gets back into the swing of things.

Today’s Arc Raiders news is a far cry from the 2026 roadmap fans have been hoping to see. While we wait for something more concrete from the team, you can read about why some fans are expecting to eventually see an Arc Raiders movie and TV show. Another entry in the Wolfenstein franchise may be on the way, according to multiple reports today. Specifically, a Wolfenstein 3.

The possibility was first mentioned by Windows Central today as part of a 2026 Xbox predictions piece, and was corroborated by Kotaku. No hard details were provided, just that the game is in development with Machine Games and, per Windows Central, may be timed to coincide with the already-announced Wolfenstein TV series with Amazon.

This would be Machine Games' first return to Wolfenstein since 2019's Wolfenstein: Young Blood, which saw series protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz's twin daughters searching for him in France and, of course, fighting the Nazis. Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, was all the way back in 2017, so a third Wolfenstein game would be a long-awaited return indeed. Of course, MachineGames has been a bit busy lately, helping out on Doom: Legacy of Rust and developing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Windows Central also suggests the studio may be working on a "Rainbow Six Siege-like multiplayer game."

The Wolfenstein reports also aren't a huge shock, as Machine Games studio head Jerk Gustafsson said just this past September that the series was always meant to be a trilogy, and that "we're not done with Wolfenstein yet." A third game would presumably find a way to wrap up B.J. Blazkowicz's story, and would almost certainly find a way to wrap up the ongoing battle against the Nazis. It's unclear if it would take place before or after Young Blood.

Speaking of Young Blood, we weren't the biggest fans, giving it a 6.5/10 and calling it "an aggressively okay co-op shooter that doesn’t come close to recapturing the joy of its predecessor’s action or its surprisingly interesting characters and story." We did, however, love The New Colossus, saying it's "a fantastic single-player shooter" with "brilliantly written characters and performances" in our 9.1/10 review.

The hype around Heated Rivalry has only continued to grow in the weeks after its Season 1 finale and the announcement of Season 2, continued release of press tour interviews that fans are eating up, and being nominated for the 37th Annual GLAAD Media Awards for Outstanding New TV Series.

Now, stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie will be presenting at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards on Sunday evening, as confirmed by THR.

The Golden Globes are one of many appearances Williams and Storrie have planned, with Storrie presenting at the 32nd Annual Actor Awards (formerly the Screen Actors Guild Awards) on Wednesday, January 7; Williams will have his late night debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon also on January 7, along with a radio interview with Andy Cohen Live on Thursday, January 8; and Storrie will have his own late night debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday, January 12.

Following Episode 5 of Heated Rivarly, which ranks as one of the highest-rated TV episodes of all time on IMDb (it's current rating is 9.9), fans heavily pushed on social media that the show – along with Storrie for his incredible Russian monologue in episode 5 – is Emmy worthy. However, due to the show being funded by Bell Media (a Canadian company) and not co-produced by an American company, they are ineligible to submit for The Emmy Awards – they are eligible for the International Emmy's, though.

When Season 2 was announced last month, Crave shared that Heated Rivalry quickly became its top original series of all time, with its viewership increasing almost 400% within only two weeks of its premiere date.

Creator, director, and writer of Heated Rivalry, Jacob Tierney (Letterkenny, Shoresy), recently discussed the future of the show with EW, which is based off Rachel Reid's Game Changers book series. Tierney said Season 2 won't release at the same time of year as Season 1, as he hasn't begun writing it yet, but that fans can expect it to release shortly after that window – which seems to point at early 2027.

"It's not gonna be two years. It's not even gonna be 18 months, I don't think. So we're gonna go as fast as we can, while ensuring that we're doing as good a job as we possibly can," Tierney said.

Heated Rivalry is slowly being released internationally, with the show currently heading to the UK this weekend, releasing on January 10 on Sky.

The Warner Bros. Discovery board has again dismissed Paramount's hostile takeover attempt, branding it as "inadequate" and a "risk" to the company due to its reliance on an "extraordinary amount of incremental debt."

Paramount would have been forced to incur more than $50 billion in debt to buy the far larger Warner Bros., the latter's board said today in a fresh statement on the matter. This debt would pose "materially more risk for WBD and its shareholders" than accepting Netflix's offer for the company, which Warner Bros. has previously said it prefers.

Much of Paramount's proposed financing to buy Warner Bros. would have come from Larry Ellison, the billiaire owner of software company Oracle, whose son David Ellison is chairman and CEO of Paramount currently. But other funds would have come from elsewhere — including the wealth of royal families in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Abu Dhabi.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (2017)

The first Mario game on Nintendo Switch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, brought together all Mario Kart 8 had to offer on Wii U in one package. The game has gone on to receive a handful of new characters and 48 new tracks through the Booster Course Pass DLC. It is the best-selling title on the Nintendo Switch, partially thanks to a Black Friday bundle that has been discontinued.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle (2017)

A unique partnership between Ubisoft and Nintendo, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle brought together the worlds of Super Mario and the Rabbids. A turn-based strategy system was implemented to allow you to control Mario and friends around each map to take down enemy Rabbids.

Super Mario Odyssey (2017)

Super Mario Odyssey is a revolutionary release that reinvented and transformed the 3D Mario formula forever. You travel with Mario across all sorts of kingdoms to stop Bowser's plans to hold a wedding with Princess Peach. The big new feature of Super Mario Odyssey is the addition of Cappy, Mario's trusty cap. With Cappy, you can capture and transform into all sorts of enemies, allowing for a wide variety of gameplay. It's arguably the best Super Mario game to ever be released.

Mario Tennis Aces (2018)

Mario Tennis Aces was the first Mario sports title to release for Switch. The game had a large focus on its Adventure Mode, which was the first story mode in a Mario Tennis title since the Game Boy Advance's Mario Tennis: Power Tour. Content was released frequently after launch, with a total of 30 unique characters available to choose from.

Super Mario Party (2018)

The first Mario Party title for Nintendo Switch is Super Mario Party, which was coined as a refresh of the beloved series. Contrary to Mario Party 10, this game brought back to turn-based boards for the first time since Mario Party 9. Over 80 minigames are available with a handful of modes to play with friends.

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe (2019)

New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe hit Switch in early 2019. This package combines New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U into one bundle. Between the two games, there are a ton of levels available for you to play through. Additionally, new playable characters Toadette and Nabbit were added to this Deluxe package.

Super Mario Maker 2 (2019)

The exciting follow up to the hit Wii U title, Super Mario Maker 2 implemented new tools like slopes, on/off blocks, seesaws, vertical areas, water levels, and more. Additionally, a style based on Super Mario 3D World is available to create courses with, allowing for items like the Cat Powerup and Clear Pipes to be used. A Master Sword powerup was even added, which transforms you into Link.

Mario & Sonic at The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 (2019)

A staple series with each year of the Olympic Games, Mario & Sonic at The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 released for Switch in November 2019. A story mode featuring Mario, Sonic, Bowser, and Dr. Eggman is available, in addition to online play with events. A total of 32 different characters are available to choose from. It's one of the many Switch Sonic games worth adding to your collection.

Paper Mario: The Origami King (2020)

The main Paper Mario release for Nintendo Switch was released in July 2020. Paper Mario: The Origami King features a unique puzzle battle system that involves rotating rings to line up enemies. Like previous Paper Mario titles, The Origami King was developed by Intelligent Systems.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars (2020)

A collection of three 3D Mario titles, Super Mario 3D All-Stars was a limited release that celebrated the 35th Anniversary. It bundles together Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy into one package. Both Sunshine and Galaxy received substantial resolution upgrades with this collection's release.

Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit (2020)

You might have forgotten about this game, but Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit hit Nintendo Switch in 2020. The game utilizes AR technology to allow you to create Mario Kart tracks in real life with RC cars. The game combines the environment around you with the world of Mario Kart, featuring coins, powerups, and other racers to go up against.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (2021)

The Wii U's 3D Mario title made its way to the Switch in 2021, with an enhanced version of Super Mario 3D World. A new mode, Bowser's Fury, was added as a part of the package. Bowser's Fury brought a brand-new take on the 3D Mario formula, opting for one large, open sandbox environment.

Mario Golf: Super Rush (2021)

Developed by Camelot, Mario Golf: Super Rush released in June 2021. A story mode is featured, where you level up your Mii character across different courses. Multiple new modes were introduced with Super Rush, like Speed Golf where you run across the course to hit the ball into the hole as fast as you can. It's one of the best golf games on the Switch.

Mario Party Superstars (2021)

Mario Party Superstars is a classic take on the Mario Party formula, bringing back older boards from the Nintendo 64 titles. One hundred minigames were featured in this release, with returning favorites from prior games. Additionally, Nintendo and NDcube finally opened up online play for all modes.

Mario Strikers: Battle League (2022)

The first Mario Strikers game in more than 15 years, Mario Strikers: Battle League was developed by Next Level Games and released in June 2022. Plenty of new characters and abilities were made, with eight-player multiplayer added as well. The highlight of Battle League is the Strikers Club, which allows you to create clubs with up to 20 other players and take on competing clubs.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope (2022)

The sequel to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope completely revitalizes the combat system. The game opts for an open approach to combat rather than the Grid system found in Kingdom Battle. New characters like Rosalina and Edge join the battle in an action-packed adventure that spans the cosmos.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder (2023)

Super Mario Bros. Wonder is the latest 2D Mario game in the Super Mario Bros. series. It introduced the Wonder Flower, a unique mechanic that allows everything you know about a Mario level to flip on its head and surprise you. A total of 12 characters are playable through more than 100 unique levels.

Super Mario RPG (2023)

Released in late 2023, Super Mario RPG, is a remake of the classic SNES title of the same name. The wacky and colorful title recreates each of the unique characters, environments, and battles with exquisite detail. Even composer Yoko Shimomura returned to recreate the magical original soundtrack with modern orchestration! If you are looking for a good game like Paper Mario, this is basically the original Paper Mario.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong (2024)

Mario vs. Donkey Kong is a remake of the 2004 GBA game of the same name. It's a puzzle-platform game that brings the the Donkey Kong and Mario franchises together once again for entertaining gameplay.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (2024)

The Nintendo Switch remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is the most faithful remake of the original GameCube sequel to Paper Mario that released in 2004. The graphics are upgraded to give the characters and their environments a bigger pop of color, but the comedy threaded into the game's plot remains a classic. It's arguably the best Paper Mario game there has ever been.

Super Mario Party Jamboree (2024)

The third Mario Party game of the Switch generation, Super Mario Party Jamboree is the series' biggest entry to date with 22 playable characters, seven game boards, and over 110 minigames across its various single- and multiplayer modes. Jamboree notably intrdouces the Jamboree Buddies mechanic, which allows you to compete for companions through more complex minigames called Showdowns.

Super Mario Party Jamboree was also one of the select games that got an enhanced edition for the Switch 2. This enhanced edition is called "Jamboree TV" and incorporates the Switch 2's mouse, voice, and camera features... to varying results.

Mario and Luigi: Brothership (2024)

The most recent Mario game isn't just dedicated to one brother: Brothership launched in November as the first mainline "Mario and Luigi" game from Nintendo since 2015's Paper Jam. With a fresh new artstyle, gibberish voicelines, and even some turn-based combat, Brothership lets you take control of both brothers to restore the land of Concordia. And while our Mario and Luigi: Brothership review did say the game "feels designed specifically for ages six to 12 rather than ages six to 66," that could make this game a great gift or entry point for younger gamers.

Mario Kart World (2025) *Switch 2 Exclusive

The newest Mario game brings us into the world of the Switch 2: a new Mario Kart game launched alongside alongside (and bundled with) the new console on June 5. Mario Kart World introduces free roaming, weather conditions, and double the amount of racers on each track. That means tons of playable characters, including the Moo Moo Meadows Cow.

Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 (2025)

Originally released during the Wii generation, Super Mario Galaxy was, in my opinion, an absolute peak moment for 3D Mario. This peak was somehow surpassed with Super Mario Galaxy 2, which we described as "the pinnacle of Mario games" in our 10/10 review. Now, both games have made their way to Switch consoles in a new bundle with boosted resolution quality, UI improvements, and an in-game music player. Yippee!

Netflix has just released its 2026 slate and it’s pretty stacked. What’s more, it isn’t even the full list, as the studio is planning to add more to its lineup as the year progresses. After all, 2026 has only just begun. Happy New Year to us, indeed.

Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2

Season 2 of the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series will hit the streamer this year, but no word yet on exactly when the next part of the saga will be released. That’s definitely something to keep your eyes peeled for in the coming months, but for now, Netflix has given audiences a new exclusive photo to keep them sated until the official drop. It joins several other first-look photos released from the second season, all of which feature Aang, the series’ protagonist who is known as the last surviving Airbender.

Beef

You read that right. The beef is finally back — and no, we’re not talking The Bear. Season 2 of Beef, the breakout hit dramedy starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong from 2023, will finally air this year on the streamer, and we’ve got a release date for the new chapter of the series: April 16. In case you forgot, Yeun and Wong won’t be returning this season, but only because the show is more of an anthology style series where each season features a new story. This time, Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny are in the hot seat, presumably hanging out the side of their best friends’ rides trying to holler at each other, or something like TLC’s prophetic words.

Bridgerton

The queen is back in town, and the ton is, we can only assume, on fire with romance new and old. Bridgerton is back for Season 4, which will be split into two parts, and the streamer has released a new exclusive photo from the new chapter. The new image features Golda Rosheuvel as the inimitable Queen Charlotte looking devastatingly stylish, which means we’re bound to get some great moments this coming season from the series’ best character. Yeah, I said it. The upcoming season, which is set to follow the exploits of Luke Thompson’s Benedict, will air its first half on January 29 and the second part will arrive about a month later on February 26.

Man on Fire

A new drama series called Man on Fire will make its debut on Netflix some time in 2026, and with a cast stacked like this one, it’s hard not to be stoked for it. The adaptation, which is based on A.J. Quinnell’s book series, will be seven episodes long and stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen ll, Bobby Canavale, and Scoot McNairy. So you know it’s gonna be intense — especially considering it's about a former special forces mercenary struggling with PTSD and to get his life back on track when he’s forced back into the game. No word yet on an exact release date, but Netflix has debuted a sneak peek photo of Abdul-Mateen toting a gun, so like I said, it’s gonna be intense!

Sweet Magnolias

Sweet Magnolias is back for its fifth season, and we’ve got a release date! I know all you Serenity residents have been waiting with bated breath, but you only have to wait until June 11. It’s not tomorrow, but at least the season 5 premiere date is now in sight. The streamer also released a first-look photo for the new season, which features stars JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Heather Headley, and Brooke Elliott, who play a group of lifelong best friends on which the series focuses, embracing against a beautiful outdoor landscape. Is it June yet?

Virgin River

Season 7 of Virgin River is on its way and it’ll be here before you know it. Netflix has announced the release date for the next chapter in the saga based on the best-selling book series by Robyn Carr: March 12. Fans will be able to revisit Alexandra Breckenridge’s Melinda Monroe and her frest start in the town of Virgin River again very soon, but to keep everyone happy until then, the streamer also debuted a first-look image from the season alongside the release date. The picture features Breckenridge’s Melinda standing with costar Martin Henderson as her husband, Jack Sheridan.

Netflix has several major film releases on its slate for 2026 as well. Here’s the skinny on what’s to come.

Enola Holmes 3

Netflix previously announced a third installment in the Enola Holmes film series, which stars Stranger Things breakout Millie Bobby Brown, but they’ve now given fans a new sneak peak photo to get them excited ahead of the film’s summer release. The picture features Brown as Enola sitting on a bed with Louis Partridge as Tewkesbury, Enola’s love interest, holding some sort of small flower in front of her. We don’t have an exact release date yet for the film so it seems some things about this third installment will stay mysterious for a little while — but rest assured, she’s coming to investigate.

Tyler Perry’s Joe’s College Road Trip

Tyler Perry has a new comedy coming to Netflix this year, and the streamer has revealed exactly when fans can expect it to drop, and it’s actually pretty soon: February 13. Other than that, we still don’t know a ton about the project, which is, of course, written and directed by Perry. He also stars alongside Jermaine Harris and Amber Reign Smith. Unlike most of the other projects on this slate, we don’t have any first-look images for the film, so the synopsis will have to suffice for now: “In an effort to teach him about the real world, Joe takes B.J. on a cross-country college road trip where tensions get high but life-changing lessons are learned.”

Little Brother

John Cena and Eric Andre are teaming up to make us laugh with an all new comedy coming to Netflix sometime this year called Little Brother, in which, you guessed it, an accomplished guy’s weirdo younger brother comes back into his life and shakes things up. Cena is seemingly playing the straight man in this one, with Andre taking on the younger brother role, at least that’s the vibe the first-look photo the streamer has just released. Alongside Cena and Andre, Michelle Monaghan, Chris Meloni, Ego Nwodim, Sherry Cola, and Caleb Hearon star. Matt Spicer, who directed the hilarious Ingrid Goes West, takes the helm on this project, which comes from a screenplay by the guys who wrote Yes Man, Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel. No release date just yet here, but we’ll be waiting.

Remarkably Bright Creatures

Where the Crawdads Sing director Olivia Newman is back with a new drama called Remarkably Bright Creatures, which Netflix has announced a release date for. The movie, which is based on the best-selling book, will be dropping on the platform on May 8. It will star Sally Field, Lewis Pullman, and Colm Meaney in a story about an elderly woman who befriends an octopus at the aquarium where she works and has no idea that very same octopus is dead set on solving a mystery that will change her life. There’s no imagery available for the film just yet, but the synopsis is more than enough to keep us excited for the upcoming release.

Swapped

Nathan Greno, co-director of Tangled, has a new animated adventure on the way called Swapped, formerly titled PooKoo. It’s already an exciting upcoming animated offering knowing it's a buddy comedy with Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple voicing the aforementioned buddies, a woodland creature and a bird, who end up body swapping. But now, Netflix has announced that Tracy Morgan and Cedric The Entertainer will star in the film alongside Jordan and Temple. The streamer has also released new images of both of their characters, respectively: Boogle, a fish voiced by Morgan, and Caloo, a prairie dog-style creature voiced by Cedric. There’s no release date for this film just yet, but it’s coming some time this year.

War Machine

Patrick Hughes, director of The Hitman’s Bodyguard, is back with a new sci-fi action experience called War Machine. The film — which follows an elite team’s training exercise gone wrong during the final stages of US Army Ranger selection — has received a release date from the streamer, which will debut it on the platform on March 6. The movie, which Hughes wrote alongside James Beaufort, will star Alan Ritchson, Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, Jai Courtney, Esai Morales, Blake Richardson, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Daniel Webber. No first-look images for this project yet, so it seems we may have to wait the two months to see inside this fight for survival.

The Independent Workers’ Union of Great Britain (IWGB) has asked a judge to grant the fired GTA 6 developers interim relief at a preliminary employment tribunal hearing held in the UK this week. Rockstar Games, which also attended the hearing, has issued a response to the claims, denying a number of points made by the union.

Rockstar has insisted the employees it fired late last year were dismissed because they leaked game features for upcoming and unannounced titles in Discord, not because they were trying to unionize. 34 members of staff at Rockstar were dismissed, 31 in the UK and three in Canada, sparking protests outside the office of GTA 6 developer Rockstar North in Edinburgh, Scotland, and outside parent company Take-Two’s office in London.

The IWGB, which is representing the affected staff in the UK, has refuted Rockstar’s claim, saying that the workers "only communicated in private and legally-protected trade union channels."

On Monday, January 5, a preliminary hearing at the Glasgow Tribunals Centre in Scotland saw the IWGB represent the fired Rockstar workers and make a case for why they should be granted interim relief.

Interim relief is a legal mechanism that can provide workers with support while they wait for a full hearing. This week’s tribunal will decide whether or not the workers will receive the interim relief while awaiting a date for a full trial. If the interim relief is granted, the workers will be put back on Rockstar’s payroll and have their work visas reinstated where necessary.

The IWGB told IGN today that it is hopeful the judge will see it their way, but insisted that if the interim relief is not granted, that doesn’t mean Rockstar will not be found guilty of breaking the law if and when the case goes to trial.

“We hope this week’s tribunal will grant urgently needed relief to the workers whose lives were turned upside down by Rockstar’s brutal union-busting, leaving them and their families without incomes, without secure futures, and in some cases without even the right to remain in the country they have made their home,” the IWGB said in a statement issued to IGN.

“However, no matter the outcome of this interim hearing, we remain confident in the strength of the case we have brought against Rockstar Games. We reiterate our firm belief that Rockstar broke the law when it summarily dismissed 31 of our members, and we look forward now to the day we face them in court for a full and substantive tribunal hearing.

“Rockstar hoped to quickly and quietly wipe out a group of workers who were organising for better conditions. Instead, their dismissal of 31 union members captured the world’s attention and ignited an unprecedented uprising of global solidarity. This case is not just about the suffering of the 31 people who lost their livelihoods in the blink of an eye. This is about the arrogance of a company like Rockstar thinking that its size and profitability grant it an unlimited licence to abuse its workers, and to do so with impunity.

“Whether or not interim relief is granted this week, we will continue fighting in the courts and on the streets until we see justice, for the fired Rockstar workers and for workers everywhere fighting for a fairer future.”

A Rockstar Games spokesperson issued IGN with the following statement on this week’s hearing. In it, the company addressed many of the union’s claims, and claimed the organization lacks any evidence to justify emergency interim relief.

“Rockstar categorically denies the claim being heard in today’s hearing,” the Rockstar spokesperson said.

“We have consistently made clear that we took necessary action against a group of individuals across the UK and Canada who discussed highly confidential information, including relating to game features from upcoming and unannounced titles, in an insecure and public social channel. This was a breach of long-standing and well-understood confidentiality policies.

“This channel contained at least 25 non-Rockstar employees, including employees of competitor game developers, a video games industry journalist, as well as dozens of anonymous, unidentifiable members.

“Meanwhile, employees who posted union-supportive messages, but who did not breach confidentiality policies, were not dismissed.

“We regret that these dismissals were necessary; however, confidentiality is fundamental to everything Rockstar Games does. Global interest in our games is unparalleled. Even the smallest leak of any information relating to our products and practices can cause major commercial and creative damage — as we have seen in the past — and damage the experience of our loyal players and dedicated team. This was never about union membership. We have always taken a zero-tolerance approach to unauthorized releases of information — and we always will.”

Rockstar has indicated to IGN that it believes the IWGB’s claim of “union-busting” is baseless, and that the union has no evidence to support its statements. Rockstar has also denied having a “blacklist” of union members, stressing that at the time of the dismissals, the company did not know whether the claimants were union members, so could not have targeted them.

And, as it has said before, Rockstar employees themselves raised concerns to the company and granted representatives access to the “social” channel, not the Discord channel used for official union organizing. It maintains that this social Discord channel was not private or for employees only, and indeed contained hundreds of users, including employees of competitor game developers, a video games industry journalist, and dozens of anonymous, unidentifiable members. As IGN has also reported, Rockstar has claimed that the union channel mods didn’t know who was in the channel, and that it posed a leak risk.

What about this alleged leaked information? Rockstar believes it to be significant and related to game features around GTA 6. This includes specific game features, comments on the progress of GTA 6 development, and timelines to launch.

Rockstar believes that if the comments in question were leaked they would have been big gaming news and might even have affected Take-Two’s share price. When Rockstar officially announced that GTA 6 would be delayed by six months to November 19, 2026, the market value of Take-Two plummeted $3.75 billion in a single day.

And Rockstar has pointed to its well-established zero tolerance approach to leaks, highlighting that it dismissed a Rockstar employee in Lincoln, UK in April 2025, who it alleged disclosed confidential information about GTA 6 to a third party who published the information to social media, and dismissed an employee in the U.S. in November 2023 and another in India in November 2025 for two separate acts of information leaking.

The hearing comes after UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer called the case “deeply concerning," and pledged that ministers would investigate. The layoffs were raised by Rockstar North's local MP Chris Murray in the UK's Parliament during a session of Prime Minister's Questions that took place late last year.

"The video games company Rockstar in my constituency last month fired 31 employees without providing evidence or union representation," Murray told the Prime Minister. "The [Independent Workers Union of Great Britain] IWGB alleges union busting. Having met Rockstar they failed to reassure me they are following employment law and I share concerns about union busting.

"Given this government is responsible for the biggest increase in workers rights in a generation," Murray continued, "does the Prime Minister agree all companies regardless of profit size must follow UK employment law and all workers have the right to join a union?"

"It's a deeply concerning case," Starmer replied. "Every worker has the right to join a trade union and we're determined to strengthen workers rights and ensure they don't face unfair consequences for being part of a union. Our ministers will look into the particular case that he [Murray] raises and will keep him updated."

In a statement sent to IGN at the time, MP Chris Murray shared detail of his attempts to discuss the matter with Rockstar itself, including a joint meeting alongside fellow Edinburgh MPs Tracy Gilbert and Scott Arthur at Rockstar North's offices, which began with a standoff over the need to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

"The meeting began with us as MPs refused entry unless an NDA was signed, a request they eventually withdrew after being made clear this would not be signed," Murray said.

He continued: "The meeting only entrenched my concerns about the process Rockstar used to dismiss so many of their staff members. I was not assured their process paid robust attention to UK employment law, I was not convinced that this course of action was necessary, and alarmingly, I did not leave informed on exactly what these 31 people had done to warrant their immediate dismissal."

IGN recently questioned Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick on the matter, who answered by defending the company's culture and saying that Take-Two was "incredibly proud of our labor relations."

Details of Fortnite's highly-anticipated South Park crossover have popped up online, with a leaked trailer revealing a first in-game look at Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Cartman and Butters.

All five of the characters will be available as skins, albeit in mech-like suits similar to how Fortnite has previously included other characters of shorter stature (Bart and Lisa Simpson were handled similarly, as was Rick from Rick and Morty).

The trailer also shows off a variety of South Park items available to wield, such as The Stick of Truth and a box of Cheesy Poofs, which look to be a health consumable. An area of the current Fortnite Chapter 7 battle royale Island has also been reskinned, with the existing Wonkeeland theme park now remodelled as "Cartmanland."

One final addition to the trailer is the reveal of Towelie, who looks set to be the latest in Fortnite's growing line of pet-like Sidekicks. The absorbant accessory follows previous licensed Sidekicks such as Groot and Spongebob Squarepants.

The trailer concludes with a player picking up the Stick of Destiny — something that prompts a lightning bolt-like effect. Previous leaks have suggested this item will allow players to control the shape of Fortnite's battle royale storm, though this currently remains unconfirmed.

Another unknown element is how this crossover will be monetized. Unconfirmed leaks have long pointed to the event featuring its own premium mini battle pass — something that Fortnite has offered previously, though not recently. (In particular it'll be interesting to see if this mini battle pass is offered free to Fortnite Crew subscribers, since the membership has previously boasted of including every battle pass within its cost.)

What else might be included in this South Park crossover? Will Satan turn up? How about Donald Trump and his baby? For now, all Fortnite has officially confirmed is that the event will begin this Friday, January 9. Stay tuned for more then.
