10 Best Books Releasing in March 2026 That I’m Personally Recommending

4 mars 2026 à 12:05

It’s another great month for new book releases, with a slew of fantastic stories from some of our favourite authors - such as T. Kingfisher, Ava Reid, and Abby Jimenez - as well as several exciting debuts.

As always, I’ve included a wide array of genres. So, whether you’re looking for a fast-paced YA dystopian, an eerie fantasy, a disturbing psychological thriller, a gothic retelling, or a gory body horror, there is something for every kind of reader.

To the Death by Melissa Welliver

Release date: March 26

If, like me, you’re always on the lookout for books that conjure up a similar feeling to The Hunger Games (or even The Last of Us, according to the Amazon listing), Melissa Welliver’s To the Death sounds like it could fill the void, especially as we patiently - or not so patiently - wait for Sunrise On The Reaping to hit our screens later this year. Add in zombies, and this is easily one of our most anticipated reads of the month.

The story follows Astrid, who is just trying to survive after a virus broke out on the island that she lives on. However, the mainland is watching the island’s every move, turning their lives into a reality TV show. But what does the victor win, you might ask? Well, a ticket off the island. So, when she finds herself paired up with another islander who has secrets of his own, they must fend off the other contestants and the undead, with only one person winning at the end.

Hooked by Asako Yuzuki, translated by Polly Barton

Release date: March 12 (UK), March 17 (US)

From the bestselling author of last year’s smash hit, Butter (which is down to just over $11 at Amazon right now), comes a gripping piece of translated fiction.

Set in Japan, it follows Eriko and her seemingly perfect life. On the outside she has it all - a good family, a beautiful apartment and a stable job - yet no one realises just how lonely she is. It’s because of this that she finds herself turning to a popular lifestyle blog, written by Shōko, for a bit of comfort.

Unlike most people in her country, Shōko not only embraces but highlights her messy life, with her disorganised home and convenience-store dinners taking centre stage. But things take a turn when Eriko befriends Shōko after tracking her down at her favourite restaurant. What happens when obsession and companionship collide? And what will Eriko do to hold onto this new friendship? We can’t wait to see this one pans out.

Wolf Worm by T. Kingfisher

Release date: March 24 (US), March 26 (UK)

After quickly becoming an immediate auto-buy author for myself, T. Kingfisher is back with their first new book of 2026, and in this Southern gothic we join scientific illustrator Sonia as she finds herself at rock bottom. That is until the reclusive Dr. Halder offers her a position illustrating his vast collection of insects. With her moving to his manor house to do so, it almost sounds too good to be true, and that quickly becomes apparent when she arrives.

From the mysterious disappearance of her predecessor, who was also Dr. Halder’s wife, to the bizarre behaviour of the nearby animals, things get weird in a very good way. It’s the kind of story, filled with creepy crawlies, parasitic maggots and wild experiments, that will have you squirming in your seat. Or, at the very least, feeling like you can’t quite shake the feeling of something crawling over your skin.

The Brides by Charlotte Cross

Release date: March 19

Will we ever tire of a good vampire story? We don’t think so. And this month sees an enthralling reimagining of Bram Stoker’s Dracula in The Brides. Weaving together the stories of four women, the three who became the brides of Dracula and the fourth who managed to escape, it leans into the Gothic atmosphere and setting while utilising diary entries and letters to push the narrative forward.

And if you happen to be familiar with the 1897 classic, you’ll also recognise John Seaward, with his perspective coming to the forefront, alongside a toxic sapphic relationship and a journey from London to Budapest that will definitely draw you in.

Innamorata by Ava Reid

Release date: March 17

We’re always excited whenever a new Ava Reid book is announced, and Innamorata sounds like another hit from the fantasy author. The first book in what will be The House of Teeth Duology, it follows the last two living descendents of the aforementioned House, heiress Marozia and her cousin Lady Agnes. And it is Agnes who must avenge her family’s fallen honour by recapturing the secrets of death magic.

To do so, she must marry off Marozia to Liuprand, the heir to the conqueror’s throne. However, things aren’t that straightforward, especially when the one thing that Agnes must not do is fall in love. Yet, the building passion between Agnes and Liuprand could threaten to fell them all.

Nothing Tastes as Good by Luke Dumas

Release date: March 31

If you happen to love a good horror book, and body horror at that, Nothing Tastes as Good should certainly be on your radar. At over 300lbs, Emmett has struggled with his weight his entire life. And it doesn't help that he lives in Southern California where suntanned six-packs are the norm. So, he has nothing - or everything, depending on how you look at it - to lose when he signs up for a clinical trial for the new weight loss treatment, Obexity.

And while Emmett quickly starts shedding the weight, with his life seemingly changing for the better, there are a few side effects. Of course, there’s the overwhelming cravings. Then, is it strange that he can no longer account for long stretches of time, or that some of the people who were particularly cruel to him have started to disappear? At the same time police are hunting for a cannibalistic killer. Surely that’s just a coincidence, right?

This Story Might Save Your Life by Tiffany Crum

Release date: March 10 (US), March 12 (UK)

Blending a few different genres, This Story Might Save Your Life centres around Benny and Joy. Best friends and podcast hosts, they take a deep dive into some of the most outrageous and unbelievable near-death experiences each week, all while adding their trademark life-affirming humour to the mix.

However, when Benny arrives one morning to record their next episode and finds an empty house in complete disarray, with Joy - and her husband Xander - nowhere to be seen, they become entangled in their very own survival story. With Benny being the prime suspect in a case where it’s looking increasingly unlikely that Joy and Xander will be found alive, what secrets have the BFFs been keeping from their listeners, and each other?

The Truth About Ruby Cooper by Liz Nugent

Release date: March 12

We can always count on Liz Nugent to bring us an all consuming and disturbing mystery thriller, and as you might expect from the title, this story revolves around Ruby Cooper. Now, it’s actually quite tricky to sum up or tease this book without giving too much away. All we can really say is that when Ruby is sixteen years old she is involved in a shocking incident that upends and affects her and her family’s life for decades. And what follows is an unflinching tale of trauma, grief and some seriously dark themes.

Let’s just say, it’s the kind of book that will have you simultaneously speeding through it, while throwing your hands up in frustration quite a few times, as Liz successfully introduces yet another character you will no doubt love to hate.

The Night We Met by Abby Jimenez

Release date: March 24

There are so many brilliant romance books being released this month. From Liz Tomforde’s latest sports romance, In Her Own League, to Elle Kennedy’s Love Song and Across the Vanishing Sky by Catherine Cowles. But the one that captured my heart and attention has to be Abby Jimenez’s The Night We Met. And if you’re looking for some serious yearning between the two main characters, look no further.

The story follows Larissa and Chris, who appear to be the perfect match for one another. The only issue, Chris is her boyfriend’s best friend and they both know that if either of them were to share how they feel, or even think about acting on it, it would upend their lives and friendships forever. If only she had chosen to get a ride home with Chris instead of Mike on, you guessed it, the night they met. Can they just be friends, or is the risk of hurting one of the closest people to both of them worth potentially blowing up their lives? It is worth mentioning, that even though this is the second in a series, it can be read as a standalone.

Here's When You'll Be Able to Play Pokémon Pokopia in Your Timezone

4 mars 2026 à 12:04

Pokémon Pokopia — currently the highest-rated Pokémon game of all time — is almost here.

Pokémon Pokopia sees you play as a Ditto that has transformed to look like a human and must shape an empty land into a beautiful space for a variety of Pokémon. You'll learn new moves from Pokémon you meet to expand and create a paradise, collecting berries, rocks, and wood, as well as building furniture, growing vegetables in fields you’ve tilled, creating homes for Pokémon you meet, and more.

IGN's Pokémon Pokopia review returned a 9/10. We said: "Pokémon Pokopia is an enjoyable, personality-packed building simulator set in a surprisingly deep world that is stuffed with fun things for its delightful Ditto protagonist to do and create."

Pokémon Pokopia is, of course, a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive. Don't forget that you can pre-order and pre-load so it's ready to go the second it strikes midnight! You can also technically play it early if you choose an earlier timezone, but that requires you to have an account in that region, and you'll need to buy it from that region's eShop, too.

Pokémon Pokopia release times

Depending on where you are in the world, Pokémon Pokopia is set to go live on Nintendo Switch 2 at the following times:

Crimson Desert Dev 'Sick' of Having to Repeatedly Deny 'Hiding' Console Footage, as Some Fear 'Another Cyberpunk Console Launch Situation'

4 mars 2026 à 11:58

Will Powers, the public face of Crimson Desert in the west, has hit out at people accusing developer and publisher Pearl Abyss of “hiding” console footage of the hotly anticipated open-world action adventure game, and promised reveals are coming ahead of its release date.

Pearl Abyss has yet to confirm base performance figures for Crimson Desert on consoles, leaving PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S owners wondering how it will perform on their platforms. With the disastrous release of Cyberpunk 2077 still fresh in the memory, and the backlash developer CD Projekt suffered by not showing off the game on last-gen consoles ahead of launch, some have expressed concern that Crimson Desert might struggle on PlayStation and Xbox, and so would prefer to know the performance targets before pre-ordering the game.

Powers, though, has gone on the offensive, taking to social media and to reddit to hit out at the doubters. In response to one person on X / Twitter who accused Pearl Abyss of “still hiding all console footage,” Powers said: “We're not hiding anything, and I'm sick of having to repeat myself. I've repeated 100s of times that we'll reveal things ahead of launch to give people adequate time to still preorder the game for themselves. We're saying this openly... Let us cook? Please and thank you. /rant”

Powers later commented on the reddit thread discussing his tweet, clarifying his position: “People have the right to information to make an informed purchase. Simply put, that's transparency, and that's what we're promising. But people demanding information on their timeline is entitlement, and that needs to end.”

That thread, by the way, is a mix of genuine concern and enthusiasm, with some explaining why they’re worried about Crimson Desert on consoles, and others appealing for patience. “I understand it can get frustrating replying and responding to all the people asking for console footage but that's because we've seen this before with Cyberpunk 2077 where they held back console footage until the very last minute and players found out that it was a mess,” said one person. “I wouldn't call it entitlement but more like precaution and passion. We're all fans eager to get our hands on the game. I'm sure demanding a few minutes of console footage isn't asking too much especially as the game's only two weeks away from launch.”

The situation with Cyberpunk was different, of course, given it released on the last generation of consoles as well as the current (Crimson Desert is PC and current-gen consoles only). But the backlash sent shockwaves throughout the video game industry, and CD Projekt ended up having to issue a public apology for not showing the base PS4 and Xbox One versions of Cyberpunk 2077 before launch. Even now, over five years after Cyberpunk came out, what happened with that game is driving the discourse.

The reason I've not pre-ordered your game yet is simple. Not seen it run on a base playstation console.
You only show it on playstation pro with PC.
you have no issues showing it running on PC just not consoles.

We still remember @CyberpunkGame on consoles.

— Lukeyguy (@Lukeyguy_) March 4, 2026

“So from a consumer's perspective, how late before release is a reasonable date for them to reveal console footage?” one person said. “The game comes out in roughly two weeks, we still have not seen much of console let alone the performance. I think it’s fair that consumers want answers when we’re expected to purchase a product,” said another person.

“Thank you for speaking out on that matter. You seem to be convinced that it won't be another Cyberpunk console launch situation so let's believe that,” another added. “I think it's understandable that people rightfully get nervous when devs share footage of only one platform while the game releases on multiple. If it would be a disaster, you would've just made everything worse and the trust would be gone completely though.”

“As soon as I see the PS5 runs the game well, you’ll have my money. I’m literally sold [on] everything but performance,” one potential fan said.

Last month, Powers said the developers at Pearl Abyss were doubling down on the "optimization phase” in a bid to get performance as smooth as possible across all platforms ahead of Crimson Desert's release date. Crimson Desert is due out March 19 priced $69.99. Pearl Abyss recently confirmed it does not contain a cosmetic cash shop nor microtransactions of any kind.

Nintendo Announces 3 Retro Mario Games Returning for Mario Day

4 mars 2026 à 11:32

Next week's annual celebration of Super Mario will be marked by the return of three retro games via Nintendo Switch Online.

Nintendo will add two more Virtual Console titles and a popular Game Boy Advance classic to its subscription service on March 10, otherwise known as Mario Day (because its date is MAR10).

The recently-launched Nintendo Switch Online Virtual Console range will get Mario Tennis and Mario Clash, both released in 1995, while its Game Boy Advance catalog will add 2004's Mario vs. Donkey Kong. You will, however, need the Switch Online's pricier Expansion Pack tier to access the games.

Three classic titles are coming to #NintendoSwitch2 and #NintendoSwitch on March 10.

If you like peering into a peripheral and batting away balls, Mario Tennis is a fairly standard sport experience that happens to feature Nintendo's mascot and other Mushroom Kingdom residents on the court. Mario Clash, meanwhile, is set within the a series of underground pipes and lets you go bowling with Koopa Troopa shells.

Of the three, Mario vs. Donkey Kong is the most interesting. A spiritual successor to the original Donkey Kong, this puzzle platformer was successful enough that it spawned a whole spinoff series, and a full Switch remake that launched in 2024. Here, you can see where that all started.

Nintendo has not yet announced any other celebrations to mark Mario Day, though fans are hoping we hear more from the company soon following a recent third-party Partner Direct and this week's Indie World broadcast. The company has often held a full Nintendo Direct in March, ahead of the financial year's end. Maybe we'll hear more about that next week too.

One Piece Author Eiichiro Oda Literally Hid the Manga Series' Final Secret at the Bottom of the Ocean

4 mars 2026 à 11:17

One Piece, Japan’s popular pirate-themed manga series, finally has some real-life sunken treasure. Author Eiichiro Oda has apparently written the secret to One Piece on a piece of paper, which has been placed in a pressure-resistant glass sphere and submerged in the ocean. This is a publicity stunt to celebrate the long-running manga selling over 600 million copies worldwide, however the answer that fans have been waiting for won’t be revealed until the story’s climax.

The One Piece manga started in 1997. It follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his motley crew as they search for a legendary treasure called “One Piece," which was left behind by Pirate King Gol. D Roger. Since then it has spawned a highly popular multimedia franchise of anime series, movies, and games. But what exactly One Piece is has remained a secret.

However, this week Oda has literally turned the ultimate goal of his 28-year-old series into pirate booty. With the help of the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC), Oda has submerged the secret to One Piece at an undisclosed location 651 meters below sea level, as reported by The Sankei Shimbun.

As a teaser, a mock-up of half of the piece of paper has been printed in the March 4 morning editions of Japan's Asahi Shimbun and Yomiuri Shimbun newspapers. Fans are urged to keep the mock-up until the secret is revealed.

— ONE PIECE スタッフ【公式】/ Official (@Eiichiro_Staff) March 4, 2026

The teaser doesn’t reveal anything juicy though. The mock-up just says, “One Piece is… and… Monkey D. Luffy is…” Talk about cryptic! There’s also a dramatic documentary-style video of the treasure being submerged on One Piece’s official YouTube.

Over on social media, people are joking that some One Piece fans are diehard enough to actually try to find the treasure in real life. One commenter quipped in Japanese, “What if this marks the dawn of The Great Pirate Era in our modern times?,” referencing the time period from One Piece. Some fans have already started the detective work, with one Redditor proposing that the secret to One Piece could be lying somewhere on the seabed of Suruga Bay, off Japan’s Shizuoka Prefecture.

Oda will reveal what is on the paper in One Piece's final chapter, and there are plans to retrieve the glass sphere from the ocean then. However, there is still no official timeline for when the series will end. Perhaps this teaser suggests that we can expect the answer to what One Piece actually is sooner rather than later.

Marathon Release Times Confirmed

4 mars 2026 à 10:59

Following numerous delays, Bungie's Marathon is almost here, releasing on PC (via Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on March 5 after a successful "Server Slam" beta test over the weekend. It's Bungie's first new game since it released Destiny 2 in 2018.

A PvP-focused extraction shooter set on the mysterious planet of Tau Ceti IV, Marathon sees players inhabit the bodies of Runners, cybernetic mercenaries who have been designed to survive the planet’s harsh environments, exploring the lost colony that once inhabited Tau Ceti’s surface.

In our Marathon review-in-progress, we wrote: "The Server Slam alone doesn’t paint a full picture, but working my way to character rank 30 was a really promising glimpse at the first stretch of progression in what looks to be quite an intense climb to the endgame.

"I’ll be diving deep into every aspect of Marathon at its full launch and be back with a final review once I’ve seen what the later half of that experience feels like – some of which is being held behind planned updates in a couple of weeks. But at least right now, I’m feeling extremely good about the chances of this becoming my next obsession."

Bungie recently revealed what to expect from Marathon at launch and confirmed plans for seasonal wipes, which means all players lose their gear every few months, bringing a "clean slate for the whole community" each session. Players will keep their achievements, cosmetics, titles, and other rewards, as well as their Codex progression.

Call of Duty Leaker Hit With Legal Demand, Activision Insists Even Wrong Leaks Hurt Devs and 'Mess With Player Expectations'

4 mars 2026 à 10:52

Activision has demanded a prominent Call of Duty leaker stop releasing confidential information about the series, insisting that even when leaks are wrong they cause problems.

X / Twitter account @TheGhostOfHope is well known in the Call of Duty community for leaks, and has been doing so for some time. Just last month, Hope claimed that “sources” had indicated that an apparent delay of the next Xbox had “hurt” Call of Duty marketing plans, as Activision apparently wanted Modern Warfare 4 to be a launch title and compete with GTA 6.

“Because of this delay, the idea of two Call of Duty games launching with the next Xbox has been floated,” Hope continued. “A traditional Call of Duty multiplayer and a standalone Zombies title, presumably developed by Treyarch. Likely similar to that of Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered were both released together.”

Hope also claimed that Microsoft wanted Activision to “be more agile” and “less attached to annualized releases” moving forward.

That claim (the standalone Zombies suggestion in particular got a lot of fans excited) prompted an official response from the Call of Duty account, which poured cold water on the “leak.” “The rumor factory working overtime. This ain’t it,” the account said.

“Whoever at COD PR came up with denying almost any rumor put out by anybody besides datamined stuff is a genius,” Hope said in response to Activision’s denial. “Makes leakers look like fools and everybody will forget about them lying in a few years when this stuff comes true LOL. They know what they’re doing I’ll give them that.”

Fast forward to today, March 4, and Hope said that Activision had “legally demanded” that he stop his so-called leaks, and that he had agreed to do so. “Still gonna stick around and chat about Official Call of Duty info and anything not related to leaks/confidential information,” Hope added. “Cheers for these past few years.”

Activision has legally demanded that I stop leaking and disseminating confidential information related to Call of Duty/Activision and I am complying with their demands. Still gonna stick around and chat about Official Call of Duty info and anything not related to… pic.twitter.com/uALC3xlyC9

— Hope (@TheGhostOfHope) March 4, 2026

Surprisingly, the official Call of Duty X / Twitter account has responded to some prominent Call of Duty social media accounts who have discussed the action. Call of Duty content creator TDAWG to ask if Activision’s takedown validated Hope’s leaks. Replying, the official Call of Duty Twitter account denied all the leaks were accurate, but insisted that even wrong leaks can be damaging, as “they still hurt the people building the game and mess with player expectations.”

Nah. Even when leaks are wrong, they still hurt the people building the game and mess with player expectations.

— Call of Duty (@CallofDuty) March 4, 2026

That tweet met with a mixed response itself. Rod Breslau, aka Slasher, took issue with it, saying that “posting like this through the official account to go after a singular person reporting information is disgusting.”

COD Warfare replied: “Yet your hype trailers and false advertising do more harm than the leaks to the players, as you advertise some thing completely different to what the actual game really is, BO6 first teaser ‘Gulf War’ ended some weird story with zombies missions, BO7 hyped up BO2 sequel and then you released that mess campaign wise.”

“Wild to see the official COD account still go after ‘fake leaks,’” added TCMFGames.

The Call of duty account subsequently replied to one person who called on Activision to “do the same to the hackers, and their providers,” with: “tick, tick 💣”

In truth, the Call of Duty series has always had a significant leaker community around it, and information on upcoming games and features typically emerges ahead of official announcements. That makes Activision’s action here all the more surprising, and now other prominent Call of Duty leakers have expressed concern.

pic.twitter.com/6LOwCDc89a

— Hope (@TheGhostOfHope) March 4, 2026

Activision is coming off the back of the bruising launch of Black Ops 7, which has struggled in sales terms compared to Black Ops 6, a fact that's reflected in everything from European sales figures to Activision's own admissions. Of course, none of this takes into account the Game Pass effect. Call of Duty now launches day one on Microsoft’s subscription service, which will no doubt have an impact on sales at least on Xbox consoles. All eyes are now on Activision for the inevitable announcement of this year’s premium Call of Duty game. The question is, will it leak ahead of time?

Capcom Trumpets Successful Resident Evil Requiem Launch, 5 Million Copies Sold

4 mars 2026 à 10:38

Resident Evil Requiem has sold 5 million copies in just five days, and is another hit for publisher Capcom.

This morning, a press release stated that the company's new Resident Evil blockbuster had already passed the sales milestone following a hugely successful launch weekend. Requiem's launch appears to be the biggest in recent franchise history — hitting 5 million sales faster than Resident Evil Village, and the remakes of Resi 2 and Resi 4.

Early indications had suggested Requiem was landing well, with a peak of more than 344,000 concurrent players on Steam over the weekend — a series record — plus an extremely positive response from fans and critics alike. (IGN's Resident Evil Requiem review rated the game as 9/10).

In its press release, Capcom went on to highlight some of its own major accomplishments with the game, such as the "photorealistic detail, including the character's skin, teary eyes and flowing hair" made possible by its own custom RE Engine technology.

But while Requiem certainly looks the part, the game's success is likely due to a whole host of reasons, such as the return of hugely popular hero Leon S. Kennedy, a major focus on nostalgic elements such as the series' long-awaited return to Raccoon City, and the title's fun mix of survival horror and action gameplay, spread between sequences with Leon and FBI rookie Grace Ashcroft.

Significant buzz around the game was successfully built up by Capcom prior to launch, with the publisher hiding Leon's involvement until just a few months ago, despite persistent rumors. The game's launch weekend has also been filled with further excitement, as fans find numerous cameos and Easter eggs from the series' past — and worked together to solve the fiendish Final Puzzle challenge, which has now been completed.

If you're already one of the millions playing, IGN's Resident Evil: Requiem guide will help you every step of the way through RE9. Take note of these key tips and tricks before you get started, and focus on finding these important items early. Plus, our comprehensive walkthrough will make sure you don't miss a single Bobblehead or file as you try to survive from the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center all the way to Raccoon City.

Pokémon TCG: Perfect Order Booster Bundles Are Finally Up for Preorder at Amazon, and Way Under Market Price

4 mars 2026 à 10:20

Preorders for Pokémon TCG: Perfect Order Booster Bundles are now live at Amazon (see here), and they're listed for way under the current market price.

You can secure your preorder at just $43.13 right now, which is over $26 under the market price at the trusted resale marketplace TCGplayer ($69.60).

Outside of the recent Target preorders (that came and went incredibly fast), this is the best price I've seen on the upcoming Mega Evolution expansion. With six boosters included, you're looking at just under $7.20 per pack.

Funnily enough, all things considered, this is actually quite a good deal. For just over $40, you're looking at a certified bargain by comparison to the other recent Mega Evolution expansions. Phantasmal Flames bundles are still selling for $55+, and Ascended Heroes bundles are still rocking a $70+ market value over a month after release.

While it's not quite as good a value as picking up the Booster Box at TCGplayer right now, including 36 packs for $228.80 market price (working out at $6.35 per pack), it's still a great deal for anyone who hasn't got a spare $200 to throw around, but still wants to get involved with the new set.

Amazon's preorder price guarantee also means you'll pay the lowest price possible between now and release day, no matter if the price increases or drops even further. Locking in your preorder now while the price is so low (comparatively to preorders elsewhere, and on the resale market).

Just to be clear, while this is still a good deal, it is also still above the recognised MSRP ($18.99). But, in all honesty, you so rarely see that price anymore that the de facto listings for Booster Bundles sit anywhere between $40-$60 at online retailers like Amazon, which tend to list closer to market price than MSRP. If anything, preorders are MSRP are so rare, that's a deal within itself, and so hard to come by, most probably don't even realise the inflationary pricing on listings elsewhere.

The new set is going under something of a crash in market price recently, with Elite Trainer Boxes dropping from a high of $145.92 resale at trusted marketplace TCGplayer, to an all-time low of $94.48.

Market price is currently sitting at $95.88, and has been on a steady decline, dropping -26.76% in just the past 30 days. Funnily enough, while ETBs are dropping in price right now, the aforementioned 36-pack booster box is actually on the rise, jumping from around $200 just last week to almost $230 now.

Perfect Order is going to be honing in on many of the Pokémon featured in the Legends: Z-A game. Among the cards announced from the 120-card set so far, we know we’re going to be seeing many of the game’s starring Mega Pokémon: Mega Zygarde ex, Mega Starmie ex, and Mega Clefable ex; but also some surprising extra additions like Meowth ex.

It's just a few weeks away now, releasing on March 27, so I'd highly recommend locking in your preorder for at least 1 or 2 of these booster bundles ASAP.

4 mars 2026 à 02:15

If you're in need of a second pair of Joy-Con controllers for your Nintendo Switch 2 console but don't want to pay $100, here is a rare opportunity to pick one up at a discount. AliExpress is offering a pair of genuine Nintendo Joy-Con 2 controllers for just $83.21 after you apply a $9 off coupon code: "9USAFFS". This is the only discount I've seen so far.

Although these are genuine official Nintendo Switch Joy-Con 2 controllers, they are imported, most likely from Hong Kong, China, or Japan. However, it doesn't matter because Switch 2 hardware is region unlocked, meaning you can use imported controllers with any US-purchased Switch 2 console out of the box without any fiddling required. Imported hardware does not get a US-based Nintendo warranty, however AliExpress does offer a generous 90-day free returns window.

Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con 2 Controllers (Pair) for $83.21

The original Joy-Con is also compatible with the Switch 2, but the newer Joy-Con 2 features several upgrades that are worth saving up for. The biggest difference is that the Joy-Con 2 is physically larger, with bigger buttons and a matte texture for a better grip and improved ergonomics. It also magnetically attaches to the Switch 2 console for a more secure hold. Functionally, the new Joy-Con is updated with "HD Rumble 2" for better tactile feedback, an optical sensor so that you can use the controller like a mouse, and a C button to access the GameChat feature.

If you're looking to add more controllers for local multiplayer action, or if you simply want a backup pair of Joy-Cons, then you should consider this deal. Recently the retail price of the Joy-Con 2 went up from $95 to $100 as a result of tariffs.

The $9 Joyroom Car Adapter Adds Wireless Bluetooth Audio and USB Charging Ports to Your Old Car

Par : Eric Song
4 mars 2026 à 00:45

If you own an old car without Bluetooth and you're looking for a cheap and easy way to wirelessly stream music from your smartphone through your car speakers, then I've got you covered. For a limited time, Amazon is offering the Joyroom Bluetooth 5.4 FM Transmitter Car Adapter for a mere $9.49 after you apply a 50% off coupon code "CFVPAO8Z". You do not need to be an Amazon Prime member to take advantage of this deal.

Joyroom Bluetooth 5.4 FM Transmitter Car Adapter for $9.49

The Joyroom adapter plugs into your standard cigarette lighter or 12V DC auxiliary power outlet. It connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth 5.4 and converts the audio into an unused FM radio frequency, which then transmits into your car's FM radio system. You can use it to stream music or to take phone calls.

In addition to its audio streaming capabilities, the Joyroom adapter also gives you extra ports: one USB Type-C port with up to 45W of Power Delivery and two USB Type-A ports with up to 36W of Power Delivery. The maximum simultaneous power output is 81W, which means you can run two ports at the max charging rate at the same time.

I can't omit the most important feature, and that's the cool RGB light ring.

Alienware Still Has One of the Lowest Prices on an RTX 5080 Equipped Prebuilt Gaming PC

Par : Eric Song
4 mars 2026 à 00:15

2026 has already seen surges in the cost of RAM and GPUs. Unfortunately, this also affects the price of gaming PCs. Obviously this isn't an ideal time to be buying a new PC, but fortunately, there are still good deals to be found. If you're looking for a future-proof system, an RTX 5080 PC is powerful enough to set you up for 4K gaming for years to come.

The Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 gaming PC has dropped to as low as $2,299.99 with free delivery after a $530 instant discount. This is currently one of the least expensive RTX 5080 prebuilts you'll be able to get right now. Most other RTX 5080 prebuilts are currently priced at $2,500 and up.

Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 Gaming PC for $2,300

This configuration is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F is a 20-core processor with a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz. It's cooled by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooling system. The 1,000W power supply gives you headroom for upgrades down the road.

The GeForce RTX 5080 GPU will run any game in 4K

Performance-wise, the RTX 5080 is no slouch. It's one of the fastest cards on the market, bested only by the $2,000 RTX 5090 and the discontinued $1,600 RTX 4090. This is a phenomenal card for playing the latest, most demanding games in 4K resolution at high settings and ray tracing enabled. The recent DLSS 4.5 update has further optimized multi-frame gen and upscaling so you can push really high framerates even in 4K. More games are supporting this feature, including Doom: The Dark Ages, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Borderlands 4, Stellar Blade, and Battlefield 6. Check out our Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE review for our hands-on impressions.

AliExpress Has the Popular Sofirn High-Powered LED Flashlights for Less Than Half the Price on Amazon

Par : Eric Song
3 mars 2026 à 23:15

It's smart to have a light source on hand for emergencies, especially since everyday carry flashlights can be had for a throwaway price. The Sofirn brand is extremely popular amongst the enthusiast flashlight community for the amount the light they throw out at a bargain price. Sofirn's official store on AliExpress routinely sells these flashlights for a much lower price than on Amazon. They ship free from a local US warehouse with no tariff fees or obnoxious shipping times.

Sofirn Q8 Plus 16,000-Lumen LED Flashlight for $49.88

Arguably the better deal of the two flashlights here is the Sofirn Q8 Plus. It's currently $49.88 after $7 off coupon code "7USAFFS". This exact flashlight sells for $120 on Amazon.

The Q8 Plus is a beefly flashlight, measuring a modest 5.2 inches long but weighing in at just over one pound. This is an incredibly bright light with a maximum 16,000 lumen output and a throw distance of 554 meters (over 1/3 of a mile) thanks to six Cree XHP50B LEDs each with its own reflector. The light can be adjusted down to extend battery life. The hefty body acts as a heatsink that keeps the LEDs from thermally throttling, although the flashlight can get quite warm during extended usage under maximum power. Three 21700 batteries are included and can charged via a USB-C port.

I purchased this flashlight myself at AliExpress last year. It arrived quickly and was packaged in a retail box. The flashlight was in new condition and all the accessories were included. It is an outstanding flashlight for the price.

Sofirn SP36 Pro 8,000-Lumen LED Flashlight for $29.56

The powerful yet compact Sofirn SP36 Pro 8,000-Lumen Rechargeable LED Flashlight has also dropped in price to $29.56 after you apply $4 off coupon code "4USAFFS". This exact flashlight sells for $70 on Amazon.

The Sofirn SP36 Pro is a compact EDC style flashlight, measuring just 5" in length and weighing about 10 ounces without the battery. It features a rugged aluminum shell and has an IPX8 rating, which means it can be submerged in water up to 1 meter deep. The flashlight comes with three 18650 Li-on batteries that can be recharged with a USB Type-C cable.

The light array is comprised of four Luminus SST-40 LEDs each with is own individual reflector. They combine for a maximum output of 8,000 lumens and a beam distance of up to 450 meters, which means that this little flashlight can illuminate an entire football field. The intensity is adjustable so you can conserve battery life.

The LEGO Super Mario Piranha Plant Drops to $41.99 on Amazon After a Rare 30% Discount

Par : Eric Song
3 mars 2026 à 22:15

Nintendo and LEGO fans rejoice, because one of our favorite sets just got a major discount. Amazon has lowered the price of the LEGO Super Mario Piranha Plant 71426 to just $41.99 with free shipping after a 30% off instant discount. The 18+ rating means this is relatively challenging build, but having built it myself, and I think it's a great set for builders of all ages with a little bit of guidance. It also happens to be the most affordable Mario-themed 18+ LEGO set you can get.

40% Off LEGO Super Mario Piranha Plant 71426

The LEGO Piranha Plant measures 9" high, 4.5" wide, and 6.5" deep – about the size of a potted plant – and consists of 540 bricks. The Piranha Plant makes for a fantastic display; it has numerous articulation points located at the head, mouth, stalk, and each of its leaves, and the jaw is also hinged, all of which allow for myriad customizable poses. There's even a cool little easter egg: A piggy bank is built into the pipe with two golden coins included to get you started on your stash. Despite the small brick count, this set is intended for ages 18+, so novice builders may need guidance. Once completed however, this adorable looking set is sure to be a hit with people of all ages, even if they didn't join in on the build.

Kevin Wong built this set for IGN and wrote, "As far as LEGO builds are concerned, the new Piranha Plant is just about perfect – vibrantly colored, well-proportioned and sized, and reasonably priced. Whether you're new to bricks or you're a dedicated hobbyist, this set captures that signature Mario franchise whimsy – cute but not too cute, menacing but not too menacing, and imbued with lots of personality."

Check out the LEGO Game Boy set

Another excellent LEGO x Nintendo collab is the LEGO Super Mario Game Boy 72046. This is a near 1:1 replica of the original Game Boy released back in 1989. The set comes with two game cartridges: Super Mario Land and The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening and even includes their respective lenticular screens. Seth Macy built this set and loved it.

Who Is the New Lady Whistledown? Bridgerton Cast Reveals Their Prime Suspects

3 mars 2026 à 22:00

Full spoilers below for Bridgerton Season 4, now streaming now on Netflix.

Season 4 of Bridgerton just premiered on Netflix, and the final episode dropped a huge bomb on the audience: There’s a new Lady Whistledown, and we have no idea who she is. Departing from Julia Quinn’s books, the season finale revealed that there’s a new gossip maven in town, sure to torment, tease, and stimulate the Ton once Season 5 arrives.

For those unfamiliar, the original Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews and portrayed on screen by Nicola Coughlan) was one Penelope Featherington, a wallflower friend of the Bridgertons who used her quill to inform and scandalize the London upper class. Penelope’s identity was slowly revealed, first to us, then to the show’s characters, causing scandal and delight alike. In Season 3, Penelope publicly came out as Whistledown and married Bridgerton sibling Colin (Luke Newton), leaving a gaping hole in the show’s appeal.

Well, now Lady Whistledown is back. And this time, it’s not Penelope. I sat down with the cast of Bridgerton Season 4 who revealed their prime suspects for the show’s big new mystery.

Luke Thompson (Benedict Bridgerton)

“It could be so many people. I don't know where it's going to go from there. We've only just discovered who [the previous Whistledown] is. And now we have to start all over again.

“It could be [Benedict].”

Yerin Ha (Sophie Baek)

“[We only had] one season to enjoy Penelope as Lady Whistledown. Back to square one. I kind of wish it was [youngest Bridgerton sister] Hyacinth or someone young trying to get their voice out into society.

“It could be Alice [Mondrich, the Queen’s lady-in-waiting]. It could be me. It could be Footman John.”

Hannah Dodd (Francesca Bridgerton)

“There's quite a few characters who I think it could be. We all came up with quite different names when we were chatting about it. But I don't want to know. So I'm trying not to give it too much thought. So I really want that moment, that payoff.”

Katie Leung (Lady Araminta Gun)

I was very, very surprised [at the Whistledown reveal]. And then obviously you start thinking, ‘Who is it? Who is it?’ I think it'd be really interesting if she were a he, because I feel like people might not expect that.

Isabella Wei (Posi Li)

“I was saying I'd love for it to be Eloise [Bridgerton. It would] bring a really interesting perspective. [But] I had no idea that was coming. I'm sure it was a surprise to most of us. So it was great.”

Victor Alli (Lord John Stirling)

“I love to go on that sort of hunt and I feel like I know who it is. I don't want to say.”

While the cast of Bridgerton has a lineup of suspects for the new Lady Whistledown, there’s one person who knows the character's identity for sure: Showrunner Jess Brownell. Brownell says that, even though the new mystery was a surprise reveal, it’s been in the works since 2024 and has been definitively planned out.

“[Lady Whistledown’s identity] has been decided,” Brownell says. [Executive Producer] Shonda [Rhimes] and I had a big conversation all the way back in Season 3 when we were [discussing] ‘What are we doing with Whistledown?’ Knowing that Penelope is coming out publicly. We knew we couldn't sustain that for too long, that there weren't as many stakes and there wasn't as much drama in that. So we thought, ‘Well, what will we do afterwards?’ And we went, ‘OK, Whistledown will come back.’ And then we developed our suspect.”

A second Lady Whistledown is a dramatic departure from the show’s source text: Julia Quinn’s series of novels. But Brownell says that’s a small price to pay if it means Julie Andrews can continue on the show.

“It's a departure from the books,” Brownell says. “But the voice of Whistledown and specifically the voice of Julie Andrews has become such a hallmark of the show. It's not only part of the style of the show, but it's also thematically really useful for us. The way that Lady Whistledown can provide a bit of conflict is really important. Now that Penelope has gone through an evolution in her character and is a better person, she’s a less incendiary Whisteldown. It makes sense for the character to move on to something else. And now we can have someone come in and stoke the fire a little bit more.”

Season 4 of Bridgerton is now streaming on Netflix.

Highguard to Permanently Shut Down on March 12, Wildlight to Release One Final Update With a New Warden, a New Weapon, Skill Trees, and More

3 mars 2026 à 21:32

Wildlight has announced that it will be permanently shutting down Highguard on March 12. Before then, it will release one final update that adds a new Warden, a new weapon, account level progression, and skill trees for those who want to get their final matches in.

Wildlight shared the news on X/Twitter, saying, "Today we’re sharing difficult news. We have made the decision to permanently shut down Highguard on March 12.

"Since launch, more than 2 million players stepped into Highguard’s world. You shared feedback, created content, and many believed in what we were building. For that, we are deeply grateful.

"Despite the passion and hard work of our team, we have not been able to build a sustainable player base to support the game long term. Servers will remain online until March 12th. We hope you’ll jump in with us one more time to show your support and get those final great matches in while we still can.

"The team is excited to release one final game update to enjoy in the remaining life of the game. We'll be adding a new Warden, a new weapon, account level progression, and skill trees! Full patch notes are coming, and we're targeting tonight or tomorrow morning for patch release.

"From all of us at Wildlight, thank you for playing, for supporting us, and for being part of Highguard’s story."

Wildlight was first announced at The Game Awards 2025, and it was the big finale for the show. Geoff Keighley had enjoyed what he played of the game, and he then offered the coveted last spot to Wildlight for Highguard.

It didn't go quite as well as planned, and Josh Sobel, a developer who worked on Highguard before being let go from Wildgate, shared that the game, and by extension its team, "turned into a joke from minute one, largely due to false assumptions about a million-dollar ad placement."

"Within minutes, it was decided: this game was dead on arrival, and creators now had free ragebait content for a month," Sobel continued. "Every one of our videos on social media got downvoted to hell. Comments sections were flooded with copy/paste meme phrases such as 'Concord 2' and 'Titanfall 3 died for this.' At launch, we received over 14k review bombs from users with less than an hour of playtime. Many didn't even finish the required tutorial."

Highguard did launch on January 26, 2026, and the team at Wildgate stayed very quiet between The Game Awards and its launch day, but the game did start off strong with Steam concurrents reaching nearly 100,000. Unfortunately, it also had a "mostly negative" user review rating on Steam.

Wildgate was quick to address issues with the game, and even added a 5v5 game mode to counter the 3v3 complaints. Shortly thereafter, most of the studio was laid off, but the game kept on.

Reports kept coming out about the game, including how it came to be and that it was quietly backed by Tencent, and now its story will sadly come to an end after 45 days of being online.

We enjoyed what we played of Highguard, and scored it a 7/10.

"Highguard’s compelling gunplay, impressive pace of updates, and killer Raid mode have made its exciting attack-and-defend encounters quite memorable, even if the version we have right now feels a bit like a rough draft," IGN's Travis Northup said in his review. "The unique competitive matches definitely have room for improvement, with maps that can feel a little empty and rounds that are somewhat uneven between their slow looting lows and chaotic raiding highs.\

"Plus, with just nine characters, a handful of maps and bases, and only one game mode served up in a few different flavors, there’s not a lot of meat on this bone just yet. But what is here at the moment is still a lot of fun on its own, and I can already feel the makings of something that could be pretty stellar if it’s able to survive long enough to fully realize that potential."

AliExpress Has a 350W Adult Electric Scooter With a Top Speed of 19mph Starting at Just $109

Par : Eric Song
3 mars 2026 à 20:25

There are many reasons why an electric scooter might be a better fit for you than an electric bike. They're lighter, more compact, and usually less expensive. Electric assisted scooters give you more range and speed for less effort, and the brushless motor is pretty quiet. You'd think upgrading to one would cost you a lot of money, but that's not the case.

For a limited time, AliExpress is offering the very popular LADPED LP80 350W electric scooter with 10.5Ah battery for just $114.46 after coupon code "16USAFFS". Alternatively, the LADPED LP60 350W electric scooter with 5.2Ah battery is $109.01 after code "16USAFFS". Both scooters ship free from a local US warehouse.

AliExpress marketplace vendor AOVOPRO is the official manufacturer of these scooters and has plenty of reviews and sales to back up its reputation. Since they've already been shipped from overseas, any tariffs have already been paid for and you also don't need to worry about egregiously long shipping times.

Electric Scooter Deals Starting at $109

The LADPED electric scooters are solid entry level options for adults. Both models are equipped with a peppy 350W brushless motor that can push the scooter at speeds of up to 19mph. The LP80 is equipped with a 36V 10.5aH battery that lasts up to 18 miles on a single charge. The LP60 has a much smaller 36V 5.2AH battery that will give you half that range. Both scooters weigh about 34 pounds (the LP60 is a bit lighter because of the smaller battery) and can be folded for easier transport and storage. They're equipped with standard 8.5" maintenance free tires ideal for paved surfaces.

Other than that, there's not much more you could ask for from a sub-$150 scooter. More well-known scooter brands are a lot more expensive; the Segway Ninebot E2 and the Niu KQi 100P scooters both cost about $350, and they're also made in China (Segway was purchased by Ninebot in 2015, and is technically a Chinese company now). If cost was the reason that had been holding you back, than the prices on these LADPED scooters are a convincing excuse to get one now.

Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition for PS5 Has Hit a New Low Price at Amazon

3 mars 2026 à 20:15

The arrival of a new Remedy game this year is a great excuse to jump back into some of the studio's older releases. Alan Wake 2, in particular, is one we absolutely love (our favorite horror game of 2023, actually). If you haven't added it to your library yet, this is an excellent time to do it as its PS5 Deluxe Edition has hit a new low price at Amazon of $34.96 (see it here). Head to the link below to scoop it up at this price while it's still on sale.

Alan Wake 2 Deluxe Edition (PS5) for $35

There's quite a lot to enjoy with this Deluxe Edition as well. Not only does it come with the main game, but you'll also get the two expansions, Night Springs and the Lake House. It also comes with cosmetics and items for both protagonists, Alan and Saga, including the Nordic Shotgun Skin, Crimson Windbreaker, and Lantern Charm for Saga, and Celebrity Suit and Parliament Shotgun Skin for Alan. In addition, you'll even get the digital edition of Alan Wake Remastered, so you can play through Alan's complete story across both games. It's a real treat for just $35 with this deal.

As mentioned before, it took home our top prize as the best horror game of 2023. As for why it earned this acknowledgement, IGN's Matt Purslow said "On the surface, Alan Wake 2 looks like Resident Evil, but beyond that familiar over-the-shoulder perspective is a game with unmatched vision. Its confident direction, using all manner of visual and audio tricks, drags you into a creepy world that offers unexpected surprises in every chapter."

Of course, our review had very high praise for it as well. IGN's Tristan Ogilvie said it, "delivers one of the boldest and most brain-bending survival-horror storylines this side of Silent Hill 2, presents it with uniformly immaculate art direction and audio design, and reinvigorates the series’ signature light-based shooting as though it’s been locked and loaded with a fresh pack of Energizers."

This $19 Iniu 20,000 Power Bank Quadruples Your Nintendo Switch 2 Play Time

Par : Eric Song
3 mars 2026 à 20:11

If you're looking for a high-capacity power bank to extend your Nintendo Switch 2 or Steam Deck playtime on especially long trips, then this deal is perfect for you. Amazon is offering the Iniu 20,000mAh 45W Power Bank for just $18.86 after you clip the 45% off coupon on the product page. Any 20,000mAh power bank priced under $20 is a good deal, but this one is even better because of the higher 45W power output and the built-in USB cable.

Iniu 20,000mAh 45W USB Power Bank for $18.86

This Iniu power bank boasts a generous 20,000mAh, or 74Whr battery capacity. If you factor in 80% power efficiency, here are the approximate number of times you can fully recharge each gaming handheld:

  • Nintendo Switch (16Whr) about 3.7 times
  • Nintendo Switch 2 (19Whr) about 3.1 times
  • Steam Deck (40Whr) about 1.5 times
  • Apple iPhone 17 (14.3Whr) about 4.1 times
  • Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max (19.8Whr) about 3 times

The Iniu power bank has three output ports: one built-in 45W USB Type-C cable, one 45W USB Type-C port, one USB Type-A port with up to 18W of power. The 45W of Power Delivery is enough to charge the Nintendo Switch 2 (19W) and Steam Deck (40W) at their fastest rate. This power bank is also a solid choice for charging your Apple iPhone 17.

The built-in cable is a popular feature on newer and generally pricier power banks because you no longer have to bring along your own USB Type-C cable. When you're on the go, the USB plug can be clipped onto the power bank to form a handy little lanyard. The cable itself is quite sturdy with a respectable break strength of 44 pounds and the lanyard loop when clipped to the power bank itself has a break strength of 13 pounds.

Save 48% Off the Liquid Cooled Lenovo Legion RTX 5070 Ti Gaming PC, Now $1,736.99 With Coupon

Nowadays it's quite difficult to find an RTX 5070 Ti prebuilt for under $2,000, but not impossible. For a limited time, Lenovo is offering a Legion Tower 5 RTX 5070 Ti gaming PC for just $1,736.99 after coupon code "EXTRASAVEAFF". Note that this is technically an exclusive perks offer reserved for VIP members, but I've been able to proceed all the way through checkout without signing into an account.

Thinking of saving money by building your own DIY RTX 5070 Ti system? Think again. With the rising prices of GPUs, the RTX 5070 Ti graphics card is currently selling for at least $250 over MSRP. Other comparable options, such as the Radeon RX 9070 XT or RTX 5080, also have a steep markup.

Lenovo Legion Tower 5 RTX 5070 Ti Gaming PC for $1,737

This Lenovo Legion Tower 5 Gen 10 configuration is equipped with a liquid-cooled Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU, GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB GPU, 32GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 1TB SSD.

Something to note is that this PC is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU on a customized Intel HM870 mATX motherboard. The 275HX is traditionally a laptop CPU, and laptop CPUs are permanently soldered onto the motherboard. That means you won't be able to swap out the CPU for a better one in the future. If you don't intend on swapping the CPU (and let's face it, most of us who buy prebuilts probably never will), then you'll get excellent performance out of this chip.

The RTX 5070 Ti offers the best bang for your buck amongst the new Nvidia Blackwell cards in terms of 4K gaming performance. It performs neck-and-neck with the previous generation RTX 4080 Super and pulls ahead in any game that supports multi-frame generation, especially with the recent DLSS 4.5 update.

Marathon Confirms Seasonal Resets, Which Means Everyone's Gear, Contract and Faction Progression, and Player Level Wipe Every Few Months

3 mars 2026 à 19:19

Bungie has outlined what to expect from Marathon upon launch, and confirmed plans for seasonal wipes that mean all players lose their gear every few months.

Seasonal updates will introduce new gameplay, including gear, Runner shells, zones, events, and more, Bungie said, and they’ll be free for all players to access or earn, so there’s no expansions or DLC required.

Each season brings a “clean slate for the whole community,” Bungie explained, with progression resets that include everyone’s gear, contract progression, faction progression, and player level.

However, players will keep their achievements and cosmetics, titles, and other rewards from reaching milestones. Your Codex progression also carries over. Elsewhere, your liaison contract progression carries over, so you don’t need to unlock the factions every season.

“Seasonal resets mean that the game stays dangerous, loot feels meaningful, and there’s always a good opportunity to get back into the game or bring a friend in without feeling behind the curve,” Bungie said, explaining its decision. “It’s a way to say goodbye to the old, welcome the new, and kick off a journey from zero-to-hero with new ways to play, content to master, and things to discover.”

The extraction shooter launches on March 5 alongside Season 1, called First Step. This includes a community drive to unlock the way into orbit and the fourth zone, called Cryo Archive, although Bungie didn’t say what the community unlock will involve.

“Prepare your mind and shell to take on this end-game zone on the Marathon ship, where you’ll solve security puzzles, unseal frozen vaults, and come face-to-face with an entity even the UESC fears,” Bungie said. Then, during the second half of March, Ranked mode will unlock. We don’t have much information on how it will work, but Ranked mode will offer exclusive rewards.

Bungie also outlined the Marathon launch content:

  • Complete faction and contract progression
  • All six factions, including Sekiguchi Genetics
  • All six launch Runner shells, including Thief
  • Three zones, including Outpost
  • Outpost will unlock the day after launch, giving the community time to gear up and unlock the zone at Runner Level 12
  • 28 weapons, plus mods, implants, cores, and more to craft your perfect builds
  • Earnable cosmetics, achievements, and storytelling through the Codex

Bungie even went as far to reveal Season 2, called Nightfall, which will bring a nighttime version of Dire Marsh, a new Runner shell, and new weapons, mods, cores, and contracts. Nightfall will introduce the Cradle, a new system “designed to give you more autonomy over your Runner shell’s statistical strengths and weaknesses.”

“As we build upon each season, Marathon will continue to grow and evolve,” Bungie said. “The game and world today and a year from now should feel meaningfully different as we add new features and go on the journey of discovering what happened to the colonists of Tau Ceti... and what happens when you dig up secrets that are better left buried.”

We’ve got plenty more on Marathon, including one Bungie developer’s commitment to “fontslop.” Check out IGN's Marathon review so far to find out what we think.

Life is Strange TV Series Reveals Live-Action Max and Chloe

3 mars 2026 à 18:55

The live-action Life is Strange adaptation in the works for Amazon Prime Video has found its Max Caulfield and Chloe Price.

Photography student Max, the protagonist of Life is Strange's original and beloved video game, will be played by TV newcomer Tatum Grace Hopkins, who previously has acting credits on Broadway. Max's rebellious blue-haired bestie Chloe, meanwhile, will be portrayed by Maisy Stella, who previously appeared in TV drama Nashville and the Aubrey Plaza-starring indie comedy My Old Ass.

The duo were first detailed on a poster for the series, published on social media:

The Prime Video series is expected to adapt the original Life is Strange game's story, something that fans of the game have reacted to with intrigue, considering its various narrative choices.

TV showrunners will have to choose whether to flirt with Max and Chloe's popular romantic relationship or keep things platonic, and ultimately pick between one of the game's two divergent endings (although the franchise's upcoming video game finale, Life is Strange: Reunion, is set to nullify this choice to a large degree).

Amazon announced it had greenlit its long-awaited Life is Strange TV adaptation last September, almost a decade after plans to adapt the game were first announced. Charlie Covell, writer of Channel 4's The of the F***king World and Netflix's Kaos, will head the series as executive producer and showrunner, with video game publisher Square Enix and Amazon MGM Studios both on board.

According to an official blurb, the series will follow Max, "a photography student, who discovers she can rewind time while saving the life of her childhood best friend, Chloe. As she struggles to understand this new skill, the pair investigate the mysterious disappearance of a fellow student, uncovering a dark side to their town that will ultimately force them to make an impossible life or death choice that will impact them forever."

Tales, Elden Ring Publisher Bandai Namco Teases New RPG Reveal

3 mars 2026 à 18:34

Bandai Namco, the publisher behind FromSoftware titles such as Dark Souls and Elden Ring, as well as its own RPG series such as Tales, has confirmed plans to reveal a new role-playing game.

The announcement will premiere via YouTube later this week on Thursday, March 5 at 3pm Pacific / 6pm Eastern / 11pm UK. A description for the yet-to-be revealed trailer simply states: "A serenity soon to be disturbed."

Of course, there's already speculation over what this game might be — and yes, Elden Ring 2 was one of the first suggestions (to be fair, the announcement's lettering looks somewhat similar to Elden Ring's logo). But an announcement of that magnitude seems better suited to a major announcement showcase, rather than just appearing online on a random Thursday.

So what else could it be? There's a decent possibility this is the next game in Bandai Namco's venerable Tales series, following 2021's popular Tales of Arise. Five years on, it feels time for a glimpse at an all-new adventure.

Other possibilities exist too, though, including this being a new RPG for the Digimon franchise, which Bandai also owns the rights to. The company has also published FromSoftware's Armored Core. Then there's Bandai Namco's Dragon Ball games.

"With an excellent story and cast and a reinvigorated combat system, Tales of Arise is the shot in the arm the long-running Tales RPG series needed to recapture its best moments," we wrote in IGN's Tales of Arise review, which returned a 9/10. Is it finally time for another chapter? Stay tuned for more later this week.
