blendOS is an Arch Linux-based, rolling-release distribution which automates installing software from supported distributions (Arch Linux, Fedora and Ubuntu) into containers. blendOS tries to make software management in across containers feel native and provides access to the user's home directory for each container.

Uncom OS is Russian commercial Linux distribution based on Ubuntu's long-term support branch and localised into Russian. It is developed by Advilabs-Rus LLC. Some of the distribution's more interesting features include a custom application store, out-of-the-box support for Flatpak packages, a Windows-style dock panel, extended support for VPN protocols, a custom application for restoring system integrity, and use of Bottles to run Windows applications. Besides commercial "Home", "Business" and "Education" editions of Uncom OS, the company also offers a freely downloadable trial variant for testing purposes.

SmartOS is an open-source UNIX-like operating system based on illumos, a community fork of OpenSolaris. It features four technologies - ZFS (a combined file system and logical volume manager), DTrace (a dynamic tracing framework for troubleshooting kernel and application problems), Zones (a lightweight virtualisation solution), KVM and bhyve (two full virtualisation solutions for running a variety of guest operating systems, including Linux, Windows, BSD and Plan9). SmartOS is designed to be particularly suitable for building clouds and generating appliances.

Archcraft is a minimal Linux distribution based on Arch Linux. The project provides a graphical user interface using minimal window managers rather than full featured desktop environments. AnduinOS is an Ubuntu-based distribution which provides a GNOME desktop which has been themed and styled to resemble Windows 11. The project provides a smaller ISO file than its parent with each supported language split into a separate ISO. Snap support, which is included in Ubuntu, has been removed from AnduinOS.

Talos is a specialist Linux-based operating system for running Kubernetes, an open-source system for automating deployment, scaling and management of containerised applications. Minimal, immutable and hardened, it does not offer any shell or interactive console; instead, all system management is done via remote Application Programming Interface (API) calls, where messages sent from a client application are protected with mutual Transport Layer Security TLS (mTLS) authentication. Talos also delivers atomic updates, thus maintaining the Linux and Kubernetes versions up-to-date. Talos is developed in the USA by Sidero Labs, Inc.

Mobian is a port of the Debian distribution, running the mainline Linux kernel, to smartphones and tablets. It is available for the PinePhone, PinePhone Pro, PineTab, PineTab 2, Librem 5, OnePlus 6/6T and Pocophone F1, as well as for standard 64-bit desktop and laptop computers. It offers a choice of two open-source graphical user interfaces for mobile and touch-based devices: Phosh (originally developed by Purism) and Plasma Mobile (developed by the KDE community). Mobian provides stable releases built from Debian "Stable", as well as unsupported weekly builds based on Debian's "Testing" branch.

Aeon is an immutable desktop Linux distribution based on openSUSE. It is a relatively small, low-maintenance system with automated daily updates, thus recommended for Linux beginners or "lazy developers". Athena OS is an Arch-derived Linux distribution designed for penetration testing, bug-bounty hunting and InfoSec students. spirit OS is a lightweight remaster of Tiny Core Linux, designed for very old 32-bit computers without UEFI. It includes the IceWM window manager, full multimedia support (video and music with codecs), WiFi tools and the Dillo web browser. It is powered by glibc and a recent Linux kernel. The ISO image weighs less than 400 MB and includes fewer than 300 packages, including GPicView (a fast and simple image viewer), ROX-Filer (a minimal and responsive file manager), VLC (a media player), XMMS (a retro-style music player), and compression tools for handling various archive formats. CentOS as a group is a community of open source contributors and users which started in 2003 and has been sponsored by Red Hat since 2014. CentOS Linux versions up to CentOS Linux 8 are 100% compatible rebuilds of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, in full compliance with Red Hat's redistribution requirements. In 2020 it was announced CentOS Linux is being discontinued and replaced with CentOS Stream, a developer-focused distribution which acts as a middle-stream between Fedora and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Peppermint OS is a Debian- and Devuan-based (previously a Lubuntu-based) Linux distribution that aims to be fast and easy on system resources. By employing its Site Specific Browser, Peppermint integrates seamlessly with cloud and web-based applications. The distribution's other features include straight forward updates and easy step-by-step installation using the Calamares installer. The distribution once employed a hybrid LXDE/Xfce desktop environment, mixing LXDE's lxsession with Xfce's panel and application menu. Starting in 2022, Peppermint OS shifted to using the Xfce desktop, dropping the LXDE components.

TUXEDO OS is an Ubuntu-based distribution developed in Germany by TUXEDO Computers GmbH, designed and optimised for the company's own range of Linux-friendly personal computers and notebooks. The distribution uses KDE Plasma as the preferred desktop. Some of the differences between Ubuntu and TUXEDO OS include custom boot menu, the TUXEDO Control Centre, Calamares installer, availability of the Lutris open gaming platform, preference for the PipeWire audio daemon (over PulseAudio), removal of Ubuntu's snap daemon and snap packages, and various other tweaks and enhancements.
