How the Yankees are preparing for MLB’s new ‘robot’ strike zone system

This offseason, teams such as the Yankees are working on how they will go about using the new ABS system to their advantage.

The Automated Balls and Strikes system, similar to the Hawk-Eye system used in professional tennis, identifies weather the pitch is a ball or a strike and notifies the home plate umpire through an earpiece. MLB is testing the system for possible use next year.
