Peter Baker, chief White House correspondent for the New York Times, likened President Donald Trump to Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

Baker posted a thread on X criticizing the White House for its treatment of the news media.

Meta issued an apology Wednesday night after an “error” caused Instagram’s recommendation algorithm to flood users’ Reels feeds with disturbing and violent videos.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has overhauled his company's content moderation policies in order to allow freer expression.

The troubling content, which was recommended to users without their consent, featured graphic depictions of individuals being shot, run over by vehicles and suffering gruesome injuries.

“We have fixed an error that caused some users to see content in their Instagram Reels feed that should not have been recommended,” an Instagram spokesman said late Wednesday.

Zuckerberg has been accused of currying favor with President Donald Trump.
