Thunderbolts: New Footage Revealed the Sad Outcome of Bucky’s Political Career

4 avril 2025 à 03:40

With the release of Thunderbolts just a month away, some new footage was shown from the film today at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, introduced by stars Florence Pugh (“Yelena Belova”), David Harbour (“Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian”), Hannah John-Kamen (“Ava Starr / Ghost”), Wyatt Russell (“John Walker / U.S. Agent”) and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (“Valentina Allegra de Fontaine”) - with Pugh saying how much she loved getting to jump from the second highest building in the world in the film.

In the footage, we see the team driving, making small talk, as Jefferson Starship’s “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” (used prominently in the film’s recent trailer) plays on the radio. Up front, Bucky (Sebastian Stan) and Red Guardian talk about the super soldier serum and Hydra, while in the back, Yelena is discussing her Widow’s Bite bracelets with Ghost and John Walker, and asking John about the helmet he wears in battle.

They then pull up to their destination, smashing their vehicle through the glass walls of the bottom floor. The minute they get out, we get the quick juxtaposition from the laid back vibe on the drive to how all-business they can be in fight, with them all doing fairly brutal takedowns of the soldiers attacking them, as Ghost, the most notably superpowered of the bunch, uses her phasing abilities.

The fight is then interrupted by the voice of Valentina, who tells them to come upstairs - though Bucky still punches out the guy he was fighting. It turns out they’re in what was once Avengers Tower!

In the top floor where Tony Stark once declared “We have a Hulk,” Valentina talks about how expensive it was to buy the building, and then laughs about the unlikely group in front of her - as she and Yelena face off about Valentina pitting them all against each other, only for them to become a team. Valentina goes through the group one-by-one, throwing out insults, calling John Walker “Jr. Varsity Captain America.”

However, she doesn’t recognize Red Guardian at all, asking who “Santa” is, infuriating him. On the flip side, Valentina seems to know Ghost quite well, casually calling her “Ava.” She then mocks Bucky’s brief time as a congressman (he was running for office in Captain America: Brave New World), saying it’s embarrassing he only served less than half a term.

Bucky lunges at Valentina when an unseen force stops him in his tracks, making him unable to move. That’s when we see boots coming down the stairs, clearly belonging to the Sentry, and get glimpses of him wiping the floor with the team (though we still don’t see him fully in the shots included).

TRON: Ares Footage Shows the Digital World Entering the Real World

4 avril 2025 à 03:16

New footage from TRON: Ares was unveiled today at Disney’s CinemaCon presentation by two of its stars, Oscar winners Jared Leto and Jeff Bridges.

The footage revealed the havoc unleashed when the highly sophisticated Program, Ares, enters the real world from the digital world. It’s humanity’s first encounter with AI beings and judging from this footage, it’s not the most cordial of meetings.

Leto plays Ares, who is on a dangerous mission to our world which brings him into contact with Bridges’ Kevin Flynn, the protagonist of the prior two TRON films.

The footage showed Ares on his red-tinged light cycle zooming through a real-world city pursued by police cars who are no match to catch him. The overwhelmed citizens are terrified by the sight of a giant hovering Recognizer looming over them. There was a quick shot of Gillian Anderson’s character, who appears to be a business executive.

The emphasis of the footage -- which boasted music by Nine Inch Nails -- was on wild video game elements invading the real-world and the sort of terror and destruction they can yield.

At one point, we hear Flynn say, “Are you ready? Because there’s no going back.” And then we see Ares suiting up for action.

The cast also includes Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, and Cameron Monaghan.

Directed by Joachim Rønning, TRON: Ares zooms into theaters on October 10, 2025.

Avatar: Fire and Ash Footage Introduced New Na'vi Allies and Adversaries

4 avril 2025 à 02:17

In a pre-recorded message to CinemaCon from his post-production facility in New Zealand, James Cameron introduced Zoe Saldaña to present the first-ever footage from Avatar: Fire and Ash, in theaters December 19th.

“The Sully family are really put through the ringer on this one as they face not only the human invaders, but new adversaries: the Ash People,” Cameron said in his introduction.

Roughly five minutes from the film were presented in 3D, two sequences followed by a sizzle reel. The focus of the footage presented to an audience of theater execs and press was to show an expanded look at new corners and cultures in the world of Pandora.

Two new groups of Na’vi are introduced in this third Avatar film: the Tlalim clan, aka the Windtraders, and the Mangkwan Clan, aka the Ash People. The former are nomads who “sail” the skies like sailors from the Golden Age of Sail, while the latter are baddies who have rejected their deity and the ways of the Na’vi after a volcano left their homeland a desolate wreck covered in ash.

David Thewlis plays Peylak, the leader of the Windtraders, while Oona Chaplin plays the Ash People’s sinister leader, Varang. Both are featured in the footage that was shown at CinemaCon, which began with a series of images showing the expanded look at Pandora.

Then a sequence shows Jake Sully, Neytiri, their kids Lo’ak and Tuk, Kiri, and Spider living among the high-flying Windtraders whose sky boats fly with membrane-like sails that look like jellyfish. They’re then attacked from above by a raiding party of Ash People.

It then transitioned into more of an extended trailer featuring lots of action and battles in the air and land, with Varang at one point telling Neytiri that “her God has no dominion here.”

The footage – which was as eye-popping and visceral as viewers have come to expect from the Avatar films – was presented in 3D and in a high frame rate to provide an immersive, sensory experience.

Tom Cruise Honors Val Kilmer Before Revealing New Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning Trailer

3 avril 2025 à 22:48

Tom Cruise was at Paramount Pictures’ CinemaCon presentation Thursday to promote his upcoming film Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning, but before he did he paid tribute to his Top Gun co-star Val Kilmer, who died Tuesday, by asking the audience of theater executives and press for a moment of silence to honor him.

“I’d like to honor a dear friend of mine, Val Kilmer. I really can’t tell you how much I admire his work, how much I thought of him as a human being, how honored I was when he joined Top Gun and came back for Top Gun: Maverick,” Cruise said.

“I think it would be great if we could all just take a moment and think about all the wonderful times we had with him. Would you all mind doing that? Let’s just take a moment.”

When the moment of silence concluded, Cruise said, “We wish you well on your next journey.”

Cruise spoke at length about the Mission: Impossible franchise overall, hailing the key studio executives and creative collaborators of all the past films in the decades-old film series.

Cruise then gave a lengthy speech praising the franchise’s four-time director, Christopher McQuarrie, recalling the herculean efforts the latter went through helming Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One during the COVID-19 pandemic. Cruise then presented McQuarrie with CinemaCon’s “Director of the Year” award.

The duo concluded the Paramount presentation by introducing the new trailer for The Final Reckoning. The action-packed ride incorporated footage from past films, particularly the CIA break-in sequence from the Brian De Palma-directed 1996 original.

The trailer features returning cast members Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Hayley Atwell, Vanessa Kirby, Angela Bassett, Pom Klementieff, Esai Morales, Henry Czerny, Shea Whigham, and Rolf Saxon as well as new additions like Nick Offerman (playing an intelligence official who can’t quite believe all the crazy things his colleagues say Ethan Hunt has done over the years).

Ethan is a manacled prisoner for a good portion of the trailer, but is then seen in action on everything from a biplane to an aircraft carrier as he and his IMF mates must once again try to save the world from a deadly weapon.

There’s a grim, No Time to Die-like vibe to the trailer that definitely paints a bleak picture of Ethan Hunt’s chances of survival in a film dubbed The Final Reckoning.

Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning cruises into theaters on May 23, 2025.

Masters of the Universe: First Footage from Amazon MGM Movie Revealed Incredibly Toy-Accurate Designs

3 avril 2025 à 17:40

At CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Amazon MGM gave attendees a first look at what to expect from next year’s new Masters of the Universe film - and what they showed was very promising.

With the film only recently beginning production, no actual completed footage was shown, but rather a message from set from director Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings, Bumblebee) and stars Nicholas Galitzine (“He-Man”) and Camila Mendes (“Teela”), followed by a montage of behind-the-scenes/on-set footage mixed with production artwork.

Knight noted he grew up a huge Masters of the Universe fan, which feels apparent seeing the designs for the film, which are incredibly accurate to the original toy line and animated series from the 1980s - much like what Knight did in Bumblebee with the Transformers. Production artwork of characters like the Sorceress (Morena Baccarin) and Evil-Lyn (Alison Brie) looked right out of the source material and were instantly recognizable.

Some of the characters actually shown on set in the midst of production included Trap Jaw (Sam C. Wilson) and Tri-Klops (Kojo Attah), and it was amazing how much they truly looked like the original toys in a slightly more modernized form, with someone like Trap Jaw still retaining all of his recognizable elements, including his gun arm, blue body and green face - and yes, a trap jaw! It appears Knight has managed the delicate balancing act of keeping these bigger than life characters looking wild and cool, without feeling too goofy in live-action form.

Brief on set footage of Jared Leto as Skeletor kept him in the shadows, but production art and glimpses of makeup being applied indicate he will likely also be sporting the character’s blue skin from the toy line, unlike the version in the 1987 Masters of the Universe movie.

Galitzine looked appropriately buff and blond to play He-Man, having gained a lot of muscle mass from how he looked in movies like Red, White & Royal Blue and Bottoms, and we saw glimpses of the weight and fight training he’s gone through for the film - and got a look at He-Man’s iconic Power Sword, looking appropriately intimidating. We also saw Mendes getting in some stunt work, including running along a wall with the aid of a harness.

The only thing that felt odd, given He-Man’s typical fictional background, were moments on set showing Adam, He-Man’s alter-ego, in what looked like an American suburban bedroom. The 1987 film notably saved money by having most of the story involve He-Man transported to Earth, but it feels very unlikely that will occur again here, as we saw huge sets had been built for Eternia in the footage. But is there some sort of set-up with Adam mistakenly believing he’s an Earthling initially for some reason? That might explain the role Agatha All Along’s Sasheer Zamata is playing, a character with the very normal-sounding name “Suzie,” who has been described as Adam’s best friend.

Time will tell, with Masters of the Universe set to open June 5, 2026.

Wicked: For Good and Jurassic World Rebirth Dominate Universal's CinemaCon

3 avril 2025 à 08:34

While Universal Pictures (along with Focus Features) showcased several of their upcoming films at CinemaCon on Wednesday, it was more noteworthy which titles on their slate they opted not to promote to theater executives and the press.

In the past, Universal would unveil first look footage of movies in production or break news about their biggest franchises. This year, the studio merely name-checked some of their most eagerly anticipated 2026 titles: Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, Super Mario Bros. Movie 2, Shrek 5, Steven Spielberg’s untitled sci-fi film, or Jordan Peele’s next directorial effort.

Notably, Fast and Furious 11 wasn’t even mentioned.

Instead, Universal’s presentation mostly consisted of playing new trailers for their 2025 films, kicking things off with Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali and director Gareth Edwards debuting the next trailer for Jurassic World Rebirth.

Johansson joked that she pitched herself to executive producer Steven Spielberg “and said I’d play any role, even if I was eaten in the first five minutes.”

While Johansson clearly doesn’t die in the opening moments of Jurassic World Rebirth, one of the highlights of the new trailer was a high seas chase sequence where the heroes are in a boat pursuing a Mosasaurus and Johansson ends up hanging on for dear life.

New trailers were also shown for The Bad Guys 2, Nobody 2, Him (produced by Jordan Peele), and Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie. Ditto Blumhouse titles M3GAN 2.0, SOULM8TE, Black Phone 2, and Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. Focus Features showed trailers for three upcoming prestige films: The Phoenician Scheme, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, and Bugonia.

Gerard Butler, Nico Parker and director Dean DeBlois made an appearance to promote the live-action remake of How to Train Your Dragon, which screened in its entirety earlier in the day at the convention. The biggest news from this section was that there will be a live-action How to Train Your Dragon 2 and that it will be released in theaters on June 11, 2027.

Universal closed their CinemaCon 2025 presentation with Wicked: For Good, where stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo and director Jon M. Chu and producer Marc Platt took the stage to reveal the new trailer for the sequel, which hits theaters on November 21st.

The trailer leans into the tragic falling out between Elphaba and Glinda. “You’re the only friend I’ve ever had,” Elphaba tells Glinda. “And I’ve had so many friends,” Glinda replies. “But you’re the only one that mattered.”

The footage also revealed performances of the musical’s songs “For Good” and “No Good Deed,” and provided more glimpses of the Wizard of Oz (Jeff Goldblum) including his meeting with Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion.

For more CinemaCon coverage, find out what we learned about Superman, Mortal Kombat II, Resident Evil, Spider-Man: Brave New Day, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, John Wick 5, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, and The Beatles.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Trailer Ratchets Up the Animatronic Horror

3 avril 2025 à 02:32

The first trailer for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 was screened at Blumhouse and Universal’s CinemaCon presentation on Wednesday before being released online. Producer Jason Blum made it clear to attendees that, unlike the original film, the sequel will open only in theaters on December 5, 2025, and not day-and-date on Peacock.

You can watch the trailer via the player above or the embed below.

“Anyone can survive five nights. This time, there will be no second chances<’ declares the film’s official logline.

Based on Scott Cawthon’s blockbuster game series, the original Five Nights at Freddy’s was Blumhouse’s biggest box office hit when it opened in theaters in 2023 as well as the highest-grossing horror film of that year.

Emma Tammi returns to direct the sequel and Scott Cawthon are producing. Actors Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, and Matthew Lillard all reprise their respective roles.

New Footage From Mortal Kombat II, Final Destination 6 and More Was Shown by Warner Bros. at CinemaCon

2 avril 2025 à 18:49

While some new footage from Superman was shown at the event as the big closer, the Warner Bros. presentation at CinemaCon was surprisingly light on any big announcements or reveals, like most studios do, including for anything about what’s to come for DC Studios beyond Superman - no footage from the currently filming Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow was shown, nor updates on forthcoming projects like Clayface.

Instead, the studio kept things very focused on the films they have coming out this year, including the reveal of the first footage from Mortal Kombat II - although, disappointingly, only in the midst of montages with other films rather than getting its own focus or longer clip or trailer played. So what did we see that stood out beyond Superman? Here are the other WB highlights from CinemaCon.

Mortal Kombat II

As mentioned above, Mortal Kombat II was one of a couple of New Line films – The Conjuring: Last Rights was the other – tha unfortunately didn’t get their own spotlight during the presentation, leaving us with only some tantalizing glimpses to go on. So what did we see? That Karl Urban as Johnny Cage looks like a blast.

Bringing exactly the kind of bravado you’d expect from Urban playing this role, Urban was first spotted in an overall sizzle reel of WB’s year ahead, as Johnny Cage faces off with Lord Raiden (Tadanobu Asano), with both surrounded by Raiden’s lightning. This sizzle reel also showed the crowd-pleasing moment of Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada) yelling his trademark “Get over here!” as he shoots his Kunai from both hands simultaneously in a cool shot done towards the camera.

The second sizzle reel containing Mortal Kombat II footage was New Line-focused, and it’s there we saw Urban speak for the first time - most notably as he yells “I am Johnny fucking Cage!” in just the kind of growling voice Urban’s known for. That was followed by seeing Johnny grinning as he declares “It’s showtime!” Very quick shots of various characters fighting were also included in this New Line sizzle reel.

F1

The first ten minutes of the upcoming racing film were shown, with an intro by director Joseph Kosinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer, the latter of whom noted the massive box office of the duo’s previous collaboration, Top Gun: Maverick, before boldly declaring “We’re here to do it again.”

The footage shown definitely had the Maverick vibe when it came to putting you right inside this insane experience, with the cameras locked down both inside and outside the racing cars. An opening race, introducing Pitt’s Sonny Hayes, had some spectacular shots as Sonny and his rival for first place speed alongside each other while fireworks explode above them. These were very exciting, dynamic shots, as we see the fireworks reflected in the windshields of the cars as they dangerously speed along the track.

The Bride!

This new take on The Bride of Frankenstein is written and directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal, who said she wanted to both expand the Bride as a character – who only appears in the original Universal film in the last few minutes – while also focusing on what she described as “The punkest love that’s ever existed. It’s like Bonnie and Clyde, Wild at Heart…”

Gyllenhaal spoke about embracing IMAX for the film, noting “We sometimes go inside our characters' minds and in those moments we will in most of the theaters grow [the aspect ratio].”

The Bonnie and Clyde influence was apparent in the footage shown, which depicts the violent death of a woman (Jessie Buckley) who will be brought back as the Bride, as she falls down a staircase and snaps her neck. The film looks to be set a bit later than the typical Frankenstein story, with a 1930s-look allowing for more of those Bonnie and Clyde vibes, including the Bride sporting blond hair and a red dress. At one point Frankenstein’s Monster (Christian Bale) is seen killing a man in front of the Bride, smashing him into a wall over and over before telling the Bride “Till death do us part.”

A final shot, in black and white, has the Bride’s head in a jar as she smiles and says “Monsterous” to the camera.

Final Destination: Bloodlines

An extended sequence was shown from the sixth film in the Final Destination film and it was wild - ending in a hugely gory and graphic moment that had the audience both screaming and cheering.

It’s clear this film leans far into the dark comedy of the Final Destination series, as we see two brothers – Erik (Richard Harmon) and Bobby (Owen Joyner) – go to a hospital with the plan to outsmart Death as it hunts them. Erik wants to kill Bobby, via Bobby’s lethal peanut allergy, then rush him down the hall to the hospital’s emergency room where he will be resuscitated.

Suffice to say, this plan doesn’t work out, as the random room they sneak into contains the hospital’s MRI machine which, in classic Final Destination fashion, gets turned on and goes out of control with its powerful magnet beginning to pull anything metal towards it with Magneto-level intensity - which includes Erik’s many, many piercings, which we soon discover he has in every place they possibly could be on his body.

…Yes, in that place too. You know the one. Yes, you’ll be wincing.

Weapons

Barbarian director Zach Cregger returns with this film, and an early trailer we saw gave us the intriguing set-up, as a small town elementary school teacher (Julia Garner) goes to work one day to discover her entire class hasn’t shown up. It turns out these kids all got up at the exact same time in the middle of the night, walked out of their homes, and vanished. Josh Brolin is seen, presumably as one of the parents of the children who vanished, angrily yelling, “Why her classroom? Why ONLY hers?!”

There was a lot of very creepy footage here, including a sequence where Garner is seen walking into a darkened, nightmare version of the classroom where the kids are sitting at their desks grinning at her and a glimpse of a suitably creepy guy outside in the woods, waving.

One Battle After Another

On the heels of the release of the first trailer for the upcoming Paul Thomas Anderson film, CinemaCon had an appearance from stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Regina Hall, and Teyana Taylor, along with the debut of a scene from the movie.

In the scene, DiCaprio’s Bob Ferguson is seen alongside Benicio del Toro’s character. Bob’s making a call to someone and he’s a mess while doing it, as he demands to know the rendezvous point to meet up with his daughter. Bob keeps trying to get the guy on the call to help him, even though he doesn’t have all the right information, explaining he used to be part of their same revolutionary group decades before, but “The only problem is I fried my brain since then. I’ve abused drugs and alcohol for 30 years now. I’m a drug and alcohol lover. “

It’s a very funny scene, and the whole time Bob is nearly out of control, del Toro’s character is calmly walking around the apartment they’re in, before picking up and loading a rifle.

A closing montage includes del Toro describing someone as having ““No fear! He’s like Tom Fucking Cruise!” while Sean Penn’s character, asked about a rival, says his response is “I would say they were a liar who has no business in society.”

Warner Bros. Animation / Dynamic Duo / The Cat in the Hat

There was also a section of the WB presentation focused on Warner Bros. Animation, which felt awkward, timing-wise, given the studio notoriously would not release and sold off two recent Looney Tunes Projects - The Day the Earth Blew Up and Coyote vs. Acme.

Yet despite that, amongst the upcoming films WB Animation said they were working on, one was simply titled Looney Toons, though no details on it were given beyond the title card. Their slate also includes a new Tom and Jerry movie, Emily the Strange and Meet the Flintstones. The latter did have some footage included in a sizzle reel, as computer-animated versions of Fred and Barney are seen in a car chase sequence (their feet will get a workout!) that includes a shot that was an homage to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, with Fred and Barney in place of the car attendants as their car jumps over a hill.

Also shown in extremely quick sizzle reel form was the first footage from Dynamic Duo, the upcoming DC project focused on Robins Dick Grayson and Jason Todd. There was a quick shot of characters seen from behind that were likely Dick and Jason on a subway, but even these tiny glimpses looked very fascinating visually. You can see the mixture of puppetry and animation the filmmakers are using, with lots of shadows incorporated - it was very moody and atmospheric.

The main focus of WB Animation’s segment at CinemaCon was for their new Cat in the Hat film, starring Bill Hader as the voice of the Cat. WB Animation’s Bill Damaschke noted this film will launch their “Suesseverse” (they also have Oh, the Places You’ll Go in the works). The early trailer we saw kind of feels like a twist on Monsters, Inc, with the Cat in the Hat working for a larger organization who brings imagination to kids. At one point, we see Thing 1 and Thing 3 standing next to each other. That’s right Thing 3, not Thing 2 - because we then get the reveal of a giant group of Things with different numbers on their shirts, all having invaded a suburban home.

Val Kilmer Dies: Batman Forever, The Doors and Tombstone Star Was 65

2 avril 2025 à 06:32

Val Kilmer -- star of Batman Forever, The Doors, and Tombstone -- died at age 65 on April 1, 2025, The New York Times reports and Variety has confirmed.

The actor had battled cancer for years -- losing his ability to speak due to throat cancer -- but his cause of death was reportedly pneumonia, according to his daughter, Mercedes Kilmer.

A Los Angeles native, the actor was born on December 31, 1959. Kilmer, a Juilliard-trained stage actor, starred on Broadway in Slab Boys opposite Sean Penn and Kevin Bacon before his big screen breakthrough in the comedy Top Secret! in 1984.

Kilmer followed that with another comedy, Real Genius, before finding broader mainstream success as Tom Cruise's rival "Ice Man" in 1986's Top Gun. (In one of his final screen appearances, Kilmer reprised the role for Top Gun: Maverick.) He also played the charismatic swordsman Madmartigan in director Ron Howard's fantasy film Willow.

Kilmer's stardom reached its zenith in the early to mid-1990s when he won many accolades for playing two dissolute historical figures: rock star Jim Morrison in Oliver Stone's The Doors and outlaw John "Doc" Holliday in Tombstone.

By the mid-'90s, Kilmer starred in two Warner Bros. films that added to his career luster. He succeeded Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne in Batman Forever, but would only play the Caped Crusader that one time. (Kilmer famously clashed with its director, Joel Schumacher, who nevertheless sang the actor's praises as Batman.) Kilmer then played a key member of Robert DeNiro's bank robbery crew in the Michael Mann crime classic Heat. He also played the ghost of Elvis Presley in the Quentin Tarantino-scripted True Romance.

Kilmer's star began to wane in the latter 1990s as some of his films underperformed and his reputation for being difficult on set spread. In those years, Kilmer starred in films such as Thunderheart, The Saint, The Real McCoy, The Island of Doctor Moreau, The Prince of Egypt, The Ghost and the Darkness, and At First Sight.

He worked throughout the 2000s mostly in smaller indie films (The Salton Sea, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) or supporting roles in much larger movies (Oliver Stone's Alexander, Deja Vu). He portrayed porn star John Holmes in Wonderland and starred opposite Nicolas Cage in Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans.

In the latter 2000s. Kilmer often returned to his stage roots with his one-man show about Mark Twain.

Kilmer endured many financial, professional and health hardships in the latter half of his career, including a diagnosis of throat cancer that robbed him of his voice. Kilmer would act in a few direct-to-video films after that where another actor would dub his character's voice.

In 2021, Kilmer's personal life and career were chronicled in the documentary Val, wherein the actor opened up about his private demons and the professional behavior that may have derailed what could have been a longer and more successful career as a leading man.

Crediting Tom Cruise for fighting to include him, Kilmer's last major film appearance was in 2022's Top Gun: Maverick.

Val Kilmer is survived by his children Mercedes and Jack.

Superman: Extended Preview to Play Before A Minecraft Movie

2 avril 2025 à 03:45

An extended sneak peek from James Gunn’s Superman will be shown ahead of A Minecraft Movie screenings in theaters this weekend, but it was first shown by Warner Bros. at their CinemaCon presentation on Tuesday.

DC Studios bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran were on hand along with lead actors David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult to promote the film.

The preview focuses on the "take me home" scene from the trailer where a wounded Superman is saved by his super-pet Krypto. However, this preview also features Superman's automatons and our longest, best look yet at the Fortress of Solitude.

However, it's Krypto's crazy dogness and misbehavior that stole the show. Gunn recalled how Krypto's depiction is inspired by his own rescue dog.
