It’s a great fixture to look forward to. Like I said yesterday when people asked, not that many did, I told them how well Inter have started the season, that they made two of the last three finals.

[On his team selection] At this moment in time I have 13 outfield players with Champions League experience available. If you don’t have wingers available, apart from Rio [Ngumoha] who is very young, playing with two No9s is the most logical thing to do. The more [Isak and Ekitike] play together, the more they will find a connection.

Internazionale’s last home defeat in Europe was against Bayern Munich on 7 September 2022. Since then they’ve won 15 and drawn three, including victories over Barcelona (twice), Arsenal and Milan.

Fulham v Crystal Palace: Premier League – live

7 décembre 2025 à 18:43

9 min: Good effort by Smith Rowe Iwobi, on the left, curls a wicked inswinging corner that brushes a Palace head and flies over the bar for another corner.

This time it’s on the right. Iwobi clips it deliberately towards Smith Rowe, unmarked 10 yards out at the near post. He watches the bounce and twists his body to crack a shot that hits Guehi and flies over the bar. Lovely effort though, a variation on the old Anderton/Sheringham corner.

74th over: Australia 379-6 (Carey 47, Neser 15) Stokes starts around the wicket to the left-handed Alex Carey. Two slips in place. The first ball is defended for a dot and the next is guided behind point for a single that brings up the fifty partnership between Carey and Neser. It’s a wounding one for England.

Stokes bustles through the over, finding a good length and four dots to Neser. Brydon Carse is going to start from the other end, he had a bruising day yesterday, a couple of wickets here would take the edge off.

Australia v England: Ashes second Test, day two – live reaction

5 décembre 2025 à 13:06

England dropped five catches before Australia finished a dramatic day on 378 for six, a lead of 44

75th over: England 329-9 (Root 137, Archer 34) In his second Test, Doggett was ineffective yesterday, finishing with 0-74. He starts today with a short ball. Root pulls it but finds a fielder. He steers the second one behind square for a single. Jofra Archer adds another run to his highest Test score, swatting another short one. The easy runs for England continue as Root swipes to fine leg. Archer does likewise, ducking and hooking. Four singles, zero threat.

Here we go. Brendan Doggett will open the attack for Australia and he’ll be bowling to Joe Root on 135.
