Fortnite Chapter 6 Finale Event Trailer Teases Godzilla and Kill Bill Appearances as Chapter Seven Looms

19 novembre 2025 à 23:10

Epic Games is teasing an explosive return to Fortnite story content with a Chapter 6 Zero Hour Finale Live Event teaser trailer that packs in heavy-hitter cameos ahead of the inevitable launch of Chapter Seven.

The description for the new Fortnite story video teases that some familiar faces will “assemble in the final endgame to save reality,” and the footage proves it. In just 30 seconds, we see Jonesy dodging giant tentacle monster attacks as Godzilla, King Kong, and Star Wars X-Wings battle overhead. Naturally, a giant, half-naked Homer Simpson then shows up before Uma Thurman’s Kill Bill character, The Bride, swoops in, with the trailer then finally telling players to expect the Fortnite Chapter 6 Zero Hour Finale event to take place November 29 at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET.

There’s a lot to unpack here, but the reveal most will pick up off the bat is that Kill Bill appearance. Fans have spent weeks speculating about how Quentin Tarantino’s legendary action series may soon find representation in Fortnite, with today’s teaser finally revealing a first look.

It’s an unveiling that will also surely reinforce rumors that Tarantino himself is involved in some of Epic’s upcoming festivities, with some believing the filmmaker directed its new cinematic. There’s been no official word on what exactly the big finale has in store, but with some eagle-eyed fans already spotting a Fortnite-related premiere at Tarantino’s The Vista Theatre in Los Angeles, the evidence is only getting harder to deny.

As everyone from Godzilla to Homer stomps in for what is poised to be one of the biggest Fortnite events ever, fans can’t help but look forward to how Chapter Seven may shake up the long-running live-service experience’s formula. Some believe Epic is dropping hints that The Seven, a star-studded group that has largely been MIA from Fortnite story content for years, could somehow make a comeback for the Seven-themed Chapter, for example.

Should The Seven return to Epic’s grand video game multiverse, it would likely mean the stars who play them, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Brie Larson, would be back, too. We should find out more about the Fortnite Chapter 6 Zero Hour Finale and Chapter Seven in the coming weeks

In the meantime, players have spent November gallivanting around none other than The Simpsons’ Springfield, as the long-running animated series made its debut with themed skins, Easter Eggs, and more. It’s a crossover that’s been particularly successful for Epic, with players also enjoying the new Sidekicks feature and the return of the Omniverse.

Battlefield 6 Update Quickly Fixes Defibrillators After Support Players Report Strict Revive Requirements

19 novembre 2025 à 18:02

The Battlefield 6 team has reversed its defibrillator changes for the Support class after players reported recent difficulty reviving teammates.

EA and Battlefield Studios delivered a series of new adjustments via a small update that is live for players across PC and consoles now. Details about the hot fix, which were published in a post on X/Twitter, highlight a fix for those pesky defibrillators, as well as tweaks to the new limited-time Sabotage game mode and additional challenges changes.

Players took to social media to complain of inconsistent defibrillators following the launch of the Battlefield 6 California Resistance update yesterday. Where previous versions of the game had players using the Support gadget to slide and dive in for last-second saves, changes brought about by update 1.1.2.0 instead asked players to slowly and precisely use the tool if they wanted to revive their friends. It’s resulted only in confusion, as the demanding requirements left teammates with what has been perceived as either a new bug or a bizarre nerf without any explanation.

“At first I thought it was just a pointless range nerf,” one comment says, “but it's also much more inconsistent and easy to get bodies bugged into a state where the defib doesn't work at all, and you have to grab / drag them.

“Overall, I hate it, but that second part of it makes me think it wasn't really intentional.”

The Battlefield 6 team didn’t clarify what caused faulty defibrillators to pollute matches, but it sounds like they didn’t like the change either. Today’s hotfix reverts the gadget back to how it was before yesterday’s update by increasing hit-boxes and range.

Meanwhile, Sabotage game mode has had its AFK kick timer increased from 60 seconds to 180 seconds. Bot backfilling for the mode has also been temporarily disabled and will be reintroduced in the future.

Finally, there’s challenges, which have benefited from frequent adjustments as BF Studios continues to fine-tune its progression system. Today’s Battlefield 6 update targets clarity while reducing requirements for a few of the harder-to-achieve challenges. You can see the full list of every challenge change below.

Battlefield 6 launched for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S October 10 and is currently in the midst of its first post-launch season. So far, Season 1 has introduced two new maps, with the most recent, Eastwood, arriving as part of the California Resistance mid-season update yesterday. Another content update called Winter Offensive will follow December 9.

BF Studios has consistently delivered updates aimed at tackling fan feedback in the month since its launch. Highlights include a new (expensive) skin pack, a fix for that notorious sledgehammer drone exploit, and even toned-down colors for a few controversial infantry skins. Plans for more changes were outlined in a community update last week.

'Rascals!' – Battlefield 6 Players Torn as 323 Pack Puts a High Price on Grounded Skins

19 novembre 2025 à 10:14

Battlefield 6 players are split after the new 323 cosmetic pack introduced a collection of grounded infantry skins... and a $24 price tag.

EA and Battlefield Studios published their California Resistance Season 1 update today, adding a laundry list of fixes and features alongside a fresh store update. With another free gift and more cosmetics in rotation, Battlefield 6 fans hoping to see more grounded skins were happy to find The 323 pack cosmetic pack brings exactly the kind of customization options they were looking for.

"Yes DICE, these are the skins we want!" one popular Reddit post says. The downside, though, is players will have to cough up some serious cash if they want to wear them.

“Four American soldiers from different walks of life suddenly find themselves as the only defense when Pax Armata assaults the town of Eastwood,” a description for Battlefield 6’s The 323 skin pack says. “This guerrilla unit makes do with anything on hand, and clears through urban conflict block by block.”

For 2,400 Battlefield Coins, or $24 USD, you get the Class skins seen above, as well as access to the 323 unit and a few other cosmetics. There is an in-game bundle option to purchase 2,400 Battlefield Coins for $19.99, but it’s far from enough to stop players from dropping their jaws as they see how much these otherwise well-received skins cost.

“Obviously the most beautiful (and appropriate) ones are paid for, and on the battle pass they put the colored fluorescent ones that can see you at 100km,” one popular comment says. “Rascals!”

“It’s s**t like this that makes me realize I am not the target audience of this game,” another adds. “I’m the wrong kind of financially irresponsible to pay for garbage like this lol.”

The goofy skin debate has been nearly inescapable since Battlefield 6 launched for PC and consoles on October 10. It’s a movement that has seen vocal fans calling out some of the more vibrant infantry skins in the hope of warding off the controversial outfits seen in other shooters like Call of Duty. Even as BF Studios worked to address some of the more divisive skins, it’s remained one of the few topics the Battlefield community just can’t seem to shake.

High prices now add a new wrinkle to the discourse as fans weigh the value The 323 pack adds to the Battlefield 6 experience. As fears of goofy skins have mounted, so too have comments from select players who declared they would pay for high-quality grounded skins should they ever come to multiplayer. Now that The 323 pack is here with a high price tag and pages are dominated by dissatisfaction, other Battlefield 6 fans have been quick to fire back.

“That’s what y’all were asking for lol,” one Reddit user said. “Can’t even count the number of post where people said they would be willing to just give money for grounded skins rather than do challenges or if dice added grounded skins in the shop they would give them money.

“Also tired of people acting like theirs no grounded skin options, legit every launch skin (I guess other than the mastery skins because of the orange lol) are grounded.”

Another user replied: “Maybe if they were a reasonable price, sure. But a $20+ bundle? In a game we already paid $70+ for?”

While Battlefield 6 players continue to work out their disagreements about cosmetics, others are diving into the content introduced in today’s 1.1.2.0 update. These include the new Eastwood map and new weapons, as well as a host of bug fixes for both the base game and its REDSEC offshoot. More hot topics, such as map sizes, are said to be under review as Season 1 presses on.

Twisted Metal Season 3 Gets the Green Light at Peacock as the PlayStation Series' Showrunner Departs

18 novembre 2025 à 22:20

Twisted Metal Season 3 has reportedly received the green light at Peacock but will return without its original showrunner.

An update for the future of PlayStation’s Twisted Metal TV adaptation comes from Variety, which says more episodes for the Anthony Mackie-starring series are on the way. A shakeup, however, means co-creator and showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith won’t be attached going forward.

It’s unclear why Smith is departing the video-game-to-live-action-show project. David Reed, known for his work as a writer for The Boys, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and The Magicians, will board as showrunner and an executive producer under an overall deal with Sony Pictures Television for Season 3 instead.

A Season 3 renewal for Twisted Metal arrives after the Season 2 premiere in July, as the show continues to bring in viewers. NBCUniversal states the 12-episode run has reached 993 million minutes viewed so far.

Twisted Metal began bringing iconic PlayStation characters to television screens when Season 1 premiered in 2023. It stars Mackie as John Doe, with characters like Calypso, Agent Stone, and Mr. Grimm played by Anthony Carrigan, Thomas Haden Church, and Richard de Klerk, respectively. There’s also, of course, franchise mascot Sweet Tooth, who is portrayed by Joe Seanoa and voiced by Will Arnett.

Twisted Metal is a franchise that has gone without a proper video game entry for 13 years, but that isn’t stopping Peacock from bringing its cartoonish vehicle combat to streaming audiences. Co-creators Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are back as executive producers for Season 3, with Arnett and Marc Forman also on board via Electric Ave. Mackie will return as an executive producer through Make It Gravy Productions, with Inspire Entertainment’s Jason Spire, Artists First’s Peter Principato, PlayStation Productions’ Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan, and Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Hermen Hulst also attached.

Details on how Twisted Metal Season 3 will continue the story remain a mystery, with release date plans and casting details also under wraps. In the meantime, you can read why we think Season 2 deserved a 7/10 in our review. You can also read about the canceled Twisted Metal game that was revealed earlier this year.

Battlefield 6 Surprise Update Addresses Escalation Feedback With Increased Objective Capture Time

18 novembre 2025 à 17:42

The Battlefield 6 team snuck in a few extra changes alongside the California Resistance Season 1 update today, revealing changes for Escalation, challenges, and player profile kill/death statistics.

Last-minute additions to today’s 1.1.2.0 update arrived in the form of a surprise social media post this morning, just a few hours after the gargantuan patch targeted some of the fan feedback EA and Battlefield Studios have received in recent weeks. California Resistance most notably adds new map Eastwood into the mix, but these new bonus adjustments aren’t exactly anything to scoff at, and they’re already live.

Topping the list is a change players have been looking to see for one specific Battlefield 6 game mode: Escalation. BF Studios confirmed the tweaks, which increase objective capture time by about 20%, are a direct result of fan feedback.

“This change gives your squad more time to react, reposition, and coordinate vehicle spawns while maintaining the mode's fast-paced intensity,” the message says.

Lower on the totem pole of fixes is yet another fine-tuning for challenges. Where past updates have added clarity to and reduced requirements, this smaller, backend change implements a fix for completed challenges that failed to give players their rewards. Finally, BF Studios says player profiles will no longer reflect Portal kill and death statistics in the full kill/death count. Instead, only human kills will be recognized here, with an area for Portal kills set to arrive in a future update.

These are small but necessary changes for many, with Battlefield 6 players still enjoying all of the more substantial tweaks delivered with update 1.1.2.0 and California Resistance earlier today. In addition to Eastwood, new guns, and new features, the update reverts aim assist settings back to those seen during the August open beta while also continuing to tackle weapon bloom and dispersion. You can see the full patch notes, which detail an update meant to make gunplay smoother for all, here.

Battlefield 6 is well on its way to its second month in the public’s hands, with more Season 1 content planned to launch in the coming weeks. In the time since its October 10 launch for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, BF Studios has rolled out major bug fixes, calmed goofy skin fears, and redefined its challenge system, all while promising to deliver more changes in the near future.

For more, you can check out our 8/10 Battlefield 6 multiplayer review. You can see why we gave its battle royale-focused offshoot, REDSEC, a 7/10.
