Ellen DeGeneres just bought another home in California as rumors swirl she’s leaving the UK

DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, left for the UK following the electoral win of Pres. Donald Trump -- and a new purchase in California raises eyebrows.

Just a year after decamping to the UK, Ellen DeGeneres is already signaling a move back toward the US, snapping up a $27.4 million off-market mansion in Montecito -- the same enclave where she and wife Portia de Rossi lived for years before relocating abroad.

The late-November purchase, from producer Brian Grazer, comes as the couple’s UK farmhouse in the Cotswolds has quietly sat on the market for six months, fueling speculation that their overseas chapter may already be winding down.

n. While DeGeneres initially embraced life in England --buying two properties, fast-tracking renovations, and publicly praising the countryside lifestyle- -the new California acquisition suggests a pivot back stateside.

The move is especially notable given that DeGeneres sold most of her other California holdings after the relocation, making this her first major US purchase since leaving.
