Get an Alienware RTX 4070 SUPER Gaming PC and 34" OLED Monitor Bundle for $2149

Par : Eric Song

As part of the Dell 4th of July Sale, Dell is offering this bundle: get an Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 4070 SUPER gaming PC for $1649.99 and add on a 34" Alienware AW3423DW OLED monitor for only $499. The total comes out to $2148.99. This PC is a great choice for comfortable 1080p or 1440p gaming, so it pairs well with this OLED gaming monitor with its 3440x1440 native resolution.

Buy an Alienware RTX 4070 SUPER Gaming PC for $1649.99, Get a 34" QD OLED Gaming Monitor for $499

The R16 is the most current Alienware Aurora gaming desktop. The R16 chassis is 40% smaller in volume compared to previous iterations. It features a simple yet proven airflow design; air is drawn in through a front 120mm fan as well as side intake vents over the GPU area. Both the CPU and GPU are supplied with fresh air from the outside instead of recirculating hot internal air. A generously sized 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler exhausts air out through the top.

This particular model is equipped with an Intel Core i7-14700F CPU, GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12GB GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The 14th-gen Intel Core i7-14700F Raptor Lake Refresh CPU boasts a max clock of 5.4GHz with 20 cores, 28 threads, and a 33MB cache. This is Intel's newest i7 chip and it boasts a higher clock speed, more cores, more threads, and more cache than the 13th-gen i7-13700 CPU. The "F" in 14700F simply means that the chip doesn't have onboard graphics (iGPU). That won't matter if you have a discrete GPU, which in this case is the RTX 4070 SUPER.

The RTX 4070 SUPER video card is a significant improvement in performance over the 4070. It's the perfect card for 1440p gaming, where it's about 10%-15% faster than the RTX 4070. The RTX 4070 SUPER also has 12GB of VRAM compared to the 4070's 8GB, so it's a superior GPU for AI image generation apps (like Stable Diffusion) and other programs that benefit from large amounts of VRAM. Like all RTX 40 series cards, the RTX 4070 SUPER supports DLSS 3.0 and superior ray tracing performance compared to similarly priced AMD GPUs. Check out our RTX 4070 SUPER review for more details.

The 34" Alienware AW3423DWF QD OLED Gaming Monitor Is an Outstanding Monitor for Only $499

The Alienware AW3423DWF is a 34" 3440x1440 monitor with a near instantaneous 0.03ms response time and a respectable 165Hz refresh rate. It uses a Samsung quantum dot OLED panel which is brighter than a traditional OLED panel without losing the color accuracy and range and wide viewing angles that OLEDs are known for. This particular monitor boasts a 99.3% DCI-P3 color range and is factory calibrated with a Delta E less than 2. It is HDR True Black 400 certified and can output up to 1,000nits of peak brightness.

We've reviewed the Alienware AW3423DWF monitor and absolutely loved it, even at its original $1099 MSRP. It's easily one of the best ultrawide gaming monitors on the market, especially at this price point.

Why Pick a Dell or Alienware Gaming PC?

The Alienware Aurora R16 was one of our picks for best prebuilt gaming PCs of 2024. Not everyone is the DIY type, and these days prebuilt gaming PC aren't that much more expensive than building your own computer. In fact, depending on the demand of certain components like the GPU, it might even be cheaper. Alienware gaming laptops and desktops offer a staggering array of options, all built into a custom chassis that's both easy on the eyes and easy on the wallet (as long as there's a deal). The newest Alienware gaming PCs have significantly improved their cooling performance, especially when you opt for the liquid cooled optikon. Consistent build quality, available inventory, frequent promotions, and solid customer service are the main reasons why Dell is at the top of our buying list.

The Massive 45" LG UltraGear 240Hz OLED Gaming Monitor Is Down to $850

Par : Eric Song

LG (direct) is offering a phenomenal deal on their biggest and best dedicated OLED gaming monitor. Right now you can get the LG UltraGear 45GR95QE 45" 240Hz OLED gaming monitor for only $849.99 after a $700 instant discount and $150 off coupon code "HECA14701". The 45GR95QE is one of the best ultra-widescreen gaming monitors on the market. This is a true OLED display with an ultra-wide 3440x1440 resolution and a blazing fast 240Hz refresh rate.

LG UltraGear 45" OLED Gaming Monitor for $849.99

The 45GR95QE is a 45" PC monitor with a 3440x1440 ultra-wide resolution and a very aggressive 800R curve for maximum immersion. Even though it's not 4K, it's still very sharp and detailed in games, media content, and just all around general purpose usage. The WQHD resolution is less taxing on GPUs as well, so you can get by with something like a GeForce RTX 3080 or RTX 4070. Unlike OLED TVs, which have very glossy displays with plenty of reflection and glare, the 45GR95QE features an anti-glare low reflection coating that's much better suited on a desk where you're no more than a few feet away from the monitor and you usually have ample amounts of lighting around you.

The best thing about the 45GR95QE is, of course, the OLED panel. OLEDs blows away any IPS, VA, or TN monitor in terms of HDR, black levels and color rendition, and LG has several generations of OLED releases under its belt. Unlike LG OLED TVs, which are capped at 120Hz, the 45GR95QE boasts a blazing fast 0.3ms response time (typical of OLEDs), and 240Hz refresh rate. It's also both G-SYNC and FreeSync certified and, unlike OLED TVs, have both an HDMI 2.1 and a DisplayPort 1.4 input for more flexible connectivity. Both options support up to 240Hz refresh rate with VRR.

There are some other welcome features that you'd only find in a dedicated gaming monitor as opposed to a TV that's been converted to a monitor, like an FPS counter, a crosshair overlay, a more practical stand that offers height, tilt and swivel adjustments, and a built-in USB hub. A 2 year warranty is included.

Check out our picks for the best gaming monitors of 2024.

The Jackery Explorer 31,000mAh Power Bank Is TSA Carry-on Eligible and Only $89.99

Par : Eric Song

Ahead of Prime Day, Amazon is offering Amazon Prime members the Jackery Explorer 100 31,000mAh Power Bank for only $89.99 after a $60 instant discount. That's the best price we've seen (beats the previous low by $10). This is the one of the largest capacity power banks we've seen that is TSA approved. It uses LiFePO4 battery cells, can charge 3 devices simultaneously, and boasts up to 100W charging output.

Jackery Explorer 100 31,000mAh Power Bank for $89.99

Amazon Prime member exclusive

At first glance the Jackery Explorer 100 looks like one of those large power stations you might use as a backup battery for your home. But actually, this thing is pretty small, small enough to fit on the palm of your hand. It measures only 5"x3.4"x3.4" and weighs about 2 pounds. This is a 99Whr power bank, which means it just barely squeezes its way under TSA's sub-100Whr requirement. With a 31,000mAh total capacity, this is definitely the largest TSA carry-on eligible power bank we've posted on IGN.

Unlike most smaller power banks which use lithium-ion cells, the Jackery Explorer 100 uses LiFePO4 cells. They're usually more expensive and also a bit heavier, but in exchange you get inherently safer battery chemistry and a much longer lifespan, both in terms of number of cycles and calendar aging.

The Jackery Explorer 100 has three outputs: two USB Type-C with PPS and Power Delivery up to 100W total, and a USB Type-A with 28W of charging for a total of 128W. The Steam Deck supports up to 45W max charging, the ASUS ROG Ally up to 65W, and the Nintendo Switch up to 18W. That means ou can charge a Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally, or Nintendo Switch at its maximum charging speed. In fact, you could almost charge all three at their maximum charging rate simultaneously.

Jackery is a well known brand. They sell both pocketable power banks and larger power stations. This particular power bank is UL 94V-0 certified and includes a 2 year warranty.

Save 50% Off the Ecoflow Delta 2 1024Wh LiFePO4 Power Station

Par : Eric Song

Amazon is offering Amazon Prime members the Ecoflow Delta 2 1024Wh LiFePO4 Power Station for only $499, which is 50% off the MSRP. You'll see this price only if you're logged into your Amazon Prime account. The previous best price we've seen this year was $629, so this is pretty significant savings. The Delta 2 is a high-capacity power station from a well regarded brand; it's equipped with LiFEPO4 battery cells, a safer and longer lasting option than the NCM batteries found in most other power stations.

Ecoflow Delta 2 1024Wh LiFePO4 Power Station for $499

Amazon Prime exclusive deal

The Ecoflow Delta 2 is a power station that can be charged by traditional AC or up to 500W of solar. It has six AC ports capable of up to 1800W max output, four standard USB Type-A ports (two with 18W fast charge), and two USB Type-C ports (with 100W Power Delivery). Although it's typical used as a mobile backup power solution when you have no available grid power, it can also work as an always-on passthrough AC power strip as well. It has an EPS function that will automatically swap to battery power when there is a power outage. Keep in mind, though, that it doesn't function exactly as a UPS because there is a small delay (about 30ms) before the switch. Some electronics like PCs may restart instead of staying on.

The huge 1024Whr battery can power your PC or small household appliances for hours instead of minutes. The Delta 2 uses the newer LiFePO4 cells instead of the traditional NCM sells you find in the original Delta. LiFePO4 cells have inherently safer chemistry and have a much higher cycle lifespan than NCM cells. They also have lower calendar aging. The only negatives of LiFEPO4 compared to NCM are the higher price and the lower energy density (heavier weight). That said, the Delta 2 weighs only 27 pounds, which is very respectable for a battery capacity of this size, and with this deal it's not much pricer than NCM alternatives.

Standard "UPS" battery backups like APC and CyberPower are cheaper because they use traditional lead acid batteries. As opposed to lithium batteries like LFP and NCM, lead acid batteries are super heavy, have a much shorter lifespan, and are far less efficient. This is the primary reason why your UPS battery backup should be replaced every 3-5 years. An LFP battery will generally retain at least 85% of its charge even after 10 years of service, and it will do so with even more usage than a lead acid battery.

The Delta 2 is a smart battery and thus you can change settings, check on its status, and power on or off outlets remotely, all from your phone. In my personal experience, Ecoflow has good product support and they are continuously rolling out new firmware and software updates. These are the main reasons why I would choose Ecoflow over other popular brands like Bluetti or Jackery, because Ecoflow seems to do a better job of standing by their products after the sale.

Gaming Monitor FAQ

What's the difference between G-Sync and FreeSync?

FreeSync and G-Sync are similar, using VRR technologies to synchronize the refresh rate of the display and the frame rate of the PC or console you’re gaming on. Both types of monitors have the same VESA Adaptive-Sync technical standard, and most FreeSync displays work as G-Sync-compatible, or vice versa, even if manufacturers can’t make the claim outright.

The only exceptions are G-Sync and G-Sync Ultimate monitors, which require additional hardware, only work with Nvidia GPUs, and handle adaptive sync through a display’s entire refresh rate — other VRR usually taps out around 48Hz. That means these monitors are often pricier.

What’s the best resolution for a gaming monitor?

The ideal resolution for your display really depends on your needs. If you’re after ultra-high refresh rates or have a more modest graphics card, 1080p is the way to go. These monitors are also going to be the most budget-friendly option.

For those that prefer a stunning, crisp display, 4K monitors keep pixel peeping to a minimum and are ideal for a 27-inch screen size or bigger. However, you won’t hit 500Hz like some Full HD offerings, and to enjoy a speedy refresh rate – like the Asus ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM offers – you need to be willing to drop a good chunk of change. Driving those high frame rates will also be taxing on your system.

That leads us to the perfect middle ground: a 1440p display. You’ll enjoy a sharper resolution than 1080p, and hit impressively high frame rates. You will still need a mid-range or better graphics card, but if you have the hardware, these monitors are great for competitive gaming. Plus, you’ll find they’re often cheaper than UHD options.

Is HDR worth it?

HDR, or High Dynamic Range typically brings more vivid colors, improved brightness, and better contrast than SDR, or Standard Dynamic Range on supported monitors, making images pop. In HDR games, that increased clarity provides richer details for a more enjoyable viewing experience and can possibly give you an edge over opponents. For those who gravitate towards those cinematic games, it’s worth it to find a solid HDR monitor.

However, not all monitors that claim HDR support deliver a true HDR experience, so finding an option with ample local dimming zones and high peak brightness or an OLED panel is your best bet to make the most of HDR. Check out our guide on HDR for more info.

Want to know our favorite picks? LG is a stable brand in our best gaming monitors roundup, but there are plenty of other options out there. The best gaming monitors deliver stunning picture quality, speedy response times, and a host of gaming features to show off all the capabilities of the rig you’ve invested in. So, whether you’re after best budget gaming monitor while you save up for a new CPU or GPU, or an absolute beast of a display to help you reach the top of the leaderboards in Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3, we’ve tested and researched a range of options, bringing you the best of the best.

Score an Alienware RTX 4090 Gaming PC for as Low as $2950 During the Dell 4th of July Sale

Par : Eric Song

Some new deals just cropped up as part of the Dell 4th of July Sale. Right now you can get an Alienware Aurora R16 GeForce RTX 4090 gaming PC for as low as $2949.99. That particular model is equipped with a 14th gen Intel Core i7 processor, which is no slouch when it comes to gaming. Alternatively, step up to the Intel Core i9 model for $3199.99 and also get double the RAM and double the SSD storage while you're at it. Even better, you can add on a 34" Alienware OLED gaming monitor for just $499.

Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 4090 Gaming PC from $2949.99

The $2950 model features an Intel Core i7-14700F CPU, GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, 32GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The 14th gen Intel Core i7-14700F Raptor Lake Refresh CPU boasts a max clock of 5.4GHz with 20 cores, 28 threads, and a 33MB cache. It's cooled by a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooling system and powered by an energy efficient 1000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.

The $3199 model has some substantial upgrades, like an Intel Core i9-14900KF CPU, 64GB of RAM, and a 2TB SSD. The i9-14900KF CPU boasts a max clock of 6GHz with 24 cores, 32 threads, and a 36MB cache. Gaming-wise the Intel Core i7 and i9 perform similarly. However, if you plan to use your rig for rendering or AI work that can utilize the greater number of cores, then the i9 would be a better fit, especially since it also includes more RAM and SSD, which you would also need.

Speaking of the chassis, the R16 is the newest Alienware Aurora gaming chassis, and it's the biggest departure from Alienware's iconic design in years. The R16 is 40% smaller in volume compared to previous iterations but has better thermal management. It features a simple yet proven airflow design; air is drawn in through the side intake vents over the GPU area as well as a 120mm rear fan drawing air in and a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler exhausts air out through the top. A side benefit is that the GPU is supplied with fresh air from the outside instead of recirculating hot internal air.

The RTX 4090 is the most powerful GPU on the market. No other video card, either from NVIDIA or from AMD, comes close. As a reference, the RTX 4090 is about 110% faster at 4K gaming than the already impressive RTX 3080. It's about 60% faster than the previous king, the RTX 3090 Ti. If you're still not convinced, check out our RTX 4090 FE review. The 4090 is also the consumer card of choice for stuff like machine learning or AI image generation apps like Stable Diffusion.

You can also add a 34" Alienware AW3423DWF OLED gaming monitor for only $499. You'll see it when you add your system to your cart and reach the Accessories page. The AW3423DWF is a 34" 3440x1440 monitor with a near instantaneous 0.03ms response time and a respectable 165Hz refresh rate. It uses a Samsung quantum dot OLED panel which is brighter than a traditional OLED panel without losing the color accuracy and range and wide viewing angles that OLEDs are known for. The Best Secretlab 4th of July Deals

Up to $100 Off Secretlab TITAN Evo Gaming Chairs

The TITAN Evo starts at $519 during the sale. This is Secretlab's latest flagship chair and it's available in Small, Medium, and Large sizes. It comes standard with Neo Hybrid Leatherette, which is easy to clean and considerably more durable than the commonly used PU leather. You can also upgrade to either SoftWeave Plus fabric or premium NAPA leather. Every TITAN Evo chair features a sculpted base with plush cold-cure foam upholstery, a supportive 4-way lumbar system, a full length backrest with 165 degrees of recline, full metal 4D armrests with magnetically attached PU cushions (can be upgraded to gel or memory foam), and a magnetically attached memory foam headrest pillow. The TITAN Evo comes with a 3 year warranty.

What's really amazing about Secretlab's chairs are the sheer number of officially licensed designs available. My personal favorites are the Witcher, Monster Hunter, Attack on Titan and Game of Thrones House Targaryen chairs. They cost more than the standard colors, but they're worth it if you're want that extra personal touch to your gaming space.

Up to $100 Off Secretlab TITAN 2020 Gaming Chairs

If you're not married to the idea of getting the newest TITAN Evo, you can get prior model TITAN 2020 gaming chairs starting at $474. The upgrades to the Evo are relatively minor. Besides the changes in upholstery (PU leather to their new Neo Hybrid Leatherette), the addition of magnetic elements to the armrests and headrest, and the NFC anti-counterfeit tag, the chairs are more or less identical. That means the TITAN 2020 also has the more important features like the cold cure foam upholstery, 4-way lumbar, 165 degrees of recline, 4D armrests and more. The TITAN 2020 also comes with a 3 year warranty.

Up to $30 Off Secretlab TITAN Evo Lite Gaming Chairs

Right now the Secretlab Titan Evo Lite is priced at $419, a $30 discount from its normal $450 MSRP. At its core, the Secretlab Titan Evo Lite is very similar to the Titan Evo and the tradeoffs involve customization and adjustability options that (mostly) don't impact the ergonomics and comfort of the chair itself.

Secretlab MAGNUS Pro Desk for $799

The MAGNUS Pro is currently selling for $799. This is one of the few electric standing desks that's designed for gamers. It has everything you'd want from a quality standing desk, like a powerful dual-motor system with 3-stage telescoping metal legs, horizontal cross brace, anti-collision feature, and memory presets. However it has some pretty awesome unique tricks up its sleeve. One of the columns doubles up as a power center. You plug a power cable into an outlet at the base of the column. There is a cable management tray that spans the entire length of the table. There you can put in your own power strip and plug it right into a second outlet at the top of the base. Other great features include a completely magnetic top so you can stick on magnetic accessories like their deskmat, integrated RGB lighting (optional), and a control panel interface that's seamlessly built into the tabletop surface so your chair won't run into it. The MAGNUS Pro desk comes with a 5 year warranty.

Why Choose Secretlab Gaming Chairs?

These Secretlab sales only come around a handful of times per year, so here's your chance to score a very welcome discount. It's no secret that we love our Secretlab gaming chairs. We've consistently rated them as the best high-end gaming chair on the market, as well as the best gaming chair for "big and tall" gamers. Of all the gaming chairs we covered in our "Budget to Best" roundup video earlier this year, Akeem considered the Secretlab Titan Evo to be the most comfortable. No good chair comes cheap, and Secretlab chairs definitely cost a premium, but we think the craftsmanship, materials, and customizability are worth it.

On a personal note, I've recently swapped my aging Herman Miller Aeron chair to a TITAN Evo, and I won't be going back. The Aeron chair is indisdutably an amazing chair, but the TITAN Evo is, in my opinion, is more comfortable, nearly as customizable, and looks way cooler with my gaming setup.

Save 40% Off the Seagate Starfield Edition 8TB Game Hub Hard Drive

Par : Eric Song

Here's a sweet looking hard drive you don't see every day. Amazon is currently offering the Seagate Starfield Special Edition Game Hub 8TB External Gaming Hard Drive for only $149.99. This drive was released last year at a launch price of $239.99. This hard drive is compatible with your Xbox Series X console, but it functions perfectly well as a very fancy looking storage drive for your PC.

Seagate Starfield Special Edition 8TB Game Hub for $149.99

The Starfield Special Edition is essentially a Seagate Firecuda Gaming Hub that's been decked out in Starfield livery. The chassis itself is definitely an eyecatcher, with a two-tone white and red colorway, Starfield decals, and a RGB LED light strip that can be programmable via PC software. I would recommend a smaller, faster SSD for your primary or boot drive, but unless you have very deep pockets, you'll definitely want to get a traditional hard drive with lots of capacity to store the files you don't access very often. Housed inside is a 7200RPM desktop hard drive that works great as local backup storage. Sequential read/write speeds are about 250MB/s, which is solid performance for a traditional platter drive connected via USB. The gaming "hub" lives up to its name with USB Type-C and Type-A ports in the front so you can dasiy chain additional peripherals like your mouse, keyboard, or headset.

The lowest price we saw for this drive this year was previously $189.99, so this is a pretty nice price drop ahead of Amazon Prime Day. If you're looking for backup storage for your games but you want something that looks nicer than a black box, then this is a deal worth considering.

Save Over 20% Off Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Controllers

Par : Eric Song

Official Nintendo Switch Joy Cons are still generally priced at full price, but there are two colorways that are availble for over 20% off today. Amazon has both the Nintendo Joy-Cons Neon Red/Blue and Neon Pink/Green for about $62-$63 each. They retail for $79.99. These are still all-around the best controllers you can get for your Nintendo Switch console.

Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Controllers (Pair) from $62

These are official first-party Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers. Two Joy-Cons can be used separately in each hand or combined with the Joy-Con grip that came with your Switch console. You can even use them as two separate controllers in supported games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. They have a lot of fun features like a built-in accelerometer, gyro sensor, independent motion controls,. HD rumble, and NFC touchpoint for amiibo compatibility. Most 3rd party controllers don't support amiibos at all.

We rarely see Joy-Cons on sale. When they're discounted on Amazon, they go back up in stock quickly as well. If you need an extra pair of Joy-Cons and you like these colorways, then jump on these now. We doubt that they'll drop in price on Amazon Prime Day (they haven't in the past).

The Alienware m18 does a great job of keeping the internal components cool, thanks to a Cryo-Tech cooling sytem that incorporates a vapor chamber with quad heatpipes and four system fans exhausing heat out of the case.

Full specs include an 18" 2560x1600 QHD 165Hz display, Intel Core i9-14900HX CPU, GeForce RTX 4090 (mobile) GPU, 64GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 2TB NVMe SSD. The 14th generation Intel Core i9-14900HX processor boasts 24 cores and 32 threads with a max turbo clock speed of 5.8GHz. It's actually more powerful than any of the newer Intel Core Ultra 9 CPUs that are currently available. You won't find anything better from a mobile Intel chip.

The RTX 4090 is still the most powerful mobile GPU on the market, and by a very substantial margin. It's roughly equivalent to a desktop RTX 3090 GPU. It has more than enough power to run most games at a full 165fps on the 2560x1600 display. Some laptop manufacturers gimp the GPU in order to reduce heat and power requirements. The m18 laptop, however, is not gimped at all. Instead it compensates with an incredibly robust cooling system. This does add weight and power consumption (this one comes with a 330W power brick), but gaming performance is paramount.

LG Evo C3 4K OLED Smart TV Deals

LG Evo C4 4K OLED Smart TV Deals

LG B3 4K OLED Smart TV Deals

Why Coose an OLED TV?

OLED TVs are considered the best TVs you can buy right now. Compared to traditional LED LCD TVs, they offer better image quality, deeper blacks, better contrast ratio, wider color gamut, and super fast response times. Because of these advantages, the OLED TV are easily the best type of TV for viewing 4K HDR content in all of its intended glory. LG OLED TVs particular have been out for years and benefit from several generations of optimizations.

What Are the Differences Between the LG C3 and C4?

The LG Evo C3 is a 2023 model, just one year behind the recently released 2024 LG Evo C4. So what are the differences? Well the biggest difference is the price. The C4 costs a lot more than the C3. The most important trait -- picture quality -- is more or less identical. The C4 does have some quality of life improvements over the C3, such as a more powerful upgraded processor, a newer WebOS smart interface that's a bit more intuitive to use, and a bumped up 144Hz refresh rate (vs 120Hz) over 4K for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X console games.

What about the LG B3?

The LG B3 offers a great value for gamers who still want 4K @ 120Hz capability and an OLED panel but are on a tighter budget. The B3 has a true OLED panel as well as a native 120Hz panel. You only get two HDMI 2.1 ports instead of four, but that's still enough ports to plug in both your Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles. The B3 also doesn't use an Evo panel, so it won't get as bright as a C3 or C4, but if you have good light control, that might not matter very much. Where else can you get a new 65" OLED TV for $1K?

Which Model Should I Choose for Gaming?

Both the LG C3 and C4 have all the features you'd want in a gaming TV. The C3 has a native 120Hz refresh rate and the C4 has a native 144Hz refresh rate. Both TVs have four HDMI 2.1 ports that can run 120Hz or 144Hz at 4K on a PS5 or Xbox Series X console. They both support variable refresh rate (VRR) and auto low latency mode (ALLM), and DTS audio. LG TVs support Dolby Vision but not HDR10+. However, if you're on a tight budget, the B3 is also a very attractive option, especially for gamers.

The LG OLED TVs Are Our Favorite High End TVs

The LG C3 is our favorite high-end 4K TV of 2024 because of the brilliance of its OLED display along with a host of quality features that don't quite push it to the point of an excessively high price. This model brings better contrast and clarity than the previous year's already luminous LG C2. It’s a sight to behold, especially when you add in the deep blacks and well-balanced colors on the crisp 4K screen. Once you choose OLED, it's hard to go back to anything else.

Save 40% Off the Ecoflow River 2 256Wh LiFePO4 Power Station and Get a Bonus Solar Panel

Par : Eric Song

Amazon is offering an Ecoflow River 2 256Wh LiFePO4 Power Station with Bonus 45W Foldable Solar Panel for $179 when you clip the $120 off coupon on the product page. This is an outstanding deal because the power station alone retails for $299... not only are you getting a 44% off discount on the power station, you're basically getting the solar panel ($79 value) for free. The River 2 is well rated because it's equipped with safer and longer lasting LiFEPO4 batteries.

Ecoflow River 2 256Wh LiFePO4 Power Station with Bonus 45W Foldable Solar Panel for $179

The Ecoflow River 2 is a power station with a 256WH battery capacity. It has two AC outlets capable of up to 600W max output (300W per outlet), two USB Type-A ports, and one USB Type-C port. Although each AC outlet is capable of up to 300W of sustained power output, Ecoflow's X-Boost technology allows it to handle up to 600W of surge power for certain electronics and appliances that require a temporary power boost to start up. The River 2 can be recharged using traditional AC or up to 110W of solar. If using grid power (AC), the 360W input will fully charge the River 2 from 0% to 100% in only one hour. Although it's typically used as a mobile backup power solution when you have no available grid power, it can also work as an always-on passthrough AC power strip as well. It has an EPS function that will automatically swap to battery power when there is a power outage. The shutoff delay is less than 30ms, which is small enough for even sensitive electronics like PCs to remain on the entire time.

The 256Whr battery can power your PC or appliances for several minutes or mobile elecronics (including your laptop) for several hours to days. The River 2 uses the newer LiFePO4 cells instead of the traditional NCM sells you find in the original River. LiFePO4 cells have inherently safer chemistry and have a much higher cycle lifespan than NCM cells. They also have lower calendar aging. The only negative of LiFEPO4 is the lower energy density (heavier weight). That said, the River 2 weighs only 7 pounds, which is very respectable for a battery capacity of this size, and with this deal it's not much pricer than NCM alternatives.

The River 2 is a smart battery and thus you can change settings, check on its status, and power on or off outlets remotely, all from your phone. In my personal experience, Ecoflow has good product support and they are continuously rolling out new firmware and software updates.

Includes 45W Solar Panel

The Ecoflow branded 45W solar panel retails for $79 on their official site. The foldable design means that it's very compact and lightweight at just over 3 pounds. The array can withstand most weather conditions and it is IP68 rated so it will be fine if you accidentally leave it out in the rain. The 45W rating means that it can charge your power station within 7 hours under peak sunlight conditions. Setup is basically plug and play; just plug the included cable into your Ecoflow's XT60 port and you're good to go.

The Sonos 4th of July Sale Starts Now: Save 25% Off Certified Refurb Soundbars and Speakers

Par : Eric Song

Sonos doesn't discount its popular speakers very often, so it's a good idea to jump on a good sale whenever you see one. Right now there's a Sonos 4th of July Sale that takes 25% off certified refurbished Sonos speakers. Sonos refurb products go through rigorous testing; they come with all accessories, manuals, and documentation and are reshipped in "pristine" packaging. Most importantly, Sonos stands by their refurbs enough to grant them the same 1 year warranty as buying new.

The Best Sonos 4th of July Deals

Sonos One SL Wireless Smart Speaker (Refurb) for $119

The Sonos One is a small standalone powered speaker that pumps out great sound for its small footprint. The best thing about the Sonos One is its multi-pairing capability. Pair it with another Sonos One SL speaker for seamless stereo sound. Pair it with a soundbar and use them as rear wireless speakers. Pair it with Sonos speakers in different rooms for multi-room capability.

Sonos Era 100 Wireless Smart Speaker (Refurb) for $149

The Sonos Era 100 is a direct successor to the Sonos One. Sound quality is equivalent to a Sonos Move, which isn't surprising considering they have similar internal components: two tweeters, a mid-woofer, and three class-D digital amps. The Era 100 also supports Dolby Atmos when it is paired with an Arc or Beam soundbar. It has a built-in microphone and can be voice controlled; it can also be used as a smart speaker for both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Sonos Arc SL Soundbar (Refurb) for $509

The Arc is Sonos' flagship product. This is a premium soundbar and it shows. This 45" soundbar houses eleven precisely engineered internal speakers, including two dedicated height channels. It's Dolby Atmos ready, and there's enough power here that you can probably get away without a subwoofer. However, the Sonos Arc can be wirelessly paired up with other Sonos speakers and subs to add even more sound distribution. The "SL" in the Sonos Arc SL means "silence", and that's because the only difference is the lack of a microphone. Because of that, SL is not Google Assistant or Alex voice compatible.

Sonos Beam Gen 2 Soundbar (Refurb) for $299

The Sonos Beam is a smaller 26" soundbar that houses four elliptical midwoofers, one central tweeter and three passive bass radiators. It's also Dolby Atmos ready. Unlike the Arc SL, the Beam is equipped with microphones, so it can function as a smart speaker that supports both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

Sonos Sub Gen 3 (Refurb) for $479

If you want to add ground-shaking bass to your Sonos setup, there's still nothing better than a separate standalone subwoofer. The Sonos Sub boasts two 6" drivers that face inwards towards each other to eliminate unwanted vibrations. Each driver is powered by its own amplifier and delivers more than enough sound pressure for even a large room. Like the Arc, the Sonos Sub maintains a small footprint and it looks good. The integrated wireless connectivity so you can avoid the hassle of routing a cable back to the rest of your home theater components.

Why is Sonos so popular?

If you're looking for an easy solution to add great sound to your home, then you've probably already heard of Sonos. Sonos speakers are very easy to set up, don't take a large amount of space, and most importantly, offer distortion-free room-filling audio. We picked Sonos as our best soundbar of 2024.

Sound quality vs size

Despite the fact that Sonos products are compact and don't take up much space in your house, they offer surprisingly loud and distortion-free audio. They're definitely pricier than budget options, but the sound quality is more akin to audio products that cost hundreds more or take up much more space.

Easy setup

Sonos devices are usually simple plug and play. All you have to do is plug in a power cable (if even that's necessary) and one connection to your TV (if even that's necessary), download the Sonos app, and you're done. Generally a receiver isn't required; the soundbars are designed to plug right into your TV and the speakers are designed to work wirelessly. For something like a 5.1ch home theater setup, you don't have to deal with a mess of cables. Individual Sonos speakers can pair with your soundbar and be used as rear satellites, and the subwoofer is also wireless so it can be positioned virtually anywhere in your room.

Communication between devices

Practically all Sonos speakers can communicate with each other. That means you can pair different Sonos speakers in different rooms for multi-room capability. Or you can pair two speakers for stereo output. Or you can pair speakers to your soundbar to be used as a 5.1ch setup. It's all seamlessly done through the app.

The 48" LG UltraGear 4K OLED Gaming Monitor Is Down to $680 During the LG 4th of July Sale

Par : Eric Song

As part of the LG 4th of July Sale, LG (direct) currently has its own 48" LG 48GP900-B 4K OLED gaming monitor for only $679.99 shipped after you apply coupon code "HECA14701". This monitor was released in 2022 at a starting MSRP of $1500. This is currently least expensive 48" OLED gaming monitor on the market.

48" LG 48GP900-B 4K OLED Gaming Monitor for $679.99

The 48GP900-B boasts a WOLED panel that's very similar to the one found on the 48" LG C1 OLED TV but with a few key differences. Instead of the semi glossy coating found on the TV, the 48GP900 features an anti-glare matte coating that's better for close up desktop monitor usage because it is a lot less reflective. The 48GP900 also has DisplayPort connectivity and lacks the built-in Smart TV interface. It does carry over the HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K @ 120Hz compatiblity for PS5 and Xbox Series X owners, as well as VRR and G-SYNC support. Additionally, the 120Hz refresh rate can be overclocked to 138Hz when used as a PC monitor. There are also some other convenient features that you'll find on LG gaming monitors in general, like an FPS counter and built-in crosshair. Lastly, if aesthetics matter for you, there is subtle RGB backlighting on the rear of the monitor that isn't present on the OLED TVs.

Why Choose an OLED Gaming Monitor?

When it comes to high end gaming monitors, there are so many options to choose from. But one thing is certain, you can't go wrong with OLED. OLED monitors blow away any IPS, VA, or TN display in terms of raw image quality. They have the best contrast ratio and dynamic range thanks to their near infinite black levels and the ability to switch on and off individual LEDs. They also have near instantaneous response times so ghosting is a thing of the past. OLED monitors are usually a lot more expensive, but right now the LG 48GP900-B's price brings it in line with other premium non-OLED monitors.

77" LG Evo C3 4K OLED Smart TV for $1699.99

The LG Evo C3 is a 2023 model, just one year behind the recently released 2024 LG Evo C4. So what are the differences? Aside from the near $1000 price differential, not much. The most important trait -- picture quality -- is more or less identical. Where the C4 improves on the C3 are an upgraded processor, newer WebOS smart interface, and a bumped up 144Hz refresh rate over 120Hz.

The LG C3 also has all the features you'd want in a gaming TV as well. It has a native 120Hz panel and all four HDMI 2.1 ports for running 4K at 120Hz on a PS5 or Xbox Series X. It also supports variable refresh rate (VRR), auto low latency mode (ALLM), and DTS audio, which is good for people who still watch Blu-ray discs. The C3 is also much easier to set up than its predecessors; the rear cabinet housing is made of a composite fiber that drops the weight to a mere 36 pounds without the stand.

This is HP's roomiest chassis with plenty of cooling in the form of three 120mm fans for system airflow and a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooling solution for the CPU. The GeForce RTX 4090 is far and away the most powerful video card you can get right now, leaving competitors like AMD's latest Radeon RX 7900 XTX in the dust. It's easily the best consumer solution for ray-traced 4K gaming at 100+ fps as well as AI generation apps thanks to its 24GB of VRAM. Check out our RTX 4090 review.

HP OMEN 45L GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER PC for $2290

You absolutely do not need an RTX 4090 to take on 4K gaming. The new GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER offers you more than enough horsepower to handle any game in 4K at high framerates, even with max settings and ray tracing enabled. It's 5%-10% faster in performance than the RTX 4080 thanks to its higher base clock speed, higher CUDA core count, and higher memory bandwidth. It trades blows with AMD's most powerful GPU, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX, but the RTX 4080 SUPER pulls ahead in ray tracing performance and in any game where DLSS 3.0 is supported. Check out our RTX 4080 SUPER review. It's also $800 cheaper.

This config is housed in the same HP OMEN 45L chassis with plenty of airflow and a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler for the CPU. The I7-13700K is equally as good as the i9-13900K when it comes to gaming performance. The RTX 4060 Ti 8GB video card is the perfect GPU for 1080p gaming, although it's also capable of handling 1440p gaming. It's about 5%-10% faster than the RTX 3060 Ti at 1080p and the gap widens for games that support DLSS 3.0. It's about 20%-25% faster than the RTX 4060 at 1080p.

HP OMEN 17 RTX 4070 Gaming Laptop for $1399.99

Deals on 15" or 16" gaming laptops are a dime a dozen, but shoppers looking for a larger 17" gaming laptop will usually have a harder time finding a good price. Fortunately, HP has a solid deal on an HP OMEN 17 laptop with an RTX 4070 GPU. Right now you can get it for $1399.99, or $400 off MSRP. This is a very well equipped laptop, with a sharp 17" 1440p display, the newest generation AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS CPU, and a generous amount of RAM and SSD storage.

HP OMEN 16 RTX 4060 Gaming Laptop for $999.99

Looking for an RTX 4060 laptop for under $1000? Right now HP has the HP OMEN 16 Intel Core i7 GeForce RTX 4060 gaming laptop for only $999.99 after a $600 instant discount. This is a great price for an HP OMEN laptop, which is a premium model over it's more budget-minded Victus. The RTX 4060 sits between the RTX 3070 and the RTX 3070 Ti so it's definitely no slouch in terms of gaming performance. This is a capable, current generation GPU that can easily run games on the native 1080p display even at high or maximum settings. If you have the budget, I'd recommend upgrading to the 2560x1600 display for only $40.

The RTX 4070 Ti SUPER also increases the GDDR6X RAM count to 16GB compared the the RTX 4070 Ti's 12GB, which means it's a great card for VR hungry apps such as Stable Diffusion.
