Magic: The Gathering’s Avatar: The Last Airbender Set Is Now Up For Preorder

Magic: The Gathering is offering an unprecedented three crossovers in its 2025 release calendar. The Final Fantasy set was the biggest launch in the trading card game's long history, and Spider-Man is up next.

Time waits for no one, though, and spoilers have already begun for Avatar: The Last Airbender’s set, due to launch on November 21, 2025. Better yet, preorders are now live for sealed products, and here’s where you can get them.

So what's the latest? Online preorders for MTG x Avatar are selling out fast, with Amazon now limited to just a few sealed products left at the time of writing.

It won't be long before the rest disappears, so we're recommending preordering ASAP to lock in your preorder and avoid disappointment, as you won't have to pay a penny until the new Universes Beyond set ships in November.

Also, keep an eye on preorders are Best Buy, which are yet to go live. Otherwise, follow @IGNDeals to stay informed on upcoming restocks before release day.

Beginner Box

For the first time since Foundations, a Beginner Box will offer an entry-level product for Avatar fans who want to check out Magic: The Gathering.

It will offer Jumpstart decks that can be mixed and matched to allow players to learn to play as Aang or Zuko. It costs $34.99, and can be preordered at Amazon right now.

IGN's Tom Marks has also previewed the Beginner Box, awarding some high praise to the latest introductory MTG box, saying: "...if you’re an Avatar fan who is curious about what this crossover entails but is intimidated by the three-decade old reputation Magic carries around with it, it’s hard to think of a better place to start than this."

Jumpstart Boosters

Jumpstart Boosters return for Avatar: The Last Airbender, costing $167.76 to preorder from Amazon.

The idea is simple: Players take two packs of cards, put them together, and make an instantly-playable deck. It’ll be available in Booster Boxes or as individual packs.

Play Boosters and Bundles

Play Boosters return, but things are a little up in the air(bender) at the moment because individual packs aren’t available just yet, at least in the US, who can only preorder a box of 30 packs for $209.70 at Amazon for now. Still, we're expecting this to be one of the most popular picks for those preordering MTG x Avatar cards, so snap it up ASAP to avoid missing out.

Once that's sorted, you're guaranteed 30 boosters to open, eaching containing at least 1 shiny Traditional Foil card and 1–4 cards of rarity Rare or higher, alongside the heart-racing possibility of finding special cards featuring beautiful borderless alternate art.

UK players can preorder Play Boosters on their own, and we're expecting Best Buy to offer individual booster preorders in the coming days for those in the US.

As is the case with Spider-Man (and most Magic sets), there’s a new Bundle coming, too. This $69.99 set includes nine Play Boosters, 15 foil and 15 non-foil lands, 1 spindown life counter, and a Foil promo card.

Scene Box

Following on from the Spider-Man Scene Box, Avatar: The Last Airbender’s version will come in two options: The Black Sun Invasion, and Tea Time At The Jasmine Dragon.

Each includes a series of cards to be displayed together to make a scene, but also a trio of Play Boosters to help kickstart your collection. Amazon has them for $41.99 each.

Both are currently sold out, stay tuned for more updates.

Where Are The Commander Decks?

Commander’s Bundle Explained

As with Marvel’s Spider-Man, there are no Avatar Commander Decks, but a new product type, the Commander’s Bundle, aims to fill the gap somewhat.

This bundle costs $109.99, contains 9 Play Boosters and one Collector Booster, and also includes classic Commander staples like Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Swiftfoot Boots, and more.

But, it's already sold out at Amazon. We're expecting preorders to go live at Best Buy soon, which will be your best bet at securing the Commander Bundle over the coming days.

Collector Boosters

We know Collector Boosters will return. They’ll be available in boxes of 12 packs. Expect them to be the best place to get rare, chase cards, but to cost considerably more than Play Boosters.

They are also highly likely to sell out fast, so snag these up ASAP to avoid disappointment. While the rest of the set has gone live for preorder, we haven't yet had the Collector Boosters go live just yet.

UK Preorders

Curiously, Amazon UK has more products available than any other retailer at the time of writing.

Black Widow Star Ray Winstone Got So Frustrated With Marvel's Demands for Reshoots He Asked to Be 'Recast' Instead, Before Being Reminded He Was Under Contract

Black Widow star Ray Winstone has spoken of his frustration with Marvel's demands for movie reshoots, despite the film's director apparently being happy with his performance.

Winstone said he became so exasperated with the situation while working on Black Widow that he asked director Cate Shortland for his role to be recast, only for him to be told he had no choice but to do the reshoots, as he remained under contract.

The Scarlett Johansson-starring movie features Winstone as the villainous Dreykov, the man in charge of the cruel Black Widow training program. But despite initial enthusiasm for the part, Winstone has now said he ultimately wanted out of the project after Marvel Studios decided changes were necessary.

"I worked with this amazing director, Cate Shortland, and we worked on what my character was going to be," Winstone said at the Sarajevo Film Festival, as reported by Variety. "He was like a pedophile running around all these girls, and they'd become black widows.

"We used to get applauded on set," he continued, discussing his performance. "It was probably the best thing I've done for a really long time. Then I come home after finishing the job and get a call saying we need to do some reshoots. I say: how many scenes? [Cate] says 'all of them.'"

Winstone did not specify what exactly Marvel had wanted to change, but the studio has become notorious for making alterations to its movies during production and afterwards, with sometimes-lengthy reshoots often required. At the same time, fans have grown increasingly wary of the practice, and pointed to cuts in The Marvels and the heavily-reworked Captain America: Brave New World as evidence the practice can result in an uneven finish.

"I said she should recast [the role], but I was contracted, so I had to do it," Winstone recalled. "I go back, they do my hair all nice, put me in the suit, and I couldn't do it. I'd already done it. I thought, 'I'm not doing it now. I've done it. That's how it's going to be.' That’s rejection, you know? There's nothing worse than doing something, leaving it on the floor, and then being told it's not right."

Marvel boss Kevin Feige recently discussed the studio's practice of continually tweaking its movies throughout production, a habit he has termed "plus-ing".

"I've never been satisfied with a movie we’ve released," Feige told The Hollywood Reporter. "There’s plus-ing happening every day on the Avengers: Doomsday set right now, and it is amazing to watch because what those filmmakers, those actors, both the ones that are playing these characters for the first or second time and the one playing them for the 10th or 12th time, are the best in the world at it, and know these characters so well. So if they have an idea, you want to listen to it and you want to adjust to it and you want to improve it. I wouldn’t want to change that."

Magic: The Gathering’s Stylish Final Fantasy Precons Bundle is 34% Off at Amazon Today

In case you missed it, Final Fantasy’s Magic: The Gathering set was, as Ron Burgundy might put it, kind of a big deal.

A few weeks back, we mentioned the Commander Decks had finally dipped under MSRP on Amazon, but now there’s an even better deal if you’re looking to snag all four at once.

Magic’s Final Fantasy Commander Decks Just Dropped To Another All-Time Low Price at Amazon

The complete Final Fantasy Precons bundle is down to just $184.99 on Amazon, a massive $95 off list price and the best deal we’ve seen yet.

Just last week, it was $200, already a good discount, but this drop takes it to the equivalent of $46.25 per deck.

It's a remarkably good offering, especially with the likes of Final Fantasy 7’s Limit Break deck still stuck at $72.50.

Amazon labels it 34% off MSRP, but given how pricey these decks have been, that’s underselling it. This is a rare bargain, and it probably won’t stick around long.

If it disappears before you can lock it in, TCGPlayer currently has the four-pack going for around $180 to $200 as well.

As a reminder, here’s our ranking of the four decks, one of which features in our handy best MTG decks ranking (focusing on precon decks you can still buy and play right now).

4 - Revival Trance (Final Fantasy 6)

Revival Trance isn’t just themed around Final Fantasy 6, but specifically the back half of the story, with Celes leading the charge to rebuild the party after the world falls apart.

It’s a fitting premise for a “revival” deck, except for one small problem — there aren’t many cards here that actually bring fallen allies back from the graveyard, yours or anyone else’s. Add in the lack of any major reprints, and it feels like a missed opportunity.

3 - Scions and Spellcraft (Final Fantasy 14)

Final Fantasy 14’s Commander deck is somewhat of a rare beast insofar as it’s a spellslinger-style deck in Esper colors (White, Black, Blue).

As a result, its focus is on non-creature spells and dishing out damage with Y’Shtola, one of the two Commanders. It’s just a little slow to get going, needing you to pull out as much mana as possible in early turns to be able to start slinging those big spells.

Propaganda and Snuff Out are decent reprints, but there’s little else of big financial value.

But, if you don’t mind mixing up your Final Fantasy titles, Noctis, Prince of Lucis could be a really neat addition to the Scions and Spellcraft Commander precon.

He can pay life to get artifact spells from the graveyard, while Y’Shtola, Night’s Blessed can help you get some of that life back.

2 - Limit Break (Final Fantasy 7)

Final Fantasy 7’s deck is absolutely fantastic, and actually dovetails nicely with Fallout’s Scrappy Survivors precon from last year (as long as you're happy with yet another bold RPG crossover).

It’s all about getting your creatures to 7 power to trigger additional effects from Cloud or Tifa, while minimizing equip costs to allow you to switch gear and keep opponents guessing.

Reprint value is decent, too. Not only do you get Darksteel Plate, Sword of the Animist, and Fire-Lit Thicket, but Clever Concealment has some amazing new art of Cloud’s disguise.

Thanks to its Final Fantasy synergies, Stoneforge Mystic has been shooting up in both popularity and price.

This two-mana staple slots perfectly into the equipment-heavy Limit Break deck, tutoring out gear with ease, and the market has noticed, it’s jumped from under $20 to around $50 in recent listings.

That’s some serious stonks, and it could end up being a smart long-term pickup.

1 - Counter Blitz (Final Fantasy 10)

Arguably the most balanced deck out of the box, Tidus and Yuna helm this Final Fantasy 10 offering.

It’s all about counters, meaning you can buff your creatures, deal damage, and proliferate. It really could get out of hand quickly, and you can even get creative with the Summons in the deck, too.

Reprint-wise, you can get Walking Ballista, Damning Verdict, and Bane of Progress, all with new artwork.

Ever since Final Fantasy’s Universes Beyond set launched, there’s been a spike in pricing for any cards that involve the use of counters, thanks to the focus of the FFX deck helmed by Tidus.

One of the recent beneficiaries is Filigree Vector, from the March of the Machine set. It’s a four-cost White Artifact Creature that essentially arrives with +1/+1 counters and can proliferate, making it an ideal fit for the Blitzball star’s deck.

It’s gone from being a couple of dollars not long ago to climbing to around $15.

There's also Magistrate’s Scepter, a 3-cost artifact that can be powered up with charge counters then used to take an entire extra turn.

Given how quickly Tidus can get those counters, this Core Set 2019 card is now up to $5 from just a few cents a few weeks ago, and well worth adding to the best Final Fantasy MTG precon.

There's plenty of other great additions to this deck if you want to get creative, and one we also spoke about recently in our Crashers and Climbers column was Wave Goodbye, which sends a board’s worth of cards back to an owner’s hand if their cards don’t have a counter on them.

We also recently rounded up some great Magic: The Gathering precon deals last week, and the best part is that most are still available.

Looking forward to Fallout Season 2 on Amazon? Me too! Fallout’s MTG Commander Decks were all pretty great, but now you can nab one with a third off the MSRP.

Science! (don’t forget that exclamation mark) is an energy-based deck that uses Artifacts to generate additional resources that Dr. Madison Li can turn into card draw or reanimation. It’s perhaps not the easiest to use for newbies, but still well worth a look.

And before you there's also some decent Booster Box deals going down at Amazon right now as well, here's what's on offer.

gamescom 2025: All the Biggest Reveals So Far

gamescom 2025 is fully underway and there have already been a ton of huge reveals that have given a glimpse at the future of video games. We've already had Opening Night Live and a full day of previews and interviews and news, and we've decided to gather all the biggest moments right here to ensure you don't miss a thing.

So, check out everything below and continue to check back throughout gamescom to see what other surprises have been revealed.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 New Trailer Reveals Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies Details, Release Date, and Much More

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 had a big night at gamescom's Opening Night Live, as we got a first-look at its campaign, learned new details on multiplayer and zombies, got a release date of November 14, learned about its Open Beta, and much more.

The story of Black Ops 7 takes place in 2035 and is a follow-up to both Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 6. The campaign supports solo play of up to four-player co-op, with global progression for the first time for the franchise.

For more, check out why Black Ops 7 is the series' biggest swing in years, how the devs are 'paying attention' to feedback over goofy skins, and how the series is using generative AI to "not replace, but streamline."

How Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's Campaign Weaponizes Fear

We talk to Call of Duty developers Miles Leslie and Natalie Pohorski at gamescom 2025 to find out how Black Ops 7's co-op campaign takes cues from the Batman Arkham games by using fear toxin as the basis of the weirdest COD missions we've seen yet.

Hollow Knight: Silksong Shows Up at Gamescom: Opening Night Live With Almost 30 Seconds of New Gameplay, as a Treat

While we still don't have a release date, Hollow Knight: Silksong showed up in a big way during ONL with a confirmation it will be out in 2025 and with almost 30 seconds of new gameplay. We also won't have to wait long to learn more about this much-anticipated game as there will be a "special announcement" taking place this Thursday, August 22.

Hollow Knight: Silksong - We Played It!

As if the above wasn't enough, we also actually got to play Hollow Knight: Silksong. Thankfully, we came away very impressed and said the "long-awaited sequel shows little sign of disappointing."

"Yes, we've been waiting many, many years for this sequel, but everything at this stage points to it being worth it. Each aspect feels authored and prescribed to a clear vision — a piece of playable art that is as fun to wield as it is to watch (I should know, the gamescom queue was very long)," IGN's Simon Cardy wrote. "It may have been the shortest of demos, but so far, Silksong is very much singing to me, maybe even more than the original."

Kirby Air Riders – The First Preview

Following its big Nintendo Direct, we had the chance to play Kirby Air Riders at gamescom.

"The maximalism of Kirby Air Riders is its core charm; it feels brewed from impish, chaotic-neutral alchemy," our previewer, Leanne Butkovic, said. "Even Nintendo is calling this a “vehicle action game,” not a kart racer, which honestly seems apt – a silly genre distinction for a purposefully unserious game. It might not have been the sequel the people were clamoring for, but I’m glad that it exists."

Resident Evil Requiem Hands-On Preview

IGN's Dale Driver had a chance to play a 20-minute demo of Resident Evil Requiem, and one of the biggest things we took away from playing the game is that a new, unstoppable stalker could be the scariest one yet.

Resident Evil: Requiem Trailer Shows Fresh Look at Grace Ashcroft's Backstory, But Where's Leon?

Resident Evil: Requiem showed up in a big way at ONL with a new story and gameplay trailer that dives deep into our protagonist, Grace Ashcroft. However, we are still waiting for Leon S. Kennedy, where is he?!

Resident Evil Requiem Takes Stalkers to the Next Terrifying Level

The latest stalker in the Resident Evil series takes the chase to the next level, hunting Grace Ashcroft throughout the hallways of the small but impactful Resident Evil Requiem demo. IGN's Matt Purslow and Dale Driver got to go hands-on with the game and discuss their initial impressions of the latest Resident Evil game coming out in 2026.

Pragmata Aims to Break the Rules of Third-Person Shooters

Pragmata was playable at gamescom, and we said that, "while it produces a combat experience quite different to anything I’ve played before, I’m left wondering if that same level of ingenuity will be felt in Pragmata’s exploration and level design, too."

Pragmata Rethinks Shooting but Is That a Good Thing?

Capcom's Pragmata has a new system for shooting mechanics, asking you to do a hacking mini-game before each enemy encounter. It's a fresh take, but is it a good thing? After playing the Pragmata demo at gamescom 2025, IGN's Matt Purslow and Dale Driver have some mixed feelings, enjoying the innovation but with slight concerns that the process could wear thin over a full game.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword Skillfully Sharpens a PS2 Classic for a New Generation

Onimusha: Way of the Sword brings back the franchise for the first time since the PS2 days, and we walked away from playing this new game in a very positive way.

"The gamescom demo may have been short – little more than some winding paths and a boss fight in a temple – but it’s more than enough to convince me that Onimusha: Way of the Sword is built on rock-solid swordplay fundamentals," IGN's Matt Purslow said.

Onimusha Could be as Sharp as Sekiro Without the Soulslike Difficulty

Is Onimusha: Way of the Sword a triumphant return for the long-dormant franchise? IGN's Matt Purslow and Dale Driver got to play the demo at gamescom 2025 and share their thoughts about the supernatural samurai fighting demon combat and the inevitable Soulslike comparisons. How does Onimusha compare to the obvious Ghost of Tsushima and Sekiro comparisons? Let's find out.

LEGO Voyagers Might Already Be My Favorite LEGO Game Ever

IGN's Ryan McCaffrey said Lego Voyagers just might already be his favorite LEGO game of all time.

"Will LEGO Voyagers have some poignant moment waiting for players near the end like fellow dialogue-free physics puzzle platformers Limbo and Inside? That remains to be seen, but even if it doesn’t, it’s clear that Voyagers intends to make its memories along the journey if not the destination. But hopefully it’ll do so in both."

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Announced, Featuring Open World Gotham

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight was announced during gamescom's Opening Night Live and it looks to be a love letter to many Batman movies and comics with a sprinkle of Batman Arkham combat thrown in. Oh, and it has Matt Berry playing Bane.

"Whether he’s the wrathful Dark Knight, the brilliant detective, or the unlikely father of the ‘Batfam,’ Batman has constantly evolved — shaped by the world around him while remaining a timeless symbol," said Jim Lee, President, Publisher, and Chief Creative Officer, DC.

"This game brings together nearly every facet of his legacy, letting you experience the full range of what makes Batman iconic. Built with incredible care, creativity, and deep respect for the mythos, TT Games has crafted a love letter to the world of Batman.”

For more, you can check out how this game is the perfect combo of Arkham & Lego combat and 31 minutes of gameplay frme Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.

Anno 117: Pax Romana – The Final Preview

We were able to go hands-on with the other half of Ubisoft Mainz's Roman city-builder Anno 117: Pax Romana, and we said, "given the opportunities to define its culture across multiple evolutionary phases, Albion may even have more layers to it than the dedicated Roman settled that would, theoretically, serve as the epicentre the Empire. Colour me intrigued."

Elden Ring on Switch 2 Is a Disaster in Handheld Mode

We played Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition in handheld mode on Switch 2 and came away very disappointed with the game's performance, especially when in the open areas like Limgrave. Frame rate drops were significant when turning the camera whilst exploring outside of the tutorial area, and this, combined with a confusing button layout on Switch 2, made combat confusing and exploration fairly dispiriting. We weren't allowed to record gameplay at the booth, probably due to this fact, but you can hear our thoughts on Elden Ring Switch 2 handheld gameplay in this video. Elden Ring Tarnished Edition releases in 2025, so hopefully there's time for Bandai Namco to work on its performance.

This Day in Gaming 🎂

In retro news, I’m celebrating the 16th birthday of Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again, one of the best DSi downloads I ever nabbed. Minis March Again bolstered the original formula with four more game worlds of 10 stages apiece. Along with the brilliant DIY level creator that let me wirelessly share my conundrums with friends, this was just more of the same stuff (old school Nintendo game design with pitch perfect puzzle platforming and high sheen visuals). Please remake more of this sizeable series on Switch, Ninty.

Nice Savings for Nintendo Switch

On Switch, Street Fighter 6 has made a surprisingly smooth leap to handheld. I grew up with this franchise, and Capcom’s meticulous animation frames are a sight to behold at 60fps portable. Also, Hogwarts Legacy is cheap enough to justify a trip back to Hogwarts. Even if you’re not a Potter diehard, the sprawling open-world design is pure Avalanche Studio ambition.

Exciting Bargains for Xbox

Over on Series X, Dead Space is the rare remake that honours the original while terrifying you anew. The sound design still gives me goosebumps with every creak and hiss of the Ishimura. And then there’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which quietly boasts one of the prettiest foliage renderers I’ve ever seen in a game engine.

Score a Complete Micro PC with CPU, RAM, SSD, and Windows 11 Pro Preinstalled for $130 on Amazon

If you're a Windows user that's looking for an affordable PC that's as small as the Apple Mac Mini, then check out this deal from Amazon just in time for the Back to School season. Amazon Prime members can pick up the recently released AceMagic Vista Mini V1 Intel N150 Mini PC for just $130.26 shipped after you apply coupon code "SLICKDLV1". You do not need to be an Amazon Prime member. This is an excellent price for a complete PC that comes ready to go out of the box with a CPU, RAM, storage, and even the Windows 11 Pro operating system. AceMagic is a popular mini PC brand.

AceMagic Vista Mini V1 Intel N150 Mini PC for $130.26

The AceMagic Vista is small, really small, measuring 4" x 4" x 1.3". Obviously this limits the gaming capabilities, but the components are certainly good enough to run all of your every day tasks. The mini PC is equipped with an Intel N150 CPU with a max turbo frequency of 3.6GHz with four cores and four threads. It's a very low voltage chip, only using 6W at base power. You'll commonly find it in entry level Chromebooks and home NAS servers. It's paired with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 512GB M.2 SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed, however a common suggestion with overseas mini PCs like these is that a fresh OS install is highly recommended to get rid of any bloatware. You will need to re-install the drivers.

There are plenty of connectivity options here. Running down the list, the ports include two USB 3.2 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, one HDMI 2.0 port, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, one 3.5mm audio jack, and one gigabit ethernet jack. It's also equipped with Bluetooth and WiFi 5 (802.11ac) wireless networking.

Here's another similarly priced, similarly spec'd option

The Kamrui Intel N150 Mini PC is also on sale right now for Amazon Prime members for just $136.63 after you apply coupon code "3UDQBYBG". The specs on this mini PC are nearly identical to the AceMagic Vista M1, with the only difference being the case design (even the type of ports and the layout are identical). Kamrui is, in fact, owned by the same parent company as AceMagic.

AceMagic Vista Mini V1 Intel N97 Mini PC for $130.13

If you want something a little more powerful, this model upgrades the N150 to the N97 CPU for just $7 more for Amazon Prime members. The N97 is an older processor than the N150, but it's a bit higher-end in Intel's stack, performing roughly 5%-10% better than the N150 in single and multi-threaded CPU benchmarks. That might not seem like much, but since these tiny processors don't have as much computing power as full-sized variants, every bit of performance matters.

The CyberPowerPC Gaming PC with AMD 9800X3D CPU and GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU Drops to $1,899

Walmart is offering a great deal on a powerful prebuilt gaming PC. The CyberPowerPC gaming PC, fearturing an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU and GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU, is on sale for $1899 shipped. This is the best price I've seen so far for a 9800X3D and 5070 Ti combo and it's also generously equipped with loads of RAM and SSD storage.

CyberPowerPC AMD 9800X3D RTX 5070 Ti PC for $1,899

The CyberPowerPC gaming PC (model number SLC7700WST) is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card, 32GB of DDR5-6000MHz RAM, and a 2TB PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSD. The system is cooled by a total of four 120mm airflow fans in addition to the three 120mm fans that are part of the 360mm liquid cooling system. It's all housed in a CyberPowerPC rebadged Lian-Li Prism 321V ATX midtower PC case with panoramic glass windows.

The AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D Was Made for Gamers

According to Passmark, the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is the second fastest gaming CPU available right now trailing just behind the pricier 9900X3D. It features a max boost clock of 5.2GHz with 8 cores, 16 threads, and 104MB of L2-L3 cache This is an absolute monster of a processor for gaming, especially at this price point. It doesn't have as big of a core count as some other modern day CPUs, but most games can't utilize more than eight cores.

The RTX 5070 Ti GPU Has Excellent 4K Gaming Performance

Of all the Blackwell cards released thus far, the RTX 5070 Ti offers the best bang for your buck, especially when pitted against the previous generation GPUs. It performs neck-and-neck with the RTX 4080 Super and marginalizes the RTX 5080, which is only about 10%-15% faster but costs 33% more. Like all Blackwell cards, the RTX 5070 Ti supports DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation. This GPU is capable of high framerates in nearly all games, even at 4K resolution. If you plan on using this card for AI, the RTX 5070 Ti may be a better value since it has the same amount of VRAM as the RTX 5080.

This Baseus Charging Station Adds Three USB Ports and Three AC Outlets for Only $12

If your workstation or gaming desk requires both USB ports and AC outlets, here's a very inexpensive solution to your problem. Amazon is offering a Baseus 3-Port 3-Outlet Desktop Charging Station for just $11.99 after you clip both $4.50 off and 50% off coupons on the product page. This compact desktop charger features both USB Type-A and Type-C ports as well as AC outlets for the ultimate versatility.

Baseus 3-Port 3-Outlet Desktop Charger for $11.99

The Baseus charging station is shaped like a cuboid and is meant to sit long side down on the desk for stability. There are a total of six ports: one USB Type-A port, two USB Type-C ports, and three AC outlets. All three USB ports boast a 20W power output, although if you use more than one at a time the output steps down to 15W. The three AC outlets can deliver a total of 1,625W of power output and feature 12,000J of surge suppression. They're widely spaced apart and positioned on different sides so bulky power bricks won't block every outlet. The charging station is compact and won't take up much of your desk space since it uses GaN technology. For $12, what more can you ask for?

Dell Outlet Just Restocked Its Alienware Gaming PC Inventory, Including Rare RTX 4090 Systems

After over a month of zero units available, Dell Outlet has finally restocked its inventory of Clearance, Like New (Refurbished) and Scratch & Dent Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PCs. There are currently several dozen different configurations available, and they are priced very competitively. For example, you can pick up a well-equipped Alienware RTX 5080 gaming PC with a one year Dell warranty for under $2,000. Curiously, Dell Outlet also has a limited number of RTX 4090 gaming PCs in stock for reasonable prices. That's pretty surprising considering the fact that RTX 4090 GPUs are discontinued, difficult to find, and the resale value on them is spectacularly high at the moment.

Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 4090 PC Deals

Despite being a generation old, the GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card is still the second most powerful GPU on the market, besting even the new RTX 5080. It also has the second most amount of VRAM at 24GB, making it a great card for anyone dabbling in AI. Considering the fact than an Alienware RTX 5090 gaming PC will run you over $4,500, a sub-$3,000 RTX 4090 system sounds like a bargain. It's increasingly more difficult to find an RTX 4090 prebuilt at all, since Nvidia has already discontinued the GPU. The graphics card is also selling for abnormally high prices on eBay, even though RTX 5090 GPUs have come down in price and are more readily available.

Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5080 PC Deals

The RTX 5080 is the second best Blackwell graphics card, surpassed only by the $2,000 RTX 5090. It's about 5%-10% faster than the previous generation RTX 4080 Super, which is discontinued and no longer available. In games that support DLSS 4 with multi-frame generation exclusive to Blackwell cards, the gap widens. This is an outstanding card for playing even the latest games at 4K resolution with high settings and ray tracing enabled.

Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5070 Ti PC Deals

Among the new Blackwell releases, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is probably our favorite model. It is definitely the most affordable Nvidia graphics card that I'd recommend for gaming in 4K with consistent frame rates of at least 60fps. Compared to the previous generation cards, it's roughly comparable to an RTX 4080 Super but with the added benefit of DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation.

Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 5070 Deals

The RTX 5070 performs comparably with the RTX 4070 Super and is a solid choice for gaming at 1080p or 1440p at frame rates of 60fps or higher. The gap widens in favor of the RTX 5070 in games that support DLSS 4. For FPS gamers with 1080p monitors, this is a good budget option for achieving 144fps or higher for smoother gameplay.

Not everyone is the DIY type. If you're in the market for a prebuilt gaming PC, Dell is one of the best brands we'd recommend. Nowadays, the best Alienware deals are competitive compared to the cost of building your own PC with equivalent specs. Alienware desktops and laptops feature solid build quality, top-of-the-line gaming performance, and excellent cooling (further improved on the newer models). Best of all, there are plenty of sales that happen throughout the year, so it's not difficult to grab one of these computers at considerably less than their retail price.

Asus ROG Pelta Gaming Headset Review – An Easy Mid-Range Recommendation

Asus isn’t reinventing the wheel with the ROG Pelta headset. Though I originally thought the name was a typo, as I’ve tested Asus’s ROG Delta in the past, this is a distinct headset, and a pretty good one at that. There isn’t necessarily anything new to get excited about, with the ROG Pelta not advancing gaming headset technology in any way. But with a $155 price tag, solid audio chops, flexible connection options, and a very comfortable fit, the ROG Pelta still has a lot to offer those looking for a worthy gaming headset.

Asus ROG Pelta – Design and Features

The Asus ROG Pelta is perhaps the least original-looking headset I’ve seen. From the tall oval shape of the earcups, the half-arc yokes, and the elastic suspension headband design, this headset may not be a clone of SteelSeries’ Arctis Nova lineup, but they certainly rhyme. In fact, they look a little bit like a mix between the newer and older models of the Arctis Nova headsets.

All that said, there’s nothing to complain about from design. The oval earcups provide ample space for a comfortable fit around the ear, the cushions have substantial padding, and the elastic headband does a great job dispersing the weight of the headset. All that makes it exceedingly comfortable, though its weak clamping force rules out any headbanging.

The headset’s controls are all on the left earcup. You’ll find a three-way switch, making it easy to turn off the headset or select between Bluetooth and the dedicated 2.4GHz wireless connection. There’s a USB-C port here for charging and wired audio (although there is no 3.5mm analog input). Rather conveniently, the recessed charging port is also just the right size to fit the USB-C dongle, providing a nice spot to slot the little transmitter when you’re taking the headset on the go.

Combined with the breathable fabric of the earcups, this headset is great for lengthy gaming sessions.

There’s also a volume wheel that’s easy to get at without having to feel around a bunch. A mic mute switch sits above this, and when activated, a little light ring around the mic will illuminate. Below the volume wheel is a simple control button that can control playback and skip forward or backward on audio tracks. On the outside of each earcup, Asus has put its ROG logo with just a touch of RGB lighting to back it up. If you’re out and about using the headset and don’t want the RGB lighting, you don’t have to dive into Asus’s Armoury Crate software to turn it off – holding the mic mute button for 5 seconds will toggle the lighting.

Next to the USB-C port is a 3.5mm jack for the headset’s boom mic. While I find retractable options more convenient since you can’t lose them, the option to remove the mic is still nice when you’re not gaming. The mic comes with a little pop filter, too. The ROG Pelta are compatible with most platforms except Xbox. And since they don’t have an analog input or come with an adapter like the Razer BlackShark V3 does, you can’t wire them up to Xbox controllers either.

Asus ROG Pelta – Software

Like any Asus peripheral, the ROG Pelta uses the rather bloated Armory Crate for customization. The software includes a 10-band equalizer, custom EQ presets, virtual surround sound, bass boosting, and various other sound enhancements. There is also some customization for the microphone with a noise gate, a feature called perfect voice, and an echo cancellation and noise reduction toggle. In the separate settings menu, the headset supports microphone sidetone. And this is a nice clean feed from the microphone that sounds like what other people will hear.

You'll find some basic control from the lighting of the headset inside the software suite. Here you can select from a static color, breathing, strobing, color cycling, or synchronization with other devices using Asus's Aura Sync. The headset can also display an alert using the exterior lights when the battery is low.

Asus ROG Pelta – Gaming and Performance

One of the first things I noticed about the ROG Pelta was its pretty meager passive isolation. When using it out in public, I heard a lot of what’s going on around me. It’s all slightly muffled, so it’s not perfectly clear, but it’s still loud. This sees me having to turn up the volume a bit to overcome the outside environment, often to slightly uncomfortable volumes. However, the audio performance is impressive. Listening to some music, I was surprised by the width of the soundstage and stereo imaging, which was expansive. I heard very localized drums in “The Court of the Crimson King,” and everything sounded nicely spaced out, not crammed in like it can on some headphones. While you’ll probably get a wider soundstage from an open-back headset like the Turtle Beach Atlas Air, the ROG Pelta is no slouch.

That wide soundstage only helps out even more in games, making it all the more easier to pick out where sounds might be coming from, so the headset delivers when you’re in the thick of the action. It has booming bass, hitting notes deep down in the sub-bass territory with ease. Explosions? No sweat. With balanced sound, the ROG Pelta presents game audio wonderfully and is not guilty of over-emphasis at the expense of other frequencies. There’s also support for virtual surround sound that may prove interesting in some situations, but it shouldn't be left on all the time. Listening to people talk in YouTube videos, I noticed it was introducing a bit more hissy, echoey background noise. Thankfully, you don’t need to try using it to enjoy a clear picture of your surroundings in games, as the wide soundstage of the headset will already have you covered.

The Asus ROG Pelta is solid, delivering great sound for gaming and an exceptional microphone...

The microphone does pick up a little bit of background static with its default settings, but my voice is clear and relatively full. There's a noise gate option within Armoury Crate that can help eliminate that static, but it also lowers the overall volume of my voice. There's another feature called Perfect Voice that almost seems to do the opposite – it seems to boost some of the higher vocal frequencies while also elevating the static. Lastly, there's Echo Cancellation and Noise Reduction that also has the effect of eliminating some of that static, but it introduces more digital artifacting in my voice. Activating all three features together doesn't result in a great sounding vocal presentation. Overall, the best result was with a small noise gate applied. At that level I was very pleased with the sound of my voice in test recordings, and I found the ROG Pelta competing admirably against even wired headsets, which tend to outshine their wireless counterparts.

The battery life on the ROG Pelta is rock solid, with the headset offering a 70-hour runtime using its 2.4GHz mode with RGB lighting disabled. Having used it extensively in both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth modes with RGB on, I have yet to need to recharge the battery or get a low-battery warning from the headset throughout my testing period – to state it plainly, you can use it all week and just remember to plug in once. Better yet, the headset is really good about idling; it’s easy to forget to turn it off at the end of the day, but even then, I haven’t seen dramatic battery drain from this even after leaving it on overnight several times during testing. With a long battery life like that, you might be inclined to wear the headphones for long stretches. Thankfully, they are very comfortable. Combined with the breathable fabric of the earcups, these headphones are great for lengthy gaming sessions.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Adds Severance Star Tramell Tillman to Its Cast

Severance star Tramell Tillman will reportedly make his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut in Spider-Man: Brand New Day in an unnamed role.

Details on the latest casting news for the new Tom Holland Spider-Man movie come from Variety. The site says information about which character he’ll be playing remains under lock and key for now.

Audiences are most likely to recognize Tillman for his work on the severed floor in the Apple TV+ series Severance, where he plays unnervingly calm Mr. Milchick. It’s a role that’s earned the actor a spot in the minds of TV fans everywhere, but he’s also spent the last few years in other projects, such as Marvel’s animated Hulu show, Hit-Monkey. Tillman can also be seen for a few brief but memorable scenes in May’s Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.

Whether he’s set to appear in a minor cameo role or as a major MCU superhero, Tillman is only one of many names set to join Holland for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Stranger Things regular Sadie Sink is also attached to star as a mystery character, with Marvel veterans Jon Bernthal and Mark Ruffalo back to reprise their roles as The Punisher and Hulk, respectively. Michael Mando, who first showed up as Mac Gargan a.k.a. Scorpion for a cameo in Spider-Man: Homecoming, is also reprising his role in next year’s new MCU film.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has a release date of July 31, 2026, and is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Production began in Glasgow, Scotland, just a few weeks ago and has already resulted in a number of set images and videos crawling their way around the internet. Video highlights include footage of Holland’s Spidey riding and swinging around a moving tank, while some early images have shown Peter Parker visiting a cemetery and even sharing a few words with Zendaya’s MJ.

While we wait to learn more about Tillman’s role in the new MCU Spider-Man movie, you can catch up on every last project Marvel has in the works. You can also learn more about the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, which is rumored to even include an appearance from Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool.

The Exceptionally Slim Lisen 5,000Mah Wireless Magnetic Power Bank Drops to Under $15

If you're looking for an ultra-slim power bank for your smartphone, then check out this new deal that popped up on Amazon. For a limited time, you can get a Lisen 5,000mAh wireless magnetic power bank for just $13.99 when you apply coupon code: "W7F2KBG7" in cart. It's one of the slimmest power banks and features great build quality for less than $15.

Lisen Ultra Slim 5,000mAh MagSafe Power Bank for $13.99

The Lisen 5,000mAh MagSafe power bank measures only 0.3" thin and won't add much bulk to your iPhone's profile. If you have a chonky Pro Max, then you won't even notice. It's also pretty lightweight, weighing in at just under 8 ounces. Unlike most other power banks at this price point, the Lisen model is made out of a magnesium aluminum alloy instead of plastic, which gives it a more premium feel and matches the look of a high-end smarpthone.

The Lisen power bank can wirelessly charge inductive compatible phones and MagSafe iPhones at Qi-standard (7.5W) charging rates. If you need faster charging, there's also a single UBS Type-C port with 18W power output.

How many times can you charge your phone?

Macworld lists these power consumption specs (in Whr) for the iPhone 16:

  • iPhone 16: 3,561mAh 13.7Whr
  • iPhone 16 Plus: 4,674mAh 18Whr
  • iPhone 16 Pro: 3,582mAh 13.8Whr
  • iPhone 16 Pro Max: 4,685mAh 18Whr

A 5,000mAh power bank carries an 18.5Whr capacity. An 80% power efficiency rating (which is about standard for power banks) gives you about 15Whr of available charge. That means this power bank will extend your iPhone 16 Plus or Pro Max battery life by up to 80% and the iPhone 16/Pro by over 100%.

Hollow Knight: Silksong Demo at Gamescom 2025 Is a Shinier, Silkier Version of the Same Demo From E3 2019

There's been lots of excitement over the presence of a Hollow Knight: Silksong game demo on the show floor at Gamescom this year, in both the Xbox and Nintendo booths. And by all accounts, the demo seems pretty great. Our own previewer said it's "a piece of playable art that is as fun to wield as it is to watch." But some Silksong superfans hoping for new story, new bosses, or new content to reveal themselves in this demo might be a little disappointed, because the Gamescom demo is the same demo from six years ago at E3 2019. But shinier.

We first noticed this when reading through our previews of the demo from today alongside our preview from 2019. It's more discernable when looking at 2019's video footage, but both demos cover the same two areas - the early game Moss Grotto, and the later Deep Docks. They cover the same encounters and bosses as well. We've been able to comb over some other footage posted by other individuals from Gamescom and yup, looks like an updated version of the same demo.

To be clear, that's not necessarily a bad thing. If anything, it shows how far the game has come in six years. Looking at similar clips from both demos, and there are very clear signs of polish. Lighting and backgrounds have been adjusted, platforms have been moved around slightly. Fans have even spotted the teensiest, tiniest dialogue change between the two demos. It's also not surprising that neither area has undergone massive content changes in six years. If these two levels were ready for prime time in 2019, they were likely the closest to "done" at the time that Team Cherry had ready, and thus wouldn't need developers to spend years tweaking them infinitely. And for what it's worth, this is also the first time we've seen the game on both an Xbox Series console, and the Nintendo Switch 2, as the E3 2019 demo was only on Nintendo Switch 1.

The only real disappointment to be had here is that we're not actually seeing any new content after such a long wait - no new bosses or enemies or characters or stories. So anyone looking to scour this new demo for clues as to what Silksong will be when it finally releases is probably not going to come up with much that we don't already know.

Still, that probably won't be necessary either. Team Cherry has announced an announcement of some sort for tomorrow, and after a rash of teases around Gamescom and the demo finally re-emerging after a six year cocoon, it seems likely that a release date is imminent. (Silk)soon, we won't need to scour tidbits of footage for a crumb of new Silksong info. We'll just be able to, finally, play the long-anticipated sequel to Hollow Knight for ourselves.

The Best Streaming Bundles in 2025

Ever since digital streaming was introduced as an alternative to cable, companies like Disney, Warner Bros, Netflix, and Amazon have been finding new ways to "revolutionize" monthly subscriptions, which has more or less come right back around to the concept of cable. (Only now every "channel" requires its own login and password, and costs at least $7 a month.) As the streaming service war wages on with constant changes, mergers and acquisitions, "bundles" are becoming more common as more streaming services are created, and some of these have gotten creative with including both digital and physical services.

The ability to combine multiple networks and major streaming platforms into a single subscription is becoming simpler than ever (thankfully) and gives better savings over subscribing individually to every service you'd want. Depending on your needs as a subscriber and your interests as a streamer and/or online shopper, the options available should tick many of your boxes.

Check out our picks below for the best streaming bundles to consider subscribing to in 2025 to help you save on your streaming bill.

Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max Bundle – $16.99/month (with ads)

The Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max bundle is by far the overall best bundle to subscribe to with pricing starting at $16.99/month for an ad-supported tier. (Going ad-free on all three platforms will bump up the price to $29.99/month.) Since the Hulu and Disney+ price increases arrived back in October, this bundle is overall the best deal in streaming.

With access to Disney+, viewers can stream all the Disney classics as well as new Disney properties and releases, such as Marvel TV shows and movies (Deadpool & Wolverine, Daredevil: Born Again), Pixar movies, and everything in the Star Wars universe (Including the last season of Andor).

This bundle also include Hulu, which is home to hit original series (The Bear, Shōgun) and documentaries (Minding the Gap, Flee, Enemies of the State), plus its library of movies and licensed shows from networks like FX, ABC, and Fox.

With the addition of HBO Max, subscribers also get access to that arsenal of HBO shows and Max exclusives (The White Lotus, The Last of Us, Game of Thrones) and movies (which includes Ghibli films and and all things DC). You'll also get access to shows from HGTV and other Discovery channels since the Discovery+ merger a few years back. Though unfortunately this bundle pricing does not allow for streaming HBO Max in 4K.

If a sports-focused package is more your thing, try the Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ trio basic bundle for $16.99/month (with ad-free premium bundle at $26.99/month), which includes access to live sports, even UFC fights. This is a great way to get access to the college football playoffs as well.

Xfinity Streamsaver – $15/month

For those that are already Xfinity internet and/or Xfinity TV subscribers, Xfinity StreamSaver is a fantastic way to make the most of your internet and TV bill with an exclusive bundle option. It's also worth noting that this is the only way to get bundle pricing on Netflix.

For the price of $15 per month, subscribers gain access to premium streaming platforms including Apple TV+ (home to Severance, Ted Lasso, Masters of the Air, Napoleon, Killers of the Flower Moon), Netflix Standard with ads (home to Stranger Things, The Witcher, Wednesday, Squid Game), and Peacock Premium with ads (home to The Continental, Twisted Metal, Bupkis).

Other bundle options that range in higher prices offer access to live sports, live TV channels, and DVR options accessible through multiple devices at once. Though it's worth noting that you will not get Netflix in 4K with the standard with ads plan.

Walmart+ with Paramount+ - $12.95/month

One of the newer, more resourceful subscription bundles, a subscription to Walmart+ automatically grants the customer free access to the Paramount+ digital streaming library. Paramount+ is home to popular franchises like the Star Trek Universe and Sonic the Hedgehog as well as Showtime originals (Yellowjackets). It's also where you can stream all of the Mission Impossible movies, including the Final Reckoning when it comes out.

Similar to Amazon Prime Video, Walmart+ has bundled a digital streaming service with a shopping option that mixes digital and physical in a creative way. With a standard Walmart+ membership, users have access to multiple shopping benefits such as: free delivery on almost all items, no order minimums, fuel savings, auto care, exclusive early access to sales events, and free item returns from home. If you're looking for a decent alternative to an Amazon Prime membership, this is your best bet.

For users that are interested in further streaming add-ons through Walmart+, for an additional $6.49/month they will have access to the Showtime streaming library as well.

Amazon Prime Membership - $14.99/month

One of the earliest adopters in the streaming industry alongside Netflix and Hulu, Amazon Prime Video has become a staple of the streaming world.

With access to an Amazon Prime Video subscription, viewers have exclusive access to blockbuster films and Amazon original movies (Road House, Red One) and series (Invincible, The Boys, Fallout, The Rings of Power). On top of that, it has a multitude of add-on options (Paramount+, Starz, Max, AMC+, MGM+, BritBox, Shudder, Crunchyroll, Apple TV+) that will alter your subscription fee based on the pricing of each add-on.

For the $14.99 bundle, also known as an Amazon Prime membership, subscribers automatically gain access to Amazon Prime shopping services that include free two-day shipping on select items, free same-day delivery in eligible zip codes, and free no-rush shipping that will earn rewards toward future purchases. You will also get access to exclusive discounts during Amazon Prime Day and other sales events.

For subscribers who are not interested in including Amazon Prime in their Amazon bundle, they can exclude it and only subscribe to Prime Video for $8.99/month.

DirecTV Stream - $79.99/month

Youll definitely notice one major difference between the previous choices and this one: the jump in price when looking at DirecTV Stream.

While this may intimidate some shoppers, the price to reward ratio is well-balanced. For the mentioned price above, users will have access to the Entertainment Bundle, which includes top-viewed channels (Fox News, ESPN, Univision, MSNBC, HGTV, Hallmark Channel, and 90+ others), 60,000+ movies/shows on demand, local channels, and free access to three months of premium streaming service channels (Max, Paramount+ with Showtime, Starz, Cinemax, and MGM+). Right now, for example, DirecTV is one of the only streaming services that lets you access all of the live sports you want to watch, and is generally the best streaming service for watching NBA games (including the NBA finals)

Three alternative but even more expensive bundles include unlimited access to live sports, additional channels to stream, and an increased amount of on demand movies/shows. For any of these packages, you can get access to the DirecTV free trial to try out the service for five days.

Hulu + Live TV - $83/month

If you're looking for an alternative to the Disney streaming bundle above, Hulu + Live TV is a great option. It the popular Hulu streaming service with a live TV package that features over 95 channels. Plus, it includes a Disney bundle in its monthly cost, a service that would typically set you back $16.99 per month. So in addition to more the live TV, you'll also get the base Hulu (with ads), Disney+ (with ads) and ESPN+ (with ads). ESPN+ being the only way you can watch PPV UFC fights as of 2025.

Hulu + Live TV, you'll also enjoy unlimited DVR space to record your favorite movies and shows. There's also a three-day free trial of Hulu + Live TV that lets you test out one of the best live TV services for free before having to commit to a monthly subscription.

Crunchyroll Premium – $12/Month

Although it may not seem like a bundle at first glance, the Crunchyroll Premium tiers actually do offer more than just anime. Sure, it's the best anime streaming site, but you also get the Crunchyroll Game Vault that lets you play a variety of popular anime games for free. The Game Vault only comes with a Mega Fan or Ultimate Subscription, but both of those will also gain you discounts at the Crunchyroll store.

Streaming Bundle FAQs

What's the best streaming bundle for live sports?

ESPN Unlimited has now appeared on the scene, and Disney+ was quick to launch a bundle to accompany it. A special offer has made the ESPN Unlimited bundle with ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu subscriptions just $29.99/month. With ESPN Unlimited, you'll get access to all of ESPN's linear networks, which host the likes of the NFL, NBA, and more. If you're considering the new service, I'd look into the full Hulu + Live TV subscription, which includes ESPN Unlimited and offers a three-day free trial.

If you're someone who doesn't want to miss a single game, a more comprehensive option is DirecTV Stream. The base price for a DirecTV Stream plan is $79.99/month, but the incredible streaming options for a sports package inclusion starts at $98.99/month for the 'Choice' bundle, and $109.99/month for the 'Ultimate' bundle, all include regional sports networks and on demand streaming options for sports.

Another alternative is fubo, which also includes a free trial for new subscribers. fuboTV and Disney recently struck a deal to combine services, so this alternative may become the best option once that merger finishes.

What streaming services have free trials?

If you want to test out any of the streaming services on this list before comitting to a bundle, there are a few streaming service free trials you can take advantage of. Paramount+, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and DirecTV Stream all offer some sort of free trial for new subscribers.

The Rare Lenovo Legion 7 RTX 5090 Gaming PC Is in Stock (And on Sale) at Lenovo Direct

Lenovo just listed a rare Legion gaming PC equipped with a GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card as part of the Intel Gamer Days Sale. Right now you can get a Lenovo Legion Tower 7i Gen 10 gaming PC equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor and RTX 5090 graphics card for $4,554.99 after two stackable coupon codes "EXTRAFIVE" and "BUYMORELENOVO". This is actually the first time I've seen an RTX 5090 gaming PC available on Lenovo's site. It's nearly impossible to find at other retailers like Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, or Newegg as well.

Lenovo Legion Tower 7i Gen 10 RTX 5090 Gaming PC for $4,555

The Legion Tower 7 is Lenovo's top-end desktop computer, boasting a well-ventilated chassis housing six total 120mm fans (including three fans for the 360mm liquid cooling system) to keep your components nice and cool. The system is powered by a generously oversized 1,200W power supply.

This particular configuration features an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor, GeForce RTX 5090 32GB graphics card, a whopping 64GB of DDR5-5600MHz of RAM, and a 2TB PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor has a max turbo frequency of 5.7GHz with 24 cores and a 40MB L2 cache. According to Passmark, this is Intel's best gaming CPU and really the Intel chip that can compete with AMD's X3D processors. It's paired with 64GB of DDR5 memory.

The RTX 5090 Is the Most Powerful Graphics Card Ever

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 has emerged as the most powerful consumer GPU on the market. Although Nvidia has prioritized software updates, AI features, and DLSS 4 technology to improve gameplay performance, the 5090 still boasts an impressive 25%-30% uplift over the RTX 4090 in terms of pure hardware-based raster performance. The 5090 also has more (32GB vs. 24GB) and faster (GDDR7 vs. GDDR6) VRAM compared to the 4090.

Why Choose Lenovo?

Lenovo Legion gaming PCs and laptops generally feature better build quality than what you'd find from other prebuilt PCs. For desktop PCs in particular, people like the fact that Lenovo does not use proprietary components in its computer systems, so they're easier to upgrade with off-the-shelf parts. Although we haven't yet reviewed the new 2025 models, we have reviewed last year's Legion 7 desktop and really liked its build quality and performance.

Google Announces the Pixel 10 Lineup, With More AI and Magnetic Charging

Google has officially announced the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL, and a truly dustproof foldable, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold phone. Unsurprisingly, the announcement was all about AI features, including the ability to turn your photos into videos, built right into the phone, all presented during Made by Google today in a cringingly-awkward talk show format hosted by Jimmy Fallon. And AI aside, they all come with one thing that most Android phones still lack: built-in magnetic charging, which Google is calling Pixelsnap.

So it's four phones, with the standard Pixel 10 starting at $799, the Pixel 10 Pro at $999, the Pixel 10 Pro XL at $1,199 (a bump from the 9 Pro XL's $1,099, but with double the starting storage at 256GB), and the Pro Fold is $1,799. The Pixel 10s come in blue, green, a pinkish white, and black colors, though Google decided to make them more muted in the 10 Pro models, I guess because pros aren't allowed to have fun. The 10 Pro Fold comes in just gray and green.

Pixel 10 By the Numbers

The Pixel 10's cameras are different this year, but whether it's an upgrade or not is up to your priorities. There are three cameras, instead of just two, in the base model Pixel 10 – the standard Pixel 10 now has a 10.8MP telephoto camera. However, Google made the other cameras a little worse than the Pixel 9, so now the Pixel 10 now has a 48MP main camera instead of a 50MP one, and a 13MP ultrawide with a 120-degree field of view (FOV), versus the 48MP with 123-degree FOV in last year's phone. The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro Fold models feature the same camera specs as their 9 Pro equivalents.

Google also bumped the battery capacity of all of the phones versus last year: The 10 Pro XL has 5,200mAh (up from 5,070mAh); the 10 Pro has 4,870mAh (up from 4,700mAh); and the Pixel 10 has 4,970mAh (up from 4,700mAh). Finally, the 10 Pro Fold features a 5,015mAh battery, up from 4,650mAh before.

Otherwise, these are largely the same phones as before, with very similar display specs and mostly the same RAM and storage specs (except, again, there's no 128GB Pixel 10 Pro XL model).

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold Can Handle Dust

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold may look like a 9 Pro Fold, but it has some notable changes aside from Qi2 charging, including one very big, important one: it's IP68-rated, meaning it's sealed against dust ingress. That's a big deal in the world of foldables, and a win for the Pro Fold's durability, assuming it holds up well enough over time. Dust and waterproof ratings do apply to a phone when it's released from the factory, but that protection can degrade as you own and use the phone. Foldables tend to have trouble with dust, especially in their hinges, where it can interfere with their folding.

As for the rest of the phone, Google says the phone's hinge now uses no gears and is "twice as durable" as that in the 9 Pro Fold. The company also claims the folding display is more drop-resistant and that it can handle "over 10 years of folding." It also gets a slightly larger 6.4-inch outer display, compared to 6.3 inches in its predecessor and keeps an 8-inch internal screen.

Pixel 10's Biggest Upgrades

Inside, these phones are equipped with a Tensor G5 chip that Google says has a 34 percent faster CPU and a 60 percent more improvement in local AI performance compared to the Pixel 9. The phones have MagSafe-like magnetic rings embedded into their backs, with 15W wireless charging in the standard and Pro Pixel 10s and 25W charging in the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, giving the new Pixels a leg up over Samsung's "Qi2 Ready" Galaxy S25 series, which has no magnets and only offers up to 15W charging when you add a magnet case. Google calls its magnetic charging "Pixelsnap."

With the new Tensor G5 chips comes new on-device AI features. The company showed off a slew of them, including one called Magic Cue. This feature reacts to your messages by presenting a button that can pull information from other apps to respond to texts. If someone asks what time dinner is, you might be able to tap a button to reply with the time, as taken from a dinner reservation. If they ask when your plane is landing, the button can gather info from a flight email. It pulls its information from all sorts of places, including your calendar, Gmail, and Google Photos, and can work in any app that you'd use Gboard, Google's keyboard.

The company is also letting AI seep further into your smartphone photography. The company announced a new Camera Coach feature that offers suggestions for framing and composition, for instance. And when you digitally zoom your photo way in – up to 100x – the company brings in an AI model to clean the image up, adding in more detail than the camera lens could have possibly captured. Note my use of "adding" there. The Verge notes that Google is using AI diffusion models to generate detail; also that it won't work on people and that any AI-altered images will get a C2PA content credential tag noting it was edited with AI. Still, it'll be fun to see what nonsense it comes up with for text photographed at that range.

Pixel 10 phones will come with a full year of Google AI Pro, the company's AI subscription service that gives you access to a number of the company's AI features and normally starts at $19.99 a month.

Now Up For Preorder

All four of the new phones are up for preorder on Google's website today. They'll be available October 9th, so you'll have to wait a bit to get it. We'll keep an eye on things and let you know about deals as they happen (Google Fi is offering an $800 promotion if you join and buy a Pixel 10 Pro Fold right now, for instance).

Disney Plus Plans: How Much Does a Subscription Cost?

We may take it for granted today, but imagine telling a younger version of yourself that one day there will be a magical app that will gather everything Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and National Geographic in one place you can watch whenever and wherever you want for a relatively low monthly price.

That is what Disney+ is thanks to all of the companies Disney owns, and it’s obviously one of the leading streaming platforms as it offers a wide collection of classics and original programming featuring some of the most beloved characters and stories ever told. However, there are so many streaming services out there and it can be tough to keep them all, no matter how much they claim to offer.

That being said, if you are considering signing up for Disney+ for the first time or feel the time is right to jump back into the vault as Scrooge McDuck would dive into his money bin, this guide will provide you with everything you need to know about the current Disney+ subscription plans, bundles, and more.

As of July 2025, Disney+ offers two main plans - Disney+ Basic and Disney+ Premium - and the main differences between the two are whether you get ads, if you are able to download content to watch on the go, and if you get Dolby Atmos. One thing you may not know, however, is that there are various Disney bundles that can get you multiple streaming services for a much lower price than you’d be able to get each individually. The newest streaming bundle includes Disney+, Max, and Hulu, but you can also bundle Disney+ with ESPN. You’ll be able to see all the options below, and we hope it helps make the decision of joining or not an even easier one!

Does Disney+ Have a Free Trial?

Disney+ does not currently offer any sort of free trial for new subscribers. However, there are quite a few other streaming services that do offer a free trial. And one potential work around is to sign up for a Hulu + Live TV free trial, which grants you access to Disney+ as a bonus bundle.

Disney+ Plans and Prices (As of August 2025)

All Disney+ plans increased in price on October 17, 2024. More recently, Disney+ announced its merger with Hulu starting in 2026, which has led to the Hulu and Disney+ bundle becoming the "de facto" subscription the streamer recommends you.

The following information has been updated to reflect these changes. Below is the most up-to-date information we've found from the Disney+ help page.

Disney+ Basic - $9.99/month

  • Steam Disney+ with ads
  • No downloads
  • Supports up to 5.1 audio
  • Up to 4K UHD video quality
  • Watch on four screens at once at no extra cost
  • Over 300 titles in 4K UHD and HDR

This is the cheapest Disney+ option and is excellent for those who don’t mind watching a few ads and don’t feel the need to have movies and shows ready for those times when no Wi-Fi or cellular service is available. If you travel a ton or have kids and want to load up some episodes of Bluey or Spidey and His Amazing Friends on a tablet for a vacation, you may want to consider an upgrade to the premium plan.

It’s also important to note that, while Disney+ Basic does offer over 300 titles in 4K UHD and HDR, it does not offer Dolby Atmos like Disney+ Premium does.

Disney+ Premium - $15.99/month or $159.99/year

  • Stream Disney+ with no ads
  • Unlimited downloads on up to 10 devices
  • Watch on four screens at once at no extra cost
  • Over 300 titles in 4K UHD and HDR
  • Dolby Atmos

There are only two tiers of Disney+ and this is the top one. With the increase in price, you get everything Disney+ Basic offers, but you also don’t have to sit through ads and can download as much as you want on up to 10 devices.

Another big benefit you get from upgrading to Disney+ Premium is the addition of Dolby Atmos, which is one of the leading surround sound technologies on the market. In addition to having sound enveloping your room, Dolby Atmos features spatial audio that allows creators to place sounds in specific places and fully immerse you in your favorite stories.

Disney+ Bundle Pricing

Disney+, Hulu Bundle Basic - $10.99/month

  • Disney+ with ads
  • Hulu with ads
  • No downloads
  • Watch on four screens at once at no extra cost
  • Over 300 titles in 4K UHD and HDR

This bundle is for those who want to watch everything Disney+ and Hulu have to offer, but don’t mind watching ads and don’t need to download content to their devices. With Hulu merging with Disney+ in 2026, this has essentially become the "standard" Disney+ plan.

Disney+, Hulu Bundle Premium - $19.99/month

  • Disney+ with no ads
  • Hulu with no ads
  • Unlimited downloads on up to 10 devices
  • Watch on four screens at once at no extra cost
  • Over 300 titles in 4K UHD and HDR
  • Dolby Atmos

This bundle is for those who want all the benefits of Disney+ Premium, including unlimited downloads on up to 10 devices, Dolby Atmos, and no ads, in addition to the full ad-free Hulu library.

Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Select - $16.99/month

  • Disney+ with ads
  • Hulu with ads
  • ESPN Select with ads
  • No downloads

If ESPN Select is something you’d like to add to Hulu and Disney+, this bundle or the one below it are for you. For those unfamiliar, ESPN Select (previously known as ESPN+) allows you to stream live sports from across the world and enjoy a ton of on-demand content including the entire 30 for 30 library, select ESPN films, game replays, and more. You also unlock exclusive fantasy sports tools and premium articles on ESPN.

Both of these trio bundles get you the same content on ESPN, you just have to decide if you want ads on Disney+ and Hulu, if you want to download content, and if Dolby Atmos is worth it to you!

Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Select Bundle Premium - $26.99/month

  • Disney+ with no ads
  • Hulu with no ads
  • ESPN+ with ads
  • Unlimited downloads on up to 10 devices
  • Watch on four screens at once at no extra cost
  • Over 300 titles in 4K UHD and HDR
  • Dolby Atmos

Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited Bundle - $35.99/month ($29.99 for new subscribers)

  • Disney+ with ads
  • Hulu with ads
  • Access to all of ESPN's networks and services, including ESPN+
  • No downloads

The latest addition to Disney's ever-growing list of bundle options is ESPN Unlimited, a new streaming option from ESPN that accompanied the rebrand of ESPN+. The biggest difference between these two (that leads to the particularly large price difference) is that ESPN Unlimited includes all of ESPN's linear networks, which host streams of the NFL, NBA, and more. As such, the pricing here is more in line with what we'd expect from a live TV streaming service.

Fortunately, Disney+ has announced a special offer that discounts the price of both the ad-supported and ad-free options for the bundle until January.

Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited Premium Bundle -

  • Disney+ with no ads
  • Hulu with no ads
  • Access to all of ESPN's networks and services, including ESPN+
  • Downloads

Legacy Disney Bundle - $21.99/month

  • Disney+ with no ads
  • Hulu with ads
  • ESPN+ with ads
  • No downloads
  • This plan is no longer available for purchase but existing subscribers can keep it as long as they don’t cancel or change it

This plan is a legacy one that is only available to those who are already subscribed to it, meaning no new account can take advantage of it. If you are a member of this bundle, just know you can keep it as long as you want if you don’t cancel or change it!

Disney +, Hulu, and Max Bundle Pricing

Disney+, Hulu, Max Bundle (With Ads) - $16.99/month

  • Disney+ with ads, including Disney+ Basic features
  • Hulu with ads
  • Max with ads

Disney+, Hulu, Max Bundle (No Ads) - $29.99/month

  • Disney+ with no ads, including Disney+ Premium features
  • Hulu with no ads
  • Max with no ads

What's New on Disney+?

The August 2025 lineup for Disney+ has a little bit of everything. Well, except Star Wars. The service will be celebrating World Princess Week with a new Princess Stream and a new villain-focused special. Several programs fro Disney Jr. are making their way to streaming, including Disney Jr.'s Ariel and Me and Winnie the Pooh. On the MCU side, we get the new Black Panther spin-off series, Eyes of Wakanda. From Nat Geo, we'll be getting the second season of Shipwreck Hunters Australia and the documentary Limitless: Live Better Now. For whatever reason, the service is also picking up tons of Christmas reality shows and holiday romance movies.

Halloween Revealed by Friday the 13th: The Game Developer — IGN Interviews IllFonic on the Single-Player Story Mode, Working With John Carpenter, and More

Halloween was revealed at the Future Games Show during gamescom 2025 with a debut trailer and a raft of game details.

IllFonic, the asymmetrical horror specialist behind the likes of Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game, Friday the 13th: The Game, and Predator Hunting Grounds, is developing Halloween and will handle publishing with Gun Media. It’s based on the iconic 1978 movie, and is due out at some point in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC.

Unlike IllFonic’s previous horror games, Halloween has a single-player mode. John Carpenter was involved, as was Compass International Pictures, which produced the original film.

Here’s the official blurb:

Step into the chilling world of John Carpenter’s genre-defining film, now transformed into a suspenseful one-versus-many stealth horror experience. Put on the iconic mask to become the ultimate slasher, Michael Myers, stalking and executing the citizens of Haddonfield one by one, or striving to thwart Michael Myers’ plans as Civilians determined to save the unaware townsfolk before it’s too late.
Stick to the shadows as Civilians, seeking out Haddonfield residents to warn them and searching for a way to contact the authorities. As Michael Myers, give them a reason to fear the dark and cut the phone lines to prevent the police from ruining his favorite holiday. Whether playing solo in story mode, against bots offline, or facing others in online multiplayer, each mode rewards stealth, strategy, and skillful play.
Staying true to the original film, IllFonic masterfully recreates the eerie atmosphere of Haddonfield across multiple maps and authentic locations. With a haunting ambience and score inspired by the legendary movie, Halloween brings the terror home in a new experience that will keep both old and new generations looking over their shoulders.

Ahead of the announcement, IGN had the chance to interview Chief Creative Officer Jared Gerritzen and Design Director Jordan Mathewson to find out everything you need to know about Halloween.

IGN: People know IllFonic for their multiplayer horror games. Why was having a single-player mode for Halloween important for you?

Jared Gerritzen: It's definitely because of the games that we've done. This is our fifth runaround with a multiplayer only game. But in the past, in my previous jobs, anytime that a multiplayer-only game gets released, especially if it has a very strong fan base — it is just a fact that some people don't play multiplayer games. And we've learned that in the past. In Ghostbusters we added the ability to play by yourself and better AI. Hardcore Ghostbusters fans were able to come in and play the game and get a great experience, and then they got the skills, and then they saw that multiplayer button and then they came in. And it's really cool because I now know people that were like, I came in for Ghostbusters, but now I'm a multiplayer fan, and now I'm playing multiplayer games.

Because I do think that in this day and age we are getting these massively cool and exciting IPs, but if there isn't a multiplayer experience and if there isn't a single-player experience, I do think that people don't get those itches scratched. And so year after year, each one of our IllFonic games, it's an iterative process where we look at the last project and we try to do better. And so with this, it was very important, especially with it being Halloween, that we brought in an experience for people that don't play hardcore multiplayer games.

Asymmetrical multiplayer games can be a little bit more hardcore too. And the stress of being the killer versus a bunch of bullies can be pretty daunting. And so we really wanted to make a way that people can play a single-player game, get a bit of a story, get deeper into the universe. And so it was very, very important. And that's why we've not only ramped up our development team, really put in some major effort on getting some really awesome AI engineers, but also bringing on Pollard to help out with their skills and their abilities. So I think it's going to be a really cool experience just to have that total package finally of a popular IP.

IGN: How will the single-player mode actually work? You mentioned story. How extensive will that be?

Jared Gerritzen: Well, so we can't really talk that much about that because that's definitely a different phase. But we are working with John. We are working with Malek [Akkad, President of Compass International Pictures]. We've got some really great writers that we're working with to bring this world to it.

It will crisscross the film a lot. When we take an IP, we really, really have to be a fan of it. We turn down IPs more than we chase IPs. We know this film like the back of our hands. And so there's a lot of things that I think that if you have never seen the film, you'll get this great experience, but if you have seen the film, you'll see those really cool moments that you've seen for decades. If you're a fan that just knows who Michael Myers is and you've seen a couple of the newer films, that'll be cool. But I think that it'll be fun for people to be able to really connect to the OG film.

IGN: You’ve decided to focus on the original film. Why was that important for you, and how involved has John Carpenter been in the process?

Jared Gerritzen: Listen, I have definitely said we need to make sure John's happy multiple times! John Carpenter's put out genuinely some of my favorite films, like my top five films. He's put out such amazing films that just us getting to work with him, like with Predator or being able to work with Dan Aykroyd and Ivan Reitman with Ghostbusters, we're used to that. We're used to people like, this is their baby, this is their thing. We're playing in their sandbox. But I do genuinely feel that we leave making some really cool stuff that they're very happy about.

Malek, this is his birthright. His father was the one that produced this. He has been working on and with Halloween since he was a child. And so him and John are really the arbiters where when we come up with a crazy idea, we have to come and present it and we have to explain it and most likely give them a couple of days to unpack it, and then come back and get more of those questions.

So the way that I see it is, by working with those guys and proving to those guys what we're doing is right, I think that that should mean that anyone who's a fan should also be happy with what we're doing. Because with a video game, we have to add systems, we have to add gameplay, we have to make sense of a scene that in the film you're like, okay, that's a cool scene. But in the game, you don't cut the camera, you don't have a way to just go like, okay, other location cut. We're trying to explain these things, and I genuinely feel some of the systems that we're going to talk about when we start going more heavy with the gameplay, I think that people will definitely go like, oh wow, that explains some major components in the franchise. And when we've presented it, people have been very happy with it.

And honestly, something that we'll talk about in the future, I'm extremely happy we figured it out, because it’s changed the way that you look at Michael Myers. It's been very cool. It's always stressful coming and saying, ‘Hey, here's this wild idea.’ Honestly, the way that they see us is as a bunch of kids. 1978, I was two. Jordan was still floating around. I'm the person that says, ‘Okay, in the seventies we did this, phones had cables connected to the wall.’ And so it has been one of those really weird things where by choosing that era, it's so far away, and technology has gone so far, that it's like playing — I don't want to say it's as bad as a Red Dead — but it's definitely like playing something that a lot of kids won't understand.

Jordan Mathewson: It is the purest form of Halloween. It is the starting of that entire concept, and it's been wonderful not only to go towards that period piece mentality of making a unique seventies American town that we see in the movie itself. And the reason it resonates and kind of clicks into that horrific element is it’s such a calm and normal, unassuming town that you wouldn't expect there to be this mass killer on the loose.

So it gave us a really good, grounded foundation to lay down everything that we wanted to in the play space on top of it being in that era. It gives us just a lot of good things to work off of that keep it very focused into what Halloween is as a whole. It's been really fun going down that path and focusing on that movie.

IGN: You can’t just make a phone call outside to help save you! Were there any moments during development when you had to explain to younger staff how things worked back then?

Jordan Mathewson: One that's pretty tame is getting ahold of the police back then. We have 911 now, which is the understanding of how you get ahold of emergency, but it's not quite the same back then. It wasn't developed like that. So we have to do a lot of technological understanding syncs to make sure everyone is very well aware of what existed back then.

We do some research just how that technology would flow into the Illinois section of the country. The idea of landlines, phone cords, that kind of thing. The way that you dial, it's not always buttons, sometimes it's the rotary. So it's very much a fun conversation, and we're always exploring back and forth the different things. And then from there it's like, how do we make this a gameplay mechanic? Because that can be fun if we're thinking about trying to set it in place and not making it a hassle and actually making it a mechanic.

IGN: Does Halloween have a canon? Does that factor into what you’re doing? Do you have to obey any rules?

Jared Gerritzen: Yeah! There's a lot of rules that are set that we don't talk about, that have been there since the beginning. But there's a lot of elements where we really try to use the film as the canon. We're pulling from as many frames as we can.

There's definitely contention points and caveat points that we have to go like, well, the gameplay. So it's not one-to-one, but it's pretty much like, these are elements, these are the factors that we have to pull in. But really it is about Michael's Halloween night, like him going out. You're not stalking Laurie in the day, and you're not doing boring stuff. You're going to that, okay, this is what he was doing when it wasn't about him. And so those are the big things that we're really trying to push.

It's very difficult, but we have done this a lot in the past. And honestly, the great part is when we have to push out that wall and break out of the box.

IGN: Have you had any fun situations where someone has had to point out that it would actually be like this at this point? Who are the custodians of the Halloween lore?

Jared Gerritzen: Yeah! Malek and Ryan [Freimann, Trancas Films] are absolutely… they've been very diligent. They've been really great, and it's added the authenticity.

The mask is probably the best. We had to capture the mask in the highest possible fidelity. Looking at original molds, looking at original masks, they're degraded. It's not like someone put it in and made it exactly the same, but the turnaround on making just Mike's mask has been, I mean, that’s probably the greatest thing to go like, okay, where did you guys spend a lot of effort? And that was the key thing, because when you get the screenshots of the renders… there's been a lot of Michael Myers' out there and a lot of other games, and they've been made by top top artists, but it was part of like, okay, we're doing all of these other things.

We put a laser beam on that mask, and every wrinkle, every crack, finding out exactly how it happened, talking to them like, ‘Hey, in this shot, it's like this and this shot, it's like that.’ And it's like, well, yeah, because he took the mask off in between and when he pulled it down, it kind of folded a little bit differently or the hair's a little bit different. So that's been the thing that we've really kind of cut our teeth with them.

Like I said, we're in their sandbox so we have to adhere to it, but they've been very understanding and very flexible for what we need to do.

Anno 117: Pax Romana – The Final Preview

My first hands-on with Anno 117: Pax Romana left me excited for Ubisoft Mainz' latest take on the city-builder, which tasks players with founding a thriving metropolis within the Roman Empire. But I wouldn't necessarily say I was intrigued by it. The studio made significant strides in its game design with 2018's industrial revolution-focussed Anno 1800, and 117 felt wary of rocking the boat in the wake of 1800’s success.

While Pax Romana demonstrated some interesting ideas, like enabling production buildings to affect the mood and prosperity of nearby structures, forcing you to think more carefully about your city's layout, it otherwise felt a little safe, a little familiar. That isn't necessarily a huge problem—getting to build Roman cities with 1800’s core systems was enough of a hook, and I would merrily play that game. But I was nonetheless left wondering whether stepping deeper into the past would inhibit Ubisoft Mainz from carrying the city-builder forward.

Then again, I'd only seen half of the game. That initial preview session focussed on constructing a city in the province of Latium, one of two provinces you'll be able to manage in Anno 117's nebulous, historically unmoored representation of Rome. All lush green hills, lavender fields, and terracotta rooftops, Latium offers everything you'd expect from a city-builder set in the Roman Empire, and perhaps because of that, it doesn't feel especially surprising.

What's immediately interesting is that you can start the game in either province, establishing yourself there before expanding to the other province later.

By comparison, my more recent play session let players choose between Latium and Albion. Anno 117's second province is drastically different from Latium's Mediterranean paradise, and where Anno 117 has the chance to stand out from other games that depict the legacy of Rome.

What's immediately interesting is that you can start the game in either province, establishing yourself there before expanding to the other province later. This is a big change from Anno 1800, where you always started in the European-themed Old World before establishing colonies in the tropical New World, exporting exotic goods like cacao and bananas for your industrialised hoi-polloi to enjoy at home.

How this starting choice will affect the structure of trade between Anno 117's two provinces isn't wholly clear. Yet what is clear is that building a city in Albion feels substantially different from constructing one in Latium.

For starters, Albion looks and fields a world away from Latium. Where Latium's undulating landscape is vividly green and inviting, Albion is wild, weird, and wet. Its landscape is all brownish scrub, dark evergreen forests, and glistening marshland wracked constantly by wind and rain. Imagined from the perspective of a Roman soldier, it feels appropriately alien, the last place any Centurion who marched out of Italy would want to end up (then again, as someone who lives in Scotland and begins to melt in any temperature above 18 degrees Celsius, it feels fondly like home.)

Establishing a settlement remains roughly the same between the two provinces. Your basic construction material is still timber, sourced by placing logging camps in forests, then transporting those logs to nearby woodcutters to be fashioned into building materials. Roads still start out as simple dirt paths, and all production buildings require a nearby warehouse to efficiently transport goods around your settlement.

Likewise, the economic fundamentals are also the same. Basic income is generated by houses, but only when you meet the needs and desires of the class of citizen who lives in that dwelling. Once you meet all those needs, you can then upgrade the building to house a higher class of citizen. This generates more income, but involves fulfilling more complex needs that require exponentially more elaborate production chains.

In a new addition to Anno 117, you can also boost a house's income (and other stats like 'happiness' and 'health'), by placing certain production buildings within your residential areas. Building a tunic spinner among your dwellings, for example, provides +1 income for every home inside the spinner's radius. Other buildings, like charcoal burners, can have a negative impact on these stats, so you want to keep those distanced from your core settlement. The intent is to fold in extra strategy and reward more thoughtful city-planning, and from my experience with both sides of the game, it works.

Yet while the underlying systems are the same, the actual production chains vary significantly from those of Latium. Your lowest class of citizen, which in Albion are named 'Waders', subsist on a diet of cockles and eels dredged from the abundant waters around you. Your second-tier building material isn't roman brick but wattle-and-daub, created by mixing mud with dried cattail reeds.

Many of these resources are harvested from an environment that you don't see in Latium at all—the marshes. Far more than a thematic affectation in Albion, its wetlands are a crucial part of Celtic civilisation. Many Celtic buildings can be constructed on the marsh itself, and some of them—like reed farms and cattle pens—can only be built within the fens, erected on wooden poles driven into the mud, and strung together with creaking networks of boardwalks.

Many Celtic buildings can be constructed on the marsh itself, and some of them—like reed farms and cattle pens—can only be built within the fens, erected on wooden poles driven into the mud, and strung together with creaking networks of boardwalks.

While these buildings afford a distinguishing flavour to Albion, curiously, it’s the boardwalks that make the most difference mechanically. These are constructed in the same way as roads; by dragging them across the landscape with your mouse. Yet where roads simply cost coin to build, boardwalks require timber. Since every major structure requires timber at the outset, this means you have a much higher initial demand for building materials Albion than you do in Latium, which makes getting your settlement up and running slightly more challenging.

Alongside this greater resource pressure, the boardwalks cause several other complications. Like regular buildings, marshland structures require access to a warehouse, further increasing your timber cost. Moreover, many wetland-specific production buildings need plenty of additional space for reed crops and cattle paddies, which can easily encroach upon one another and reduce productivity. Consequently, laying out the boardwalks to maximise space without obliterating your wood supply makes for an unexpectedly challenging spatial puzzle.

What results, even at this early stage, is a highly distinctive settlement, a semi-aquatic village with one foot soaked in prehistory. Where Albion truly begins to fascinate, however, is what happens when you start upgrading these basic buildings to accommodate a higher class of citizen. Upon upgrading your first house, Albion's Anno map presents you with a choice: do you want your structure to house 'Romano-Celts’ (i.e. native Celts who have converted to a Roman lifestyle), or do you want to maintain the culture and architecture of your home nation?

Which of these you prioritise leads to diverging needs and desires, and thus different production chains. Higher-tier Celts want to eat cheese and adorn themselves with fancy bracelets, while Romano-Celts want to eat more Imperial cuisine and maintain their appearance with the use of hand mirrors. On top of this, the two cultures receive improved bonuses from different traits. Romano-Celts have a more formalised education system and are thus more adept at acquiring scholarly knowledge, while Celtic peoples who keep to the old ways receive greater benefits from faith.

The choice you make is also intended to influence the look and layout of your city. Adopting Roman culture encourages players to build a single, large metropolis, supporting which may require you to drain the marshes to create more building space and farmable land, relying on aqueducts rather than natural water bodies to keep your city hydrated. Sticking with the Celtic traditions, on the other hand, will see you continue to build in and around nature, using the wetlands and the forests without making large scale alterations to the landscape.

It appears you won't be forced along one of these cultural avenues for the duration of your game, either. Upgrade paths unlock again upon reaching the next tier. If you then decide you want to switch from Celtic to Romano-Celtic or vice-versa, you should be able to.

How these decisions work in practice, and the impact repeatedly switching between one or the other has on your settlement, I cannot say. This play session was considerably shorter than my time with Latium, just long enough to establish a basic settlement and get a quick overview of the second, Celtic civilisational tier. While there seems to be some overlap between all Anno's cultural variants, I can't say just how much Celtic and Romano-Celtic resources and structures diverge, nor what the differences are between the hybrid Romano-Celtic lifestyle and the pure, Latium-derived Roman culture.

Nonetheless, there is one clear evolution here over previous Anno games. Anno 1800 and the futuristic Anno 2205 treated your colonies as secondary concerns—settlements whose purpose was to support your primary metropolis. In Anno 117, building settlements in Latium and Albion will be equally involved. Indeed, given the opportunities to define its culture across multiple evolutionary phases, Albion may even have more layers to it than the dedicated Roman settled that would, theoretically, serve as the epicentre the Empire. Colour me intrigued.

Disney+ Launches New ESPN Unlimited Bundle, Special Offer Makes Hulu Free for First 12 Months

ESPN Unlimited has officially arrived on the streaming scene. The new service, which starts at $29.99/month, hosts ESPN originals with the addition of all of ESPN's linear networks. The existing ESPN+ plan has rebranded as ESPN Select.

As the parent company of ESPN, Disney is naturally celebrating the launch with a new Disney+ bundle, and of course it’s bringing its good friend (and future victim) Hulu along for the ride. While the bundle of all three services will start at $35.99/month, the company has announced a special offer that pretty much gets you Disney+ and Hulu for free.

Try Out ESPN Unlimited, Get Free Disney+ and Hulu for 12 Months

While the regular ad-supported bundle will be priced at $35.99, Disney+ has announced an exclusive offer for new subscribers in the U.S. that drops that price to $29.99 for your first 12 months. So, for a closer price to the pre-existing ESPN+ bundle, you get access to all of the networks now included in ESPN Unlimited.

Another way to look at the offer is that you essentially get Disney+ and Hulu for “free,” as a standalone ESPN Unlimited subscription starts at $29.99/month, the same price as the bundled deal.

An ad-free premium plan is also available at a whopping $44.99/month. A similar discount is applied for new subscribers, who can get their first 12 months at $38.99/month. Note that ESPN Unlimited includes linear networks that inevitably have commercials, so the "ads question" only applies to Hulu and Disney+.

Thankfully, you don’t have to make your decision immediately: The offer is live until January 5, 2026.

What Is ESPN Unlimited?

ESPN Unlimited is a new and particularly comprehensive sports streaming subscription from ESPN. For context, the more limited plan previously known as ESPN+ has become ESPN Select and continues to cost $11.99/month. Subscribers to the existing Disney+ bundle with ESPN+ will see this change reflected going forward.

The main draw of the new service is access to ESPN's linear networks that host the NFL, CFB, NBA and WNBA, as well as SportsCenter, College GameDay, First Take, and more flagship coverage from the media giant. These streams are in addition to what you’d previously find on ESPN+, namely ESPN originals like the 30 for 30 library. You can see a full comparison of the ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited offerings here.

The ESPN streaming service arrives amidst big shifts in the licensing space for sports. UFC, which was previously available as PPV events on ESPN+, will be moving away from the PPV format and onto Paramount+ after a multi-billion dollar deal.

For whatever reason, it’s typically been a pain just trying to watch a full season of any league on a single service. Here’s to hoping these big licensing moves change that.

Triangle Strategy Shadow Drops for PS5 and Xbox With Limited-Time Discount

Square Enix is shadow dropping Triangle Strategy for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S today.

The surprise launch finally brings the tactical RPG to other platforms following its original launch on Nintendo Switch back in early 2022. Better yet, the announcement arrives alongside a new launch trailer for the PS5 and Xbox versions of Triangle Strategy, with PC players now also able to pick up a copy on the Microsoft Store.

PlayStation and Xbox players have waited years to see Triangle Strategy make the jump to their preferred platforms, so Square Enix is commemorating the moment with a limited-time offer. Those who purchase the game on either platform before September 4, 2025, can take advantage of a 30% launch discount.

That brings the price down to $41.99, or about $18 cheaper than its standard $59.99 price tag. It’s a deal that encourages early adopters to pick up Triangle Strategy within the next two weeks, though PlayStation players should note the offer is only available to PlayStation Plus subscribers.

“A brand-new tactical RPG from the team behind the Bravely and Octopath Traveler series,” Triangle Strategy’s PlayStation Store description says. “Experience the dramatic story of war-torn Norzelia from different perspectives in stunning HD-2D, with a complex turn-based battle system.”

Triangle Strategy launched as yet another addition to Square Enix’s lineup of HD-2D video games March 4, 2022. We called it “Great” in our original 8/10 review. Although we weren’t particularly impressed with its cast of characters, we felt its “grounded human story” had solid support thanks to its “simple but well-designed and appropriately challenging combat.”

Triangle Strategy fell at number 10 in our list of the top 10 tactics RPGs of all time. It also managed to find its way to our list of the best RPGs of 2022.

The Best Capture Cards in 2025

If you’ve ever wanted to record your gameplay, stream live to your followers, or create high-quality video content, a capture card is practically a must. These handy little boxes allow you to capture video from one device, like a console, camera, or gaming PC, and then stream or record it on another. While some of those devices might come with built-in recording capabilities, a good capture card adds extra flexibility, ensures solid footage quality, and more.

TL;DR – These Are the Best Capture Cards:

There are, of course, some exceptions. If you’re only recording and streaming on a single, top-tier gaming PC equipped with a great Nvidia or AMD GPU, everything needed for a high-quality capture experience will be at your fingertips. However, it will put a good amount of demand on the computer, leading to potential performance drops. In some cases, offloading some of the work to a capture card can significantly improve your gaming performance and footage.

Capture cards are especially popular among gamers, streamers, content creators, and even video professionals, thanks to how great they can make footage look. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all capture card either, so we’ve found the best options for a range of uses from reputable brands like Elgato, AVerMedia, Asus, and more. Want 4K at 144fps passthrough with VRR and HDR to ensure games play exactly as intended on PS5? You’re covered. 4K at 30fps HDR recording is also becoming more common, even if it’s overkill for Twitch streamers. Some highly capable budget options are available, and if you’re looking to set it and forget it, we've found internal capture cards that can live inside your PC. All of our picks are easy to use and work with popular capture software like OBS (which is also free!). Take a look at our favorites below.

Additional contributions by Kevin Lee and Georgie Peru

1. Elgato HD60 X

Best Capture Card

Elgato has the whole capture device thing all figured out, and the Elgato HD60 X is a prime example of what the company is capable of. You can use this external capture card with pretty much any setup, whether it be your gaming PC, Mac, PS5, or Xbox X/S. It connects via USB-C and works with a wide variety of streaming and capture software like Twitch, YouTube, OBS, XSplit, and Streamlabs. So unless you have very particular setup needs, it’s a one-stop shop to get sharing all your high-quality visuals, including that it also comes with the (braided) cables you need to power and capture your gameplay.

The Elgato HD60 X provides lag-free passthrough for up to 4K with HDR10 video at 60Hz with VRR. Though it’s worth noting that the unit can’t output any faster than 60Hz, so you’ll want to take a look at some of our other options if you’re gaming on a high-refresh-rate monitor or TV. As far as recording goes, the unit can capture 4K footage at 30fps or 1080p footage at a smoother 60fps.

2. Elgato Game Capture Neo

Best Budget Capture Card

A capture card doesn’t need to cost you hundreds of dollars, but beware the many random sub-$50 listings that riddle Amazon that might seem fine and appealing but, in practice, just present more headaches. The Elgato Game Capture Neo is the best “cheap” capture card out there and is often on sale. From firsthand experience, I guarantee that it’s worth the extra expense to grab a card from a reputable brand. Rest assured that it will be with you for the long haul.

Game recording is limited to 1080p at 60fps. In reality, most streams are downscaled to 1080p anyway, and 4K video tends to be compressed on streaming platforms, making a minimal difference to viewers. Many games still don’t run natively at 4K, and there will be less strain on your PC or gaming system. Even if you want to play in 4K, the Game Capture Neo offers zero-lag 4K60 passthrough with HDR. So, action will feel and look the same, even when recording gameplay.

That functionality comes in an easy-to-use device with a compact form factor. A USB-C, along with an HDMI in/out, is available for a simple connection to gaming systems and cameras with quick switching that’s perfect for variety streaming. Instant support for a range of recording software, including Elgato’s own, makes this a true plug-and-play capture card. Unfortunately, there’s no interface for audio mixing, so you’ll need to find another way to capture game chat.

3. AVerMedia Live Gamer Extreme 3

Best Capture Card for Consoles

So, you’ve got the latest console(s), and now you need a capture card that can keep up with the top-tier specs while capturing or streaming gameplay. The AVerMediaLive Gamer Extreme 3 is a plug-and-play USB option that offers low latency, uncompressed 4K recording at 30fps, which should be plenty for most content creators, though there’s no HDR capture. With also virtually no latency for the passthrough that supports 4K/60fps alongside VRR and HDR, your gaming won’t be affected whatsoever, and you can always scale down the resolution for higher refresh rates.

The AVerMediaLive Gamer Extreme 3 is highly capable and is ready to work with just about any streaming platform and capture software, including Twitch, YouTube, OBS, and RECentral. And though it lacks any RGB lighting, there’s a blue/red LED indicator that tells you if the device is receiving an HDMI signal.

4. AVerMedia Live Gamer Ultra 2.1

Best Capture Card for PS5

The PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro can record gameplay and store it on the console that can be transferred to an external drive. However, max time restrictions, limited editing capabilities, and a lack of customizations make an external capture card worth the investment. The AVerMedia Live Gamer Ultra 2.1 is one of the few options up to the challenge with zero sacrifices to gameplay while recording or streaming.

The Live Gamer Ultra 2.1 offers an HDMI 2.1 port (hence, the name), so its passthrough capabilities are exceptional. Games can still be played in 4K at 144Hz with no latency when simultaneously recording gameplay, which is more than PS5 is even capable of. VRR and HDR are supported, ensuring all the action stays smooth.

Recording and streaming gameplay is just as great, thanks to the 4K at 60fps capture. Video files will look stunning with rich colors and sharp details. Game chat can also be easily recorded using the dual 3.5mm jacks and 5.1 channel party chat support, meaning you won’t need extra cables or software – unless you want to make major changes. It’s the ideal capture card for gamers looking to play and record at high frame rates.

The Live Gamer Ultra 2.1 still keeps relatively compact dimensions and remains a plug-and-play option that should immediately receive the PS5’s signal – just ensure HDCP is off on the PS5.

Check out all the best capture cards for PS5.

5. Elgato 4K X

Best Capture Card for Xbox

Just like the PS5, the Xbox Series X/S is capable of capturing gameplay and storing it, but its limitations make a capture card a must if you plan to record and stream regularly. Clips can only be recorded for a few minutes at a time on internal storage, and while an external storage option bumps that up to one hour, anything longer requires a capture card. The Elgato 4K X allows for streaming on YouTube, editing full-res clips, overlays, and no time restrictions.

The Elgato 4K X works wonderfully with the Xbox Series X, as it offers 4K240 passthrough or 4K60, ensuring minimal performance sacrifices are made when recording gameplay. When it comes to the actual capture of footage, the Elgato can handle 4K capture at 144fps in SDR (more than the Xbox is capable of) or 4K at 30fps in HDR. This card also exceeds the max capture capabilities of the Series S, which taps out at 1440p at 60fps, so your footage should look exceptional with this card.

After setting up the Elgato 4K X, it can allow for professional-looking live streams with overlays via OBS, XSplit, and more. The high-bandwidth USB 3.2 Gen 2 connection prevents drops in frames or bottlenecks, even when transferring large 4K30 HDR files. Party chat audio can also be sent using the HDMI port, but game/lobby chat and streamer mics will require extra effort.

6. AVerMedia Live Gamer Bolt

Best Capture Card for Streaming

The AVerMedia Live Gamer Bolt is hands down the best capture card for streaming. It delivers the lowest level of added latency we've seen out of any capture solution at only a couple of milliseconds. This makes it perfect for games that require cat-like reflexes or twitch aiming.

The AVerMedia Live Gamer Bolt also records great looking footage at either 4K60 HDR or 1080p240. The only tricky thing about this capture solution is you need a Thunderbolt 3 port, which means you can use it with only a few compatible gaming motherboards and gaming laptops. You should definitely double check your system's ports before buying this capture card.

7. Asus TUF CU4K30

Best USB-C Capture Card

A lot of video game capture cards are counting on you to have either an open PCIe slot or a classic USB-A port. If you’re running a laptop as your streaming PC, those two connections might not be an option. The Asus TUF CU4K30 to save the day when you're working with only USB-C ports.

This USB-C based capture card will let you easily wire it up with a laptop to capture your game footage, supporting a 4K resolution at 30fps, 2K for a 60fps stream, or even 1080p for a super-smooth 120fps capture. Meanwhile, the card can pass the video signal from your game system through to your monitor or TV at 4K60 with HDR, 2K144, or 1080p240. This is all built into a compact, aluminum chassis that includes RGB lighting, which doubles as a status indicator.

8. Elgato Game Capture 4K60 Pro Mk. 2

Best Internal Capture Card

The Elgato Game Capture 4K60 Pro Mk. 2 is the perfect way to celebrate just getting Partnered with Twitch. It’s pricey, but hey, all those late nights streaming have finally paid off. This PCIe internal card captures footage up to a 4K resolution directly to your hard drive, up to 140Mbps.

Beyond the ability to record 4K HDR footage, the Elgato Game Capture 4K60 Pro Mk. 2 offers a few extra features like Multi App Access so you can have multiple pieces of streaming and/or recording software accessing your capture card at the same time. Additionally, the Elgato's HDR tone mapping allows users to play at 4K HDR while streaming in SDR.

9. AVerMedia Live Gamer Duo

Best Internal Capture Card for Streaming

If you want to step up your streaming game with dedicated hardware, then the AVerMedia Live Gamer Duo is a highly capable option. As the name suggests, this capture card is meant to handle two tasks simultaneously. So, it has two separate HDMI inputs, with one to handle gameplay from your console or gaming PC and another to take the HDMI video feed from a digital camera. That'll let you forget about a webcam and use the high-quality sensor and optics of even a hefty DSLR to upgrade the quality of your on-screen appearance with 1080p60 video.

As far as the gaming feed goes, this capture card has quality in mind there as well. It will capture 1080p60 video game content, including HDR. The AVerMedia software will let you handle both video input sources individually, so you can set up your streams however you prefer. As for the gaming itself, the AVerMedia Live Gamer Duo is incredibly flexible with latency-free passthrough for 4K60 HDR, 1440p144, or 1080p240 footage, so you won't have to sacrifice your gaming experience to land this capture quality.

10. Razer Ripsaw HD

Best Capture Card with an Interface

The Razer Ripsaw HD is a solid option for capturing 1080p at 60fps. While it shouldn’t be used as a dedicated audio streamer, this capture card is one of the few to offer basic, hassle-free audio mixing through a 3.5mm input and output. Thanks to Razer’s thoughtful design, you get access to the 3.5mm jack on the front of the box, while the USB and HDMI connections remain at the back.

Although the Razer Ripsaw HD is limited to capturing 1080p at 60fps, it allows 4K60 passthrough, meaning as you stream, it’s still possible to enjoy a 4K resolution. Unfortunately, that 4K passthrough is limited to SDR (HDR is not supported on this capture card). At least both capture and passthrough are reliable with minimal lag and frame drops.

While Razer is known for its flashy designs, the Razer Ripsaw HD keeps it pretty subdued with its aesthetically pleasing all-black look. Setup is equally simple; just plug it into your system, run some capture software, and you’ll be good to record all the action. To make life even easier, OBS and XSplit work seamlessly. However, no native capture software is on board.

How to Pick the Best Capture Card

If you’re ready to take your content creation to the next level, you’ll need to know how to pick the best capture card.

The first thing you’ll need to think about is your needs and setup. Are you primarily a PC gamer or do you spend most of your time on consoles? Understanding your gaming platform of choice will help narrow down your options and ensure compatibility with your setup. Make sure the capture card you choose has the necessary ports and connections to hook up your gaming platform, as well as any additional devices like cameras or microphones that you plan to use for your streams.

Next up, think about the features you need. Are you looking for 4K/60Hz recording capabilities? HDR support? Maybe you want the flexibility to overlay a video feed from a camera onto your gameplay footage for that extra personal touch. Make a list of must-have features to help guide your decision.

Of course, you’ll also need to take into account your budget. Capture cards can vary widely in price, so set a budget that works for you and explore options within that range. Remember, investing in a quality capture card now can pay off in the long run with better performance and reliability.

Capture Card FAQs

What does a capture card do?

Capture cards capture video and audio from a device, such as a PC or console, then converts it into signals that can be shared across platforms like YouTube or video files.

What capture cards do most streamers use?

Elgato is one of the biggest names in the industry. However, AverMedia is also climbing the ranks. The Elgato HD60 X is one of the most popular capture cards, and we consider it the best.

What software do I need to use a capture card?

The most common and popular software for capture cards is OBS Studio. It’s free and features all the essentials needed to get streaming and recording. It works seamlessly with Twitch, YouTube, and more, and has support for overlays, scenes, webcam, etc. The majority of capture card brands like AVerMedia, Elgato, and EVGA support OBS, and it works on Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.

You’re not limited to only OBS. Streamlabs is an excellent option for streaming novices, and most capture card manufacturers also feature their own capture software. XSplit Broadcaster is another solid OBS alternative, offering a more beginner-friendly interface. However, the free version has limitations, including an XSplit watermark; you'll have to pay a licensing fee to unlock all of its capabilities.

Beyond capture software, it's not a bad idea to grab a program for editing recorded gameplay footage. DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, and ShotCut are solid free options, while FinalCut and Adobe Premiere Pro are excellent paid tools.

Do I need a capture card if I play on PC?

If you’re only using a single PC for streaming and recording, a capture card is not always necessary. Well-equipped setups should have a GPU with encoders built in, ready to do it natively, and when used in conjunction with capture software, all the processes can be handled without needing a capture card.

There are a few cases when a capture card is necessary on a PC. Dual PC setups, which allow for offloading the streaming process from your main PC, can help improve overall performance and require a capture card. Additionally, streaming from a console to PC or other external sources requires a capture card, while higher-quality recording and capturing in specific file formats can benefit from a capture card.

Spider-Verse Filmmakers Lord and Miller Are Making an Archie Comics Movie

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the famous filmmaking pair known for Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street, The Mitchells vs. the Machines, and the Spider-Verse films, are about to tackle a new, unexpected project. They're making a film based on Archie comics.

As reported by Variety, Lord and Miller are producing a new live-action movie based on the comics, though as of yet there are no specific details about what story it will tell. We do know that Tom King, author of comics such as Marvel's The Vision, DC's Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, and various Batman and other DC projects, will write the screenplay. Emma Watts and Jon Goldwater will also produce, which will be done through Universal.

“We are longtime fans of Archie, Veronica, Betty, and the gang in all of their iterations,” the duo said in a statement. “When we heard Tom King’s take on the classic material, we instantly thought it made sense as an event movie for all audiences — both lifelong fans and a whole new generation. We’re so excited to bring these beloved characters to the big screen.”

Archie Comics have been running since the 1940s, with a reboot beginning in 2015 that ran through 2020. It's become a cultural staple, sparking iconic characters such as Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Josie and the Pussycats, Jughead, and 2017 teen drama series Riverdale. At its center, a love triangle between Betty, Veronica, and Archie has been a constant question and problem throughout the entire run of comics, finally culminating in a 2024 one-shot written by the same Tom King, in which Archie made a choice.

Get a Cordless Rechargeable Electric Air Duster for Your PC for Just $25 After Amazon Coupon

Maintaining a tidy desk area doesn't have to be labor intensive or expensive. Traditionally you would use a can of compressed air to clean out your PC, but they're essentially one-time use, they usually target a very small area (because of their tiny nozzle), and the cost can quickly add up. Nowadays there's a better solution. As part of its Back to School sale, Amazon has the EUKI Cordless Rechargeable Electric Air Duster (Air Blower) for just $24.99 after you clip a $15 off coupon on the product page. Most electric air dusters under $50 on Amazon are pretty much identical, so you just want to get the one that's on sale. There are other more powerful options out there, but they are considerably more expensive.

EUKI Cordless Electric Air Duster for PC for $24.99

The EUKI cordless rechargeable electric air duster is a fairly straightforward device. An internal fan spins at up to 15,000RPM to move an appreciable amount of air. A nozzle funnels the air into a tight, high-velocity stream that's more than strong enough to kick up layers of dust that's been sitting on top of your computer components. It has three speed settings, although I would recommend keeping it at the max speed for optimal results. Note that it doesn't come with a long, thin nozzle like the ones that come with compressed air canisters. If that's what you're looking for, the deal below might be a better fit. The duster weighs about 12 ounces, light enough to be used for a while.

The best thing about an electronic duster compared to a can of compressed air is that it can be re-used. The battery lasts up to 100 minutes on a full charge (lower on max setting). It can be recharged within 2 hours with a USB Type-C cable, which is included. I have a similar variant of this air duster that I use for all manner of cleaning, not just my PC (cleaning my coffee grinder and blow drying my dog are two examples). If possible, do your dusting outside.

Check out this duster if you want more nozzle options

Here's another deal worth consideration. Amazon just recently dropped the price of the JVSCAM electric air duster to $19.99 after a $20 off coupon code: "L8MXVQ25" is applied. The duster itself looks identical to the EUKI version, except that the fan spins at a slower 13,000RPM. In return, you get four different nozzles, including some narrow designs that are good for tight spaces like the crevices in your keyboard.
