Voyager 26.04-alpha2

Voyager Live is an Xubuntu-based distribution and live DVD showcasing the Xfce desktop environment. Its features include the Avant Window Navigator or AWN (a dock-like navigation bar), Conky (a program which displays useful information on the desktop), and over 300 photographs and animations that can be used as desktop backgrounds. The project also develops several other editions of Voyager Live - a "GE" edition with GNOME Shell, a "GS" variant for Gamers, and a separately-maintained flavour based on Debian's "stable" branch.

Exe GNU/Linux was a Debian-based desktop Linux distribution, it transitioned to using a Devuan base in 2017. Its primary goal is to provide a Debian variant that ships with a slightly re-themed Trinity desktop environment (a fork of KDE 3), as well as several useful scripts and utilities. It offers LXDE as an alternative desktop. It uses the official Devuan repositories, as well as the Trinity mirror for updating the desktop environment. The project strives to ship free software only and provides a collection of system rescue tools.

It combines Gentoo's source-based optimization, Funtoo's innovative tools and Macaroni OS's modern, container-friendly approach. Vipnix integrates the lightweight LXQt desktop environment and the educational XLibre X11 server into a live operating system designed for enthusiasts, professionals and system recovery tasks. It is developed by Vipnix, a Brazilian IT solutions company specialising in customised infrastructure, cybersecurity, data protection and biotechnology.

MODICIA O.S. is a Linux multimedia distribution designed primarily for musicians, graphic designers and video makers. It is based on Debian's "stable" branch, but uses the Cinnamon desktop and a recent Linux kernel. MODICIA O.S. comes with a set of carefully-selected, open-source multimedia software and tools, such as Audacity (audio editor), Brasero (disc-burning utility), Cheese (webcam application), Curlew (multimedia converter), GIMP (graphics editor), HandBrake (video transcoder), Kdenlive (video editor), MediaInfo (tool that provides technical data about media files), mpv (media player), Peek (animated GIF recorder), RawTherapee (photo processor), XnView (image viewer), and many others. The distribution also integrates the OnlyOffice software suite for general office tasks.

Puppy 2510-251119

Puppy Linux is yet another Linux distribution. What's different here is that Puppy is extraordinarily small, yet quite full-featured. Puppy boots into a ramdisk and, unlike live CD distributions that have to keep pulling stuff off the CD, it loads into RAM. This means that all applications start in the blink of an eye and respond to user input instantly. Puppy Linux has the ability to boot off a flash card or any USB memory device, CDROM, Zip disk or LS/120/240 Superdisk, floppy disks, internal hard drive. It can even use a multisession formatted CD-RW/DVD-RW to save everything back to the CD/DVD with no hard drive required at all.

CloudLinux OS is a commercial Linux distribution for servers, based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux. It is available in three editions, "Solo", "Admin" and "Shared Pro". The "Solo" edition is for single-user accounts; it includes website monitoring, performance detection and performance optimization tools. The "Admin" variant is for agencies, small and medium-sized businesses, and professionals with up to 5 hosting accounts, offering flexibility for virtual private servers (VPS) and dedicated servers. "Shared Pro" is the most advanced edition of CloudLinux OS as it includes advanced automation, deep-look performance analytics, and centralized monitoring tools. (Starting with version 10, CloudLinux OS ceased to provide installation ISO images; it now provides just a Bash script that converts an existing AlmaLinux installation into CloudLinux OS. As such, CloudLinux OS 10 is no longer classified as a "Linux distribution".)

TrueNAS CORE (previously known as FreeNAS) is a free and Open Source Network-Attached Storage (NAS) operating system that supports file, block and object storage. TrueNAS CORE is FreeBSD based and is a community-supported branch of the TrueNAS project, sponsored by iXsystems. It also has a commercial branch called TrueNAS Enterprise and a free and HyperConverged storage solution called TrueNAS SCALE. The TrueNAS SCALE branch is based on the Debian Linux distribution.

Proxmox is a commercial company offering specialised products based on Debian GNU/Linux, notably Proxmox Virtual Environment and Proxmox Mail Gateway. Proxmox Virtual Environment is an open-source virtualisation platform for running virtual appliances and virtual machines. Proxmox Mail Gateway is a mail gateway with anti-spam and anti-virus features. The products are offered as free downloads with paid-for support and subscription options.

Bluefin is an Linux distribution, based on Fedora Silverblue or CentOS, that aims to provide a stable and secure system with pre-installed software and hardware support, GNOME desktop, Flatpak integration, and Distrobox inclusion. It features an immutable, read-only root file system, enhancing system stability and security. Bluefin provides various editions of the product, including "gts" (based on the previous stable version of Fedora), "stable" (based on the current stable version of Fedora), and "lts" (based on the current version of CentOS Stream). It also offers a developer mode with various tools and container-based technologies for developers.

Aurora is a Fedora Silverblue-based Linux distribution with the goal of being a general-purpose workstation. It uses the KDE Plasma desktop. Like Fedora Silverblue, Aurora's root filesystem is immutable (read-only), which makes the system more stable, less prone to bugs, and easier to test and develop. Updates, upgrades and rollbacks to a previous image are available via the rpm-ostree utility. The distribution also features Flatpak applications and Toolbox containers.

ChromeOS Flex, developed by Google, is a free and lightweight Linux distribution based on Gentoo-derived ChromeOS. Unlike ChromeOS which is designed specifically for Chromebook computers, ChromeOS Flex can be installed on most x86_64 devices with a AMD or Intel processors, offering a Chromebook-like experience. The product's functionality can be further extended by installing a Debian-based Linux subsystem with a complete Linux development environment. ChromeOS Flex is available as a BIN image that can be transferred to a bootable USB Flash drive; it can be used in a "live" mode or it can be permanently installed to a computer's hard disk.

Calculate Linux is a Gentoo-based family of three distinguished distributions. Calculate Directory Server (CDS) is a solution that supports Windows and Linux clients via LDAP + SAMBA, providing proxy, mail and Jabbers servers with streamlined user management. Calculate Linux Desktop (CLD) is a workstation and client distribution (with a choice of Cinnamon, KDE Plasma, LXQt, MATE or Xfce desktops) that includes a wizard to configure a connection to Calculate Directory Server. Calculate Linux Scratch (CLS) is a live CD with a build framework for creating a custom distribution.

MiniOS "Standard" is a compact system designed for everyday computing tasks, while "Toolbox" is designed for maintenance, diagnostics and recovery of computer systems; it provides a rich set of graphical and console tools for working with disks and partitions, network diagnostics and administration, data security, data and password recovery, hardware fault diagnosis and testing, as well as other utilities. Finally, the "Ultra" variant of MiniOS provides an extensive set of software tools designed both for maintenance and diagnostics of computer systems and for solving a wide range of general office tasks.

ZimaOS is an independently-developed, Linux-based operating system for personal servers and network-attached storage (NAS) devices. It features system-level support for remote access, RAID configuration, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and a browser-based user interface for managing the server. It is developed in China by IceWhale Technology Limited, which also produces and sells specialist storage hardware devices called "ZimaCube". Besides ZimaOS which is a complete, standalone operating system, the company also produces CasaOS, a lightweight software layer that can be installed on top of an existing Linux installation in order to turn it into a personal server or a NAS.

Vendefoul Wolf is a lightweight, Devuan-based Linux distribution featuring the Trinity desktop. As the init software, it offers a choice of SysV or runit, instead of systemd. Some of the distribution's other main features include the LibreWolf web browser, the Calamares system installer, an application store, and its own repository of software packages. Besides the main edition, Vendefoul Wold also produces various community spins with alternative desktops and window manager, such as Cinnamon, Enlightenment, JWM, MATE and Xfce.

Finnix is a small, self-contained, bootable Linux CD distribution for system administrators, based on Debian. It can be used to mount and manipulate hard drives and partitions, monitor networks, rebuild boot records, install other operating systems, and much more.

AlmaLinux OS is an open-source, community-driven project that is built from the source code of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). AlmaLinux is a completely binary compatible fork of RHEL and it is maintained by AlmaLinux OS Foundation which is a register non-profit.

VyOS 2025.11 "Stream"

VyOS is a community fork of Vyatta, a Linux distribution discontinued in 2013. It is a network operating system that provides software-based network routing, firewall and VPN functionality. VyOS is based on Debian; its features include the ability to run on both physical and virtual platforms, and support for para-virtual drivers and integration packages for virtual platforms. VyOS was completely free to download and use until the release of version 1.2.0 in January 2019 when the project turned commercial, providing the operating system with various levels of support subscriptions. Daily "rolling" images are still available for free download though.
