Colby Cosh: Alberta wants election candidates who ‘are serious.’ Oh, the horror!

On Monday, Alberta Conservative House Leader Joseph Schow mentioned to reporters that the province’s government has legislation in the works to protect the Alberta electoral system from the shenanigans of the Longest Ballot Committee (LBC). It took a little longer than you might expect, unless you have absolutely any experience whatsoever with Canadian government. Read More

Chris Sankey: Tanker ban a detriment to Indigenous prosperity

The Alberta government’s recent proposal for an oil pipeline to the northwest coast has been met with opposition — primarily from B.C. Premier David Eby. I want to help set the record straight. Alberta’s government isn’t spending billions of taxpayer dollars to build a pipeline. They are merely paving a pathway for industry to invest in British Columbia which will significantly boost Canada’s GDP. Read More
