Apple currently only able to detect Pegasus spyware in half of infected iPhones

NSO’s Pegasus spyware is one of the most frightening privacy threats an iPhone owner can face. Without you taking any action at all, it’s able to completely take over your phone, accessing almost all of the personal data stored on it, and some versions have been able to activate cameras and microphones.

Visual Intelligence feature coming to iPhone 15 Pro with a future iOS update

Apple Intelligence is available for iPhone 15 Pro and later, but there’s an exclusive feature for , which is Visual Intelligence. Some believed this was because the iPhone 15 Pro lacks Camera Control, but that all changed with the iPhone 16e – which supports Visual Intelligence. Now Apple has confirmed that the feature will soon be available to iPhone 15 Pro owners too.

iPhone 16e has a binned version of the A18 chip – but what does that mean?

The new iPhone 16e, which was announced by Apple earlier today, features the A18 chip. In theory, this is the same chip that powers the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. However, as already reported by 9to5Mac, there is a slight difference in the chip inside the iPhone 16e, which suggests that Apple is using a binned chip in the less expensive model. But what exactly does this mean?

Apple says Severance has become its most popular show ever, overtaking Ted Lasso

The latest Nielsen charts showed that Severance was performing well with audiences, and now we have official confirmation from Apple itself.

Via Deadline, Apple TV+ says that Severance has become its most popular show ever, even overtaking its hit comedy Ted Lasso. The service recorded more unique viewers for Severance than any other title in its history, based on viewership in the first month after season two premiered.

Apple launches new iPhone 16e: Here’s everything you need to know

Apple has officially taken the wraps off of the all-new iPhone 16e. The device features an all-new design paired with the A18 chip inside, a 48MP camera, and full Apple Intelligence support. It also features the first-ever Apple-designed 5G cellular modem, the C1 chip.

The new iPhone 16e starts at $599 for 128GB and will be available to pre-order Friday, with the first orders arriving on February 28.

UK competition regulator wants iPhone browser competition, but Apple not allowed to win

The UK competition watchdog has effectively told Apple that it must allow free and open competition between iPhone web browsers, but at the same time Safari cannot be better than its competitors.

Trump’s 10% tariff hits US laptop prices, but Apple absorbing cost for now

Trump’s 10% tariff on all imports from China – payable in addition to any existing duties – is now in effect, and is starting to be reflected in US prices.

The tariff is paid by US businesses and consumers when goods arrive from China, with companies forced to choose between passing it on to consumers in the form of higher prices, or absorbing the costs and taking a hit to their profit margin …

Wireless reverse charging being tested in the iPhone 17 Pro – leaker

Wireless reverse charging is a long-awaited feature which we know Apple has been working on for a long time, and which it partly implemented back in 2020. However, it hasn’t been fully activated in any iPhone model, despite widespread adoption in Android smartphones.

Our own sources have indicated that Apple is working on a more advanced version, and a new report says that the feature is currently being tested in prototypes of the iPhone 17 Pro
