It’s been half a year since iOS 26 debuted in beta, so I’ve had quite a bit of time to sit with it. In a release with such a massive redesign, it’s easy for some of the smaller additional features to fly under the radar – but after giving iOS 26 my fair shot, I’ve come to really like one underlying feature in particular, and it has to do with screenshots.

Last year, Apple introduced a new model at the bottom of the iPhone lineup, and it launched iPhone 16e. Now, the company is expected to follow up just a year later with a successor. Here’s what’s rumored.

For an IT Director in 2026, you are probably overwhelmed with AI tools and strategies that promise to answer every question, so you never have to read a support document again. The problem can often be with data sources. If I ask a third-party LLM why a specific configuration profile setting is failing to work as you want on macOS, they are likely to guess based on data scraped from Reddit threads or other random places. The iPhone Air is the most exciting iPhone Apple has released since the iPhone X. It’s thin, lightweight, and amazingly designed, and for the first time in a long time, it’s different. iOS 26 brings visual intelligence to screenshots, enabling several new features. But there’s one I only recently discovered that solves the common problem of plain text URLs you can’t easily tap to open.

Mosyle, a popular Apple device management and security firm, has exclusively shared details with 9to5Mac on a previously unknown macOS malware campaign. While crypto miners on macOS aren’t anything new, the discovery appears to be the first Mac malware sample uncovered in the wild that contains code from generative AI models—officially confirming what was inevitable.

At the time of discovery, Mosyle’s security research team says the threat was undetected by all major antivirus engines. This comes nearly a year after Moonlock Lab warned about chatter on dark web forums indicating how large language models were being used to write malware targeting macOS.
