Smart Home Diary: Planning my new smart home, 13 years later

I’m just about starting to believe that I may be heading into the final stages of an extremely lengthy attempt to sell one apartment and buy another, so I’m currently giving some thought to the smart home technology I’ll want in my new home.

New romantic comedy film ‘Eternity’ is now streaming on Apple TV

Just in time for Valentines Day, Apple TV today premieres a new romantic comedy movie film Eternity, starring Elizabeth Olsen, Callum Turner and Miles Teller.

Based in an afterlife where souls choose their living arrangements in eternity, Joan is faced with the choice of continuing her marriage with her long-term husband, or picking her first love, a man who died young and was waiting for her to arrive all this time. The movie was originally released last year in theaters by A24, and is now streaming on Apple TV.

Apple says it is still on track to launch new Siri this year, as promised

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman yesterday reported that Apple’s new Siri initiative was facing internal delays, having originally been planned to start rolling out with iOS 26.4. Gurman suggested features may start appearing in iOS 26.5, or later releases in the year.

That report has seemingly rocked investor confidence, with Apple stock plummeting today. Seemingly in response, CNBC’s Steve Kovach says Apple confirmed to him that it remains on track to launch new Siri this year, which is essentially reaffirming what it has promised publicly all along.

New Eero Signal promises to keep you connected during internet outages

Eero has announced a new Eero Signal product that it says will let you “say goodbye to internet outages.”

“Eero Signal delivers cellular backup whenever your wired internet connection goes down,” the company explains. It’s available in both 4G LTE and 5G RedCap versions.
