A war veteran who lost both his legs in Afghanistan has become the first double above-knee amputee to summit the highest peaks on every continent in the world.

Hari Budha Magar, MBE, 46, has become the first double above-knee amputee to summit the highest peaks on every continent in the world.

Magar reached the top of Mount Vinson in Antarctica on Tuesday — - the final peak of his epic mission.

The world record-breaking mountaineer’s climb was a grueling three days and he battled through -25 degree-Celsius temperatures.

Mount Vinson is the the highest mountain on Antarctica at 4,892 meters.
