Tadej Pogacar launched one of his trademark uphill attacks to win the Liège–Bastogne–Liège classic race for the third time on Sunday. The defending champion made his move about 35km (22 miles) from the end of the undulating 252km (156-mile) trek to open up a gap of 10sec at the top, and then kept increasing it all the way to the line.

It was his third victory overall at the spring classic race, which is also one of the five “monuments” in one-day cycling along with Paris-Roubaix on the cobbles, the Tour of Lombardy, Milan-San Remo and the Tour of Flanders. Pogacar now has nine “monument” victories.

After seven second-place finishes in sprints and races this season, Álex secured a dream race win on home turf in front of over 100,000 fans, with the Spaniard imploring them to increase the volume as he took the last few corners on the final lap in Jerez.

(Reuters) - L’action Dassault Systèmes recule nettement jeudi à la Bourse de Paris, le groupe ayant publié un chiffre d’affaires trimestriel inférieur aux attentes et revu à la baisse ses prévisions de marge opérationnelle, sur fond d’environnement de marché volatil. Vers 09h09 GMT, le titre recule de 6,7% à 31,59 euros, parmi les pires performances du CAC 40 qui abandonne 0,90% au même moment. Le fabricant français de logiciels a fait état d'un chiffre d'affaires de 1,57 milliard d'euros entre janvier et mars, soit une hausse de 4% à taux de change constants, mais en-deçà du consensus Visible Alpha de 1,60 milliard d'euros.

Le fabricant franco-italien de puces, qui avait annoncé en novembre s'attendre à un ralentissement de la demande jusqu'en 2025, avait prévenu en janvier après une année 2024 difficile, que le premier trimestre 2025 serait le "point bas" de l'exercice fiscal, et n'avait pas annoncé d'objectifs annuels par manque de visibilité. Enregistrant un chiffre d'affaires net en baisse de 27,3% à 2,52 milliards de dollars au premier trimestre, en ligne avec son objectif - jugé insuffisant par les analystes lors de son annonce -, STMicro cite un "environnement actuel qui est incertain" et ne se prononce toujours pas sur ses objectifs annuels détaillés.

(Reuters) - Orange a fait état jeudi d'un EBITDAaL en hausse de 3,2% sur un an au premier trimestre, conformément aux attentes, le groupe citant la bonne performance de la vente au détail et les efforts pour améliorer l'efficacité opérationnelle. L'opérateur de télécommunications affiche un EBITDAaL (bénéfice avant intérêts, impôts, dépréciation et amortissement après location) - son principal indicateur de rentabilité - à 2,48 milliards d'euros, conformément aux attentes des analystes, selon un consensus fourni par le groupe. Orange enregistre également sur le trimestre un chiffre d'affaires en hausse de 0,6% à 9,91 milliards d'euros, légèrement en-dessous des attentes des analystes qui tablaient sur 9,92 milliards d'euros.
